So pleased with this vacuum. Not heavy as thought it might be. Best features: the flexibility of the head in maneuvering, easily switches from carpet to rug setting with just a button click, hair is collected around a cone for easy cleaning, no vacuum bags needed. Easy to empty and rinse out the dust collector bin and washable filters. Superior cleaning. Easy to store feature.

This is a great little stick vac with powerful suction and a pain in the butt long cord! It is absolutely easy to operate and you will get the hang of it quicker than my dog chasing the rabbits in our yard! I have owned several of them because of my stick vacuum addiction of course

Worst vacuum ever average suction, tools not usable specially the tube because of the design doesn’t fit in corner not even under furniture that’s the worst part for me. Vacuum doesn’t stand up right not even leaning on the wall

I am in love, for real. I can’t imagine anyone not loving this stick vacuum after using it for just a few minutes. It does everything I would want for all my floors from cleaning my carpets, the tile floors in my bathrooms and my hardwood floors, even my area rug in the living room. Suction is great and it cleans the floors very well picking up larger and very small dirt. This is so lightweight, small and easy to maneuver. The filter is anti allergan/Hepa and this is important since some in my household have asthma and allergies so I’m always careful. The suction has been great for picking up dog hair and the all the messes the kids make. It comes with several tools, like the crevice and multipet tools. I love that it’s so easy to use and that you can detach it to use as a hand vac to also help clean furniture, the blinds, stairs and it can also reach the ceiling vents. Another reason I love this vacuum is the the cord long enough so that I don’t have to unplug and then plug it into each room I need to vacuum. This makes it very convenient. Emptying the dust cup is quick and easy but it is small so requires frequent emptying which I’m fine with. Another great feature is this can reach under the beds, bureaus and tv stand to get it all clean. I almost forgot to mention the odor neutrilizer, that’s a really interesting addition. It’s a good idea and you can put light or stronger as needed. I don’t have issues with that so I moved the dial to the lowest setting. The on/off setting, carpet and hardwood switch is at the handle of the vacuum within easy reach. The only small drawback is that while in the middle of vacuuming, if you need to stop for a second, you have to lay the vacuum down or lean it against something standing up. Because the top is heavier than the bottom, it won’t stay tall like it is. But it hasn’t really been an issue because it’s easy to solve. And I still love everything about it. But you can store this vacuum in self standing mode once you are done by detaching the hand vac and clipping it on the base so it’s easy to store in any small space. All in all, I highly recommend this and would get it again. My neighbor was needing a new vacuum because hers stopped working after a couple years. I let her try mine and just like I thought, she loved it and decided to buy the same one but she bought the red one.

