Pricy girl tax
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech G735 initial out-of-the-box review with no software customizations: Pros: - dual device audio mixing/playback - comfier for smaller heads, glasses, earrings - voice sounds less tinny than other mics - rgb (personally don't care about this, I would sacrifice the lights for the headset to be 25g lighter) Cons: - mic picks up background noise easily (typing, meowing, chatter, etc) - mic tends to cut off at the end of speech or higher pitches - rf range is pretty short/can't handle going down/upstairs - not much noise isolation (personally don't care unless the leaf blowers are out) - expensive for what you get $160 Logitech doesn't even give you an aux cord. You have to buy the aux cord, different colored ear pads, and the carrying case separately. In comparison, out-of-the-box Razer Barracuda: Pros: - mic handles background noise better - rf range works even down/upstairs - significantly better noise isolation - price less than half $70 Cons: - doesn't support audio mixing - switching between audio sources kind of annoying - could be smaller and comfier/less pinched Final thoughts: The Logitech g735 is comfy and convenient with dual device playback. However, it has a girl tax on it and they copped out on the mic and older Bluetooth version. For the price, the mic quality doesn't match the rest of the components. Logitech can charge so much for this headset because there aren't any lightweight wireless gaming headsets for smaller people. I'm looking for a wireless rf headset with Bluetooth for both work (Mac) and gaming (PC, console, mobile) that won't pick up background noise from family members or coworkers. The G735 check off everything except the mic. I hope Logitech, Razer, or literally any other hardware company makes more headsets that fit comfortably on smaller heads. I'll be waiting for a better headset that does everything I want. Meanwhile, I'll keep testing these and the Razer before I decide which one will do the job for now.

Good headphones, don’t listen to the static review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like these a lot! The removable mic is very handy if you have somewhere to store it while not using. The static sound that people write about is actually something easily fixable on the headphones themselves, the wheel that is not the volume is fixing it in a second. After setting them up I got the static in certain frequencies and managed to fix it that way, never had a problem since. The headphones themselves give good sound and are pretty sound proof for gamer headphones, the fake leather could be better but after using them every day for hours for the past few months they look like new so I can’t complain. Connectivity and sound are great and easy so no problems there. The charge lasts quite long (about a 5 days/week depending on use and I use them every day). Overall very satisfied even though the price point is a little high (I bought on sale and so should you)

Best headset I’ve ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Consider me influenced, but I had to get this after seeing it hyped up in almost everyone’s gaming setup that I follow online. It’s pretty pricey, but you pay for what you get and I’m really happy I did. it’s the comfiest headset I’ve ever worn, and I love how the soft pastel lighting looks. There’s plenty of ways to customize the headset through the software, the software itself seems pretty user friendly and simple. The sound is nice and crisp and I could definitely wear these for hours with no discomfort. I did have an issue once where the headset seemed to disconnect for an unknown reason and I ended up having to uninstall it from my pc and restart it, that seemed to do the trick, it could have just been an issue on my pc though. it hasn’t happened again since so it could’ve been some fluke. Overall I’m really happy with it though, if you have a white setup or just want some cozy vibes, you need this headset!

Good with a few "I can live with that"s
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for an update to my Logitech G ProX wired headset and wanted to try moving to something wireless. A couple of cons right off the bat: pairing was surprisingly frustrating for what should have been plug and play, the range is surprisingly short/finnicky, headset still sometimes disconnects/has issues showing up in GHUB. My first thought was that the headband seemed less cushioned than what I have been used to, but I've worn these for upwards of 12+ hours (8 hour WFH, gaming/discord after) and have 0 complaints about comfort. Sound quality holds up as well - when it connects to GHUB properly, it's very easy to adjust sound profiles. I use an external mic so have not utilized the mic much, but appreciate that it's detachable. Overall I'm very content and it ticks enough boxes to be well worth keeping as the replacement.

Feel the comfort of the clouds
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good!! I hope it lasts like this. Y my favorite thing about this headset aside from the sound and comfort is actually the fact that you can change out the ear pad cuffs and mic boom! This is my first Logitech headset and it’s been a good experience so far! Oh the RGB customization is also great and I’ve used this on PC, Mobile.

