I will start by saying that I currently have a mid-level stick vacuum from probably the most well-known name in vacuums. So that is kind of what I will be comparing this one to since they are about in the same price range. Unboxing and getting the vacuum up and running is a very simple task. You pretty much have the main vacuum with the battery. A long tube that connects to the part with the brush roll. There are also a couple attachments like a crevice tool and small brush as well. You just have to assemble the 3 main pieces together and then put in the odor neutralizer cup thing and you’ll be ready to go. You will most likely have to charge the battery as well because Shark claims they ship with about 30% battery level. They say the best test of a vacuum is to vacuum with your old vacuum first and then the new one to see if it picks up stuff your old one didn’t. So that’s what I did, I picked one room of our house and vacuumed with our old one, and then with the Shark. There really wasn’t much of anything in the Sharks tank when I was done, so at first glance I thought they would be pretty equal. Next, I tried the opposite. I vacuumed with the Shark first, and then went over the same area with my old vacuum. There was a pretty big clump of stuff that the Shark left behind. I will also say that I used my old vacuum on the middle power setting, and I used the Shark at the maximum setting to give it the best chance. I will also say that these were both rooms with low pile carpet in them. I have found that at least on carpeted surfaces, the Shark doesn’t do as well as its competitor. You can even tell just by looking at the carpet when you are done. Usually there are clearly defined lines of where you have vacuumed and where you haven’t, but I don’t see that with this vacuum. One other thing of note is that we have a large area rug with a very short pile. There was a feather from a pillow on that rug. I went over it probably 10-15 times with the Shark before it picked it up on the highest suction setting. Also, with my old vacuum on the high setting it sticks to the rug so tightly with suction that I can barely move it. I was able to easily glide across the rug even on the highest setting with the Shark. I attribute this mainly to the roller on the Shark. It's not a typical brush, it's more of a felt roller with solid rubber fins in them where the brush would normally be. I think it makes it harder for the head to get in the carpet fibers and they more just skim across the top. I also attempted to vacuum pet hair from our Boston Terrier off the couch. I found that with any of the attachments it did not work well at all. I had to do multiple passes to only pick up a small amount of hair. Even then I found most of the hair just got caught in the brush and didn’t actually get sucked into the vacuum. Next, I tested it on our luxury vinyl plank floor. I have to say that it worked very well on those floors. We also have vinyl flooring in our basement, and I tried it on there as well and it also worked very well. It was picking up dust, and dog hair, and specs of food with ease. I think hard floors is the best use for this vacuum. If you have a mixed home with carpet and hardwood, you might not be happy with this vacuum. Now I will get into the overall usability of the vacuum. I will start by saying I love that it has 2 nice and bright LED headlights on the front. That is something a lot of people don’t include on their stick type vacuums for some reason. I also like the low profile of the vacuum head. I was able to get under things that I wasn’t able to with my other vacuum. I do wish that as well as pivoting up and down you would also be able to rotate the head side to side (twisting the handle left and right). It would make it even easier to get under certain pieces of furniture. If you have the other “big name” vacuum, you know what I mean. I like that if you take the top off the vacuum, you can attach it easily to the wand and base and it is able to stand upright on its own. That makes it a lot easier to store the vacuum instead of having to hang it on a wall. One thing I wish it had was a way to attach the attachments to the main wand tube of the vacuum. Then you never have to go look for them and they are just available when you need them. Not a big deal, but a minor annoyance. I think the Odor Neutralizer is a bit of a gimmick and not all that useful. Just a way for Shark to sell accessories I think. I probably wouldn’t buy another one when this pod wears out because I don’t think it makes much of a difference. You could just do a quick spray of air freshener and get the same effect. Another thing that would be nice is if it had a smaller attachment with a motorized brush in it for doing things like stairs. Maybe something that Shark could develop in the future (I know they offer them for other models). For now, it would be very hard to do stairs with this vacuum. The battery life I found to be useable. We have a 2400 square foot house. About ¾ hard surface and the rest carpet. I was able to get through the whole house on the medium suction level without having to recharge. It was pretty drained by that point though. I also like that it has a detachable battery. That way if the battery goes bad, you don’t have to buy a whole new vacuum, you can just replace the battery and you should be good to go. You could also purchase a second or third battery to have on hand to extend the vacuum time by easily swapping out the battery (extra batteries arent available at the time of writing this, but hopefully they will be soon). One last small gripe is that ergonomically, the power and speed settings buttons should be swapped. You typically would use the on/off button more and it is the hardest button to reach with one hand unless you have large hands. Overall, I will say this is a well built and well-designed vacuum. I would recommend it with one caveat, that you mostly have hard surfaces in your house. If you have a fully carpeted house, I would look elsewhere. It is very lightweight and easy to use. Far lighter than the other main competitor, which would make it a good choice for people who have problems gripping or lifting things like seniors. Its not bad, but its not the best.

Summary: I've own, a few of the cordless Shark vacuums along with other big brand names that end with son and sung and I have to say Shark keeps on improving their vacuums with better performance and sleek looking designs. The Shark cordless pro vacuum has really impressed me with suction and as well as features like the improved roller that helps avoid hair clogging it up. The deodoring neutralizer is also a nice feature. I'm not too sure about their IQ sense feature, maybe needs more time for me to get used to it but I'd recommend this product for anyone looking to buy a new cordless vacuum. In the Box: Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum 3 attachments Battery charger I have a 670 square feet apartment and use this without having to recharge, I can clean the floors and suck up any messes, cobwebs, and any other debris in one go. I would rate the vacuum as follows: Performance (suction)....8/10 Battery life .....................9/10 Ease of clean out .......... 7/10 IQ sense ........................5/10 The only thing I didn't like was the IQ Sense, I would prefer a more consistent vacuum pressure rather than it automatically adjusting for me but maybe I need to give it a little more time to get used to the vacuum automatically change settings for me based on how much dirt/debris it senses. Conclusion: I like the Shark brand more and more with each iteration of vacuums they produce. I owned some of their earlier models and wasn't too impressed. Now I can really say I wouldn't mind having this vac over the larger brand names.

