Ninja hot cold XL coffee maker
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a real coffee maker and it’s not too expensive like most are and it’s relatively easy to use from the get go! And it has a measuring spoon on the side for perfectly measuring how many scoops of coffee grounds to use and it has a warming burner to keep the coffee hot what’s not to love and you can set it to go off at any time! And it is made well! I just with is had a metal coffee pot and not a glass pot glass breaks too easily if dropped! I like their metal carafes better! Although if they just made the glass pot thicker that would be good too.

A Nicely Done Updated Coffee Pot That Does Tricks!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.{TLDR: Really nice machine if you need a drip maker or volume but you would also like to have Iced Coffee and Cold Brew Abilities at your fingertips. A well made machine that is well done and refined ...and works great!) If you are in need of a standard drip coffee pot but you like coffee a little more than the average person then this brewer will keep you happy. I rarely drink drip coffee anymore since getting an automatic espresso machine that also makes “by the cup” regular brew also but that is also why I wanted to give this 12 CUP machine a “shot.” See what I did there? When I have company, it is a pain to brew each cup one at a time for multiple people! The more important reason being that summers here in the south are very hot and my quad-espresso survival fuel becomes hard to deal with after a certain time of year and I found myself switching up and asking the barista for cold brews to supplement my daily espresso drink. I found cold brew is smoother, sweeter, more mellow but still great flavor notes and generally goes down easier and I never get heartburn or indigestion with cold brews. Getting my survival fuel from a barista daily, as you can imagine, can be VERY Expensive so I started my self training to become my own barista, at home! Thus my waning countertop space. However, this machine is a welcomed asset to my line up and my countertops are starting to look like a chain coffee house at this point but if I was “normal” I can see this fitting really nicely on my counter as my only machine. I really like the removable water reservoir and lid and I love the machine overall and all the little things they designed into it like the measuring spoon on the side that sits in its own little recess and is easy to grab and put back on. This machine looks similar to a ton of the machines NINJA has released in the past, all with their own set of features and this one focuses on COLD BREW as its “bonus feature.” The cold brew function is perfect for people like me who are impatient and always on the move and also, flexible in the way my cold brew is prepared. By that I mean this machine doesn’t do cold brew in the traditional sense with cold or room temperature water over an extended time of up to 24 hours but instead does some really neat tricks to REALLY CLOSELY MIMIC that traditional cold brew taste and experience, including the lack of heartburn! It starts with a warm to hot blooming and lets that soak the coffee grinds, then after a pause it injects more water but less warm and then pauses for soaking and extraction again and does this over and over until it is finished and most of the brew process by my thermometer takes place in the high 90 degree mark after the initial 150-130 degree pre-wet and bloom. This produces a “cold brew” that is VERY close to the taste of a traditional cold brew process and doesn’t produce that “drip brew that’s been in the fridge” taste and texture. It is smooth and sweet just like a “traditional” cold brew and I have no idea how, why or the science behind it but NINJA figured out a work around to get me large quantities of cold brew in about 20 minutes instead of 24 hours!!! The “over ice” feature works similarly as drip, because that is what Iced coffee is. It just reduces the volume of water per the size selection you choose on the machine to accommodate for the cup being full of ice already. So a more concentrated brew same amount of grinds used for a hot brew of the same cup size. I put a cup full to the top with ice under it on the little flip down arm that holds it or directly on the warming plate if it is a bigger cup or tumbler and set it to brew and the perfect amount and brew comes out every time. No spills, no mess, just a perfect cup of iced coffee every time. I have filled different sized cups to the tippy top with ice trying to get the machine to fail and every time it is perfect when I come back to check on it after I hear the beep that it is finished. The warming plate is smart and only comes on when brewing a carafe size selection in a hot brew modes. So there is no fuss and the machine is set up correctly for ease of use by the end user. The warming plate can be programmed to 3 different temps depending on your preference and can also be set to auto turn off at the time that you want from 15 minutes after the brew is done to 6 hours later. I really like that they set it up like that because I can set it to medium or low for several hours and the coffee still tastes fresh and not burnt due to the carafe also has a brew through cover on it and it prevents evaporation over time like a standard coffee pot does. So if you like to brew and let the pot sit for hours before you get to another cup or until you are done with it THIS is the brewer you need. The warming plate can be turned on to reheat the pot after it has been off for a period of time just by pressing the “warm” button. All the parts come off and are easy to clean and the machine even has a built-in descaler program that you can use with a descaling solution or white vinegar. That is awesome in a residential unit! I can program it to brew at a specific time so coffee is ready to go before I am and then if I forget to shut off the machine when I run out of the house the, I have the piece of mind to know the machine will turn off on it own shortly after I made my realization that I forgot something. “COLD BREW” VS. “OVER ICE” ….Cold Brew Brews using more grinds (personal preference) and at a reduced temperature and compensates the liquid amount so there is a perfect amount for each vessel size on the dial. Even the initial “bloom” liquid is cooler than the “over ice” process. The Over Ice is basically the standard brew with a reduced output because it compensates automatically for the cup size selected having ice in it. Classic Brew introduces a “bloom” and pauses then gives half a cup, pauses again to soak/extract to most from the grinds and then flows the remainder of the drink. “Rich” does the same at a slightly higher temp and gives a longer duration of soaking and blooming between stages and finishes off with slightly less volume to make a richer cup of coffee. I like this setting best because it brews a great taste (I like strong coffee, hence my espresso “problem”) that is full bodied and nutty and leaves me “with room” for cream & sugar or Syrups and sauces. While this will not replace my espresso machine, it will save me a ton of money over the summer on Cold Brews and now I have the option to also have “over ice” when I am in the mood AND now I can brew full pots for when I have people over instead of making individual cups one at a time for them. This is a great little machine and I have been very happy with everything NINJA that I own and have zero issues with their stuff. The machine does a great job and it is SIMPLE to do whatever I want with it and it is easy to clean. Win-Win in my book. I would recommend this to others, in fact, I already told my cousin she should get one because she is just like me with the coffee issues and she likes Cold Brew and Iced Coffees. This one does a great job no matter what function it is told to do. Two Thumbs up! I genuinely like this brewer!