I Was Skeptical At First... But It WON Me Over

TLDR: I have two dogs that wrestle all the time so I can go from having a nice clean carpet to it being trashed practically overnight (I wish I was kidding). I have a robot vacuum that goes on a schedule and can pick up the surface level stuff but isn’t able to deep clean anything. If I go over that same area right after it is done with this new vacuum, I get even more hair up (from the deep fibers) as the suction power is seriously impressive despite its lightweight design. If I forgo the robot vacuum and just use this, you can see nice clean lines (the first time going over it) as it picks up everything! Making me a huge fan as the performance is excellent. It’s also very lightweight and compact which allows me to reach places that normally don’t get cleaned. It’s an easy recommendation from me. PERFORMANCE: As mentioned previously the suction power is excellent and does an amazing job at cleaning. Add that to the lightweight design and you end your session with a lot less effort put in. Making it perfect for those who don’t have the most strength or an injury that makes vacuuming difficult. The only downside is the blade is a bit thin, so it takes a bit longer to clean large areas. Add that to a small bag and you empty on a regular basis. But despite that, it can easily be used as your primary vacuum. The cord is REALLY long which is nice. It comes with 3 attachments. One to pick up pet hair, an upholstery tool, and a crevice tool. It comes with something called Odor technology which I think has some stuff to neutralize odors along with cover them up with a scented smell. Which I’d classify as being reminiscent of Dove dish soap or laundry detergent. Leaving a nice clean smell while vacuuming which is unique. You can adjust how strong or mild it can be. I had it on the mild side and I along with my house mates were easily able to smell it. There are only two modes. One for hardwood/tile and another for carpet. There is no mild, medium, high suction. Just those two modes. Which at this price point seems strange to me. It does a wonderful job on both carpet and hardwood. Additionally, it did surprisingly well with throw rugs which is the thing I struggle with the most when vacuuming. The unit is relatively loud though. BUILD QUALITY/COMFORT: The entire device feels solid and well put together. Attachments attach and detach with nice clicks. Everything moves smoothy. The light on the front of the device is nice to illuminate things. I also like how if the roller is clogged that light will go red making it very noticeable that something is wrong. When that happens, the roller will also stop moving which is a nice safety feature. The bag is small but works well. It easily detaches and attaches to the device. It is easy to clean. Opening the bag isn’t the smoothest experience. As the rubber seal is so good to prevent leakage that it kind of jerks once it releases, but not to the point I dropped any debris. Personally, I’ll take that over it leaking. I also really like that it seems to auto separate hair and dust/debris. Where the hair will surround the primary cone forming a nice compact clump which makes it easy to dump out where the dust/debris will be in the other portion of the bag instead of mixing it all together. The handle is comfortable but at the same time not as the device isn’t super well balanced leading to not as good of control. If I’m not constantly going in a straight line my hand can fatigue a bit as it feels like I’m fighting the device. Which is exacerbated when on the carpet pile setting, as the suction is so strong, and the vacuum so light, that it kind of pulls you along so you are constantly fighting it. So, having better balancing could be something they improve on. As I have the same issue with my larger Shark. CONS: Some dedicated cons. It does not stand up by itself, so you need to lean it against something or mount it… or so I thought until I realized it has a “handle storage hook” to attach to the base which I completely missed. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of the color. I worry about the cord longevity as it sticks out at an awkward angle without a lot of reinforcement and makes me think it is the greatest point of future failure. As mentioned above, only two modes (wood/tile and carpet), bag is small and doesn’t open perfectly smoothly, handle could be more comfortable, due to suction power it pulls you along which can be fatiguing, overall balance could be improved. CONCLUSION: I love my previous Shark vacuum and the theme continues here as the performance is unmatched (which to me is the most important part) compared to any other vacuum I’ve tried outside of the larger full-size Shark. But this is so much easier to navigate and use. It also comes with a lightweight compact design with plenty of attachments allowing me to clean hard to reach places with ease which the full size just can’t compete with. My stairs and underneath a plethora of furniture has never been cleaner. Cordless can be nice but you take a serious hit in suction power. With the cord here being so long you kind of get the best of both worlds.