It’s incredibly comfortable and very good looking. It sounds great with great bass as well. I’m giving it 4 stars because at this price I feel like it should have a removable battery. If I could give it a 4.5 I would. Pros: -Great EQ -Comfort -Battery Life -Simultaneous Bluetooth and 2.4ghz connection -Looks Cons: -Price -No removable Battery -wish there was a led indicator that is always on when the mic is muted

I'm Left Perplexed...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR AKA CONCLUSION: Honestly, I went in not expecting to like this headset. And testing the headset on the “flat” preset left a lot to be desired. But the Custom EQ completed changed that to be a more critical/analytical sound which I prefer and allowed me to get really immersed in games. They do a ton of things right that help justify that price such as having solid battery life, great comfort, solid microphone, a plethora of different use cases, aesthetics are on point, and build quality is great. However, I ran into quite a few issues such as the Bluetooth not always connecting to things first go, the low 16-bit sound quality compared to 24-bit that you can find with the competition, the inability to use the default presets to actually take hold (as the custom EQ was the only one that took hold), issues with the PS5, limited onboard settings, and price. But I’m digging it and happy to have it a part of my collection. BUILD QUALITY: Aesthetically this is one of the most attractive headsets I’ve ever seen. Starting from the top down, the headband itself is excellent. Normally thin bands like this leave the top of my head sore but with these it feels like there is a lot of padding there, even though when you check there isn’t much there. This illusion is mostly due to them being evenly distributed across the top of your head along with the air inside being easily deflated. On the base of headband on both sides, you have bumps to tell the user which earcup is left and right along with large “L” and “R” as visual cues. The adjustment band reminds me a lot of the Apple AirPods Max as it is made from metal and smoothly adjusts up and down and then holds its place once you let go. The adjustment size is MASSIVE. Allowing it to fit small heads (not quite kid size but close) along with large/very large heads. The clamping force is light meaning if you rock out your headset will go meet the rock gods. Moving onto the earcups themselves. They are on a joint that allows it to adjust to each individual’s head, along with rotating ever so slightly anteriorly and 180 degrees posteriorly so they can lay down on your neck. They are quite wide and deep allowing most ears to fit comfortably. The padding is also ultra-soft and malleable making them uber comfortable. It’s almost like a cloud. Seriously, both the earpads and the headband are made from of the softest and cushiest material I’ve ever seen. Like I’m not usually a big tactile guy but these make me want to be that way. Even the plastic coating they use on the outer earcups themselves feel great by being kind of like a soft rubber/thick paint. The material is a type of pleather though, which means those who struggle with hot ears may not like these. As they are also a closed back headset meaning you get some mild noise isolation naturally which I personally like but others may not. They are incredibly lightweight at 260 grams so there were a lot of times I forgot they were even on my head. Making them one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve tried. They are also incredibly well built as I notice no creaking and they feel well put together. You can twist them in any direction you want, and they are just fine. So, they should last a good long time. Some nice quality of life improvements that you don’t find on other headsets are that the headband itself has a tight weave which prevents hair pulling. The earpads are also made to allow room for small earrings and glasses. Personally, I don’t rock earrings and have never had my hair pulled so I can’t comment on those. But I do wear glasses, and these are still very comfortable with them on. Additionally, you can replace the earpads with different colors which currently include lime green, pink, and white and cost $19.99 for a pair. They just pull off the headset itself, which is quite terrifying as you think you’re just going to rip off that joint. They are also not easy to put back on. So, I don’t recommend taking them off unless if you need to. As I see this as a failure point. CONTROLS: On the left earcup going top to bottom you have your power button. To turn on/off you hold it for two seconds. To turn on/off the lighting you double tap the power button. Below that is the volume wheel. It has a stiff feel to it, scrolls nicely, with very dedicated steps that are practically silent to your ear. It is unlimited so it doesn’t have a set maximum or minimum but inside the headset it will beep when at the max point but not at the minimum point. I’m not the biggest fan. As I prefer to have a hard-set maximum/minimum and if not give me a beep at both points