Shark Vacuum and Mop - An Excellent Product

The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Floor Cleaner is a very good machine and was very easy to set up. I downloaded the app to my cell phone and the connection to the robot was very easy. After the charge was complete I let it map out my kitchen, the dining room and the living room. Once it mapped an area you can save it and give it instructions to just clean the area selected. I love this feature because some rooms need swept more often than others. While it cleaned the kitchen I picked up the other areas. When the sweeping was done, I emptied the dirt compartment and then attached the mopping pad and reservoir. I put it back on the landing/charging mat and went to the app. It already knew it had the mopping pad attached and was ready to mop the kitchen floor. It was better on the hardwood floor than the tile floor but the tile floor was more soiled being it was the kitchen. The floor was barely damp when it finished and it didn’t have any streaks. Another plus! I would highly recommend this product.

This is probably my third or fourth floor robot and my second Shark robot--- and it is perfect for my needs. I live on a farm where there is always dust, dog hair and hay. We recently moved to a new, larger farm and built an apartment in a barn and have sealed, concrete floors (definitely smoother than a lot of tile!). This robot comes packed very securely, just like all Shark products. Be mindful when unboxing and retain all of the printed 'quick start' guides. My first step was setting up the charger and letting the robot fill its battery. While that is going on, download the Shark App to your phone and start getting familiar with it. You will need to add your robot to you Shark app. I already had the app on my phone, so I just added another robot. Once you are charged up, use the app to let the robot 'map' your house. This is really important. I recommend going around and picking up most things off the floor for the mapping (except furniture). That way, the robot knows where the walls and doors are! This can take a while and it's not vacuuming while it's doing this. Once mapped, send you robot on its way, either using the app or pushing the button on the top. the robot will begin vacuuming in parallell lines like a minesweeper. It can sense things are in the way and seldom bumps into them like the earlier robots. The volume of noise is pretty low and my dogs adapted to the machine in one day. They did not like my earlier ones that were much louder. If it starts running out of power, it will return to base to charge up. Once it's ready, it will resume the job if it is not finished. I like that the robot goes under furniture, can go over throw rugs without a burp and generally does its job without a worry. Occasionally, it will suck up something that gives it heartburn, like a q-tip, plastic wrapper or stick, which causes it to send a signal to the app on my phone. It wil vacuum up stray dog kibble and small bits like that. Like all Shark equipment, taking out dirt canisters, rollers or other parts is a breeze. I have used the mopping function a couple of times. This requires you put the mopping solution and pad on the machine, so it's not a daily thing. I have set it to run in the bathroom and the kitchen with mopping and it does a decent job without a lot of human input. So handy when you are in a hurry and don't have time for a proper mopping. I run my robot daily and empty the dust canister daily (outside is recommended if you have lots of fine dust). Note that this only has one 'flipper/sweeper' arm on it and that you will occasionally need to sweep or crevice tool vacuum the corners.... but I did watch is pull dog hair from six inches away, so it's getting most of the dust and hair! I also noticed that when I empty the canister, there is some dust on the outside of the robot which falls on its charging pad! (I guess it does not vacuum it's nest!). That is the only thing that is not absolutely perfect about this sweeper. You should get one today.

I’ve only had it for a day. So far, so good. Its bigger than my old Tikom whose motor died after two years. It took longer than expected for the vacuum to fully charge. It got it for the combo feature and the ability to map out rooms. The initial mapping was so quick i thought it hadn’t done the job so i redid it. But once it started vacuuming, it did a very thorough and excellent job. I like the inclusion of a sample mopping solution. It is very noisy, though. I thought something was wrong. The app is very basicand not necessary user friendly to set up. Some additional features I’d recommend is being able to locate the vacuum or follow its progress on the map.

This mop vacuum does great in our dance studio. Granted the floors are mostly open and free of furniture so it really is the ideal setup for a vacuum and mopping robot. The dust bin and water tank swapping is fairly easy, but i have found a few times the robot does not recognize the mopping tank is installed until you put the dust bin in and then swap back out with the water tank. Having a way to turn off the cliff sensors would be great as there are no stairs or high places in our studio, but i dont know of any robots that can do that yet. The mop heads are also fairly easy to replace, but they do get dirty pretty quick. I would like a slightly bigger water tank as it seems like the tank runs out just before finishing either studio floor. The best thing this robot does is that it rarely ever gets stuck. It will find its way out of almost any issue. I have had it for a few months now and have only needed to save it once.

The vacuum mapped the house fairly well and cleaned it using their matrix method which is an ordered back and forth vacuuming pattern that overlaps each pass with the next. Very efficient and thorough. I purchased this unit because of this. I owned a different model several years ago that had a random vacuuming pattern that would miss spots. I have not used all of the features yet which include vacuuming only a selected room or a spot clean mode that will clean a given spot in your home layout that you may need to vacuum due to a spill or? One feature I do like is that when the units battery is low it will return to the base to charge the battery back up, then once charged, will return to the spot it left off cleaning to complete the vacuuming. I wish the charge lasted longer to finish the job in one go, but at least it does complete the vacuuming as planned. I have not used the mopping function and do not plan to.

Powerful! Could not believe how much dust and crumbs were in container and I ran after using a different vacum. Mopping is fantastic. I was nervous about how much water woukd go on my wood floors but it was perfect. LOVE the room mapping and long lasting charge.

This thing is the best well worth the price. The mapping is spot on and being able to pick which room to clean is perfect. It is crazy how much this thing picks up especially if you have pets. Haven't tried the mop yet. My only minor complain is the battery life.

The truth is that I bought it with many doubts but in reality it does its clean job and the most curious thing is that it maps additionally after the battery is not so durable but after that it does its job normally every time you finish cleaning you have to keep the maintenance clean but functional

Overall we are very happy to have this since it has really helped keeping our house clean. The vacuum is easy to clean and maintain. It is very inexpensive for a 2-in-1 system. Positive: Really gets stuck and it can easily get over transitions that are about 1/4-in tall. Mapping is very good. It does a good job vacuuming and gets under beds and areas that normally never get touched. Navigation without having a mapped room is great. Negative: The app is a must without it functionality is limited. The app has a hard time with complex WiFi passwords. I used a DMZ WiFi instead of my primary because of this. The zones don't go small enough for tight spaces for me. Smallest it can go is 3.32 x 2.69 ft. This is an issue for a no-go zone for our dog water tray. No pet mess detection... We already had an issue. Small capacity. The pre-filter is hard to clean. I end up using an air compressor every couple of days. I would highly recommend going with the self emptying version instead. It is worth the extra money.

Overall, this vacuum does a good job. The app/software is sometimes buggy but customer service is responsive and the app is updated regularly. Mapping works fairly well, but the vacuum will sometimes get stuck on small bumps in the floor or furniture legs. Mopping works OK. It has trouble with carpet avoidance but you can just specify where to mop instead. I dislike how the canister is shaped because sometimes dirt/dog hair gets stuck in smaller crevasses that make it difficult to empty

The vacuum works well. It has a weird ticking that happens intermittently. It has to be taken apart and reassembled multiple times to eliminate it. There is no clear indication to the cause. It cleans well and the “mop” function works like a swiffer and does a good job.
