Love this unit. First off, I love the compact size. This replaced a much larger unit of a different brand. I now have so much more counter space. Right off the bat, I see a lot of thought went into designing this unit. It has everything you need and it is all laid out perfectly. It is well made and seems very durable. Set up was a breeze and I was brewing my first cup of coffee in just minutes. After priming the unit, you are all ready to go. I love the all the sizes of coffee it will make. So many options. I love the storage compartments for all the accessories. Nothing to put in kitchen drawers and search for. For me, I love the convenience of using a pod when I’m short on time, but also being able to use my favorite regular coffee grounds when I have more time. It takes about 20 seconds to switch the filters from pod to coffee ground filter. Love that! The pods fit perfectly and brew perfectly. The attached frother is an amazing bonus. It pops right out and is easy to use and is easy to take off to clean. Brewing time is fast and you can fit about any size cup or travel mug under the spout. I also love the large water storage container. Overall I love this thing and it is the perfect brewer. I could not be happier and it I hope it gives me years and years of reliable service. This is a home run! Ninja did it and this coffee maker my perfect counter unit!!!

As a passionate coffee lover, I've recently experienced a revolution in my morning routine with the Ninja Specialty Single-Serve Coffee Maker. This sleek, black machine has completely transformed my at-home coffee experience. I am replaced my 2019 Keurig coffee maker. And It’s been a month since I began using this machine. Firstly, the versatility of this coffee maker is unparalleled. It's not just limited to K-Cup pods; it graciously accommodates both pods and ground coffee, allowing me to enjoy a wide variety of brews. Whether I'm in the mood for a quick espresso shot or a leisurely, flavorful cup, this machine has me covered. One standout feature is the built-in milk frother. It effortlessly creates creamy, frothy goodness that elevates my coffee to cafe-quality levels. Cappuccinos, lattes, or even a simple frothed milk for my regular brew, it's all possible with this fantastic addition. Another small feature, is the ability to adjust height of the base to your cup size to prevent spills, I appreciate the customization options it offers. The multiple brew sizes cater to my varying caffeine needs throughout the day, ensuring I can have just the right amount without any waste. Plus, the adjustable brew strength allows me to tailor the richness of each cup to suit my preferences perfectly. Cleanup is a breeze, thanks to the detachable water reservoir and drip tray. The machine's design seems intuitive, and maintaining it has been hassle-free. The sleek, modern design not only adds an aesthetic appeal to my kitchen but also speaks volumes about its quality and functionality. The machine feels robust and well-built, instilling confidence in its longevity. It also does not take up much space as my previous coffee machine. However, like any product, it's not without minor cons. The machine can be a tad noisy during the brewing process, but the resulting delicious cup of coffee makes it a negligible issue for me. Made a Latte for the first time, came out delicious, better than purchasing from Dunkin or Starbucks, as I can adjust the sugar level to my liking. In conclusion, the Ninja - Pods & Grounds Specialty Single-Serve Coffee Maker has become an indispensable part of my daily routine. Its versatility, ease of use, and ability to produce top-notch coffee beverages make it a worthy investment for any coffee aficionado. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking barista-quality coffee from the comfort of their home.

Cool machine, but not ultimately, it's not good. Leaves tons of grounds in the bottom of my cup every time I use a K-Cup. I have tried different brands of K-Cups, and the results are the same, a mouthful of grounds as you get to the bottom of the cup. I strongly recommend that you DO NOY BUY!

      Hi JamesH,

The Ninja PB051 is a very compact, yet versatile little coffee maker. It has a very slim profile, which is great if counter space is in short supply for you. It's about the width of my coffee mug. The platform is adjustable which is nice if you have low/wide cups. You can avoid spatter Set up is easy, you can pop a pod or after swapping the basket which stores nicely in the side, you can put grounds in. There are multiple variations of what you can brew, as well as what size your mug is. The pours are fairy consistent. My mug holds 12 Oz (verified with measuring cup) to the brim. I set it to 10 Oz to leave room for milk/sugar. A couple times that it was left at 12oz for people that didn't add anything, I had to swap another mug because it kept going. Did an extra couple ounces. Best to do some water test runs to figure out your personal mugs magic number I'll have to do more research to see if it's something on my end (maybe different amounts of grounds) The reservoir is large enough that you can churn out 4 or 5 cups (depending on mug size) before refilling. Instead of boiling it all at once then dispensing, it seems like it dispenses as it boils, because it'll drip a bit then pause, then continue. You won't be confused though because there's a progress bar along the top and it will beep when it's done. Clean up is quick, basket lid flips up and pops out allowing a quick rinse. The nozzle also pops straight off so you can give it a wash The Frother on the side is cool for lattes. It flips out and is simple to operate (press button atop the arm) my kids love their matcha lattes.

