The size of this is fine, however because of the split level, the bottom rack is hard to get into, because the door doesn't open all the way unless you have it on the edge of the counter, due to the handle being in between the counter and the door upon opening it which doesn't allow the door to lay flat which doesn't allow you to slide the rack out and it's nmteo narrow to try to grab your food you will burn your self in the narrow space. Also the air fry options are on the bottom rack only instead of the top or both levels.

The Ninja Double Stack XL Oven & Air Fryer is a kitchen appliance that can be easily summarized as a swiss army knife for food preparation. It sets out to consolidate a handful of kitchen gadgets and mostly succeeds in replacing them. It’s not perfect in any sense, but after using it heavily for the past month I have been truly impressed with the versatility it offers. Here’s a few things I noticed and thought would be useful to share: Pros: Literally stacks a oven/toaster on top of an air fryer/oven, and does it in a useful and smart way. The smaller oven on tops boasts an array of everyday function like bake, toast for bread and bagel, reheat etc. aimed at more smaller items like snacks. The larger bottom part has air fryer, convection bake, whole roast, air roast, pizza, and dehydrate function and can handle larger items such as a whole chicken with ease Each oven has it’s separate control and has individual timer and temperature setting Temperate range is quite large: 85 ~ 450 ℉ Has a smart sync feature that synchronizes the cooking time between the oven and can finish 2 items at the same time Intuitive digital control Seal makes smell contained in the specific oven, avoiding cross-contamination of flavor The door hinges are smartly designed, allowing accessing the top oven without opening the whole door, and keeping the bottom oven operation undisturbed Preheating is very quick A lot of the operations are notified by audible alarms, which keeps me aware of what’s happening Almost all the needed accessories were included A metal crumb tray that fits inside both compartments makes cleanup an easy task There are an internal lights that can be turned on with a switch to check the status of the cooking, and also comes on automatically when the cooking is done With all the functionalities it offers, it replaced my air fryer and toaster oven, and took over a look of the things I used to do with my large oven in the range Comes with a built-in smart thermometer that makes cooking more easier to manage Cons: The appliance is large and takes up quite some space on the kitchen counter. Even though I was aware I’m getting an “XL” oven, the overall volume it took was noticeable, so plan ahead The appliance is relatively heavy The top oven is a bit too shallow for me, especially since the wire rack is not latched/held firmly when sliding out. As a result, taking food out when everything is super hot takes a bit of maneuvering It would be great if the bottom oven could be accessed without opening the top portion. Not a big deal but a nice to have flexibility Only one crumb tray came with the oven. Even though it can be used on both ovens, and the bottom oven has a flat floor, having 2 would make cleaning mess easier Roast tray is not provided in the package, and needs to be bought separately The wire-mesh air fry basket is not non-stick. There’s a nonstick air fry basket that can be bought separately Sometimes using both the ovens simultaneously can be a bit confusing, especially when I had to adjust things in between In summary, I’m quite happy with the Ninja Double Stack XL Oven and Air fryer system, and except a few quibbles does an excellent job overall. Highly recommended.

I have a full-size electric kitchen, but honestly I just prefer to use an air fryer for cooking because it keeps my kitchen clean and the meals are easily and quickly prepared. This Ninja air fryer is a little bigger than my old Ninja air fryer but it’s more efficient and compliments my stainless steal kitchen better. Here is a quick breakdown of some of my favorite features. 1. Flexdoor Feature It’s basically as if you have two air fryers or ovens allowing you to cook two meals simultaneously or if you just want to use in the top, you can do so without having to use the bottom section. I can make my veggies at the top and my salmon in the bottom and there is no smell crossover. 2. Cooking Options The Ninja Double Stack XL has 12-in-1 options. Basically anything from baking to broil to air fry to dehydration. I have used the brake, broil, toast, air fry and pizza option, and it cooks to my expectations. We will see how clean in stays but for now it’s not too messy. 3. Capacity Depending on the size of your kitchen this could be a downside, I live in a 1200sqft apartment, but the air fryer doesn’t look too big in my opinion. I like the capacity because I can make my meal and my partners without having to really take turns deciding what to cook. Saves time and lets us eat our food nice and warm! 4. Easy to Use This air fryer has a lot of options but it’s easy to use and the controls are not confusing. 5. Build Quality Over the years, I’ve grown to be a fan of Ninja products and this air fryer continues to have the built quality as many of their products. The stainless steal is easy to clean and the air fryer is sturdy. Loving it for the first couple of weeks! Overall, I am happy I upgraded air fryers and I enjoy that I can cook faster and yet keep my kitchen looking clean! I recommend this for a household of 1-3 because you can cook multiple meals, but if you are a bigger family it may be harder to cook all your food in one setting.

