Great Choice
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Lenovo Legion Pro i5 for a few weeks, and it has been an excellent choice for both gaming and productivity. The Intel Core i5 processor handles most tasks smoothly, including mid-to-high-end gaming, video editing, and multitasking. Paired with the NVIDIA GPU, it performs quite well for the price, offering a solid balance between performance and affordability. Pros: Performance: The i5 processor, combined with the RTX graphics card, provides more than enough power to run AAA games and demanding software without much lag. Design: The Legion Pro's sleek, yet aggressive design makes it stand out from typical gaming laptops, with RGB lighting that can be customized. Display: The high refresh rate and color accuracy make gaming and content creation a pleasure. Thermal Management: The cooling system works well, keeping the laptop from overheating during extended gaming sessions. Cons Battery Life: As with most gaming laptops, the battery life isn't the best. When gaming, it only lasts a few hours before needing to be plugged in. Portability: It's on the heavier side, so it's not the best option if you're looking for a laptop to carry around frequently. Speakers: While functional, the sound quality could be improved for a better immersive experience, particularly when gaming. Conclusion: The Lenovo Legion Pro i5 is a great choice for gamers and power users who need solid performance without breaking the bank. Its build quality, combined with its impressive specs, makes it a strong contender in the gaming laptop market. However, if battery life or portability is a priority, you might want to explore other options. You could also add personal anecdotes if you’ve used specific software or games on it. Let me know if this fits what you're looking for!

Excellent Gaming Machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro, and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations. This gaming laptop is an absolute beast when it comes to performance and design, making it a true powerhouse that will elevate your gaming experience to new heights. First and foremost, the Legion 5 Pro's performance is unparalleled. Equipped with an incredibly powerful AMD Ryzen processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card, this laptop effortlessly handles even the most demanding games and applications. The smooth and lag-free gameplay is simply breathtaking, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the virtual worlds I explore. The 16-inch Quad HD display with a 165Hz refresh rate is an absolute delight. The visuals are incredibly sharp and vibrant, bringing games to life with stunning clarity. The HDR 400 certification adds an extra touch of brilliance to the colors and contrast, making every scene pop off the screen. Whether I'm battling foes or enjoying a visually stunning open-world adventure, the Legion 5 Pro never fails to deliver an awe-inspiring visual experience. Another aspect that deserves praise is the laptop's design, the build quality is exceptional, with a sturdy chassis that feels durable and solid. The cooling system of the Legion 5 Pro deserves a special mention. Even during intense gaming sessions, the laptop remains surprisingly cool, thanks to the advanced thermal management. This ensures that the system maintains optimal performance without any thermal throttling, which is crucial for maintaining smooth gameplay and extending the longevity of the components. Additionally, the Legion 5 Pro comes with a variety of useful ports and connectivity options, ensuring seamless integration with all my peripherals. The ample storage space and upgradeability options allow me to store and access my extensive gaming library without any compromise. Just missing a Thunderbolt port. In conclusion, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is a true gaming marvel that leaves a lasting impression. Its unmatched performance, stunning visuals, and remarkable design make it a standout choice for any serious gamer. Lenovo has once again proven their commitment to excellence with this exceptional gaming laptop. Highly recommended for those seeking an unparalleled gaming experience!

I'm sold on Lenovo after buying this!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is super solid and runs GREAT! Some of my thoughts. Build quality: This is an easy 10. The laptop feels solid and is made of sturdy materials. Screen: The screen looks amazing. 2K resolution, good viewing angles, crisp colors, and 16" is a perfect screen size for just about everything. Gaming: Smooth as silk. Advanced Optimus is great and the presence of a MUX switch. Advanced Optimus can be a smidge quirky sometimes but that has nothing to do with this laptop and everything to do with current Nvidia drivers and implementation. Nothing that can't be worked through by setting things up well in the Nvidia Control Panel. Fan Noise: Honestly the quietest gaming laptop I've owned. Almost silent at idle and when gaming hard the fans do make noise but nothing compared to some other laptops I've used. Speakers: Yeah, gamers usually use headsets but I still care about the speaker quality. The speakers are average for a laptop. They're nothing to get excited about but they sound perfectly fine. Volume is just loud enough to be able to game on speakers if needed or watch a movie. Battery life: It's a gaming laptop so expectations should be set low. I am getting about 3 hours if I switch to Quiet Mode on battery while doing normal tasks. All in all this laptop is great and I would highly recommend it!

Great Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally, I’m able to play any games I want, love the metal frame, it could be a little stronger, but no complaints here. This computer is heavy and big, is not for everyone. The battery is good. However, if you’re playing demanding games, it would barely last you. I love the camera shut down switch. Overall, a well built laptop, I always wanted one.

Great Gaming PC, Very satisfied with purchase.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great PC, I've played alot of games on it since I bought it 3 months ago, I didn't know my purchase came with game pass ultimate and I've used this so much. I'm actually going to keep the subscription after the trail period is up. The PC is very fast, with good enough starting storage. I'm going to be upgrading the ram and SSD space.(it's upgradeable). The display is wonderful, why doesn't anybody else use 2.5k? 4k is nice and the device is capable of 4k gaming with the graphica card they give you, but 2.5k looks pretty great. I like it alot, I will probably get an external monitor to run it with. All and all, a great pc. And has sold me on Lonovo devices... I'm eying up their Legion Go.

