Easy to Use, Easy to Clean Indoor Grilling & More
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are not cooks at our house. We have no children and we have always worked jobs that had off-shift and long hours. Who had time to cook? Now that my husband has retired, he attempts to make meals, but if they cannot be made on the outside BBQ grill, then they probably won't get done. It is getting colder outside and he is not having fun grilling in the cold. On top of that, he complains that the BBQ grill is messy and a real pain to clean. So, when I saw that Ninja, a brand whose products we have used and really admire, put out a smoke-free indoor grill, we just had to check it out. Enter into our lives the Ninja - Foodi 6-in-1 Countertop Indoor Grill with a 4-quart Air Fryer, that can also roast, bake, broil, and dehydrate. Most of these features are above our current experience level, but I think it is better to start off with what you know and then move to a higher level of cooking competence. Out of the box, we found the Foodi to be solidly built and thoughtfully designed. It came with a grilling grate, a 4-quart cooking pot, and a crisper basket for air frying. All of these items are substantial in weight and durability and all are coated with an extremely smooth ceramic coating that allows for easy cleaning. The front of the Foodi unit has clear, easy to read, logically laid-out touch button controls with a top center digital readout that informs you of the time entered to cook, when the unit is in pre-heat mode, the temperature when reached, when to insert the food to be cooked, when to flip the food, and when the cooking cycle has completed. It could not be easier for low experienced cooks like my husband and me. As instructed, and as we would normally do, in warm, soapy water, we washed the grate, the pot and the crisper basket, along with the installed stainless steel mesh splash guard and the provided plastic cleaning brush. After drying everything, we started out simple and used the grilling function to make polish sausages. We consulted the recipe booklet and instruction booklet that were provided with the Foodi. It instructed us to cook the sausage on Low Grill for 10 minutes. Since the sausages were pre-cooked, we lowered that time to 8 minutes. We hit the Start button and the unit proceeded to pre-heat for about 5 minutes. The display shows a line of vertical bars that show Pre-heating is in process. Once the unit reached temperature, the display says Add Food. We inserted the sausages, closed the lid and the timer started its countdown on the display screen. Half-way through the 6 minutes, the unit stopped and Flip Food displayed on the screen. We opened the cover all the way and used rubberized tongs (so as not to chip or scratch the ceramic surface of the grill) to turn the sausages. We found the sausages to be cooking evenly and to have grill marks. We also found there to be no smoke. We closed the cover and the unit again began its countdown. When the countdown reaches 00:00, the unit displayed End, then went back to 00:00. We removed the sausages and gave them a try. They tasted just like they came from the outdoor BBQ Grill. We were impressed! Over the next couple of days, we tried hot dogs, Italian sausages and then moved up to cheeseburgers. You know, all those good for you foods... They were all delicious and well cooked. Clean-up was a breeze on most; but cheeseburgers are messier. A bit more drippings, but still not a chore to clean. The Ninja - Foodi 6-in-1 Countertop Indoor Grill has made it fun and easy to cook delicious meals. It was simple to use and simple to clean. It has given us the opportunity to expand our cooking skills without a lot of hard work. We would definitely recommend this to our family and friends!

