Don't Buy if Your Skin is Brown

I purchased this to replace a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 which was having compatibility issues with Mac iOS 14.4 (intermittent glitching). This cam was unable to render my skin tone accurately no matter how I adjusted the settings (using Logitech's app or others). I have a pro LED 3 point light kit set at 5600K, so poor lighting was not causing the problem. I returned this webcam asap. I solved the C920 issue by connecting it to my computer via a Thunderbolt dock, btw, so need to hunt for another webcam for now.

Solid HD Webcam and a Great Value

The Logitech Brio 300 is a great webcam, especially when factoring in the value. Much like how even a simple soundbar can improve drastically upon a TVs built-in speakers, a simple external webcam can make a resounding difference compared to built-in laptop webcams. In this case, the Brio 300 provides a full HD resolution coupled with features like auto-light correction, noise reduction microphone, Logi Tune app support for custom image calibrations, and a privacy shutter for when not using the webcam. In all of these regards, the Brio 300 succeeds well. The picture is crystal clear, the auto lighting works great for cleaning-up dim light situations, and built-in mic works well. If you want to sound your best however, I still would absolutely recommend getting a dedicated microphone, as this won’t make you sound nearly as good as it can make you look. I really only had one gripe with this webcam, and that is the actual mounting mechanism. It doesn’t really tighten or feel very secure on your monitor. The hinge is flexible, which should allow it to work with a wide variety of monitors (in my case an Ultrawide Monitor), and because of the looser fit, you can move the webcam easily up and down and side to side without much issue. However, I also wouldn’t trust it to not fall off if bumped or shaken in any way. In most cases, this isn’t an issue, but could be worth noting if you have kids or animals that tend to run into your desk a lot. Honestly, I don’t think it is much of an issue. The webcam itself is very light, and while it feels a bit “cheaper” that is more down to the use of recycled plastic than anything else. The size is good, without being too large, and overall I have had no issues with software, or hardware, in my time with the webcam. I primarily use Microsoft Teams, and the webcam has integrated seamlessly. Really no complaints here with overall usability. All-in-all, if you are looking for an easy way to upgrade our laptop web-cam, without breaking the bank, you can’t do much better than the Brio 300.

1080p Webcam with Noise Cancelling Microphone

Video conferencing - whether you love it or hate it - is here to stay. Many of us are working in hybrid environments where we have to meet with co-workers, clients or vendors on a video call. Teams, Google Chat, Zoom, etc have all been adding features and enhancements to make these calls better. Many laptops come with a built in webcam. The problem is in order to use it, the laptop has to be open and if you have multiple monitors this isn't always ideal. If it is open, where do you look? I have old eyes so I have to move my video conference over to my 27" monitor, but then I'm not looking at the camera. Ugh. Time for a webcam upgrade - enter the Logitech Brio 300. 1080p for high quality video Noise cancelling microphone for better sound Built-in privacy shutter when you don't want anyone sneaking a peak USB-C for simple one cable install The install is super simple. Logitech uses a genius designed mount for the webcam that allows it to be installed on nearly any monitor. After that, run the cable to your device. I'm running Windows 11 and it was immediately picked up and ready for use. You will likely have to adjust the settings in your video conference software to use the Brio. Video quality is noticeably better as I had several co-workers mention it. For $60 it's well worth the money for those of us who spend any significant time on video calls. I love that I can position the webcam anywhere and not being locked in to a specific place as with the built-in.

    High Definition Visuals and Sound

The Logitech Brio 300 Webcam – Graphite is a professional quality Webcam that does not take you to the bank for a hundred dollars or more, while providing a high definition video picture with sharp and clear sound. When I first plugged the Logitech Brio 300 Webcam – Graphite into my computers USB C connector, there was no response on my screen. I then downloaded Logi Tune and opened it and the light came on the Brio 300. I was instructed to install the available new firmware update. Under the label my devices, a small screen opened up showing Brio 300 was connected. The Logi Tune app lets me make adjustments on exposure, gain, white balance, brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness. Also there are filters that change the look of the video from bright, blossom, forest, film, Glaze, and mono B. I made a video call to my Granddaughter In-law to test the quality on the other end. She told me that the video pixilation does not drag from side to side as my previous Webcam video did. The Full High Depth picture comes out crystal clear in 1080P. The sound does not give off that robotic metallic sound either. Vocals are clear and crisp and understandable with no negative feedback. She was so impressed on how I looked in the video that she asked if I could give it to my Grandson as a birthday surprise. The Logitech Brio 300 Webcam – Graphite is an impressive device to video call on.

