Returning!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought I could save a little money and go with this Air Fryer, but it is going back!! It is so noisy it sound like there is an Airplane in the kitchen. We literally have to yell to communicate when it is on. The cook is inconsistent with temp and time. Spend the money and get the Breville smart oven pro. I have one at home but have to travel with my own cookware because of Medical Issues

More Than Just an Air Fryer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not my first air fryer, but definitely my first product from Ninja in a very long time. The Ninja - Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer & Countertop Oven + Pro Cook is like having a Master Chef's entire kitchen worth of cooking appliances in one sturdy stainless-steel package. I'm a firm believer in reading the instruction manuals before operating newly purchased appliances, but Ninja made this one so intuitive that I may of skimmed through some of those pages a little faster than usual. Simply plug it in, select the cooking mode, select time and temperature and then you're off to the races. Press start and wait for your items to be prepared to absolute perfection. Previous air fryers have done the job, but I feel that the Ninja Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer just does it better. The pre-heat cycle doesn't take long at all. I've noticed that food I've prepared with this unit reaches the desired temperature faster and by extension cooking time has decreased on items I have made in the past with previous units. Food looks to be cooked more evenly without the need to regularly rotate items to ensure a full cook on all sides. The included thermometer is a nice touch and though I have not used it as of yet, I can't wait to make use of it on Whole Roast mode when I get around to putting a whole chicken in this unit. Aside from that mode, there are 9 others: Air Fry, Air Roast, Bake, Dehydrate, Pizza, Broil, Toast, Bagel, and Reheat. Like I said before, an entire kitchen's worth of appliances. Sell the oven, the toaster, the microwave, and make room for one of the best multi-functional kitchen appliances on the market. Make sure you have the room to store this beast. When they have "XL" in the title, they mean it. The Ninja Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer does take up a fair bit of counterspace. That said, you can literally cook and entire dinner in this thing with its 2-level even cooking functionality or cook something larger like a whole chicken or even a turkey. I can't seem to say enough great things about this appliance. If I had to note one negative thing, I would say that the fan is a bit loud during operation, but not loud enough to make me want to miss out on all of the services that the Ninja Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer has to offer. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed by the craftsmanship and the functionality of the Ninja - Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer & Countertop Oven + Pro Cook. It would be a welcomed addition to anyone's kitchen.

Just another reason to not use your cooker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love ninja products, we already have the dual basket air fryer, the pressure cooker and the indoor grill and this just complements the kitchen. In the box you get obviously the main unit, 2 racks, 2 sheet pans, a roasting pan, an air frying rack and magnetic thermometer. You also get the instructions on how to use and warranty paperwork The build quality on this is excellent, the stainless build just looks good in the kitchen. Ninja put the controls all along the top of the unit which is a great idea as this way you get the full width of the oven to use instead of side mounted controls which make you lose a few inches of oven which doesn’t seem much but it’s the difference between a medium roast chicken and a large one. Like all ninja products this is extremely easy to use and every time you cook something it will come out perfect. I can honestly say this could be the final piece of the puzzle when it comes to not needing a cooker. We hardly used our cooker before this and now we don’t use it at all. Ninja has taken over our kitchen and this is a fantastic edition to any home