Easiest/Cleanest way to brew cold or hot coffee
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using this coffee machine every morning for the past week or so to make myself a cup of ice coffee before I leave for work. It’s so convenient and easy to use. I really like that it has the option to make a hot brew also. I’ve been on a cold coffee binge for a while so it’s what I mainly use it for. It includes a permanent filter which I’ve been using to make my coffee. I drop in 2 scoops of my coffee grounds of choice, and then put my 20 oz travel mug in the machine with a cup full of ice to make my coffee. Iced coffee takes about a minute to brew, the cold brew option takes about 10 minutes or so to make. The iced coffee comes out so flavorful that even my gf likes it. She doesn’t really care for coffee but she’s really liked the way this machine makes my coffee. It’s also very easy to clean up. I’m not sure what you call the part, but the coffee filter sits inside of a plastic container that you can pull out when it’s time to clean it and everything stays put inside of that. So my counter or machine never get dirty with coffee or coffee grounds. The machine has various brew settings, it can brew 1 8oz cup of you want or a whole full carafe that comes included. As a coffee lover, this brewer will save me a bunch of time and money. If you love coffee, I highly recommend this machine.

A Versatile Brewing Powerhouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a long-time user of Ninja products, I'm consistently impressed by the quality and innovation they bring to the table. The Ninja XL Coffee Maker is no exception. Before we added this machine to our kitchen, we were mainly making coffee using a French Press. Now, this Ninja Coffee Maker has become an indispensable part of our daily routine. Setting up the Ninja XL was a breeze. After removing the packaging and shipping tape, I rinsed the parts off and then ran a test cycle to make sure that my first brew was flavorful and not stale tasting. Ninja made sure the buttons were clearly labeled and provided the option for users to brew a single cup, a travel cup, or a pot. This type of versatility is something I really appreciate with a coffee maker. One of the reasons I started using a French Press over a standard coffee pot was because I hate using filters. This Ninja Coffee Maker includes a ‘forever’ filter, which eliminates the need for disposable filters. It’s washable, reusable and makes the process so much easier in my opinion. I also really like that the coffee maker comes with its own scoop. I hate having to search for one after I lose it. The coffee maker is programmable and allows users to pre-schedule brews. I also really like the removable water supply and the swing-out coffee ground holder because it makes it so much easier to clean. I haven’t been much of a cold brew person, but I did start using the included recipes to see how they worked and found that it was really good and I really enjoy having the option for either hot or cold coffee drinks at home. The Ninja XL Coffee Maker offers a winning combination of versatility, convenience, and quality. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or simply looking for a reliable brewing solution, I wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Easy, flavorfull brews.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This relatively simple Ninja setup enables good coffee and very tasty cold brews with easy instructions included. I tried making cold brew following one of their recommended cold brew recipes and I was pleased with the taste. Cold brews take a little longer, so be patient as the machine slowly and periodically pours out the coffee. The nice thing is it has a progress indicator (dashes) so you get an idea how long it'll take. Took it about 5 mins or so to drip an 18oz brew. For hot coffee, the warm feature on the burner plate can keep your coffee warm without burning it (like traditional machines). The drip stop feature enables you to keep that burner plate clean. The carafe is thin glass, so be careful handling it. The built-in straw makes the coffee drip evenly into it. Included is the measuring spoon (2 sided) for accurate preparation. I'd just say that, to me, the recommended coffee ratios come out slightly weak, but that can be adjusted. No filters needed with the included filter screen, but it does take them if you prefer. Overall, I'm satisfied with the results amd recommend this Ninja Coffee maker.

A Little Too Good for My Own Good
