I am livid, I bought this computer on March 2nd came in March 3rd it was slow from the start , thought it was refurbished they assured me it wasn’t . Day 25 of use the mechanism that allows the computer to open and close locked up when I went to open the laptop it didn’t move but instead ripped out the bottom corner of the screen. Best Buy and Lenovo both told me they would charge me to fix it . The computer litterally came apart in my hands. This is my 2nd Lenovo and both broke within 30 days ( the other fell on my carpet from 2 ft off the ground on my couch) and snapped this one no drops , breaks just the gear locked up . So I’m out money and have to buy another new laptop.

Honestly this laptop would only be good for school, if you are looking to game then I suggest a 400-500 dollar laptop even if it takes longer to save up, This laptop has lasted me a while but the keys are starting to fall off and it's pretty slow for games. If you are looking for a school laptop then go for this but don't expect it to last forever

I was able to pick up this laptop for $169.99 and oh boy, what a deal. Sure, it is not the lates ryzen 9 or intel i7 and yes, it only has 4gb of ram and a dual core processor, but it runs everything so smooth and fast. The only con, with 128gb storage youll need an external hardrive.

I purchased this GeekSquad Certified laptop back in December for a Christmas gift for my nephew. I shop most electronics and appliances with BestBuy. I have also bought GeekSquad certified products before with no issue. This Lenovo Ideapad 1 is literally falling apart after 1.5 months of just opening and closing the screen. I am livid that BestBuy would stand behind a product that is this terribly made. Of course the return period is up and the damage is outside of being able to return it. I spoke to customer service online to see what could be done and was told that I could get it repaired for free because it was GeekSquad certified and still under factory warranty. I show up for the appointment and GeekSquad tells me that I will have to pay $400+ and ship it off for 4-6 weeks to get it repaired. I only paid $167 for the laptop to begin with and now you want me to pay $400 plus to and wait a month to get it back?? Not only is BestBuy selling crappy products they are also not willing to help customers with defective products after selling them. Customer Service has been no assistance. They keep sending me to the GeekSquad in store and telling me one thing via chat then another in person.

A decent basic laptop for browsing the internet. Dont care for Windows 11. To many Security features to turn off before the computer runs good. I do like the Big Screen, Great Resolution.

The laptop looks solidly built. The screen is wide enough and it has nice keyboard. However, it’s really slow when work on multiple tasks. This laptop is for complete beginners. The screen resolution is not impressive at all. I gave it a 4 star review because of the price.

Awesome little computer! I’m loving this computer, it’s lightweight, easy to carry around, it’s pretty fast & easy to use as my current work computer. I do wish this one had the fingerprint option for logging in, but doesn’t really change my review on it!

Despite multiple sites saying max memory is 8 gigs in slot + 4 gig soldered it is indeed not correct. Upon receipt ive added a 1tb mnve drive and installed a 16 gig ddr4 module. Control panel shows 17.9 gigs useable. Buy this on sale. Why pay more for them to add storage/ram

Well everything was going good until 3 weeks after the purchase. I don't know if it's because of the heat of the screen that melted the adhesive that holds the frame together, but when you fold and unfold this laptop, the frame is basically crumbling and separating from the screen. And from the looks of it there's basically nothing that I can do. Unfortunately Best Buy only gives you two weeks to make a return or exchange, when every other store on the planet either gives 30 days to 90 days! So of course it started to fall apart 3 weeks after the purchase and it was too late for me to return or exchange! Screen is super basic and you have to place it in a certain position to even be able to see the screen without some sort of glare, but for everyday tasks like surfing the web and paying bills and things of that nature it work fine for the price. Now is the frame had held up it wouldn't have been that bad!