The Most Powerful, Versatile Corded Vacuum Stick

There are a lot of features to like about this Shark Stratos corded Stick Vacuum. It has active “Duo Clean Powerfins” technology that makes vacuuming easier because of its lightweight power and versatility. First up, I cleaned a high traffic area rug in the house with my own vacuum. I thought it looked good and clean. But then I vacuumed the same rug with the Shark Stratos corded stick vacuum. I filled up the entire Dust Tray. I couldn’t believe how much cleaner the Shark Stratos corded stick was at removing dirt and debris than the vacuum I own! Here is what I liked about the Shark Stratos corded stick vacuum: • The Shark Stratos will not stand up on its own. Negative right? NO! There is a “Storage Mode” in which the handheld motor detaches from the top to latch on to the front of the stick toward the bottom. Now it won’t fall over, if fits better in tight places and can be put back together easily. This is a great feature for a powerful stick vacuum! • I really like the lightweight balanced feel of this Shark Stratos corded stick. I am glad it is a little less conventional than most vacuums. I think one of the best parts of the Shark Stratos corded stick is the fact, its corded. That is where all that power comes from to clean thoroughly your entire house. So, I went for it and vacuumed the entire house. You can tell the Shark Stratos corded stick vacuum was very well thought out. This is noticeable from the first time you use it. • It is by far the most powerful corded stick vacuum I have ever used. The suction from the vacuum literally felt like the Shark Stratos corded stick was propelling me forward. It was very easy to move around carpet or hardwood flooring and slim enough to go underneath couches, chairs or tables. There are two buttons infront of your thumb; one button that powers on the Shark Stratos corded stick and one button (tap twice) to choose between hardwood flooring or carpet/rugs. Switching back and forth was no problem for the Shark Stratos corded stick. It handled both floor types (hardwood and carpet) very well using its DuoClean Powerfins technology for a 21st century type of clean. The DuoClean PowerFins really get into carpet (tall, medium and low) almost restoring the knap! Hardwood floors are thoroughly cleaned from the aggressive power of the motor. The system works really well and any hair that is picked up by the rollers. The strangled hair on the rollers move to the middle where you can cut if off! There is a Pet Hair Power Pro attachment that works great on getting rid of pet (cat) hair left on furniture. Worth noting, is the odor technology filter built into the vacuum that puts an array of nice smelling fragrance in the air. • I love that the fact that the Shark Stratos corded stick is only 8lbs! It is so easily moved around; it is not a chore. An extra-long 30’, yes 30’ cord allows you to go about anywhere. When I was vacuuming, I rarely had to unplug it due to its length. I really love the LED lights attached to the front of the vacuum. It was really easy to see and clean up messes. The cleaning width of the Shark Stratos corded stick is right around “8.25 inches.” It is the right size for big rooms and small spaces. I did several rugs and although the Dust Tray was full each time (it picked up the dust, dirt), the width was very good in my opinion. • There are also four attachments: Hair Pro Self-Cleaning Pet Power Brush, Crevice tool, Upholstery Tool and clip on storage clip. The storage clip just snaps around the stick part of the vacuum. It will hold two tools. The top of the clip holds a tool while the bottom on of the clip will hold another tool by pushing it up into the storage clip. You have to remove the motor with dust tray by unlocking from the stick. Then you can attach the “Pet Power Brush.” A moving power brush cleans up the entire cat and dog hair on the chairs, couches, and even stairs. The power brush is very strong for its size. I decided to use it on the stairs. Wow! I didn’t realize I had that much dust, dirt and debris. The Crevice tool is plugged in the way the “Pet Power Brush” was. Once attached, I cleaned the chairs and couch, and again, I was amazed how much dirt and dust I was able to pick up. The Upholstrey tool does do well to clean lint or pet hair when a less aggressive approach is needed. I have light colored couch and chairs. I did not have to be as “rough” with the surface to get it clean and it preserved the cloth. • Included in the Shartk Stratos corded stick is a HEPA filter that traps “99.9%” of dust or debris inside the vacuum. In this manner, the dirt sucked up won’t get out. There is also a technology that cleans the air as you vacuum. The “Odor Neutralizer” placed on the base of the “Powerfins” will make your vacuum smell great when using it. I thought this was pleasant and a great addition to the long list of features on the Shark Stratos corded stick vacuum. • This feature is probably the best because of its versatility. The motor with Dust Tray is simple unhook and different tools can be attached. For instance, the “Pet Power Brush” attaches at the end for jobs that require more of a handle vacuum rather than the big stick vacuum. The stick can also come completely out the dual power motor. Then, you can attach the Crevice tool at the and with the help of with motor Dust Tray and reach new heights of clean. This is great for drapes or window treatments. They will be clean quickly by the Shark Stratos corded stick. Here is What I think Could be Improved: • I had a love/hate relationship with the extra long cord. 30’ is a great length, but the issue I ran into was the cord would often get tangled with itself. I was constantly having to hand loosened the tangled cord when moving around vacuuming. But I loved the length at the same time. Nothing is perfect of course, with the great length, but the cord would get tangled up a bit too often. • The Dust Tray could have been bigger (0.79 Quarts as it stands). After vacuuming a rug or a room (almost a room), it had to be emptied. It is not hard to empty but it’s tedious. A bigger Dust Tray would have been a nice after thought. After several cleaning with the Shark Stratos corded stick vacuum, I am impressed with its power, cleaning versatility and balanced weight. The “Duo Clean Powerfins” work in concert with the rest of the Shark Stratos corded stick to up your cleaning experience. Shark has long been a great brand with stick vacuums. I really like what they have done with the new Stratos corded stick vacuum.

I purchased this based on the picture of the woman cleaning the stairs with what appears to be a brush tool. The problem is that the unit does not come with any sort of attachment like this. Therefore, I cannot use it on wood stairs as the other tools scratch. I called Shark to see if they sell an attachment and they had no idea. I am just returning it.

I decided to get the corded version of Shark - Stratos Corded Stick Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins HairPro, Self-Cleaning Brushroll, Odor Neutralizer Technology - Navy instead of the battery powered one. I've had some bad luck with battery powered vacuums in recent history, so going corded you know what you're getting for the most part. This stick vacuum is fairly light weight and easy to use. It is very easy to maneuver around things and under things. We use this mainly in our basement for combination of hard and carpeted floors and so far it's done a great job. For a larger space you might want to use this more as a complimentary vacuum to your larger one. The canister is fairly small and it will fill faster than a full size vacuum, obviously. Not much to complain about with this vacuum. Probably my one gripe is it won't stand up when full size. Or you can break it down into the hand vac detached and it's easier to store. You can use this with the included attachments and keep a couple of them handy on the vaccum itself. The crevice tool I find especially handy for getting in between couch cushions. So overall, great little vacuum with many uses.