Multi-Cooker, Small Footprint and Delicious Food
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Ninja smart cooker is an air fryer, a convection oven and lots more; all in one. It is large enough to cook family sized meals or it can be used to cook for one. It has the unique ability to cook on two levels or just one level to achieve efficiency no matter how large a meal is planned. This item is packed very well and indeed the unit was in perfect shape. However, you do need to pay attention to the packaging inside and around the oven to ensure all plastic and cardboard is removed. Another innovation that is important to understand up front is that this device does surround cooking in a real sense not just by utilizing the convection fan. It has heating elements top and bottom but also has a ring of heat-source around the rear fan. The proof is in how well an actual meal is cooked so I did try some recipes to determine if food was delicious, would cook in a reasonable amount of time and also the cleaning perspective. All of these tests showed this was an outstanding product. There are very nice accessories and be aware there are four slots for sliding in the various racks, pans and trays. You are also supplied a smart thermometer which can be used in the cooking if you wish. The thermometer allows you to see the temperature but also it will halt the cooking when the desired temperature is reached - another smart feature. By the way, the jack to attach the thermometer is located on the underside of the door handle. You should try the different functions that run from air frying to dehydration. Once powered on, you can press the ‘Function’ button to run through the many cooking options. You get two wire racks, an air fry basket and a non-smoke and non-stick roasting pan. A nice item is also a crumb tray that goes on the bottom to ensure cleanup will be easy. Just for some reference this unit (inside) is about 10 inches deep by 14 inches wide by 8 inches high. The outside dimensions are compact and the unit sits nicely on my countertop. It was fun to figure out the 'multiple cooking process', but this is a smart cooker so basically it will help you to do the correct thing. An example might be if you have a big chicken to roast you’d enter ‘Whole Roast’ and it will tell you to put it in the lowest (or tray-1) position. If you’d like to also air fry some vegetables, you would hit 2nd function. It will tell you that you’d have to put the next tray of food in level-4 (the top rack). I think that gives you some intro into the power of this unit to make a complete meal for you. Also if you are wondering, yes you can air fry two trays of food at the same time using two different racks. Tip of the cap to the designers of this device, they are very smart. You do get an excellent recipe book that is customized for this cooker, everything from toast to prime rib, to sweet potato casserole to even some Red Velvet cookies that I want to try soon. The thermometer works accurately as well. Once you plug the thermometer into the device you can cook by temperature instead of time. You should ensure you put the thermometer in horizontally and into the thickest part of the meat. The directions are a little unclear in this area regarding how to put the thermometer into the cooker. However, you simply place the meat with the thermometer into the oven and close the door over the thin cable of the thermometer. It's small enough to not disrupt the door seal. Most important is how delicious the food was. The roasted chicken I made was mouth-watering great; I just used salt, pepper, garlic powder and EVOO fantastic. I cooked some sliced zucchini on the uppermost rack at the same time as my chicken. The lengthwise strips of zucchini were wonderful (used the same spices as for the chicken plus some flour). The unit does have a light to view what’s cooking and also the light comes on when you open the door. I highly recommend this super cooking machine with all its smarts and multiple heating elements.

Large countertop oven that does it all
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is Ninjas updated version of their Smart XL Air Fryer/Oven. Its mostly stainless steel and the controls are built into the handle to save space. The buttons are clicky and the display is easy to read. Comes with a thermometer and when not in use it coils up and magnets to the side which is convenient. Comes with 7 accessories. Air Fry Basket 1 Sheet Pans 2 Wire Racks 2 Roast Tray 1 Thermometer 1 As for its size its very large for a counter top oven. I know its labeled as an XL size and its true to that but I wish they made a L version that was just a tad smaller so it didn't take up so much space on my counter. With that said you can fit a lot of food into this thing and it has two racks instead of the typical one. The back bulges out a bit and it has rubber feet to keep it away from anything behind it. It takes in air and vents all out the back. Once you hit start it goes into warming up immediately. Once warm it starts the countdown timer automatically so make sure you prep your food ahead of time because its quick to warm up. I highly recommend reviewing the manuals. It covers all the different settings, where to put the accessories for each mode, and most importantly how long to cook food for each mode. If you follow the directions in the manual everything comes out perfectly. Just to add the air fryer works great on this thing. Food comes out very crispy for a countertop oven style. I was pleasantly surprised by that. As for cleaning I highly recommend putting tin foil over the crumb tray to help keep it clean. So far that has helped quite a bit with the messes. Has 10 cooking functions built in! Air Fry Air Roast Bake Dehydrate Pizza Broil Toast Bagel Whole Roast Reheat Pros: Well built 10 different cooking functions Comes with 7 accessories Fits 2 racks Thermometer support Interior light that times out automatically Timer with warm up and finished notifications Large glass door Food comes out tasting great Manual has lots of cooking info Cons: Fan gets loud and rattles racks in some settings Exhaust in the back could overtime discolor wall/backsplash Most of the accessories are not dish washer safe Very happy with how everything has been coming out. So far I have found it to be very precise. From toasting toast to air frying chicken to dehydrating bananas. It gets used daily in my house. My microwave and oven get used a lot less now. It hasn't replaced my oven but I could see how it could with what it can all do. It really does it all!