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can honestly say that I am thoroughly enjoying every cup of coffee from this Ninja coffee maker. A little too much actually, I am drinking more coffee than I probably should. I have tried every type of coffee it can make, from regular hot coffee in both classic and rich modes, iced, and cold brew. I do not have a favorite because they all come out so smooth and delectable. Setting it up was simple. Besides washing all of the washable components, all I had to do was plug it in and have it do a full brew cycle with only water to rinse off any remaining factory residue. The coffee maker comes with a carafe that can brew up to 12 cups, a tank with measurements, a permanent filter, and a smart scoop. The carafe comes with a brew-through lid that has a stem leading down into the carafe, preventing heat loss during the brew process. I feel that it truly works because my coffees are piping hot when I serve them. They are not as piping hot when I have it brew into a regular cup unless I prewarm the cup. The smart scoop included is such a great addition, it takes the guesswork out of adding ground coffee into the filter by depicting the recommended scoops to add depending on how much coffee you are making. There is a a built-in notch on the side of the coffee maker to store the scoop. The display shows the time when not actively brewing. When brewing, the machine has a meter that shows how far it is along in its brew cycle. Once done, a few faint beeps will let you know you can grab your coffee. It has a delay option as well that can be preset up to 24 hours in advanced. The warming plate is customizable and can be set to low, medium, or hot depending on how much heat is desired for the remaining coffee to sit at. The time the warming plate remains hot can also be customized. Incorporated into the filter holder is a “drip stop” mechanism that allows the flow to stop dripping out. It is such a useful component to quickly pour a cup before the machine has finished brewing. The quality of every cup of coffee I have made is magnificent. Everyone I have made coffee for has commented on how smooth and delicious it is. The hot coffee brews surprisingly quick, even larger batches. The cold brew and iced coffee, which neither I nor my husband normally cared for before now, is so good that we both have an extra cup in the afternoon now. The cold brew takes a few minutes longer than the iced, but it really is quite the experience. The whole machine vibrates as it makes it in slow increments that result in a rich, full-bodied flavor. The instructions state that a full cup of ice to be placed in a heat-safe cup and the brew cools as it drips into it. Once finished, about half the ice will be melted and you end up with ice cold cup of coffee. The large removable water tank comes with measurements that allow you to know where to fill it according to how much you would like to brew. There are 8 serving sizes to choose from and three categories: cup, travel mug, and carafe. Only the carafe option will activate the warming plate. I have noticed a discrepancy in the chosen ounces and actual output. The coffee maker tends to make more coffee than directed to. To give an example, when I choose the 16oz setting, I end up with a 20oz output. There are two main reasons this can be an issue. One, if you are making and using a cup instead of the carafe to brew, it will reach the top of the cup leaving no allowance for extra additions, such as milk, and may even potentially overflow. The manual explicitly tells you not to allow overflow or leaks around it because it may harm the machine, so that can be an issue. Two, the extra water ends up diluting the amount of coffee added resulting in a weaker brew. I have learned to circumvent this issue by just choosing a lower ounce setting when making a personal coffee. The only time this doesn’t work is when brewing for two because I have to make the lowest carafe setting so that the warming plate will turn on. This results in me having to use extra ground coffee and water plus the excess coffee sitting around tempting me. All things considered, I still think this coffee maker is absolutely worth it. I can deal with having extra coffee, although my jitters might say otherwise. I have piping hot coffee to warm me up on cold days and ice-cold coffee to cool me down on hot days. All of which satiate my tastes buds far more than any overpriced coffee chain option can. Ninja really nailed it with this coffee maker.