Home Run, Ninja!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, whenever I see any new products from Ninja, my interest is automatically piqued. I own several of their appliances, and I’m happy with all of them. This Foodi Grill from Ninja is no exception. This appliance is an air fryer on steroids. It grills, air crisps, bakes, roasts and dehydrates food, all in one (sort of) compact device. The first thing I prepared was pork chops. The chops were boned, center cut and one inch thick, so I had to improvise the cooking times as there were no exact examples on the enclosed Cheat Sheet (I understand those cooking times are merely estimates). Per the instructions, I coated them with one of the suggested cooking oils before seasoning them. After the automated pre-heating period (8-10 minutes), I placed my chops on the grill to that welcome sizzling sound, followed by the enticing aroma of my food beginning to cook. The digital display on the front of the grill is easy to read and use. Halfway through the cooking period, a timer beeped, alerting me to flip my pork chops. Even though they were only half done, they looked amazing! I must say, even though I adhered to the suggested cooking temperature, there was quite a bit of smoke in my kitchen. Since I used the air fryer on top of my ceramic stove, I turned on my cooking fan above the stove, but there was still a thin layer of smoke throughout the kitchen. I didn’t have this issue with any of my other air fryers. My chops looked beautiful! The grill marks are a nice touch. After letting the chops sit for a few minutes, I cut one of them open and it was very juicy and tender. The instructions were very good. They were concise, yet provided all pertinent information. Quick start giudes are always welcome. Cleanup was very easy; the instructions indicated the interior components are dishwasher safe, but as soon as I ran the grill and cooking pot under hot water, the grease melted right away, so I just hand washed everything. It only took a few minutes of easy labor . The included recipe booklet is actually useful. Most everything look easy to make, and they looked delicious! There are even recipes for Rubs, Sauces, and Marinades that are easy to make. I added my own flair to their rub, and it was outstanding. This Foodi Grill is a little larger than I anticipated, and while it’s not enormous, it will consume a good amount of counter/cabinet space. This device is my new go to cooking appliance. It’s easy to use and it produces well cooked food. It actually justifies its high price point. I’m making pizza in it next! Highly recommended!

An amazing all in one countertop cooker!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja Foodi 6-in-1 is a fabulous device that will have you searching for reasons to ever use the stove again. Ease of use: 10/10. The Foodi is extremely versatile and easy to use. With the ability to handle everything from vegetables to steak and even a medium sized roast. Flexibility: 10/10. Dehydrator, Bake, Broil, Roast and Air Fry… the Ninja Foodi tackles it all. I’ve cooked steaks, burgers, mixed vegetables, pork chops and 4 chicken breasts with the foodi. Zero issues and perfect texture each time. Value: 10/10, for the price you won’t find much else available that has the quality and options made available with the Ninja Foodi 6-in-1. Build Quality: 10/10, everything is well made and the cooking trays/ equipment clean with ease. I have yet to see the Foodi make a mess. I’ve air fried with minimal cleanup outside of the Foodi. Everything is well kept in the cooker and off the countertops. Pre heating; this should be done without the food in the Foodi. Pre heat time vary by temperature need but doesn’t take very long at all.

