||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP-Envy 17.3" Laptop - Intel Core i7 -12GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Natural Silver was purchased as an open box item on 10/18/22 for $734.18 I figured that it was a display item which I have done before with good results. I started set-up on 11/05, and continued with 32 update downloads, deleted unwanted programs, and downloaded other wanted programs. Set up security program 11/13 + 11/14 and registered product with 10/18 date. HP warranty showed start date as 08/16/22, and end date 08/15/23. The order showed an open box condition when purchased was "Excellent" in the order details. I called Best Buy Support and found out it had been a return that was brand new and reset to factory specs. Checking the box it came in I found a small label about 1" x 2" that states: "This unit is a floor sample, returned, or reconditioned product. Full Manufacturer Warranty text is available upon on request." I asked Best Buy to honor the full 1yr, and they let me know to "dispute" the warranty on the HP site. They also wanted to sell me on a warranty $49.99 up front for the 1st month, and the $14.99/mo for 3 years. That's $169.88 for the first year, and $359.76 for the next two years for a total of $529.64 or 72% of the item cost. I politely said: no thank you.

HP did it again! A true work of art this time!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is absolutely the most enjoyable laptop that I've ever owned. I will start out by saying that my budget didn't include purchasing such a nice laotop, but I was able to acquire it as "open box". Make sure to keep an eye out for these deals. In fact, every "open box" purchase I've ever made at Best Buy over the years, has been absolutely pleasurable. I don't regret any of these purchases. I was hoping to get a 9th or 10th gen laptop. I was using a 6 i5 6th gen model and it would no longer keep up with what I needed. I was really needed to move to Windows 11 but that required an 8th gen model, I believe. That's when I came across this beauty. Once looking at the details of this model, I noticed they had an "open-box" link where you add it to your cart. I was ecstatic!! I thought an i7 12-generation model was only a dream for me. However, this dream became a reality with open-box pricing. I did have to drive an hour away to pick it up at a different Best Buy, but oh, was it worth it. Upon opening it, it didn't appear to be in "Satisfactory" condition, it appeared to be BRAND NEW. It was in the original HP box, with all paperwork and accessories. It did NOT appear as if it had ever been used at all. I, of course, was doing my best not to drool on it as it was absolutely beautiful. When I got home and played around with it, I decided to upgrade it. I immediately upgraded the memory to 64GB (2x 32 GB modules) and installed a 2TB m.2 drive, both of which were purchased at Best Buy at great prices. When I open the laptop, it immediately cuts on, recognizes my face, and logs me into the desktop without typing a password or pin code. In fact, I set up my wife an account on this laptop and when she's looking at it, it recognizes that it's her and logs in as her. Windows 11 has some really nice features. Overall, this is the fastest, nicest, and most beautiful laptop that I've ever had a chance to use. Even when working, I had been given 9th and 10th generation equipment to use while onsite. However, there's nothing as nice as this 12th generation. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I have! Your friend in Virginia

Touch screen is super responsive. Speakers are crisp and clear too. I used it to run stream labs, works efficiently enough to multitask while running slobs.

The best computer I have ever owned.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best computer I have ever owned and I have had many many computers. Every thing about it is top notch. The speed is so fast it is unbelievable, it will boot up in less then 30 seconds and it will launch a program like excel or word in the snap of a finger. The computer screen is so clean and vibrant and the touch screen works a lot better than the last two computers I have owned. I have it connected to a 32" monitor via an HDMI cable and it maxes out the monitor resolution at 2560 x 1440. It just looks so real. The picture below, of the monitor screen does not show the full " Real Life" of how bright and clean the display is and the signal the computer is sending to it.

Envybook pro
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.SUPER DIFFICULT getting trackpad to work with hp envy/synaptic/microsoft ALL dropping the ball on easily accessable drivers that MAKE DEVICES WORK! other then that, this is Amaze-balls hardware. If it had 'gaming' in the title it would be 1500 more. If it had a pic of an apple, it would be $2500 more.

Highly recommended laptop computer!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice computer and high quality! Fast and beautiful graphics. Easy to use with touch screen and easy to add a click mouse if you feel more comfortable. I use both. Thank you Bestbuy for offering a great sale price on this. The gentleman that helped me was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Even though he had a line of people behind me he never rushed me or made me feel pushed to make a decision. He answered all my questions and I feel because of him I got the best computer for my needs. Thank you BestBuy!

Seems to be the best of the 10 I tried.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great laptop; I've purchased about 10 in the past several months looking for the "one" and finally decided on this. Granted, I'm not oblivious to the tech specs, but for me, it's all about user interaction; the keyboard is good, the keyboard layout makes sense (simple things like one key "home" function etc.), it's sturdy (unlike the equivalent Samsung I purchased) and it doesn't consistently crash. Cons: the monitor seems somewhat strangely engineered. There are two small 'brackets' that connect the monitor to the computer and they seem to make a "popping" sound when encountering any physical resistance, which happens nearly every time it is opened. I'm not 100% sure of the cause, but regardless, it's annoying. I can't tell if it makes it more robust or fragile ultimately, but I suppose something of which to be aware. Also, this thing is HEAVY. Granted, all these cons are the ultimate in first world problems, but for a laptop of this caliber, I'd expect at min. 20% less weight. It also doesn't seem to have the offsetting battery life I would expect in exchange for the heft. Not terrible, but nothing extraordinary, for the imposed bicep curls. Lastly, and most nitpickingly, given the choice between this and any other color, I'd happily have taken blue, black or anything else/darker. Just shows everything, doesn't hold up to wear as well and generally looks a little basic.