Ninja Quality, Impressive Cold Brew
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a former coffee fanatic (or caffeine fiend), I was excited to get my hands on the Ninja Hot & Iced XL Coffee Maker with Rapid Cold Brew. While I already own a Ninja coffee maker and appreciate the quality, the cold brew function on this model really drew me in. Cold brew in 10-20 minutes is what Ninja claims from this machine, which I was excited to test out. Unboxing and First Impressions The Ninja Hot & Iced XL boasts a sleek design and feels well-constructed. The carafe has the typical Ninja quality I would expect, and it also came well packaged, which is something I tend to be critical about. The unit is equipped to create coffee with various brew size options, from a single cup to a full carafe, making it perfect for solo coffee mornings or gatherings. The controls are delightfully straightforward, with a knob for selecting the brew size and buttons for choosing the brew style (classic, rich, over ice, or cold brew). There's also a built-in scooper cleverly tucked into the side of the unit, a feature I truly appreciate – no need to scramble around looking for where you last put your old scooper. Putting the Ninja Hot & Iced XL to the Test Following the simple instructions, I opted for a cold brew with ice in my mug. The machine allows you to adjust the number of ounces being brewed, so I started with a modest 8 ounces for my first test run. The cold brew function itself took about five or six minutes, which is significantly faster than the typical cold brew steeping process. I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. The resulting cold brew was smooth and surprisingly low in acidity, exactly as promised. There was a slight lukewarm temperature to the coffee itself as it dripped out, which initially had me questioning the "cold" part of the equation. However, the ice in my mug quickly addressed that, resulting in a refreshing and flavorful cold brew. A minor heads-up: I did experience a small spill during the cold brew process, even though the Ninja said the brewing cycle was complete. A quick wipe-down resolved the issue, but it's something to be mindful of when using this function for the first time. I would recommend engaging the drip stopper after your single serving is done brewing. I also tested doing a full pot of classic brewed hot coffee, comparing it against the Ninja coffee maker I already own. As expected, this brewer does a great job unlocking the true flavor of your coffee. For those who don’t know – the Ninja will first let out a small amount of very hot water to prep your coffee grounds for brewing, followed by waiting a minute. Techniques like this are used by baristas to bring out the full flavor of a given roast. The machine is also picky about how much hot water is released at once during the brewing process, which again, is supposed to mimic how a barista would carefully add controlled amounts of hot water to the coffee that they’re brewing. Notes Worth Remembering • The warmer can be set for up to two hours – great for chaotic mornings. • Ninja includes a high-quality metal-mesh reusable filter. It saves me money and hassle compared to buying those paper ones. • Be sure to follow Ninja's cleaning instructions to keep your new coffee maker running smoothly. Hard water can be tough on these machines! Final Word: Versatile! Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with the Ninja Hot & Iced XL Coffee Maker. The ability to brew a delicious cold brew in minutes is a true game-changer for hot summer days. Beyond the cold brew, the machine offers a variety of brewing options and sizes, making it highly versatile. Plus, the built-in scooper, removable reservoir, and included permanent filter add to the convenience factor. While there was a minor spill during the cold brew process, that issue is easily addressed by using the drip stopper and doesn't detract from the overall functionality of the machine. For coffee enthusiasts who enjoy both hot and cold brews, the Ninja Hot & Iced XL Coffee Maker with Rapid Cold Brew is a fantastic option. It delivers exceptional coffee quickly and conveniently, making it a great choice for busy mornings or relaxed weekends.