Ninja 6-In-1 Grill! I Finally Know What Love Is!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received my Ninja Foodi 6-in-1 Indoor Grill ~ just in time for cold Wisconsin indoor cooking! Included in the box is the Foodi Grill, Splatter Shield, Removable Cooking Pot, Grill Grate, Crisper Basket and a Cleaning Brush with scraper tip. You also get a recipe book, Quick Start Guide and an Owner's Guide. The great thing about this grill is you can Grill, Air Fry, Roast, Bake or Dehydrate and it's seriously smokeless! I had virtually NONE when I tested out the various foods tonight. I started out by grilling up some fresh, mild Italian sausages on Low. I did preheat the grill for about 8 minutes per the instructions. When it is preheating you'll see from 1 to 8 vertical blinking lines on the front panel. When it stops blinking and all 8 lines are showing, you're ready to start cooking. When you set the cook time and shut the lid it automatically goes into the Preheat mode first. Once done preheating you'll see ADD FOOD on the display, so lift lid, add your food, press START and it begins counting down. At any rate my 6 sausages turned out perfect with just enough brown on the outside and fully cooked, yet juicy on the inside. Impressed already! Ninja does not recommend using olive oil but you can use canola (which I use in spray form) coconut, avocado, vegetable or grapeseed oil. I found the included "Let's Get Grilling" Cheat Sheet really helps out with describing how to cook properly too. Next I tried one frozen Bubba Burger and I set it on Medium for about 14 minutes. Although it says you don't have to flip, I did and got great searing marks on both sides of the meat. It turned out well done, yet moist on the inside, just as I like it. Ninja delivered flawlessly! Once I had tested the single burger I decided to make the 2 remaining burgers and this time I set it to Low - 400 degrees for 18 minutes. Now these are big, thick burgers so you need a little longer time to cook so I figured slower the better. I did flip them each twice and once again they turned out absolutely perfect! No pink inside but not overcooked on the outside or inside. I decided to clean everything up before I started my next batch of food. VERY easy to do so! I washed the splatter shield too, although it probably didn't need it at that point. Still, I was protecting myself from a smokey kitchen and it worked. The little cleaning brush came in handy on the grill grate. By the way these are dishwasher safe as well, although tonight I washed by hand. I had 13 large, frozen and breaded butterfly shrimp to test next. I sprayed the Crisper Basket with Canola oil and placed them evenly inside. I started out with 400 degrees for 10 minutes but knew I had to keep a good eye out so they didn't overcook. After the Ninja preheated again I was ready to watch. When you lift the lid up it does stop the timer. It seemed to me the shrimp were cooking a bit too fast so I lowered the temp to 350 degrees and I think I could have cooked about 8 minutes on the 400 degree setting instead of 10. However they all turned out great, breading was cooked perfectly (not doughy inside) throughout and they were enjoyable to eat. I do want to note one important thing. There is a bump that sticks out in the back of the unit and when you place the cooking pot in, which must be inside all the time when using, you HAVE to be sure you line up the cut out notches on the pot, grill and crisper basket so they drop in easily. If you don't, you'll have a real difficult time removing them when you realize they are in the wrong way. Just a head's up on that and this information is also in the Owner's Guide. You do want to use plastic utensils to cook with as well. I look forward to cooking many more foods in my Ninja Foodi Grill! Still learning here but all in all I found this to be an absolute dream to use for indoor grilling, air frying and I am sure the rest will be fantastic as well! If you are in the market for an indoor, smokeless grill do not hesitate to purchase this Ninja! I love mine!

Super Versatile Cooking Appliance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second air fryer that I have gotten and this one is much more versatile. This Ninja has a 4 quart capacity so it is a little larger than our previous one. The obvious advantage to that is you can cook more food at once, instead of running it two to three times. Opening up the box, there are a few components. The main pot, a crisper air fryer basket, a grill grate, and a brush to help with the cleaning, along with some manuals and instructions. All the things that go inside the air fryer have non-stick surfaces and are very easy to clean. They are also dishwasher safe. Clean-up was fast as anything stuck on rinses off with a little spray of water. The controls are straight-forward to use. After powering it on, select the type of cooking you plan to do (Bake, Dehydrate, Grill, Broil, Air Fry, or Roast), the temperature, and how long to cook it for. What is a little different from my previous air fryer is that this one says to preheat before adding the food. I didn't realize that was required the first time I tried it and just added the food in. The only problem with doing that is the timer doesn't start until it preheats and then you open and close the lid. I was watching it the whole time so it wasn't a big deal, but something to keep in mind. Once it beeped that it was preheated, I opened and closed the lid and food still turned out perfect. From then on, I have been preheating before adding the food. I've wanted to try using the dehydrator, but haven't had the chance yet. The Grill option worked well. I cooked a couple of steaks and other than finding the right timing to get to your right doneness level, it is pretty easy to use. Overall, I really like this air fryer and plan to use it frequently (reheated pizza is so much better with an air fryer). I highly recommend this Ninja.