This camera is exactly as advertised. I popped it on top of my monitor (since I prefer to use my laptop on clamshell mode when docked), plugged it in and easily set it up. Teams video calls worked perfectly. Quality seemed good to co-workers on the other end. Microphone picked up well too, even at ~3-4 feet away. I also plugged this into my Mac Mini and it set up and worked perfectly as well. Nice to be able to FaceTime with my kids on the large monitor. The little rotating lens cover is really nice. Easy access for on/off and no worries about someone spying on you ;) Little LED indicator lights up when app is using it. Definitely recommended!

Perfect Choice For High Audio and Video Fidelity

I have found myself needing to do more video conferencing as of late, so I decided to get this camera instead of relying on my lower resolution laptop camera. I am very happy that I did because the difference in audio and video quality is a night and day improvement. I will be using this camera exclusively now for all of my video conferencing needs. The 1080P resolution really makes a difference when compared to the 720P resolution cameras in my laptops. But as important is the high fidelity noise reducing microphone. This mic effectively suppresses background noise and allows sounds to be transmitted loud and clear. Much clearer than any of my laptops. Installation was easy as it is completely plug and play. The camera sits securely on the top of the monitor using the built in stand. Once connected go into the camera settings of Windows, select the Brio 300, and it is ready to go. It has an attached USB-C cable and Logitech recommends connecting it directly to your computer. However I connected it to my hub via a USB-C to USB-A adapter, and it worked perfectly. One thing I noticed is that if you are using Windows Hello for facial recognition, my laptop defaults to the internal laptop camera. This is likely a security measure, and I could not find a way to change this. This is not a problem for me though, because I am using this camera for video conferencing exclusively. The Logi Tune App is available if you want to fine tune the camera settings. The App works well, but I found that out of the box the camera is properly configured. Also Windows has available settings to adjust the camera settings. I highly recommend the Logitech Brio 300! Its high audio and video fidelity quality make it a perfect choice..

Solid Webcam at a Value Price

The Logitech Brio 300 is a remarkable 1080p webcam that produces a great image at a value price. This webcam offers a full HD 1080p image that offers solid resolution to your meeting group. It also offers mono noise reduction making your audio very clear and understandable. The Brio 300 includes automatic light correction. Comparing it to my previous webcam, the Brio 300 made my available light look brighter than it actually was. If you need privacy, the Brio 300 has a rotating lens cover that turns the lens off when you are not actually using the webcam. No need to worry about accidentally opening yourself up to others. I do have a few negatives. Although the hinge on the webcam can be moved to almost any direction, there is no firm contact if you are installing it on a monitor. I would have preferred a rock-solid way to attach the Brio 300 so I would not have to worry if it would fall off. Installation was a breeze: just plug the webcam's USB-C cable into your device or hub and you are good to go. My other complaint is that I wish Logitech would have included a manual to give the owner more detailed information. Of course, you can go on Logitech's site for more info. With more devices like the Brio 300 webcam, they use USB-C cables. Be sure you have the proper connector to attach the webcam to your computer. You can pay a lot more money for a professional webcam, but you can't beat the features you get for the price on this device making it a solid value.

Dreams Really Do Come True! Cam w/Privacy Shutter

I own a couple of Logitech web cameras, one of which is excellent, and another which is sub par at best. Was hoping this one would be great, and my wish came true. Picture quality was great and everyone I spoke with said they could hear me crystal clear. In particular, the lighting adjustment was on par with the better of my other two Logitech web cams, and displayed my visage perfectly even with nothing but dim natural light on a dark rainy day. The swiveling privacy shutter is great, and the camera is easy to adjust. This is a plug & play device that loaded very quickly on my laptop after plugging it in. Although I had a table fan on, everyone I spoke with said they could only here my voice when I spoke, so the sound filtering works great. I did not try adjusting any of the settings with the app, primarily because everything worked so well out the box that I didn't feel the need to try the app. Could not be happier with this device, and will be replacing the sub par web camera with this one! Now I just need to decide whether to use this for home or office. Highly recommend to anyone needing a web camera for any reason. Fantastic product.