I purchased this machine because i was setting up a tea and hot chocolate bar and it fit perfectly. I love that it has the slender body shape, more than the usual cup sizes, an adjustable platform for your cup to sit on so when the water dispenses it goes in the cup and not all over the counter and finally very impressed with the froth handle. What a great addition to the machine.

The Ninja PB051 is a nice coffee maker. The water reservoir can hold up to 56oz (according to the manual regarding the cleaning process).I really like the form factor. It is not too wide or too tall. I can fit it in different areas of the kitchen. I will eventually use it in my home office and the size is perfect. The LCD screen is easy to read and bright enough for me. The interface is fairly easy to use. There are buttons to control the size and how taste (style). The brew button starts the brewing process. It has an adapter storage bin for the permanent filter. This is great. It’s compact and I won’t have to worry about losing pieces. One thing to note is the pod to use with coffee grounds. I have another Ninja coffee maker. My old Keurig pod did not work. It has a hole in the center of the cover. But the other Ninja coffee maker has three nozzles. So my old adapter did not work. I had to purchase new ones. This Ninja PB051 has one nozzle so I can use my old pods. Either way, I had both adapters. So the three main things I really like are the size. It’s compact compared to my other coffee makers I had in the past. The size of the water reservoir is more than adequate. And the storage for the adapters.

As someone who loves coffee,I was excited to give this coffee maker a try. Right out of the box, I was impressed by the sleek design and compact size of the machine. It doesn't take up too much space on my kitchen counter compared to my old coffee maker and looks great. Setting up the machine was super easy. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and I had it up and running in no time. I loved that the machine came with its own reusable filter cup, so I don't always have to use K-Cups. Once the machine was ready to go, I brewed my first cup of coffee. I was really surprised by how quickly the machine brewed the coffee, and how much hotter it got my coffee, than my old coffee maker. I was able to customize how I would like my coffee from classic, rich, over ice and what size of my coffee using the different settings on the machine, which was a nice touch. One of the standout features of this machine is the frother. I was pleasantly happy with how well it did stirring my coffee, and the frother on this machine is a great addition. I just recommend after using it with a cup of water to clean it off and to use washcloth to get it really cleaned. The water Tank in this coffee maker is easy to get on and off to refill and has a huge capacity. Overall, I would highly recommend the Ninja PB051 Single-Serve Specialty Coffee Maker to anyone who enjoys quick and easy single serve coffee and wants a machine that is both easy to use and doesn't take up space.