Matches My Kitchen Look and Makes Great Coffee
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great if you want 1 cup or an entire carafe of coffee. Things I like: -The reusable mesh filter is easy to clean. -The water storage on the side is very convenient -The build quality and the stainless steel match my SS GE Cafe appliances -The anti skid bottom keeps unit in place -The clock illumination is easy to read -Keep warm function is nice when you are doing other things and want to come back to a warm cup -The smart scoop is cool too and it attaches to the coffee maker so you won’t loose it -I got it to replace my wife’s tired old coffee maker -Delay function is nice touch Could of done better: -More stainless steel around the coffee maker instead of black plastic. -Included the cups shown on the box The wife loves it. House always smells good in the morning when it is brewing. Would have liked a second permanent filter. The included carafe looks a little generic. Would of been nice if the carafe had a silicone lined bottom so it could place it on the wood table without leaving any marks. I like that it doesn’t have touch screen buttons and that it has actual buttons.

Cold brew with confidence!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NINJA hot & iced XL Coffee maker with rapid cold brew has made fantastic coffee cold or hot. This is a simple-to-use coffee maker with easy settings. Rich and delicious brew came out perfect each time. There are 4 styles of brewing. Classic, Rich, Over ice, and cold brew. It makes 12 cups with the included glass carafe which sits nicely with the coffee maker. Setting it up where easy, comes with a filter and a scoop that sits flush. The water reservoir is quick to remove and easy to clean. So far I enjoyed the iced coffee and cold brew settings the most. It was pleasant having a rapid cold brew at home. Made a nice Carmel with a cream cold brew that put a smile on my face. Ninja did great with this product adding a single-cup foldaway platform. There is an intelligent warming plate that keeps the coffee hot for up to 4-hours. At the end of the day, I’m not disappointed with the offerings this coffee maker gives. I truly LOVE things that make life simple and this is a very easy & yet intelligent brew maker that doesn’t make things complicated. It does with it does best and that’s making coffee. The design language of Ninja products doesn’t hurt either. 5 out of 5 stars.

Great coffee maker and easy to use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received the Ninja XL coffee maker about a week ago and overall we love it. My wife is a big coffee drinker and usually has about 3-4 cups a day so this gets a good workout. The Ninja XL is really a breeze to get started. You fill the tank with enough water for the amount of coffee you plan to make, select the amount you are making, press Classic or Rich (stronger tasting coffee), and off it goes. When Classic is selected, the coffee comes out pretty quickly. The coffee takes a little longer in Rich mode. The iced coffee was relatively easy to make. We filled the carafe with ice and selected Classic style for the brew type and let it run. Very straight-forward. If you are making just one cup, there is pull out stand to pour directly into a cup or mug also. One nice feature that we really liked was the ability to stop the flow at any time. Our previous coffee maker would stop when you pulled out the carafe, but some extra would always drip on the heating tray. With the slide stop on the Ninja, no coffee drips on the heating tray...much better for keeping it clean. One of the challenges with this coffee maker is that the it doesn't go by standard cups, and instead uses custom sizes. For example, a "Small Cup" is 8.5 oz, "Cup" is 9.5 oz, "Travel Mug" is 14 oz, etc. However, the machine shows ounces so you have to either memorize the conversion to standard cups or keep the instruction manual close by at the beginning. You get used to your normal amount pretty quickly, but need to look back at the manual when you have company for a large batch. Overall, we really love this coffee machine. There are additional features that our old maker didn't have, so more experimenting over the next couple of weeks. I would highly recommend this coffee maker.