Perfection! That’s one word I can say would sim this amazing products up. If you are in the market to get a new cordless vacuum then look no further! Shark has put together a high quality cordless vacuum that brings power and long battery life. Upon opening the product you can tell it’s well made by the materials and strength of it. It took about 15 minutes to get it all setup and then put on charger. After about 3 hours on charger I came back and was ready to roll. I have a 2200 sqft home. I started on the wood floors and then made my way to the tiled rooms. I was able to notice the suction power was very intense but the duct particles it was grabbing away from the head. Every room was left spotless once I used the Shark! I did notice on the tenth room after 20 mins the battery was draining and would need charged soon. Overall the vacuum provided me with a high quality cleaning experience. My wife loves it as she’s able to now just pick up and go with ease. So I recommend this product for and person that wants a lightweight yet powerful vacuum!

The Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum with Clean Sense IQ technology is another great vacuum in the long line of excellent products offered by Shark. I love my corded Shark vacuum but I was intrigued when I came across this cordless Shark vacuum. I haven’t really used any sort of cordless vacuum since I was a kid when we used to have a small rechargeable hand vacuum for small jobs. From what I remember, that old tiny thing we used to have didn’t have much power and it never seemed to last long enough to get the job done. Thoughts of this old vacuum went through my head when considering this new Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum and I was initially a little hesitant to trust another cordless vacuum but I have grown to love Shark’s range of products and figured it was worth giving this cordless vacuum a chance and I am sure glad I did! To start, assembling the unit was very easy and straightforward. I always read through the instruction manuals when I receive new products but I believe anyone can easily figure out how it goes together pretty quickly without any sort of instructions. One thing to note that was specifically mentioned in the manual was to fully charge the battery before using the vacuum for the first time and then make sure you fully deplete the battery the first time you use it to condition the battery. This is somewhat common with rechargeable devices nowadays but some people may not be aware of it and given how easy it is to assemble this vacuum, many people may skip reviewing the manual altogether and they will miss this important bit of information. Once I had fully charged the battery and began using the vacuum, I was pleasantly surprised by how powerful it is. My initial worries and memories of the old handheld vacuum were instantly sucked away along with everything else this new Shark vacuum came in contact with. The Clean Sense IQ technology is an interesting feature and although I didn’t really come up with a way to truly test whether the reading the vacuum was giving was accurate in terms of how dirty a particular area was, I have no reason to doubt that it really was sensing the area and applying the appropriate power needed to clean each area. One other thing I would like to specifically mention is how fluid and maneuverable this vacuum is. The pivot head on the base makes maneuvering this vacuum so easy, especially since there is not cord to ever hold you back. I did not officially time the life of the battery but it seemed to last at least as long as advertised which was also very pleasing as 40 minutes is more than enough time for most jobs which are easier to do with a cordless vacuum. Overall, I am very impressed with the Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum with Clean Sense IQ technology and I highly recommend it!

This is our second Shark vacuum cleaner that we have gotten from Best Buy. Sadly, I had gotten the last one a little too wet and so it was making some god-awful noise. In my haste to find out why I accidentally broke a few pieces that did not need to be broken. So, it was time for a new one. Luckily it was no time when I had the opportunity for us to get this vacuum. I must say that our previous Shark was insanely more powerful...like slinging the rug across the floor power on the self-propelled wheels, but I can't really complain too terribly much because it still picks up everything that we have needed this one too. I just wish it was a tad more powerful in the self-moving wheels and the suction. If you have never had a Shark or I suppose any upright stick vacuums whether it was this one with the cordless functionality or the previous corded Shark that we had, neither of them would sit upright unless you unhooked the vacuum from the stick. Surely this could be counter-balanced by some weights in the base, but I do not want to have to do this myself when I feel it should be done from the factory. If the manufacturer can solve a) the power of the wheels and the power as far as suction, b) extend the battery life just a bit more and c) solve for the not sitting upright unless disassembled I do not think I would ever move away from the upright stick vacuum or the Shark brand ever again! I have done an extended test to test out the fragrance/odor neutralizing piece that they have on offer for this model. I can say it has lasted almost the entire month I am a few days shy, but it is still going) and that is with us having 2 pets and using it every few days in short durations. Will the fragrance pods be a gimmick like the toilet seats by a certain large company are? Or will it be here to stay? I am not sure...sadly I bought one of those toilet seats, but we ended up going with a heated one not long after (amazing if I must say so myself). Anyway, I digress. So, the vacuum and the fragrance of the pod is holding up strong so far for the better part of almost a month. I was pleasantly surprised & we are all super happy with the Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum so far in my house! All in all, though we are extremely happy & are super pleased with our new vacuum. Thank you to Shark for making such a solid vacuum-it just needs a couple minor changes (in my opinion) to go from great to perfect! But if you can get over those quirks then this is definitely your next vacuum! Oh, and emptying the dust bin is a breeze with a single click of a button! Even easier than our last model!