Logitech Brio 300 Webcam The Logitech Brio 300 Webcam is an affordable webcam that is easy to set-up and use. It comes with a generous 5 ft. cable with a USB C connector ( no USB C to USB A connector provide so plan accordingly). Small and clean looking with 1080P resolution and has a Privacy slider. The mount isn’t a standard mount and it is not really a clamp and isn’t fully adjustable. The camera can’t be rotated or adjusted and isn’t good at hooking to thin type edges like are on a lot of laptops but it can be adjusted to a degree for up and down. The picture is decent for professional call or casual steams a 2MP camera using Full HD resolution and a 70° field of view. Though it only has a 30fps refresh rate it should be adequate for its intended use. There is no autofocus or head tracking. The Logi Tune software is good at adjusting the Picture. In settings with a dark room with ambient lighting mixed with the monitor light the picture is much softer and noisier. The microphone is relatively clear but it may be a little too sensitive. While testing I noted that my voice was easy to hear with no muffling but it does catch some echo. I prefer using a headset to eliminate these problems and have a better audio experience. This is a decent low cost webcam that is simple to setup and use even though it has some limitations.

Great General Purpose Webcam for Video Calls

While I have a webcam on my laptop, I don't always have my laptop open since I utilize docks at home and at the office. I have several Logitech webcams I've used over the years and this Logitech Brio 300 performs great among them. For some reason, I thought this camera was going to be bigger from the initial pictures that I saw. I'm glad I was mistaken. The camera portion is about 50 millimeters in diameter and about 42 millimeters in depth not counting the stand or cable. If you're counting the stand, it's about 50 millimeters again. The cable is non-removable from the camera, about 60 inches in length and is a USB-C type cable. Unfortunately, with my setup, that cable wasn't quite long enough to reach the USB-C ports on my desktop computer. However, I was able to purchase USB-C to USB-C female to female adapter for pretty cheap and able to use any of my USB-C to either USB-C or USB-A cables (as long as they are data rated) to extend with enough length to reach my desktop. The camera also features a rotating shutter for privacy and a nice bright white light for when it is on. The camera stand has a decent amount of articulation in two joints to help it hold onto a wide range of monitor thicknesses. The camera also has its own joint that allows it to tilt up and down by about 60-75 degrees. The camera does not rotate from side to side. The stand is also missing a tripod mount which I think it unfortunate. The quality out of the box is quite impressive. I found the picture to be crisp for a 1080 webcam. The audio isn't fantastic, but I normally just use my headset to provide a little privacy. Low light performance of this camera is very good compared to some of the cheap cameras I've come across. This Brio 300 is compatible with multiple video conferencing platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. It is well suited for my work calls. On my own PC, where I can freely install any software, I was able to install LogiTune to adjust the settings of the Brio 300. From the LogiTune App, you can adjust the Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness and turn on Auto Exposure, Auto Light Compensation, Auto White Balance and Anti-flicker. There are also a small amount of filters. One of the draws to the LogiTune App is the ability to connect to your digital calendar in order to manage meetings and meeting notifications from the LogiTune App. However, I'm a bit disappointed in the Preview controls within the LogiTune App. It's a rather small window, especially on a 4K monitor. The preview image comes to be about 2 inches tall and less than 4 inches wide. That's not enough to really see how your image adjustments are making a difference. I think all the above features make the Logitech Brio 300 a great general purpose webcam. Since the LogiTune lacks some maturity and the mount lacks some flexibility, I don't feel this is the best option for Streamers.