Must have coffee machine
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Ninja Coffee maker is an upgrade for us. My wife and I have been using the CF087 ninja coffee bar for the last 8 years. One thing we do like better on our old coffee maker was the cord management feature…the new machine has no cord management so any excess cord will just dangle behind or outside the back of the machine (photo attached.) The new coffee maker is also slightly larger than the CF087 unit, so my wife had to Fung Shui (move a few of our other ninja appliances around in) the kitchen to make a new spot for the new coffee maker. The Ninja Hot & Iced XL coffee maker was packaged very well. All individual components were covered in plastic or protected with cardboard so that they did not rub or crash into during shipping. The measuring scoop is stored/attached to the side of the coffee maker, which makes it really convenient when you need to add coffee to the basket. -I couldn’t tell you where our old scoop ended up since it could not be tethered to our older coffee maker. The cup stand is also an improvement from last time as this stand has silicone grips on it so that any cups used do not slide around during the brewing process. The brewing basket (filter holder) is permanently attached and swings outward to access/remove the filter, which is also nice as there are less pieces to breakdown and remove for cleaning. There are 4 brewing settings: classic, rich, over ice, and cold brew. My two favorite settings are rich and cold brew…the manual indicates that it can take between 10-20 minutes to run a cold brew batch, but I did a 10 oz cold brew in 5 minutes and 45 seconds. For all of the brew settings, there is a progress bar below the clock that lets you know the status of your brew. This is also an improvement from our last coffee maker as we generally had to wait for a series of 3 beeps to let us know when each brew has competed. We also like the upgrade to a glass carafe and warming plate, as this keeps our excess coffee warmer much longer than our older coffeemaker that has a stainless steel carafe and no warming plate. Typically, our coffee would be cold within an hour after brewing. The overall appearance and plethora of brewing options makes this coffee maker a must-have item for your kitchen. Go getcha one.

Latest generation - many handling improvements!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very fast brew times, and the filter-filling ergonomics are much improved. This machine is as simple as the single function Ninja coffee maker. The pot looks small in the picture, but it is a full 12-cupper. This is much simpler than the picture would suggest to those wary of multi-function machines. Improvements - swing out filter holder, large tap on metal filter screen for dumping grounds, number of scoops shown on the scoop, tight sealing lid, longer pot handle, slower pour spout. This is the 3rd Ninja coffee maker I have owned in many years and definitely the best. The improvements are many and I am very pleased. This pairs well with the Hamilton-Beach coffee grinder for an upgraded morning experience