Another Ninja Home Run!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After spending about 4 days with this product, I can honestly say that I will be using this product for a very long time. The build quality is rock solid - I love the stainless steel finish on the top, and the plastic body feels substantial, with no cheap rattling sounds. All of the accessories in the box feel high quality, and their included quick start guide and recipe book are super useful. Grilling The grill function works beautifully! My partner and I created some bacon jalapeno chicken on the grill, and the meat was super flavorful (photo attached). Keep in mind that we weren't even using fresh chicken, the chicken was frozen and then thawed in the fridge before grilling. So you don't need to go for top-tier cuts of meat to get a quality grilling experience. Usually I have to use a sous vide before grilling outside to get this level of flavor. Great stuff! Starting up the grill function is super easy as well. I simply put in the temperature I want the meat to cook at, the Ninja Foodi pre-heats the grill, and I'm ready to grill within minutes. Air Frying To test out the air fryer, we went down two paths. The first path was grabbing some frozen egg rolls and air frying them per the instructions on the box (photo attached). Surprisingly, I was very impressed by this compared to my Bella Pro Series air fryer. To put it in plain terms, the subtle browning and evenness of the heat distribution was truly unexpected. This isn't to say that the Bella is a poor performer, but it never did this good of a job with even heat distribution, and that's what separates the top-tier air fryers from the rest! The second path we tried was created some bacon-wrapped brussel sprouts and wow - these turned out amazing!! The air fried bacon infused the brussel sprouts with the perfect level of savory flavor, and it was sublime - I highly recommend others to try this basic recipe if they haven't already. (Photo attached, paired with the chicken dish) The air frying function is exactly like the grill function in terms of how you get started. Pre-heat the Ninja Foodi to the temperature you want, load up your food, set the timer, and let the magic happen. What's I really liked was how FAST the pre-heating process was. When I set the Ninja Foodi to pre-heat the air fryer to 400F degrees, I waited only 4 minutes or less. I didn't even leave the kitchen! Dehydrating The dehydrate function is one I plan to explore more in the future - specifically with venison. For the sake of testing though, I took 2 apples (ambrosia variety for the sweet flavor), cut them up, and soaked them in lemon juice and cinnamon overnight. In the morning, I took out the apples, set the Ninja Foodi's temperature to 145F, and let them dehydrate for 7 hours. The apple chips turned out perfect! I added another dash of cinnamon on top, and these made a wonderful snack for movie night with my partner. Overall, this Foodi is a champ! I see myself using this all the time, especially for grilling as the cold winter months are right around the corner. I'm excited to see how this machine performs with baking and roasting, but I'm quite happy with what I've experienced so far. With just one kitchen tool, it's practical and simple to create a variety of dishes and meals, and I'll be using this machine to prepare many meals going forward.

A great, versatile many-in-one appliance.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ninja makes a variety of appliances and over time have developed some really neat items. The Ninja Foodi 6-in-1 is a new indoor grill, but it also can air fry, bake, roast, and dehydrate food, in a near-smokeless countertop device. It’s not tiny at 11 inches tall by 14 inches wide and 17 inches long (approx), but you wind up saving counterspace since it does so many things and replaces several separate appliances. It looks nice and feels well built, too. The kit includes the base unit, a grilling plate, cooking pot, crisper basket for air frying, recipe booklet, splatter shield (screen), and cleaning brush. The Foodi uses 500 degree “cyclonic air” that whirls around your food while inside, giving an even cooking, more quickly than some traditional methods, and nearly eliminates the need to flip many foods over since the hot air flows around it, with only a few exceptions (steaks, etc). You don’t even have to defrost most items and can just put them inside frozen, and it can pop-out char-grilled meats in as little as 25 minutes or less (depending on how well done you like your food). You can cook at low, medium, high, and max settings, and control temp and cook time. It did our Steaks and Chicken faster than traditional methods. We splurged and grilled a couple of Filet Mignons, and the Foodi did an excellent job making them just right (our way – a little pink inside but semi-well on the outside). The steaks were not dry at all and even had grill marks from the grill on them. From thawed they cooked perfectly at around 16 minutes with one flip in-between. The same with a couple of Chicken breasts, only less time is needed with those. An included 4 quart crisper basket let us air fry some Mozzarella sticks and Chicken planks using almost zero oil. Tip: Get a spray bottle meant for oils so you can spray just a very small amount on the air fry foods perfectly evenly, and they come out really well and with a lot less fat (rather than just drizzling oil on them). At some point I want to dehydrate some meats for jerky, but this process does take longer. It’s pretty straightforward though, and based on the results so far, should come out just as good as everything else. Cleaning is easy enough. While you can put the grill plate, pan, and basket in the dishwasher, we just did it by hand and it worked fine. Of note, the Ninja does use just over 1700 watts of power when cranked up. Our older house tripped a circuit when we first tried it on one outlet, but using another that could handle more, we were then able to work around that. Just something to be aware of if you have an older home with older electrical boxes. The power cord is also only 34 inches and I’m a lover of longer cords, so it would have been nice to have seen a longer one on this – but yeah, I’m being nitpicky on that. The “smoke free” system also did basically a good job, though after doing a couple of things in a row with it, there was a very LITTLE bit of smoke – nothing the vent fan above the stove couldn’t handle, though. I really like the Ninja Foodi 6-in-1. It covers a lot of territory and does it well. I can see a lot of future meals being made on this! Recommended, and the 5 stars is that for the price, you do get a lot and it does it well.

