Light, fast, and it was on a monster discount. Not sure I would’ve bought it at full price, but the discount totally made it worthwhile.

Great computer compared to what I threw away, an OLD 32 bit that I raised to a 64 bit Windows 10 and it was really bad. This one I bought has worked flawlessly.

    Do not recommend this laptop

I was on the fence of buying a MacBook but decided to go with this option in hopes of saving a little bit of money. That was the worse decision I could have made. I am in my fourth year of college and will be graduating from nursing school this May. The laptop started off as a great investment but over the years it just started loading a lot slower and now decides to shut down at random times despite having a full charge. This little random shutdown mode has made me lose countless numbers of paperwork and essays that were supposedly autosaving on Word but were not. I am so over this laptop and am just ready to never use it again.

I have some issues whenever I want to print a document. Fortunately, I don't need to print often. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with this computer.

DEFECTIVE HINGES, WILL BREAK BETWEEN 1 - 2 YEARS!!

Less than 2 years old and one of the hinges is broken. Detaching part of the screen from the frame. Checking on line will show that this is a COMMON problem with this computer which HP has not acknowledged. There are several class action lawsuits on this matter. It was a great computer until now. HP will charge $120 for a hinge, you have to replace it yourself. $400 for them to perform the repair. Complete rip off on a DESIGN FLAW that they are aware off. DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER!!!!!

I have hardly ever opened this all the way around, and never dropped it and have been very careful with it... And the hinge broke so now I can't open it close at all... After 1 year! I will never buy this kind of hinge again. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

    Defective hinges

Hinges broke off after a year of minimal use. Wished I knew of the hinge issues hp envy owners were dealing with before I decided on this model. I did not purchase an extended warranty and now it will cost me $200 to get the hinges fixed