Bang for your buck efficiency
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been on the air-fryer craze since it fist became a thing, so much so, I've owned and used two air fryers at once to air fry main dishes and sides at the same time. With that said, the Ninja- Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer & Countertop Oven + Pro Cook takes things to a whole different level happily replacing my air fryers and even making me look at my oven a little different. If you're looking at this device like an Air Fryer, you're underselling it. Air frying is the basics of this, and as an air fryer, it succeeds...but with far more size than any other air fryer you could purchase. Off size alone, it make replaces my previous "2 air fryer set up." With that said..it's going to take up space, but trust, it's worth it. I also feel it does a better job of heating from all angles then most air fryers I'm accustom to. As an oven though? This thing smokes my oven. First of all, I hate preheating. With this? A minute and a half max. The Pro Cook system raises the stakes...or, steaks if you eat beef. Being able to drop a seasoned steak in their and push a button to get the proper cooking (which, definitely isn't well done) is a game changer. Sure, you could set your regular oven to a certain temp and trust it within a certain amount of time...but, maybe it's the "Temp detect intelligence," I trust this system far more. My steaks were A1, no pun intended. The days of buying roasted chicken from the store are over. As a person with a small family, this thing more than fits the bill...but as someone who's a bit up in age and thinks about the things we used to cook with when I was in my late teens early 20s...for the young adults coming of age now? This thing could almost replace their whole kitchen! A toaster, an air fryer, an oven to cook large portions of protein or sides, a microwave, a cookie maker? You're not getting this much service out of any one device...not with quality at least. You could try to put all this stuff in a microwave...you'd get horrible results that will probably make you sick. The Ninja Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer & Countertop Oven + Pro Cook is a game changer in the kitchen that is worth the space it takes up. Remove some of those other devices...you don't need them anymore.

Preheats fast, cooks perfectly
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Ninja Prestige Smart Air Fryer and Countertop oven is awesome. It has a lot of space, as advertised, and you can roast a whole chicken if you want to. It's extremely versatile, as a countertop over should be. You can bake, air fry, toast (both bread and bagel settings) and even dehydrate. It's advertised to preheat in 90 seconds and it does. Outside of something not fitting, there's no reason to ever use my full sized over this. It preheats so fast and then start cooking. I'm used to leaving the food on the tray and once preheated, putting it in. No need with this Ninja. Plus, it starts the timer countdown immediately, so you don't want to lose time if you're not nearby. Outside of preheating so quickly, of course the most important thing is how well it cooks. For me, everything has come out perfect. The first thing I used it for were baked potatoes. I popped in the potatoes and once the timer went off, they were exactly as I wanted them. The included thermometer was an afterthought, because I'm not used to using meat thermometers. It's almost a reason to buy this by itself. Obviously, the air fryer/over needs to cook well and evenly. But it does that and with this smart thermometer, I wish that they made full sized ovens. You literally plug in the thermometer and place it in your meat (I chose tri tip the first time), choose the temperature to cook to and put the food in, and it starts and turns itself off once the temperature is reached. Such a time and effort saver. Outside of the cooking, the controls are simple and intuitive. It is louder than my previous countertop ovens, but not so loud that it's a bother. It also releases more heat than my previous ones, so check your counter carefully for a good spot. I love this Ninja Prestige Smart Air Fryer and Countertop oven and would recommend it to anyone.

King of Air Fryers!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently added the Ninja Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer & Countertop Oven + Pro Cook to my kitchen, and it blends perfectly with my other stainless steel appliances. The sleek, modern look of the stainless steel exterior is not only visually appealing but gives a professional feel to the kitchen setup. It’s a substantial appliance, yet it doesn’t take up too much counter space, and I love how it enhances the overall vibe of my kitchen. This product comes with some fantastic accessories: the air fry basket, 2 sheet pans, 2 wire racks, a removable crumb tray, a roast tray, and even a pro cook thermometer that takes all the guesswork out of cooking meats. Plus, it includes handy recipe and cooking charts, which make it super easy to get started right away. I’ve already put it to the test, cooking up a variety of meals. The pizzas came out crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the sweet potato fries had that perfect golden crunch, and the cookies? Absolutely delicious. The versatility of this thing is incredible. Whether it’s salmon, roasted vegetables, or anything in between, the Ninja delivers perfect results every time. What I really appreciate is how easy it is to clean up. After cooking, the crumb tray and accessories are a breeze to remove and wipe down. It's low maintenance for the high-quality meals it delivers. I’m really looking forward to Thanksgiving, as this will be my secret weapon in the kitchen. I can’t wait to test out a turkey in it! The fact that you can use this for anything you’d normally bake in an oven—and more—is a game changer. Overall, I highly recommend this air fryer and countertop oven for anyone looking to save time in the kitchen and cook meals in a healthier way without sacrificing taste. It’s a must-have!