This webcam does what it is supposed to do. It is small form but as you can see, it is cone-shaped (as opposed to the usual flat-ish rectangle. It also has a cap that you swing around upwsrds to free the camera. When you want camera privacy, just swing it back down. It has the usual clip to put it on your monitor. It has a cable with a usb-c on the end. Also if you want to just sit it on your dek or table at the height you need it, you can use it that way as well. It doesn't matter as long as you plug it in. This webcam is plug-n-play. Easy peasy. The receiver (laptop, desktop or docking statiion) just needs a usb-c port. That's it. Most laptops now come with a webcam but if you work with your laptop closed (maybe because you have connected an external monitor) then this webcam will come in handy. If you have a laptop and work with it open but keep it off to the side somewhere, then same thing, this webcam will come in handy. The video and integrated mic/speakers work well. I can be heard well and I can be seen clearly. It can also adjust for low light which is also helpful. I use it for Zoom and Teams communications and meetings regularly. You can also download and install the logitech software, LogiTunes to do more adjustments for quality. It's a good little webcam and I would recommend it.

I picked up this camera because I needed a better quality camera than what I have been using, but didn't need to break the bank for it. I have mani logitec mice and keyboards and they always work well, so this was an easy pick. I have been using video conferencing about 5 hours a week vs like 1 or 2 hours in the previous years because my job assignment has changed. I was tired having to reposition my old camera each time to get it to focus and have the adjust things to grt the right lighting. This camera adjust quickly to crisp up the view in lower lighting situations. It connected very easily to my computer and the sound and video were recognized right away when selected. The logi tune app has good features to adjust color, and can adjust image quality, but I don't use it that often. I set it to the best settings and just let it go. Users on the other end initially had to get used to seeing me clearer. The sound is also clear and I have no complaints from others when I'm using this. Overall I'm very pleased with this and would reccomend it for purchase to friends and family.

In my work-from-home setup, complete with dual widescreen monitors attached to my laptop, I was always having to turn my head to review information on a big screen. Since my webcam is built into the laptop, this meant my audience was always looking at the side of my face, plus, I wasn't speaking *to* my audience when I was presenting. I wanted to get something that could be mounted on one of my widescreens so I could simultaneously face the camera and still have my information in front of me, so I got the Logitech Brio 300. Getting into the box was a challenge from the start. The packaging helpfully had sealing tape applied to the 2-way tab that keeps the box closed, but the set-up instructions are graphically printed on the box flaps. Tearing them was out of the question. Luckily, it's a simple USB-C plug; it's literally a 1-wire install. After retrieving the webcam, I then had to hunt down a USB-C port. I had a spare on my docking station, but I did experience a few moments of panic when I thought I had a product that wouldn't work with my setup. I would caution users to double check that they have this port, or some type of adapter to a different port. And that was it! Once plugged in, it simply started working. I didn't get the usual "your device is being installed" messaging, but I did start to see that cam as an option in my conferencing software. The picture is phenomenal, and I've had several people comment about how clear and detailed it is. It's so clear, I've had moments where I thought, "is that what I look like?" One of the downsides, though, is that there's a bright LED on the front of the camera. I'm not sure if this is to illuminate me for a better picture, or if the aperture of the camera is deep enough into the case that it creates its own shadows and needs additional light. Whatever the case, it's definitely a bright white light that is more distracting than not. My biggest complaint, however, is the mounting. There's a lip on the base that's designed to hook over the top of the monitor screen to keep it from falling backwards, and an adjustable "leg" with a wide pad on the bottom to prop it against the back of the monitor. And that's it. There's nothing to actually secure the camera. If the leg were spring loaded maybe, it would create some tension to keep the camera in place. But, each time I go to flip up the lens privacy cover, I'm always afraid it's going to fall, which would be extremely distracting at the worst possible time. The thing didn't work, at all, on my curved monitor, as there was no place for that padded portion to actually grip. Each adjustment made the camera front-heavy, and it did continue to fall forward. I ended up with it mounted on my non-curved monitor, but, as stated, there's not a lot of confidence that it will remain there. Overall, it's one of the best webcam pictures I've ever seen, so if that's what you're after, this one is hard to beat. But, if you don't need any more distractions, the bright light on the front of the casing, and the extremely loose mounting will probably just add to it.