over just one. Below that you have the mic mute button. Then you have the 3.5 mm port. Followed by the removeable microphone port. Going into the right earcup, top to bottom, you have the swap button. Which goes between 3.5 mm mode and Bluetooth/LIGHTSPEED mode. When on 3.5mm mode it will turn off Bluetooth and Lightspeed. Below that you have a volume up for LIGHTSPEED on the top and a volume up for Bluetooth on the bottom for your real time mixing of your LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth sound. This is a neat idea that is poorly executed. As you can only volume up but never volume down which makes it hard to get the correct sound. Personally, I think they should have had a button that swapped between Bluetooth and Lightspeed so you could use volume up/down to get the perfect mix. MICROPHONE: It comes with a detachable, Discord Certified, Blue VO!CE and Nvidia Broadcast enabled, microphone. Which is a slew of technical terms that pretty much means it should sound pretty darn good. And thankfully it does. With the Blue VO!CE Filter off I think it sounds good for a headset microphone, much less a wireless one. Once you add the Blue VO!CE Filters it may sound better. As you can choose an EQ that fits your personal voice style. Personally, I left it OFF as I preferred that sound. But to say it is great/excellent would be overselling it. It’s good, it does the job, and it does it relatively well. But isn’t anything special either. You can be plugged into your PC with the LIGHTSPEED Wireless and connected to Bluetooth device and be able to use your microphone on BOTH devices at the same time. Which I thought was neat. As for some other tidbits. The microphone itself isn’t flexible… like at all. So, you pretty much get what you get. There is a dedicated mute button on the bottom of the left earcup which doesn’t make any sound to the listener when pressed for muting or unmuting. It does make a small jingle in your ear though. But otherwise, does not give you any warning you are muted. It comes with Nvidia Broadcast if you have an RTX GPU which can eliminate everything in the background. In the Logitech G Hub you can also enable SideTone which allows you to hear yourself in real time without delay and it works really well. I like it A LOT. Last, the only two negatives I can think of are that you can’t adjust game/chat volume. SOUND QUALITY: The sound on these is extremely hard to explain. It comes in at 20 Hz- 20 KHz and is 16 bit 48,000 Hz in windows. Through Logitech G Hub you do have a 5 band EQ with different presets you can choose from. I tested it out mostly with stock settings which was a “Flat” EQ. As I assume most will leave it on that. Despite that claimed “Flat” EQ it clearly has a heavy emphasis on bass and Mids. I would say it does give some nice rumbling lows making explosions and bass sound good. Then you have the mids which almost make it sound dark and veiled. But you still get some very good crips highs. Overall, it has a satisfying listening experience, but not a critical one. Seeing as the marketing for these is to “have fun gaming” it nails that. As I think most people would put these on and go, they sound good. Not great, not bad, just good. They are terrible competitive headphones. As the directional quality and imaging is slightly above average where I’m left guessing the general location of someone over knowing exactly where they are. However, I’m able to pull apart different sounds when actively listening for it. I also miss a ton of audio cues such as footsteps, reloads, and other things as the bass overbears everything. However, that is what makes them great for single player, media, and music. As vocals (both male and female) sound great and allow you to really get lost in whatever it is you’re listening to. However, if you do a custom EQ I found it completely TRANSFORMED the sound. Making it go from solid to great all around even for competitive games. As I was able to hear nearly all audio cues, directional sound was greatly improved, things sounded more realistic and crisp as it removed the muddiness, while having a great low end. Making it so I enjoyed them for competitive play and loved them for immersive play as it made me think I was actually there. My custom settings are below. I also, loved using these on my phone and TV. As the Bluetooth works well and keeps that custom sound profile. To sum this up, “Flat” EQ was adequate/good. But made me not enjoy the headset. My custom EQ makes me LOVE this headset and now I use it for nearly everything. Which was highly surprising to me. BATTERY LIFE: They report 16+ hours w/ RGB at 50% volume and 56+ hours w/out RGB at 50% volume. From my testing I got about 24 hours w/ RGB at 50% or less volume. But I think about 30% of that time I didn’t have anything playing. Which is acceptable. The 56 hours is good though. It recharges via USB C. It doesn’t have any fancy tech for quick charging. There is a little LED above the power button that will flash green while charging and when done will turn off. You can see the, battery level in Logitech G Hub.