A tad large but in charge
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have worked my way through several pressure cookers as well as a few air fryer ovens. This unit, while not perfect, does work well and would be a nice complement to any kitchen, if you have the space. Pros Easy to setup. Just plug in but do follow directions to do pre-cook burn off to get rid of any residue. The oven is larger than all the ones I have tested (17.09 in L x 20.22 in W x 13.34 in H) but also has more interior space (2.67 cubic feet). Weighs in at 33.63 lbs. Nice large glass window for viewing Controls in the handle are nice and you can change temperature (5-degree increments) and time (1-minute increments) on the fly. Easy to read LED temperature, time and selected cooking options imbedded in handle. Oven door opens down, so you don’t drip on counter if checking or removing food. Light is very bright making it easy to see food while cooking. 4 rack levels. You can do 2 rack cooking by selecting that option on controls. When selecting cooking option(s) unit indicate what rack number(s) of the 4 you should use Has a thermometer option for precise temperature with preset temps for beef, chicken, etc. you can select. By using the manual button, you can set your own target temp. The oven itself is nicely constructed with an easy to clean interior. Cons Does require pre-heating but is quick at about 90 seconds. Grounded Power-cord (36 inches) connection to oven is at bottom of plug so would block other outlets if not used on bottom. Button controls in handle are hard to see as most buttons are small and reflect light making it difficult to see blackened function(s). A tad noisy when running certain functions and runs for a long time in cool down mode after operation. No pizza tray. Maybe they assume you would already have one? But only 1 of ours fit and only on rack 3 as that has a tad extra room due to fan indentation in back of oven. Most supplied cooking pans require hand washing. Outside gets warm so make sure it is an area with ventilation and keep “little” hands away. But to be fair all do Cooking Cooked 2 Cornish hens using the temperature probe and suggested roast tray and rack position. You cannot select the temp for chicken so used preset 165 degrees. Hens were done nicely with crisp skin on top but not bottom. This has occurred in my other ovens as well. I normally cook the first half of the time with breast down then up for remainder. I also set directly on foil lined sheet pan. But wanted to test their suggestion. Used the Pizza preset, and it came out nicely done on top but not too crispy on bottom. Same pan used in other ovens and did not have this issue. Cooked frozen hash browns and they came out crispy on outside and soft on inside. Soft boiled eggs came out nicely as well Cleanup One of the eggs split and dripped egg onto crumb tray. I was dreading trying to scrape this off but to my surprise it just wiped off. The interior is also easy to wipe down and should be done after every use. Cooking modes: Whole Roast Air Roast Air Fry Bake Dehydrate Broil Toast Bagel Pizza Reheat Controls: Power Function Preheat Slices Time Display Temperature Display Shade Rack Level 2 Level cooking Light Time/Slices Temp/Shade Manual Button Preset Start/Stop Doneness Prestige Smart Thermometer 1 year warranty Overall, a great oven with just a couple of foibles from being perfect and would recommend at 4.5 stars.

Awesome time and space saving product from Ninja!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m always happy when I can eliminate w couple of appliances on my countertop in one sweep of an arm, and I have to start by saying that this new all in one from Ninja does everything it claims and more! Right out of the box you’ll find the unit is well made and comes with a number of accessories including a temperature probe for roasting, two sheet pans and a roasting insert. The inside dimensions are highly spacious, and with its two level cooking design you can have a whole meal cooking at the same time - main course meat and vegetable sides, all at the same time. The control system is very easy to understand and offers a variety of presets to make sure everything comes out perfectly cooked. As simple as it sounds, my first attempt to use the unit was a bagel my old toaster would have burned and dried out all at the same time. The Ninja has a dedicated bagel function that without even changing a single setting gave me a perfectly browned inside while still maintaining a chewy soft interior. No more hockey pucks! If you are a meal prepper, you will find the dual level cooking and generous size cuts down your need to fire up your real oven significantly. I zipped through my weekly prep this week and found additional great ideas in the included cookbook/instructional guide that will make for great easy meals later. All in all this is a GREAT unit if you’re looking to replace your air fryer and toaster / toaster oven all at once, with added ability to cook a whole Sunday dinner inside.

Can fit a WHOLE PIZZA!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This airfryer oven is AMAZING! Right out of the box I was super impressed with the look and feel, super high quality. I have another brand of a convection airfryer oven that I've loved using for the last three years, but I find the temperature of the pre-set options to be too high. I can never just set it from one of those buttons and be confident that it will cook properly. With this one, though, the pre-set temps are right on point! I've used it three times since I've had it a little bit over a week, cooked a pork roast, a small chicken and a WHOLE PIZZA! In my old one, I had to cut the pizza in half and cook it in two separate racks. The chicken I cooked a little bit longer than recommended, but I probably didn't have to, I just wanted to make sure it was completely done all the way through. Roast came out perfect. Now, the only reason I'm giving it four stars is because the unit itself it's pretty large / deep and heavy, so it takes up a lot of counter space in my small kitchen. I have to store it in the cupboard in between uses, so that will probably mean I don't use it as much since it is so heavy, but I really do love it. The digital display is a nice upgrade, and it's not very loud. Not any louder than my old one. I recommend it, but you need a large counter top or kitchen cart of some kind.