A Versatile Cooker That Makes it Easy

I have cooked a few meals with the new Ninja Double Stack XL with Pro Cook and have enjoyed some unique features that makes this countertop oven very useful. Countertop space has become increasingly competitive. Nowadays there’s so many kitchen gadgets that buying all of them has become impractical due to storage issues. I have a few Ninja kitchen gadgets, and I love all of them so my expectations were high. I can’t live without an air fryer at this point, and the air fryer market has become very diverse with an insane number of options. For me, capacity and ease of use are the most important features in an air fryer. This new Ninja air fryer has excellent capacity and a host of features that make it easier to use. The main ease of use features that make this air fryer so cool is the thermometer and the smart finish function. The thermometer on the air fryer is removable and is held via magnets on the side of the machine. This makes it very easy to store and clean. The thermometer connects into a port on the side, and then you just stick the other end into your protein. I have used it already a couple of times with a pork loin. Pork is nice and juicy at 150 degrees Fahrenheit. So, I setup the air fryer to finish cooking when the pork’s internal temp reaches that magic number. That’s incredibly useful and makes cooking so much easier. Secondly, the smart finish function adds onto the ease of cooking by synchronizing the cook times of the top and bottom compartments. For example, on the bottom compartment you have some chicken that is going to take 40 minutes to finish. The top compartment is potatoes which only take 25 minutes to finish. Well, the Ninja will begin the potatoes at the perfect time so that both dishes are done at the same time. That’s INCREDIBLE! I love this feature so much. Something interesting is that the top compartment is more of a conventional oven, it does not air fry. I think this is a good thing. Obviously, Ninja designed this gadget with a clear intention. The top is for roasting sides, the bottom is a versatile cooker for all kinds of larger portions. This makes it clear to me, the user, where to put what into this oven. If I am making a quick desert like cookies? Top oven. Reheating a pizza? Top oven. Cooking a protein or want an extra crispy finish to whatever you are cooking? Bottom oven. It really helps with defining what to cook where. Overall, I really recommend this Ninja oven. It’s incredibly versatile and has some amazing usability features.

Baking with this was a game changer. My baked goods came out evenly baked. Very pleased with the quality of the baking. I would shorten the air fryer time on the instructions of any food packages as he air fryer does it job quite faster than anticipated. You’ll find your cleanup of the inside of the air fryer will be more than just using an ordinary oven since the air is pushing heat all around inside to help speed up the cooking which of course ends up moving particles on your foods being cooked. Not a deal breaker, the time saved and getting the food on the plate makes it a small inconvenience. When cooking top and bottom you have a choice of both ending their cooking time at the same time with the push of a smart button. The top compartment of the oven is for baking and other options, different from the bottom options. The bottom serves as the air fryer and has other specific cooking options. When pushing the buttons on the top or bottom to set your cooking style, temp and time, you will first push the top or bottom button and then turn the dial to move to the indicated style cooking you want. Then press the button and it moves to the temp option and you rotate the dial to increase/decreas temp, then same for the time. If you’re going to use too and bottom simultaneously, then you proceed to press the bottom button and choose the temp/time as you did with the top. Then you press start. The oven comes with a light switch so you can turn on and off. A clean catch tray is included with an air fryer basket and 2 large trays. Two racks are included and must be used when placing trays to cook. The unit is heavy and sturdy and has an indicator to let you know it’s still hot after you’re done cooking to alert everyone the temperature of the unit is still hot to touch. You should unplug the unit after eat use so there isn’t accidental turn on of unit as it’s digital and can easily be turned on The door has a nice feature as it can open just the top to check your food while still staying closed to maintain the temperature of the bottom oven. I would definitely recommend this oven. It’s made cooking enjoyable and quicker.