||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plugged it into the front, broke as soon as my chair turned to the right. If i plugged it into the back and push my computer case back in its place, it would also damage it. Figure out how to make it less out there, this was a waste of $200. Currently using it with an aux cord but… I shouldnt have to do this. If the usb looked anything like the Razer Barracudas, it would be much better.

Super Comfortable - Great Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picking up the G735 I now have over a dozen gaming headphones, but only my 5th wireless setup. This is my 3rd Logitech Headset, and my first wireless one from them. I have headsets from Corsair, HyperX, Plantronics, Turtle Beach, Astro, Alienware, and Razer. I use my headsets mostly for music during my work day and for some light PC gaming, and Xbox (if the headset is compatible). For the G735’s are only PC/Mac, and phone compatible in Lightspeed wireless or Bluetooth. You can use the headset on consoles with the 3.5mm AUX mode (you must provide the cable). To make it worth the premium investment, the G735’s have to be excellent. Build Quality/Design The G735 has a standard closed back design with a removable mic boom, earcup based controls. The G735 is one of only a handful of white headsets I have owned/used, so its appearance is a little more striking than your standard all black headset. The headset uses a standard padded headband. The earcups are wrapped in a very comfortable leatherette material. Each earcup can rotate and lay flat making for easier transport/storage. The earcup attachment point is very robust looking and the headband adjustment is completed by extending the solid metal rod that extends into the headband. These are without a doubt some of the lightest weight headsets I have ever used at 260g, which is a full 30g lighter than my Rig 800HD’s (my previous lightest headset). The left earcup holds all of the ports and most of the controls – power/lighting toggle, volume wheel, and mute. It has the USB-C charging port, 3.5mm AUX port, and mic port. The right earcup hold the Bluetooth pairing button/source switching button, and the source mixer control. The volume wheel controls the headset volume independently of the system volume. Each earcup carries the Logitech G logo on the earcup cover, which is surround by an LED ring. Each LED ring is split into 2 sections with and upper half and lower half. Included in the box is the USB receiver (size of a thumb drive), a USB A to USB C cable, and a USB C to USB A adapter. The cable doubles as a charging cable for the headset, and as an extension for the USB receiver when used with the USB-C to USB-A adapter. This lets you route the dongle out of the back of you PC in order to improve reception, or to make access easier. Nothing else is included in the box, so even though the headset supports 3.5mm cable connections it does not include one. The volume control is a scroll wheel without any stops – infinite scroll in either direction. Turning on the headset requires pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds. Once powered on it the headset plays a little tone and then you are ready. Pressing the power button once turns off the lighting, and a double press turns it back on. Press and hold for a few seconds will power the headset off. The mic boom is removable, so muting the mic requires pressing the mute button on the bottom of the left earcup. Controlling other headset features requires using Logitech’s G HUB app (replaced the Logitech Gaming Software app). The headset is not supported by the old app, so I had to port all of my settings over to the new G Hub app for my mouse, powerplay mat, and keyboard. You can control sidetone level, mic volume, auto-shutoff, LED colors and brightness, custom sound EQ’s, and Blue VO!CE mic effects. Specs on the headset are pretty good. The battery life is excellent with 16hrs with LED’s on and 56hrs with lighting off. Range for the receiver is 60 ft, and by comparison has a similar range to my Corsair HS80’s, while my Rig 800HD’s made it several feet further. On Bluetooth the range is extended several feet further before things start to break up. The earcups come loaded with 40mm drivers, which is surprising since I figured the drivers would be 50mm at this price point. The overall design is a departure from a gaming headset perspective. These have a lifestyle angle with their design. They aim for comfort and expression. It may not be something that clicks with everyone, but I completely dig it. I have an all-white gaming tower and an all-white Alienware laptop, so these fit right in for my setups. The build quality here is also top notch – I can’t find a fault in how they were made. Comfort I typically prefer suspension band headsets for long-term