Disappointing product - DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This product is a complete disappointment of a vacuum. It does not pick up large debris as it is marketed to. I even got the model that has the hardwood floor attachment, and that extension does not pick up simple debris. I have two cats so there is always food on the floor. This vacuum won’t pick up the debris with either the hardwood attachment or the standard carpet brush. Another failure of this device is if you go longer than a few days from vacuuming, any hair. dirt or any other debris will not be picked up and deposited into the content container. Anything I vacuum up gets stuck in the vacuum channel, subsequently causing there to be a blockage in the vacuum. I usually have to clear the blockage 2 or 3 times while vacuuming my living room alone. If you are trying to vacuum small pieces of paper, this will cause a blockage in the vacuum channel. If you’re trying to vacuum large debris in the carpet, this will cause a blockage. The last issue that I have is with the filter. The directions state you should wash the filter with warm water and let the filter sit for 24 hours. This is false; I typically have to let the filter sit for 4 or 5 days to completely dry. If the filter is not 100% dry, the vacuum will refuse to work properly. Overall, I am very disappointed by this product. With the price tag that comes with this device, I expected it to work at least moderately well. I will never buy another Dyson product again. I would strongly recommend not purchasing this device or line of devices. Save your money and time and look at a different product.

Your machine does offer multiple suction modes, to tackle any size debris or mess in your home. If you find that while cleaning you are making multiple passes to pick up your mess, we would suggest switching to a higher suction mode.