A great kitchen appliance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for a quick and easy way to cook your food, then an indoor grill is the way to go. Indoor grills are convenient because they can be used in any weather. I've been a fan of Ninja Foodi appliances for while now and my fiance and I use our 11-in-1 Foodi just about every day -- with the Air Fryer being the most-used function. While this appliance has fewer cooking functions, it has already proven to be more useful to us -- proving that less is more. The cooking function that really stuck out on this appliance was the grill. I love steak and baked potatoes, but dread the winter months because there isn't a good option for grilling indoors. I was instantly impressed with how easy it was to cook a steak on the Foodi Grill. For starters, the appliance is already assembled. Depending on the function you might have to swap out the cooking crisper or the grill pan but other than that, the unit is ready to use out of the box. I knew that I wanted to cook a steak so I inserted the grill pan and set the Foodi to the high setting for grilling. There is a very easy-to-understand quick start guide included that outlines the settings to use with different foods as well as the timing to use. After setting the cooking function, temperature rating, and time, I pressed the start button. The preheat light turned on and little tick marks started appearing on the display. When preheating was done, the Foodi beeped and the display turned to the countdown clock for the food. I put the steak in the grill and closed the lid. Halfway through cooking the steak, the grill beeped again and the display read, "Flip Food." I opened the lid and flipped the steak and then let it finish cooking. After the steak was done cooking, I let it rest for a few minutes before cutting into it. I was impressed to find the steak was a perfect medium-well with a perfect line of pink in the middle. The steak was easy to cut, juicy, and it tasted great. I'm very excited to have this appliance in our kitchen. It's going to make cooking steaks much easier throughout the year.

Great Grill and AirFryer Combo
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are trying to cook and eat healthier, this is the kitchen gadget for you! It grills, air crisps, bake/roasts and dehydrates food. Included in the box is the Ninja Foodi Grill, a removable cooking pot, a grill grate, a crisper basket, a splatter shield, and a cleaning brush. I first used the Air Crisper to air fry several chicken pieces. One of the great things about the Ninja Foodi is that you can use a small amount of oil to help get the crunchy outer coating of fried chicken. I first selected the air crisp, then 375 degrees and then 25 minutes. While it was preheating, I coated my raw chicken pieces with seasoned flour. I then sprayed the chicken pieces with canola oil spray. A high heat oil or oil spray must be used or there will be smoke and fumes. After 13 minutes I flipped the chicken pieces and gave it an additional spray with the oil. Although air fryer chicken will never truly taste like the real thing, this is really close. Next I grilled hamburgers. I selected the grill setting and set the timer for 12 minutes. I like my burgers well done. These came out nice and juicy, not dry at all. I have not used the dehydration option yet. Highly recommend!