wear because of the tendency for a pressure/heat band to form on the top of my head from most headsets with a standard band. Suspension bands minimize this the best. However, I have found that if the weight is kept down on the overall design then I don’t care as much and both setups provide the same comfort. This is exactly what has happened with the G735’s. They are so lightweight they just disappear on your head. The earcups are so soft feeling so they just squish comfortably against my head. I also wear glasses, and these are a joy to wear when I have my glasses on. My Turtle Beach Elite Pro headsets were also made for glasses wearers, and I think these might be a touch more comfortable. My only area of concern is warmth – the earcups will keep some extra heat around your head due to the leatherette material, but it wasn’t egregious. Compatibility The G735 is listed to be compatible with PC and Mac. It is also compatible with most oother things as a Bluetooth headset. The 3.5mm option makes it compatible as a wired headset with gaming consoles as well. I don’t have a PlayStation so I have no idea if you can connect this as a Bluetooth headset. Sound Through the G Hub software you have 7 preset EQ’s and the ability to create and save custom ones. IF you don’t have the software running you just roll with the default EQ, which sounds great out of the box. The G735’s opted to go with 40mm drivers. This is probably from a desire to keep the headset lighter and to improve some battery life (smaller drivers means less power to drive). In my experience the driver size was not the main differentiator in sound quality, but it was an indicator for deeper bass effects. I was surprised then with how much bass and thump I got with the 735’s. Definitely on par with my other premium end headsets that sport 50mm drivers. These have a typical frequency range of 20Hz-20KHz and a decent impedance of 38 Ohms (higher number hear is generally better sound, but needs more power). The sound once I got every setup the way I liked was excellent. Music sounds terrific – probably the best out of my collection of headsets. I liked the Big Bass EQ and then I modified to add a little more bottom end. I could listen to these headphones for hours without feeling any auditory fatigue – sounds were crisp and the isolation from the earcups lets me focus on just the music. For anything like calls or video chats the Bright and Crisp EQ did just fine and kept everything clear. For gaming I switched it up and kicked in the DTS surround settings. I’m usually not really big on simulated surround, but I gave it a chance and it sounds good. I definitely need to spend more time tweaking things, but it adds some character to the sound stage. For an FPS game I’m not sure if I really like the simulated sound, but for open world/single player adventure/racing sim/etc. games it adds to the immersion. Mic The mic is an removable and it comes supported by Blue VO!CE software enhancements. While attached to a PC with a Lightspeed connection you get all the processing and noise isolation benefits. I stuck with Subtle Polish as my mic EQ of choice. There’s also tons of enhancements and effects you can try out in the software as well. However, on Bluetooth you lose these enhancements. I found that the headset is very sensitive and really picks up background noise (like my loud HVAC intake fan, or my kids) when connected to Bluetooth. While hooked up to my PC with the G Hub software, I found that it filtered this all out well. If I planned to use this as a Bluetooth headset for talking, I might need to get a separate foam windscreen bulb to pop onto the end. Muting is easy and a little tone plays for when you mute (bee boop) and unmute (boo beep). Other Thoughts One thing I really appreciate is the packaging. Everything is renewable and recyclable paper packaging. No plastic whatsoever. As an engineer currently undergoing a green packaging shift with my own work, I respect the push that Logitech has made with this product. Green packaging is often more expensive, but it’s better for the environment. Conclusion Overall, the G735 is a really impressive headset. Its lightweight design makes it a dream to wear. They are my most comfortable pair of headphones that I own – they really just disappear on you head. It has a really pleasing aesthetic that matches my setup to a T. They sound great as well – maybe my favorite sounding headset so far, but at the very least top 2 or 3 in my collection. They are the best sounding wireless headsets I have, by a good margin. I also appreciate the dual media source setup, so I can connect my phone and PC at the same time. I’ll never miss a message or notification on my phone, while I’m gaming with this setup. It works just as well when connected to my Xbox controller via and 3.5mm AUX cord.
