Better quality and warranty in this price range
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this copier when it was on sale, price was great. The quality of black and white printing is good and printing speed is fast, It took average 2.7 seconds (copier in sleep status) when I use AirPrint function. The quality of color print is acceptable, need to adjust many times to get the better results. Set up is easy but the printer APP not very useful. The size of the color touchscreen display and the sensitivity is just right. I love the function of the two sides printing; scan and fax. Also comes with three years warranty. If this copier comes with a larger volume (500 pages) paper tray, or option of selling one as accessory will be good idea. Only issue of this copier is quite heavy.

HP all in one color laser printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. Bought for home office use for myself as well as many kid users also. AirPrint works well but takes time for discovery. Print quality is acceptable and decent clarity. Scans are clear. The desktop software interface could be more user friendly and isn’t truly intuitive for those who aren’t very tech savvy but if you are used to office based products then you should have no problem. My point of comparison is the HP software that I am using with my HP all in one device. I’m happy with the product however given that I bought it on sale for a good price compare to MRSP

Pro level
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quality printer, definitely good for a small office. Scanning and printing is awesome. Bought this for its duplex scanning which is great for creating digital scans of my plethora of military records. Its just works and setup was easy. The extra piece that comes with the printer is a dust shield for using legal paper…no idea why they couldn’t tell you that.

Great printer
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great printer. Excellent quality prints. Love the duplex printing & faxing. Also able to store scans into usb jump drive for backups. The drivers do not work well for wireless printing so I installed the drivers first & used windows setup to add the printer. Expensive toners but that is what lasers toners cost. Luckily I was able to buy the toners for $25 from off market brand.

Nice printer for home use……
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Printer is user friendly with WiFi connectivity and the ability to print from any device…….no complaints so far. Ink cartridges are expensive but what isn’t in 2023.

Good pick for small business or home office
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great medium volume printer. Excellent print quality and feature set for its price category. After initial setup which wasn't too bad or cumbersome very quickly comes realization that it is worth the investment. MF656Cdw prints fast and with flawless duplex print execution. By now 8 months later I have few thousands of prints, (probably 4K +) and had to replace all of the toner cartridges twice. The print quality is still great with no ghosting, smudges or jams. Not a single paper jam how is that for amassing? Love the universal single sheet tray as it is perfect for occasional label or sign printing. Scanner works good and it is perfectly sufficient for all business archiving, copying etc... Flexibility of storage and ability to print from or save the scan to flash or network drive is a definite plus. Fax function works good and it is probably an overkill quality for few order faxes a week. Now the bad: As usual its the cost of consumables such as toner that are entirely unreasonable and as an added insult is the threat of voiding the warranty if you use aftermarket toner. There is also a nagging prompt and misreporting of toner status that reports cartridges empty well before they actually are. It is possible to continue printing if you clear out the nag screen however some Mac computers will refuse to send a print job because the printer is reporting out of toner status! Another annoyance is that there is no indication of paper supply level until you run out of it (usually in a middle of printing an urgent report or other important document). Its annoying because it is would be very simple thing to provide a small vertical cutout on the tray that will let you see paper level. And finally, the machine has developed a slight whine in the past month or so when warming up and cycling the paper. Everything still works as it should but it may be a sign of future failure and i will have it checked. It could be just a excess toner and paper dust accumulation on rollers and drums that needs to be cleaned but we will see. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and so far I got everything I needed and wanted out of this machine. Cant wait for toner price to come down to earth as there is absolutely no justification for current pricing structure.

Loud but good print quality. Airprint capable!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First time owning a color laser printer and wow! quality so much better than inkjets. Since the advent of digital reports, we dont use printers often..but every now and then we still need to print some documents. Inkjets dries out, lasers dont. Toner price is 3x more than ink cartridges and generic toners will not work. But you get thousand of pages before you need to replace the toners.. This printer is also huge ( has 4 toners) so make sure you have enough space. Also- it prints so loud! if you can ignore the sound, it is fast and airprint ability made our lives so much easier!

Great Home Printer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Canon imageCLASS MF656CDW printer is perfect for a small office or home user. No more wasted money from throwing away dried up inkjet cartridges! Setup was extremely easy, and connecting to our Wi-Fi network was easy. We got a great price from Best Buy on sale. Yes, the purchase price is more than the typical inkjet printer, but you should be ahead financially if you factor in the cost of inkjet cartridges. The unit prints quickly and quietly. A few downsides: the weight (over 40lbs) and the height might be an issue for some.

Great printer but loud
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for a color laser that had duplex scanning and this one checked all the boxes. Prints great and scanning is great. First page out is a little slower than I'd hoped but that's not a deal breaker. It's also louder than previous printers But again it's worth it for the print quality and the auto duplex scanning. Set up was easy once the software was downloaded to each of the computers.

Worth every penny!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent print quality for office work. Have not used for photograph printing as that was not the intent of purchase. Prints quickly (see device details for pages per minute info.). Easy to setup and use. It does print faster via USB / direct connection but that will be pretty much all printers. Highly recommend for anyone who does not print every day.

Great printer for SMB or WFH needs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, so good. My last printer (a HP laserjet MFP b&w) lasted for a good 12 years. I've worked from home since 2012 and it was a reliable printer and scanner. I'm sure this one will be the same. I knocked off a star not because I'm unhappy with the product but because, like all printers, the management functionality is always an afterthought. Like Cisco, HP, Brother, and other vendors I've worked with in IT, GUI design is an afterthought. The menu and management functionality is no worse than anyone else but that isn't a very high bar. The print quality is excellent, and the breadth of features is more than enough for most SMB or WFH needs. Heavy printers may want an additional paper tray, but other than those few things, I wouldn't have any problem recommending this to others...for now. We will see if Canon has built a product that will last as long as my old HP.,

Nice little printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall good printer. Great print quality, good speed, small footprint. A bit noisy when starting up. Will not print on glossy photo paper. Screen is very small so it's easy to select the wrong option. Onscreen paper tray size setup is a bit confusing, and the "online manual" is no help. For the sale price this was a steel.

Quality color laser printer in an easy package
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast, easy to align the collated pages when printing back to front. Reliable printer with good quality image reproduction. I wouldn't consider the printer photo ready, but with some tweaks, you can make a significant improvement in how the printer handles photos and high resolution graphics. Canon has always been good about providing user tweaks, and this printer is no exception. Good all around printer and easy to use.

MFC656cdw Review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the printer/copier/scanner. Very good quality of prints in clarity and color. The only downside - it was a bit difficult to setup with a VPN. Had to actually call customer support to help in completing the setup. When scanning from a desktop PC, I still need to disable the VPN. Originally had to disable the VPN to print, but was able to find a workaround from VPN provider to now print without disabling, have not found a workaround for the scanning piece yet. Other than than that - fantastic printer with all the extras that we wanted

Setup easy and prints good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reviewed numerous Color Laser and inkjet printers before settling on this Canon MF656Cdw. It had the best reviews of any color laser printer. I purchased through Best Buy and had it delivered. It arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. The setup was very easy for an older boomer and it functions and prints extremely well. I would recommend this printer for anyone looking for a color laser printer.