Versatile and powerful grill, air fryer, & baker.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found the Ninja 6-in-1 to be extremely versatile. It comes with its own recipe book and quick start guide so I decided to tackle the hardest recipe in my opinion first. Pizza. Could it possibly be able to do it? Yes, it could. Simply preheat to max and drop your crust inside for 4 minutes, remove and add toppings and finish cooking. Next I tried Thai stir fry and put all the vegetables on the grill. Turned out great! Even bread was possible. Air frying and broiling are where it shines. Due to its small size and wattage it can preheat and be ready to go far faster than a traditional oven. If one has zero access to a traditional kitchen you can use the ninja 6-in-1 to get things done. One pet peeve I noted was the lack of a bake attachment or pizza pan as the ones included are textured for grilling and wicking away greases. This would be a great device for anyplace with electrical but without a kitchen. RVing, camping with electrical hookup, outdoor festivals, boating etc. and its air frying abilities definitely complement an existing one.

Best Grill ever!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing gets better than grilling on the kitchen countertop! Now don't wait for Spring or Summer to grill, this Ninja 6-in-1 indoor grill does everything required for day-to-day cooking. The good part is that it's Smoke Control System keeps the smoke in check and doesn't feel like you are grilling inside the home. Unlike the big grills that stay in your backyard, this one is pretty simple & easy to clean. It grills evenly using cyclonic grilling technology and makes the food extra delicious. It can grill, air-crisp, roast, bake, broil & dehydrate for various temperature settings. The size is just right for a small family and when you need to have a quick lunch or snack. I am very happy with this and have replaced my microwave oven. I have tried many things like fries, chicken breasts, hot dogs etc this thing makes everything better & quicker than other grills. The heat is powerful and cooks food very quickly. All in all, lthis is the perfect choice of every grill lover because of its size and ease of use. I am hoping this will last for many years to come. Highly recommend.

Jack of all trades and master of - ALL!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Jack of all trades and master of - ALL! All in one devices always give me pause. How can a device truly be good at so many different things. I have no doubt been jaded by past experiences with sub-par products claiming to do it all. Still, I have come to know and love the Ninja brand so I wanted to give the Ninja Foodi 6-1 a fair shot - and I am so glad I did. First off, I have owned many air fryers, countertop ovens, indoor grills, and similar products over the years. From the moment I took it out of the box, I was impressed with the Ninja Foodi's solid build. There is nothing cheap or flimsy at all about it. Every piece is very well made. I tried out the grill feature first. I was able to grill chicken breast that I had tossed in some seasoning with ease. It advised me when it was time to flip and it came out with not only golden brown coloration, but actual grill lines and small blackened edges. I love the blackened edges, so this was exactly what I was looking for! I also used the grill function for hand made burger patties. These babies came out with a great coloration and perfect consistency (browned and solid on the outside but juicy inside. The way they cooked actually retained the heat inside of the burgers for quite a while as well. The burgers were a bit greasy and did cause some grease to collect in the bottom of the pan which is under the basket. The cleanup was a breeze! Just squirt some detergent on the parts and give them a quick rinse and you are good to go. Interestingly a few weeks ago my mother in law asked me what the best air fryer on the market was so she could get one for her new house. I told her that even though I had spent hundreds of dollars on different brands, they all function similarly and spending a lot would not be necessary unless you want the extra tools, bells, and whistles that come with some. Well, here I am to retract that statement. I am sold on the air frying capability of the Ninja Foodi 6-in-1. I love that there is a splatter screen in the top that not only keeps stuff from getting sprayed on the burner, but also prevents food from flying up and sticking to the burner. This may sound odd, but I actually had many different things fly up and stick to the burning element and catch fire in my previous air fryer. This is far safer!! The temperatures that this unit goes to far exceed the regular ones. The max temp of my other air fryers has been 390 degrees. I love being able to broil, air fry, bake, etc at 400-500 degrees if I want. This puts that amazing char grill on items in no time flat! The only con that I could find (And this is just a nit picky thing) is that I wish the baskets and grill could somehow fit inside simultaneously to store between cooking sessions. I have also played around with the other functions like bake and broil - talk about perfectly cooped creme brulee tops! All along I Am still amazed this is a multi tasking appliance. This will save me many hot summer days when I don't feel like slaving over the grill and many cold winters when I really don't want to freeze while grilling. And it will also be my go to air fryer from now on. We are a family of 4 now that my son left for the Army. This is the perfect size without taking up too much space. The bottom line is that I am super picky, and the Ninja Foodie 6-in-1 has earned a permanent residence in my valuable and limited countertop space.