This corded vacuum has impressed my thus far. I opened the box, assembled in minutes and was off vacuuming my home in less than 5 minutes. The quality of this item is next to none, it is light weight, yet very sturdy and build strong. The main reasons on why I enjoy this vacuum is that it is filterless and bagless. Which means there is less maintenance for me to deal with when cleaning my home. There is also an oder eliminator cartridge that, when used keeps my home smelling nice and clean, this may be something that is needed to replace periodically too. Previous bagless vacuums I have used were quite clunky to empty, this one is different. The dust container is built like a cartridge, rather than a part of the vacuum which easily clicks in and out to empty with ease. The handle is build strong too with the cord being positioned in a way to reduce tension when winding up after cleaning. There is also plenty of cord for this unit too, which compared to other vacuums can easily come up short. When comparing this against other corded vacuums I think it is very comparable to one of the top players in this space. Which is why I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new vacuum that can easily pick up hair or dust with ease.

The Shark - Stratos Corded Stick Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins HairPro, Self-Cleaning Brushroll, Odor Netralizer Technology navy colred stick vacuum has really impressed me. I have several other vacuum cleaners one of which is another Shark that is not a stick vacuum. One of my other vacuums is a cordless stick vacuum which I really like. However, the cordless stick vacs can not compare to this corded model as far as power. My standard upright vacuum of choice is a Shark now and I have a cordless LG that I really like. With that being said this corded stick vacuum fills a void. It’s performance is excellent in hard floor mode and carpet mode and yes it has some serious suction and roller power for that matter with a powerful self propelled mode. Not only that it has outstanding manuverabilty to easily get into tight spaces just with a quick turn of the wrist. When it comes to the claims about pet hair this system really works and my dogs hair ends up wound around the sphere in the second chamber and I have never had a problem with the rollers getting clogged or anything like other vacuums. Other than capacity out of the five vacuums I have this one is definitely my favorite. Do not get me wrong it has about twice the capacity of my cordless stick vacuum but I still have to empty about twice as much as my regular Shark upright full sized vacumm. I really do not mind it though because emptying it is very easy. However, if you are doing a large 4000 SF or more of a house and you want to get done quicker or you do not like the extra weight of the debris chamber up top you may want to go with a regular upright. This corded upright is lighter than my cordless model though because the battery is up top. Overall, like I mentioned before each type of vacumm has it’s niche for use. If your carpet is not to dirty or you live in a smaller dwelling this corded vacuum will work well as your solitary choice. However, if you live in a larger home and need something with more capacity and can only afford one vacuum go with a regular upright. The cordless models are good for quick clean ups and touch ups and doing your vehicles on a whim. Ultimately it is best to have one of each. Overall, I found this Shark Corded Stick Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins the most enjoyable and impressive out of any vacuum I have owned to date. Shark is doind one heck of a job with their vacuums and this model is awesome. It has all of the necessary attachments like for upholstery and crevices as well as a small brush. The only downside is it does not come with a stand and only has one attachment that goes on the shaft of the vacuum which can only hold one accessory at a time. I really wish it came with a stand because it does not stand up by itself and I worry about it rolling out of a corner it is leaned up in if it is on tile or something and getting damaged. I may build a wood stand for it because I like it that much. For the price tag though I think they could have included one. Especially since they are claiming it to be the most powerful model yet. It is the most powerful vacuum I have ever used and I have the most expensive vacuums from every decade starting in the late 70’s through the 80’s and up to the famous ball vacuums. Lets just say this our ball vacuum got instantly retired after getting a full sized shark upright. I will can also say that this Shark stick vacuum is the most easily manuverable vacuum I have ever used. I will also say that I prefer this stick over the upright. However, as light as it is there may be some that prefer the self propelled full sized upright. I also need to mention that the odor neutralizer does not seem to do much. I cloud not smell it at all unless I take it out and smell it. That is with it turned just about all the way up. I do not really care about that but it seems to be an ineffective feature to me. Overall this is the most exciting and enjoyable vacuum I have ever used. I am looking forward to more Shark releases and really appreciate their drive for innovation. Before this vacuum I never got excited about vacuuming. I would definitely recommend it!