The NINJA PB51 single serve coffee maker is an excellent buy in many ways. It's well designed and like all their products that I've purchased in the past, NINJA has done an excellent job bringing this to market. What I love about it so much is that I'm going to save a lot of money on purchasing grounds instead of K cups. That makes this a great transition machine - I can use up the K cups that I have and stop buying them in favor of a much less expensive bag of coffee grounds or beans if you have a grinder. There's also the ecological benefit of not having to continually add more K-Cup plastics into the landfills and the environment. That's always been a source of apprehension when buying a coffee maker that's convenient and uses a K-Cup mechanism. Now with this unit I'm able to be very selective and only purchase K cups that are a specialty. For example, I don't typically drink decaf, but a visitor or guest might request that over a regular cup of coffee. So, I can keep a box of decaffeinated coffee K cups in the cupboard. There are many other types of drinks that come in K-Cup form, including hot chocolate or tea. These are things I would not buy in a larger quantity, however I would in K-Cup form for accommodating guests. The savings that I will realize over the course of this product’s life will easily pay for itself. A single K-Cup is usually around $0.50. I can make a single cup of coffee using the ground for $0.10. That's a big savings, and that coupled with the reduction of K cups I'm throwing away makes this a wise purchase. The design of the coffee maker is interesting. It's slender and long and has a unique look to it. I don't particularly love this design. I would have preferred a package that is more squared and not so deep front to back. This is just personal taste, the reason I would prefer a different design is this protrudes out far on my counter. If you put it into a corner that is ideal as it would use that space optimally. But that has no impact on the functionality of the unit, it's just an aesthetic taste. Speaking of taste let's talk about whether it makes a good cup of coffee. I have used this for making coffee for myself and for more than one person at a time. Even though it's a single serve unit it can make up to 24 ounces in one brewing. In those cases of larger amounts of coffee made you'll be using grounds and filling the provided coffee basket with the right amount of coffee grounds. Everyone has different tastes when it comes to how strong they want their coffee. Ninja accommodates those tastes by providing a simple push button selector for different strength brews. You can easily choose whether you want a strong cup of coffee, or a mild one. There’s even a setting to prepare a cup of iced coffee. Since this uses a reusable coffee basket, you can expect some sediment coffee to come through if you don't grind your own. This will happen to any unit besides this one that uses a reusable filter basket. There are a few choices you can make. The easiest is just to live with it and you'll have a little bit of coffee silt at the bottom of your coffee cup. If that bothers you, then you could grind your own beans like I do. Set your grinder to a course setting and the coffee grounds will not seep through the reusable filter. Another option that I use is placing a paper coffee filter inside the reusable filter. I have a lot of leftover coffee filters from an old coffee machine. It's very simple to put a paper coffee filter either inside the basket, or in between the basket and the holder. The difference in taste is indistinguishable, but the convenience of putting a filter inside the basket is that it's very easy and less messy to throw away the grounds. This is perhaps the one negative about any reusable coffee filter basket. They are a pain in the neck to clean. That is unless you use the paper filter combination as I mentioned. This is a suggestion for the designers at NINJA, you could make this one negative less of a headache by designing the lid of the coffee container for the basket to not be on a hinge but use a quick lock top instead that you can pop on and off easily. The reason that would make a big difference is if your basket is full of used wet coffee grounds it's a pain in the neck to try and hold the lid open while dumping the coffee grounds in the garbage. That usually entails hitting the sides of the garbage can, thus putting stress on the hinge. The user would need to be careful not to break the hinge. This wouldn't be an issue if they used a removable top instead. You could carefully pop off the lid from the hinge, but I don't think it's meant to do that repeatedly and you might end up weakening the plastic and breaking it overtime. So, NINJA if you're reading this, give it a thought to ditch the hinge. The taste of the coffee that comes out of the NINJA PB51 is quite good. I've had other NINJA coffee makers and have always been happy and satisfied with the way their machines brew coffee. They have the process dialed in very well and can accommodate multiple size cups without changing the quality of the brew. The reservoir of coffee water that sits on the back of the unit is nicely designed and doesn't need to be refilled very often. Speaking of the water tank, it's neat looking but would be even better and more modern looking if were lit with a blue LED. I'm going to try and “MacGyver” my own LED on the base of the unit to light up the water tank. Again, this has nothing to do with a better cup of coffee. It's just aesthetics - but would certainly look cool. In summary I'm very pleased with this coffee maker. I think they've done an excellent job designing it and giving people the option of moving away from plastic K cups. When those first came out, I think everyone was thrilled with the idea of a single serving good cup of coffee. But later we realized that these were not very environmentally friendly. There have been attempts to make biodegradable K cups, but to my knowledge none have worked out. So, NINJA has provided a very good solution! This unit allows me to use up my remaining K cups and grind my own beans instead and save quite a bit of money and feel good that I'm not adding to the number of plastics going into the earth. I highly recommend this to anyone who generally just makes coffee for themselves and occasionally for other people. I think it covers all my needs, it makes an excellent tasting cup of coffee whether I'm using the last of my K cups or making coffee from ground beans. I should mention also that while I don't normally froth my milk, this unit has a frother that swings out from the side. I've used it several times and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I have tried frothing hot and cold creamer, half and half, and heavy cream. I like to go low carb so just a little bit of heavy cream goes a long way! The frothing attachment is easy to remove and can be thrown in the dishwasher or easily cleaned under your faucet in the sink. I probably won't use it much, but it's neat to have especially if I have company over and I can offer something a little special like a barista would. Lol! The last suggestion for Ninja engineers is to offer a “fancy” version of this (and other), kitchen appliances. This unit is mostly plastic, as most things are these days. I would be willing to pay double the amount for the same design but in stainless steel – like a high end cappuccino / espresso machine. Overall, I give this a solid Five Stars!

It takes up very little space on the counter. It does so many different things, and it is very easy to use and clean. As a tip, use a disposable filter with the ground coffee. It makes cleaning the reusable pod so easy. The coffee is very hot and it's easy to control the strength. It also makes a great cappuccino or mocha. Love the built in frother. The price is very good for the value, especially if you watch for a sale. I should have ditched the better know brand years ago. The Ninja makes much better coffee.