Always a Good Buy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had a Ninja Foodi Pro Grill, model AG400, for over two years now. I use it at least every other day. While it does have a grill plate, I only use that for things like hamburgers or hot dogs. Everything else, I use the air fryer feature. I thought I’d try out the Model EG201 to see if anything had changed between the old and new. For one thing, the EG201 it a lot more attractive, with the chrome hood and front trim. The outside appears to have a larger footprint than the AG400. However, the parts inside are the same size and style. The features are mainly the same, except the EG201 has the Broil feature. The EG201 does not come with a thermometer. If that is important to you, the instructions indicate that you can add one, but when I went to Ninja’s web site to check for accessories, a blank page appears when I search for model EG201. Using model number AG400 will pull up a series of accessories, including a temperature probe. I’ve used it several times since receiving it. In the photo attached, I have petite sirloin steak with McCormick Montreal Seasoning (yes, my family likes steak well done). No oil or butter was used. I had no issue with the food sticking to the grid. To me, it seems like the newer model did a better job, but I cannot prove that. The food just seems to come out better. The Indoor Grill Pot and the Indoor Grill Basket are both dishwasher safe, as is the Indoor Grill Shield. This makes for easy cleanup. I will always recommend this unit. It will cook food enough for 2-4 people. If you have a larger family or entertain a lot, you may want to look at the XL version.

Almost There
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja - Foodi 6-in-1 Countertop Indoor Grill with 4-quart Air-fryer Model EG 201 is almost there, but not quite. The unit is very attractive in stainless steel, which will match most of today's kitchen appliances This model comes well-packed with many accessories include:the ceramic-coated drop in grill grate, the air fryer ceramic-coated crisper basket, the ceramic-coated cooking pan, the splatter guard, a cleaning brush with tips that fit in the grooves, and a basket that sits within the well. Just as important, there is a full size Owner's Manual, a Quick Start Guide, and a Recipe book. This absolutely does have a counter top profile-it easily fits below your upper cabinets and not overtake the depth of those counter tops either. I love the ease of clean up with ceramic-coated pans. I also agree that there is no smoke or foul odor when cooking that does occur when cooking on your stove, thereby affirming that their engineering of air intake, air outflow, and grease accommodation must be done correctly. However, in order not to have those smoke and smell issues, the manufacturer recommends only the use of the following oil types-canola, avocado, vegetable, grapeseed, refined coconut and not use olive oil, butter, or margarine. Additionally, another thing that must be done to limit smoke and smell is to maintain the cleanliness of the splatter shield that attaches to the top of the unit's hood. In all function applications, it is definitely stated to preheat the unit and there is a preheat button that has a pre-programmed amount of time. Then after pre-heating is done add the food and it will cook for a pre-programmed amount of time at a pre-programmed temperature unless you manually adjust either of these factors. If you use this machine to successively cook multiple batches within the same function or use multiple consecutive times with different functions, it is recommended to wipe down the splatter shield, clean out any grease or oil in the grease collector on the back, let the unit pre-heat again and then add food. I found the Quick Start Guide invaluable because it has all sort of tips and tricks, grill function explanations and how to's, and a grilling cheat sheet that literally gives you times and temps for room temp foods, as well as, guidelines for cooking either fresh or frozen food. While I am generally happy cooking with this model, there is one main reason that I gave this unit only 3 stars--it is because this unit does not have the ability to use a thermometer to cook your proteins to perfection based on how you want them based on internal temperature. There are models that have 2 thermometer ports so that technically you could cook steak and chicken or steak and fish, whatever you want at the same time and each of the proteins come out to perfection. I do not know which models have either one or two thermometer portals, but I would imagine that the increased price would be worth it. No matter what model you wind up with, remember to sign up for the warranty, you just never know.
