I was in the market for a cordless vacuum and came across this one. I originally wanted a Dyson, not going to lie! -but I’m glad I went down this route (so far so good). The vacuum suction is pretty good for being so compact, and I have had no issues with vacuuming the hard floor or carpet in the bedrooms. Very very surprised with how much it grabbed from the carpet actually! The charge isn’t AMAZING, but for a little cozy home it’s perfect. It’s really simple to put together once out of the box. ALSO, love the little scent box it has -nice little touch Shark! It charges fairly quickly. Only major complaint is that it is a little heavy for what it is -but not a deal breaker by any means. I haven’t had a whole lot of time with it, but I would say it’s a bang for one’s buck for sure -definitely worth the $299 (sale price) I paid! Worth trying, definitely recommend.

Long story short. This is replacing my 1990's Kirby. I'm so in love with this thing. I do worry about the durability of it. My Kirby I would slam it into furniture and not think of it. This ALL PLASTIC thing, I'm kinda concerned and i am much more gentle with it. It's so nice to go from carpet to hardwood floors without even thinking about it - let alone having to change settings or pieces or equipment. This is so light. I do wish there was a way to clean the second roller. And why would they put a window in it without being able to clean that window. Please Fix that SHARK. RECOMMENDATION: I highly would recommend daily vacuuming in high traffic areas with shedding animals. We have 2 dogs (short hair) and 3 long hair cats that all shed A LOT! If I don't vacuum everyday this vacuum takes more than several passes to get the carpet hair free.

This vacuum is easy to use and powerful. My family just moved so you can imagine what it's like unpacking. This vacuum gets used 3 times a week and leaves the house smelling so fresh.

I’ve always had hand me down vacuums and this is my first brand new out the box one- I’m so happy!! My mom has a shark that I have used several times and I finally pulled the trigger to get my own. It picks up all of the dog hair and kid crumbs! The odor neutralizer is a nice touch, it makes my home smell so good. It is a little heavy on top but that’s my only flaw about it. It is easy storage which makes it even better!

Perfect working. My wife and daughter searched a lot on this subject. They were more interested in Dyson which was high in price. Ultimately they settled on it and we are happy on its performance in both carpet and in the wooden floor area. We saved money and at the same time we are getting the work done. All surfaces are being well handled.

Works well, I just leave it on the 'high' setting as my carpeted area isn't very large. Battery life in that setting is pretty short, quickly dropping to 50% after 2 small bedrooms, but that's all I need it to do! Do pay attention, the leading edge is open and the exposed brush will violently grab anything it touches far more often than a standard vacuum.

Awesome suction and great for cleaning ur car. Light weight . Auto detects more dirt and gets in and out of hard to reach areas . Great for stairs also

I am a Senior and i use this vacuum. It really clean my house carpet and tile floors. The weight is perfect. Yhe battery is sufficient enough for me to take a break. Very convenient for disposing and emptying the debris and cleaning the vacuum. I love it and made me feel like i am playing my toy but really serious for cleaning floors.

Great suction, I dislike the scent that the vacuum releases on the floor attachment.

I like it a lot, it has good power and is very light and manageable. It doesn't even take up much space so you can fit it in any corner of the house

Its not heavy, the power of the vaccum is strong. And its quick to charge. I recommend this vaccum and bonus is the storage space or the size of the vaccum when not in use.

Best vaccum ive bought picks up dust particles and exposes them with out a proble easy to use 100 percent worth it

Vacuum really worked well. Great suction! You could tell how well it worked by all the debris in the dust cap. I just thought it was overpriced even for a great vacuum. It was just a tad bit too expensive for my liking so I decided to return it. It does have great suction though.

Used 10 min and battery went from 100% to 10%! If i could give a lower grade i woul. Payed $401. Not worth that price.

Really good vacuum but very cheap in some areas. Obviously a selling point of this vacuum is that it can fold and save space....however when you fold it it apparently will break a covering on the hinge. This by no means was abused or slammed in any manor...my wife tried to open the vacuum and it would not, but when it did the plastic piece broke off. This plastic piece makes the vacuum look like garbage when it is missing and it is not covered by any warranty.

Works like a charm! So easy and convenient to use.

Picks up my long hair and my dogs hair I haven't had one single problrm

Bought this in 2022, now having to buy another vacuum. Quit picking up hair and the vacuum sounds awful. Will never buy another shark vacuum. Says hair pro but I think not especially if you have a dog that sheds!