A Casual Enthusiast's Thoughts
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had it for over a month now. My last PC had half a TB of storage, so this is a HUGE upgrade. The graphics card is beastly, and now everything I look at is always awesome and lovely. Not to mention, the fan is pretty quiet. This laptop has pretty much zero blindspots! If you can afford it, it's a pretty good investment for your future in gaming, video production, etc.

No fuss, works out of the box, no trouble for now
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of my first owned prebuilts: runs all of my games well at maximum settings/ultra settings (I regularly play Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur’s Gate 3, RDR2, my monitor is only 1080p). The fan is noticeably as it revs up on start up but mostly stays a quiet drone unless I’ve been playing a really heavy game like Cyberpunk. I’ve seen many reviewers agree that the cooling is decent but can be improved though I personally haven’t (I do agree better fans would help it in the long run). Never had any overheating but it does make a good space heater in the winter when gaming heavily.

Great laptop for gaming but battery doesn’t last
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great gaming laptop. Definitely recommend having it raised a little like in the photo to allow for cooler air. Something to raise just the rear should be enough, I pack a mouse in this pencil case and I haven’t felt the need to buy some laptop raiser. The angle the laptop will be at when raised still allows you to use it with relative comfort while gaming. The extra room (1-1.5 in) for airflow makes a huge difference when it comes to how hot the laptop will get. I primarily use it for gaming when I’m away from my desktop at home but it still needs to be plugged in if you’re planning on gaming for an extended period of time. Battery doesn’t last very long at all but it’s to be expected.

Good little rig.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im really enjoying my new laptop. I was on the fence between this one and alienware, but what sold me on the pro 5i was the port layout. Power and HDMI are on the back making life easier for cable management.

Solid Gaming Laptop for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a solid laptop. It's perfect for 1080p gaming at well over 100 fps high settings. It does 1440p well too at around 60fps. It also has some upgradability. I added an extra SSD and upgraded the RAM pretty easily on this device. Nowadays it's not uncommon to find a laptop with only one M.2 slot, or RAM you can't remove and upgrade so it's a nice plus. Battery life is a bit rough. It's a gaming laptop so I wasn't expecting all day battery, but it can be a struggle to get it to hit 6 hours when doing light tasks. The device also had some early struggles for me early on. Things like the device freezing and disconnecting everything plugged into it. It hasn't happened after I made some adjustments in the settings, but it can be really frustrating to deal with.

Very high quality build - easily upgradable
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very high quality build - easily upgradable components - gaming monster. Only negatives I would say is it came pre-installed with McAfee garbage and its a bit heavy. The weight I cant really complain about because its a gaming laptop - comes with the territory. I've tried running Last Epoch, Path of exile, Baldur's Gate 3, and Cyberpunk 2077 so far with zero issues.

Pretty solid lappy!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop does it all. I'd recommend adding another 16GB of RAM to it, but other than that, it's a beast. I've used it for writing, for gaming, for editing my podcast-both video and audio. It has handled everything I've thrown at it. My biggest complaint, and i was aware of this going in, is the battery. I feel that these companies can create a battery that will hold up doing all of the things I listed, for more than an hour or 2. It's fine, I'm almost always near an outlet, but it would make this particular laptop unmatched. Games I've played on it are Jedi:Survivor, Hellblade, Red Dead Redemption 2, and a few older games. All ran fine. To me, this is more than a gaming laptop. It's comparable to my heavy duty desktop PC in a lot of ways, so I feel like I can do everything I have to do regardless of where I am.

This is an amazing laptop for the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't be more thrilled with my new Legion 5i Pro. This is the newest model sporting the i7 13700HX, RTX 4070, and 16gb of RAM. In performance mode, this thing is an absolute monster for a laptop. I am playing Battlefield 2042 at a solid 140-160fps with DLSS enabled, and 100fps in New World with quality settings maxed out. I was originally going to go with a different laptop and I sure am glad that I didn't, the other one only had a 1080p display with a max brightness of 250 nits. The display on the Legion is absolutely fantastic, not only is it a higher resolution, it's much brighter and has superb contrast. Did I mention you get all of that plus it's a 240hz panel?? Games look great on the built-in display. I might actually start using my laptop for gaming more than my desktop, who knows! I did score an extra $150 off on Lenovo's website with some holiday deals which incentivized this purchase even further, bringing it WELL below the price of competing spec laptops by $500 or more. The build quality is top shelf, the keyboard is excellent, and so is the trackpad. In performance mode the 4070 has no problem sucking down its 140w, the built in Legion software even lets you overclock the GPU and vRAM further increasing this units performance. In high performance mode, the fans ramp up to a good clip and are somewhat noisy, but they do not make any "annoying" noises, all you hear is the air being moved, and there's a lot of it. The cooling setup on this laptop is able to keep the CPU and GPU cool enough for maximim power draw while gaming, coming from the included 300w power brick. If you're in the market for a gaming laptop and maybe looking at one that's a few hundred dollars less than this, do yourself a huge favor and spend a bit more for this unit. It's competing with laptops way way above its price point while its on sale.