I've been testing the new Ninja PB051 Single-Serve Specialty Coffee Maker for about a week. I tested it using pods, coffee grounds, and the milk frother. Overall, I love it. The best feature of this machine is that it can brew regular coffee grounds in a single serving. This means that the only reason I would have to buy the pods is to avoid cleaning out the grounds filter. The grounds filter is also extremely easy to clean. Whether I use pods or the grounds filter, the Ninja always performs phenomenally. The coffee it produces consistently tastes great and comes out of the machine hotter and faster than any other single-serve coffee machine I've ever tested. If I had to choose which tasted better, I would say it was the grounds filter. The milk frother also performed well. It did a great job of heating up the milk and making it creamy. Other things I loved about the Ninja are: The water reservoir is nice and large, which reduces the amount of times I have to fill it. There is a hidden storage drawer for the filter that is not in use. The controls are extremely simple. With that said, I highly recommend the Ninja PB051 Single-Serve Specialty Coffee Maker. You won't be disappointed.

As someone who has owned this Ninja coffee maker for over a year, I can confidently say it's been a great investment. The ability to use both pods and grounds gives me the flexibility to choose my favorite beans or opt for the convenience of K-Cups. The milk frother is a fantastic feature, creating smooth and creamy foam for my favorite coffee drinks. The machine itself is easy to clean and maintain, and the design is sleek and modern. If you're in the market for a single-serve coffee maker, I highly recommend giving this Ninja a try.

My kitchen is slowly being taken over by Ninja appliances. This is because I have yet to find one that doesn't exceed my expectations. Short version: This coffee maker works great, is easy to maintain (so far), and is thoughtfully made. It works with ground coffee or K-Cups and is the best single-serve machine I have found. I highly recommend it! The longer version: So far in my experience Ninja makes superior coffee to other mainstream brands that cost below $200; the temperatures are perfect and the coffee tastes great. The water tank holds a great amount of water where it doesn't need refilled constantly and where it doesn't take up too much space. It is removeable so you can easily take it to the sink to refill it. The whole area where the coffee is made is easily removable and easy to clean. There is a spoon to measure coffee grounds that shows how much to use based on how big of a cup you are using. It has storage on the side of the machine. The mechanism that switches between grounds and k-cups is stored in the bottom of the machine! I don't have to find drawer/cabinet space to store it or potentially use it when I don't use the K-Cups for too long. Very thoughtful design. The drip tray can be moved to different heights to help prevent splashing. Has a removable (for easy cleaning) frother. Not something I will really use, but it is a nice touch. I honestly have no complaints. Especially for the price point of this machine.

I'll start by saying, I absolutely love this brewer! I've had an all in one for about 3 yrs that I've been looking to replace lately. It had the frother and multiple options for brew strength or iced. But the footprint was fairly large, wide specifically. This Ninja brewer contains all options I prior had, while also adding in a permanent filter for grounds or Kcups, whichever one you aren't using stores beautifully in the side. It's also so slim, albeit a little long in depth, but this design works perfect for what I want. I rarely used my prior frother, maybe a few times a month, but it was something I still wanted and didn't want an extra piece of hardware to hide aware somewhere. This model has it flip out and just pushing the button on top it works great. This Ninja brewer has an adjustable mug deck, so as to accommodate all varying sizes of cups/travel mugs. It also has a good variation on brew size, for Kcups, 6, 8, 10, 12oz. For grounds, it does all the way up to 24oz in a single brew. It also includes a measuring spoon for your grounds that is built into the side of the machine as well. Water capacity is fantastic and easy to refill by either removing the top or the container as a whole. All this while also being easily cleanable with dishwasher safe parts, which is soooo important if you want consistently good tasting coffee. I enjoy my coffee strong, and this didn't disappoint with its "Rich" setting. You also have the ability to brew stronger 4oz shots for use in lattes/cappuccinos, as well as a specific "iced" coffee option. My only gripe is the lid to open and close does feel a bit rough to open at times, like I might pull to hard and flip it over, or push down to hard and cracks something. The puncture needles are only plastic, compared to some models being actual metal, so we'll see how it holds up from after a hundred Kcups. Hoping the motion improves, I suppose that might be the one area my prior Cafe brewer wins out, as it's mechanism used opposing leverage points to ease the closing. Overall though, this is a fantastic brewer with all the options, and you can tell Ninja put great thought into it's design/function, which I absolutely love.