Very good camera in this price range. Out of the box experience was less than expected, but after visiting the Logitech website and reading through their material, I found that you also need to download Logi Tunes. I found it only after looking up the Brio 300 and scrolling down to a panel that talked about downloading this additional software. There is a link in the box describing the free software. At first, I tried to do a search from the main website and it returned zero webpages, so you will have to dig a little. Once I downloaded the software and clicked on the camera, it said an update was available. I waited for the update to finish (about a minute) and then you have a control panel that really opens up the capabilities of this little gem. There are several preset scenes from bright to cinema to black and white. I left mine on the standard setting and it made a world of difference from the just the out of the box camera settings. There are many other settings to make nearly infinite adjustments and eventually I will get around to playing with them to tweak them a bit. But for now, this software package makes the difference between a two star and a five star rating. Audio is very good for a camera in this price range, but is not as good as my Logitech Blue microphone and I did not expect it to be. For everyday conference use, the clarity is good, it does a good job of suppressing background noise, and everyone says I sound almost as good as through my expensive microphone. Really good performance both audio and video. Not sure how they managed that in a package as compact and inexpensive as this one. For conferencing use and everyday communications, this is a real winner, especially at this price point. You will not be disappointed.

This Logitech webcam has made working from home with multiple computers so much easier. I unfortunately use both a laptop, and a desktop that was in desperate need of a webcam. I have been a Logitech fan for what feels like forever, and this webcam is no different. As with any webcam, there is always the anxiety that the camera is on and you do not realise it, but this webcam has a little light built in to warn you if it is on or not. In addition to the light, the fact that it has a built-in shutter for the camera for the extra peace of mind. Compared to my coworkers' cameras, most of which are MacBooks or Mac Airs, the quality of this Logitech camera is much better, but I wouldn’t say it would be ideal for more than video conferencing or simple work matters. The microphone does the job, it is a little too sensitive as it catches sounds from the house that I would prefer it to cancel out. My one complaint is the overall look/finish of the cameras design. The black plastic "speckle" looks awful, when I unboxed it I tried to get dust off of it, but realised it wasn't dust. It just looks not look clean as it sits on the computer. Overall, this is a great webcam though if you’re just doing day to day work conferencing, etc. I would not recommend it for content creation.

With my employer requesting us to be back in the office for a couple days a week, I had a dilemma- how do I replicate my super-comfortable and custom WFH set-up once I go back to the office?!? I've become accustomed to two monitors and not having to use my tiny laptop screen for anything (an issue given both size and brightness- neither which help my now-reading-glasses required eyes). I needed a standalone webcam and the Logitech - Brio 300 1920x1080p USB-C Webcam really fits the bill! The hardest part of the set up was simply figuring out how to re-configure my monitors & inputs to take advantage of the only USB-C port on the laptop... not really an issue (though if you are USB-C port constrained, just think through how that will all work.) Once it's plugged in, the Logitech - Brio 300 1920x1080p USB-C Webcam worked flawlessly on the very first meeting I used it for & I received zero comments that anything seemed different in terms of video or sound on the (too) many video calls I've been in since!

This camera was easy to set up and worked out of the box as expected. (Make sure you have a USB-C port before buying this.) The picture quality seems to be good. The only drawback is a lack of control over the built-in white LED light, which is very bright. This is not only annoying to have shining into my eyes, but it can also cause the image to be over-bright when combined with screen glow or ambient light in the room. I have covered the light with tape to reduce the glare.

    Passable For Video Conferencing

The Logitech Brio 300's focus is on video conferencing, where it does okay but is not really suited for anything more, such as content creation. The Brio 300 is certified for video conferencing platforms such as MS Team, Zoom or Google Meet, but it's limited capabilities prevent it from being adequate for more. It isn't compatible with Windows Hello, so if you want to unlock your PC with facial recognition, look elsewhere. The Brio 300 captures 1080p video at 30 frames per second and offers a 70 degree field of view, which is fine for videoconferencing, but for more flexibility you'll want a webcam this has a sharper, smoother result. The Logi Tune companion app for Windows and Mac pops up a small configuration window in the corner of the screen and offers a some picture settings and a few filters, but lacks much else. It does have a handy feature that lets you connect your Google or Outlook calendar to display upcoming video calls on your schedule. While the camera is 1080p, it's hardly impressive. I found that the picture was noisy, and appeared over processed. Color was off, and while some improvement was found by playing with the settings, it was still underwhelming. Overall it's usable for videoconferencing, but noisy, over processed video and an overly sensitive microphone that sound echoey keep it from being much else.