Enter the Ninja
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Ninja coffee maker. I have owned a few products from the brand before, but never a coffee maker. My main coffee machine is a Phillips LatteGo 3300. I have used this machine for a few years. While I love the LatteGo for most drinks, when I am brewing a cup of plain coffee, I prefer a pourover or drip brew. Enter the Ninja. This Ninja CM371 makes a very tasty cup of joe. It is quite versatile and innovative. Taste: The CM371 has two specific features that allow the coffee to taste better than what I am used to. The first is the shape of the filter. Older coffee machines use a round filter with a slight decline to the center. Ninja uses a cone filter which stacks the grinds on top of each other, ensuring every grind of coffee has full access to become part of your brew. The second feature is when the Ninja first starts to brew the coffee, it puts out a small amount of very hot water and gives it a small amount of time for the grinds to bloom. This opens the grinds up, resulting in more flavor from your coffee. My LatteGo makes a great cup of joe as well, but it uses pressure to brew, much like it does for espresso, which can make the coffee from the LatteGo more bitter. Versatility: The Ninja will brew hot coffee, as I mentioned above, but it is also capable of brewing concentrated hot coffee over ice, as well as “cold brew.” More than 90% of the brews I have made fall into the hot coffee category but I have tried the colder brew methods as well. I have to say that I put cold brew in quotes because I do not consider this a true cold brew. The actual cold brew process is coffee grounds in cold, refrigerated water overnight -or for at least 8 hours. The Ninja’s cold brew directions state to fill your vessel with ice when brewing. The coffee coming out in the cold brew process is not hot, but not cold either. In the end though, it does make good tasting coffee. It also seems to be a little less bitter, which is one of the benefits of the cold brew process. The machine has a lot of versatility beyond the types of brews. You can brew coffee, of any of the three main categories, in eight different sizes. It really works well because I am the main coffee drinker in the house, the only one who makes it every day, though there are times when we have people over and need a full pot. The Ninja makes it easy to do either extreme and everything in between. Innovative: There are many innovative features I like on the Ninja. There is a platform that folds down to hold your cup if you are brewing smaller amounts. For any brewing process, there is a “Drip-Stop” feature which will stop the brew - very handy if you misjudge the volume of your cup versus your brew size… not that I’ve done that… It has a double-sided scoop that fits in the side of the machine so you always know where it is. Ninja lost a star for me: One reason Ninja lost a star is because of the metal filter. You are not supposed to need a paper filter with these but every time I brewed without a paper filter I had sediment in my brew. This is not acceptable for me as it makes the coffee too strong and it doesn’t taste quite right. Once I started using a paper filter and selected a “Rich” brew instead of “Classic” I was very happy with the brew quality and taste. Another reason is the cold brew feature. It’s a nice alternative if you don’t want to wait 8 hours for a real cold brew, but it’s not truly cold brew coffee. If you are a cold brew drinker only and are picky about your cold brew, this is not the machine you are looking for. Lastly, after I remove the brew group to clean it, sometimes small amounts of water drip out onto the burner, or in my cup if I left it on there. This may be a timing issue or something I do to cause it to happen. Overall I think this is a great machine with a lot of different options that will satisfy most any coffee lover's needs.

Its sleek design and multifunctionality seamlessly integrate into my daily routine, offering both aesthetic appeal and practical utility. The machine’s ability to brew a single cup or a full 12-cup carafe without the need for pods aligns with my preference for sustainability and quality. The variety of brew styles—Classic, Rich, Over Ice, and Cold Brew—caters to diverse taste preferences, ensuring a satisfying experience with each cup. Notably, the Rapid Cold Brew feature delivers a smooth, fresh cold brew in as little as 10 minutes, a remarkable convenience for those with a dynamic lifestyle. The 24-hour Delay Brew option and keep-warm function further enhance the user experience, allowing for personalized scheduling and temperature maintenance. The intuitive interface and thoughtful design elements reflect a commitment to user-centric innovation. While the machine offers a comprehensive range of features, it’s worth noting that the absence of a built-in grinder may necessitate an additional appliance for those who prefer freshly ground beans. However, this does not detract from the overall performance and value of the coffee maker. In summary, the Ninja Hot & Iced XL Coffee Maker with Rapid Cold Brew stands as a testament to thoughtful engineering and design, delivering quality and versatility in a stylish package.

This gets my Best Coffee Maker award!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This really is the best coffee maker I have ever owned. I mean, it tastes great! I was very pleasantly surprised when I brewed my first cup. I like the way it is designed. The way to put in water, being able to choose exactly how much I want to make at a time, and the "stop drip" lever when I can't wait for the coffee to finish brewing to fill up my cup. But it is really fast, too, compared to other coffee makers I have owned, And the one thing that I really like is being able to make just a cup of coffee without using one of those pods. Just a little ground coffee and there you go! It is definitely a more green solution than using pods that are thrown away after one use. I haven't used the iced coffee features yet, something to look forward to on a hot day.