Nice compact, lightweight but very powerful vacuum. I was hesitant on how much I would like this vacuum, as we had a stick vacuum (same brand) years ago and although it worked fine, it’s suction wasn’t the best for pet hair. Well with time and new technology this vacuum has more than made up for my feelings towards stick vacuums. The canister/collection bin isn’t large but I’m able to finish a whole room and sometimes two before I feel the need to empty it. It’s a workhorse. The suction on this thing is wild. It is super strong and it has made me realize that even after having these rugs for some years, I now need rug tape or the vacuum will take the whole rug with it. Hahaha. We have dark wood floors and stairs, and the dust bunnies that reside here rent free like to hold their after hour meetings every night on our stairs. We also have a dog who on a regular isn’t much of a shedder, but he is currently going through a period where he is losing tons of hair quickly. It’s all over the place. We have a white couch and rug and with the upholstery attachment, it made short work of removing his black hairs. It is extremely satisfying. Even the dust bunnies are shaking. Our cumbersome Shark “Lift Away” vacuum could never. It is lightweight and easy to detach and carry the handle portion and attachments to clean above your head and areas such as corners, baseboards, and stairs. Which I hated doing with our cumbersome Shark LiftAway that you had to hold with two hands. This is a one handed dream. You can even control the vacuum right from the handle. With a push of the button you can switch between hard floor and carpet/rug. It automatically senses when it’s disconnected from its base. The odor neutralizer is gimmicky to me. It only produces the smell while vacuuming and it does not permeate the rugs or air. As soon as you turn off the vacuum the scent is gone. So the air that the vacuum produces seem to just throw the scent towards your nose to make you feel like the carpet and air is getting scented. It isn’t. The only place that smells fresh is the tiny linen closet where the vacuum resides. The light is a nice feature allowing us to see what’s on the floor in our dark hallway and if it gets snagged or stuck the light turns red. Prompting you to turn off, assess and quickly address the hiccup. So far, so good because I haven’t had to remove a single string or tangled up hair. This is the best Shark self cleaning brush roll they have had in my opinion. It’s also relatively quiet. Overall, it’s a dream. I’m giving four stars as to not be overzealous, only time will tell if this vacuum remains a dust bunny killer and if the Shark quality remains. Our Shark LiftAway that we got last year literally took its last breath, gave a loud death rattle and died 2 days before we got this one. P.S. no real bunnies were harmed.

If you are looking for a nice lightweight stick vac and you really don't have to have or desire a battery/rechargeable model I really think you should consider this Shark Stratos. It has great suction and pickup power no matter is being used as an upright or taken down and used like a corded hand vac. Dirt, dust, small debris and pet hair are easily picked up and stowed away in the bin until you are ready to empty it, or until it is full of course. And its 18 foot cord give you plenty of reach and mobility before changing outlets as you clean throughout your home. Like all stick vacuums, the Shark Stratos is top heavy and it really does not securely stand up on its own when not in use, but Shark found a way around that. Its cleaning head with the motor in it can be removed with the push of a button and stored on the hook provided near its cleaning head near the bottom of the suction tube. It then stands easily on its own to stow it away until its needed again. There is also easy storage of the cord on the back of the suction tube. Ant vacuum odors being exhausted back into the room are filtered through a scent cartridge that is easily replaceable and has a nice fresh clean scent. This vacuum is louder than any battery powered stick vac we have had but it also is more powerful, so I am good with that tradeoff. The bin is easy to remove and empty and just as easy to clean when needed

Lightweight and easy to use and maneuver. The roller will not get clogged up with hair. Surprising power for a small form factor machine. Easy to get into tight places. The included attachments are useful and easy to use. the upholstery brush works really well. Not an all in one vacuum but it works well for those quick jobs that always seem to pop up. I also like how it works equally well on carpet and hard floors.

This vacuum is perfect. It’s versatile and easily movable throughout the house. It also has great power and has done great for the past year against the hair that my three dogs shed. My only complaint is how small the tank is, but it still holds a surprising amount!

I bought this to replace a similar item purchased 5 years ago. I liked the prior one and this one is familiar which I like and it has multiple improvements over my last model. It's light but sturdy and easy to use, slim for easy storage, The carpet roller and the dust catching canister are easy to clean and re=insert. It cleans the solid floors and the carpets equally well. I thought the price was about right.