The second time I used it, the part holding the folding shaft together fell off. It apparently broke, I pushed it back in and covered it with duct tape. I can’t bend it, but it’s at least functional.

In its Boost mode, it is perhaps the most powerful vacuum I’ve owned so far. Battery life and charging times are not the best, but overall, it is a great companion to enlist in your fight against dirt. - Pros: high suction power, three suction modes, easy to attach/detach extensions. - Cons: short battery life, battery charging takes too long. >> Assembly and first use Assembly was very easy. I didn’t need to, but I referred to the Quick Start Guide sheet that comes with the device, to make sure all was being done as expected. The only thing to be aware of is to first insert the Odor Neutralizer to the vacuum base; well, given the labels/notices in the package, I don’t think you’ll miss this step, but it is just something to call out. First try out of the box went great. I used the Clean Sense IQ mode to vacuum low/high profile carpets, and I also vacuumed part of a tile floor, it collected so much dirt that I became a fan of Shark. It was easy to vacuum under furniture, as the vacuum has elbows that allow it to be placed on a ninety-degree angle for a more convenient cleaning. The battery life seemed decent on this first try, it lasted over half an hour or so. The Odor Neutralizer fragrance wasn’t my favorite, I would have chosen something more like a lavender smell; nevertheless, I customized the odor intensity to get less of it. The only “major” issue was that when I opened the garbage lid, I had no idea that it would be released very fast, which resulted in me getting some dirt on my shoes and pants. So be careful when opening the garbage container, make sure to keep it close to where you want to dispose its contents. >> Battery duration Battery life is important to me, and the Shark Stratos, although not great, has a somewhat decent battery life. I run a small test to determine how long it’d take to consume 20% of the battery vacuuming a low profile carpet under its three modes. Here are the results: - Clean Sense IQ-Mode: ~5 min. - ECO: ~8 min. - Boost: ~3 min. Extrapolating, it’d mean that under Boost mode, I’d get about 15 min. of battery. So, I fully charged the battery, and then I used the vacuum in Boost mode for the whole time, the battery lasted a little more over 10 min. Anyways, these tests are just for giving you an idea of what to expect. As a final note on battery duration, I’d say that with a more powerful battery, this device would be unbeatable. >> Charging time First time charging the battery took over 2 ½ hours. Next couple of recharges took a little over 2 hours to get the battery fully charged. This, in my opinion, is a very poor performance. In addition, it doesn’t help that the charging light goes from Ambar to Green when the battery is completely charged, as the light is still blinking and from the distance you might get confused into thinking it is still being charged. It’d help if the charging light becomes solid or if it just turns off. It looks like I will end up buying a second battery, so that I can complete longer jobs without waiting 2+ hours for it to recharge. >> Modes This machine has three suction power modes: low (ECO), adaptive or variable (Clean Sense IQ) and high (Boost): - Clean Sense IQ: this mode is perfect to do an overall clean of your house, with different areas needing different cleaning power. In this mode, the vacuum adjusts itself and it changes suction power whenever needed. Be mindful that under this mode, you could be sliding the vacuum easily on some area, but on catching some dirty section, it’ll change suction power and you’d feel more resistance when pushing it. So, sometimes it feels like a bumpy ride in this mode; but I should mention, you are assured that the carpet is getting properly cleaned. - ECO: I’ve found that this mode is perfect for everyday use on an overall not so dirty carpet, where most dirt hasn’t yet gone deep inside the carpet or rug. Also, this mode is perfect for flat surfaces as it’d pick most things. - Boost: this is just what I needed for difficult areas, or areas I hadn’t vacuumed in a long time. Where other vacuums failed, this one delivered, its suction power is just great/outstanding. I was able to get heavy particles embedded deep in the carpet that I couldn’t get with other vacuums. Well, I didn’t even know those particles were there until I used the Shark Stratos (it is such its power.) >> Maintenance I ‘ve had the vacuum for a short period of time, so I cannot really comment on how frequently to clean the different parts and/or how long would they last before replacement. The only noticeable thing that caught my eye was how dirty the Anti-Allergen Dust Brush would get when cleaning everyday flat surfaces, such as tables and desks. This is a small inconvenience, as I must clean it almost after every use. If anything, given how happy I am with the Shark Stratos vacuum, I wouldn’t mind doing maintenance and cleaning whenever needed. At least, besides the Dust Brush needing cleaning after every use, I didn’t need to clean the vacuum during these few days of using it.