The Ninja Double Stack XL Countertop Oven & Air Fryer with Pro Cook System is a high-quality product, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. One of the most impressive features is the incredibly fast cook times. It cooks in less than half the time of other quality toaster ovens I’ve used, and sometimes it even takes just a third of the time when it comes to toasting. This has been a huge time-saver, especially on busy weeknights. The sleek and modern interface is another aspect I appreciate, and it looks great on my countertop. That said, it does come with a bit of a learning curve. The settings aren’t the most intuitive at first, but the instructions are straightforward enough to follow, and I got the hang of it after a few uses. Once I figured it out, I was able to fully enjoy the high-quality results it delivers. The air fryer function is exceptional. It fries chicken and potatoes to perfection, delivering crispy exteriors and tender interiors with little to no oil. Every dish I’ve made with the air fryer has turned out delicious. The double stack feature is also a standout. With two racks, I essentially have three ovens. I can cook a large main dish in my regular oven, roast a side in the top section of the Ninja, and bake another dish in the bottom. This has made meal prep a breeze, especially when I’m juggling multiple dishes. Another thing I love about the Ninja Double Stack XL is the timing settings. They are precise and incredibly useful for planning meals, helping me coordinate multiple dishes at once without stress. It’s been a huge help on busy weeknights. If there’s any downside, it’s that the size of the oven may be a bit large for some countertops. It works fine in my kitchen, but it’s worth considering if you’re short on space. Additionally, as I mentioned before, the settings have a bit of a learning curve, but the instructions make it easy enough to figure out. Overall, the Ninja Double Stack XL has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. It’s fast, versatile, and perfect for both quick meals and more involved cooking. The fast cook times and the double stack feature are real game-changers, making it a must-have for anyone looking to upgrade their countertop oven!

My wife and I share cooking duties and Monday through Friday we always have something going on, so we don't have much time to spend on cooking meals. This Ninja Double stacked countertop oven has really made an impact on that issue for us. To begin with, out of the box you can tell that you have bought a quality item. It is nice and sturdy, but not real heavy. It comes with all the accessories you need to get a meal prepared for your family. Once we decided where it would fit in our kitchen, the stainless steel look really complimented the rest of our appliances. The first couple of days, we started out slow with this oven. Toast and waffles in the morning and reheating some lasagna for dinner and baking some cookies at night. The controls on the side are very intuitive, so we didn't have any issues getting our food items just the way we want them. I was really pleasantly surprised how well the oven kept the smells separate. After reheating our lasagna, I was fearful that our cookies would absorb some of the lasagna smell, but that never happened. After the first couple of days, we started to cook full on meals. Our first meal was chicken breasts with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I love that I can put all of these items in at the same time into one appliance and have everything ready and tasting great! The maintenance on this oven is very simply. You take out the sheet pans and the crumb tray and give them a good wash before reusing them again. The following dinner we prepared some salmon with carrots and green peas and the salmon come out with wonderful flavor and the smell did not penetrate the veggies. We can't wait to try out some of the items in the recipe guide and try out some new foods! This Ninja double-stacked countertop oven offers convenience that no other appliance in our kitchen offers. Not only does it cook our food well, it looks really nice in our kitchen. If you are looking to save time on cooking and all have great tasting food coming out of the oven, I highly recommend this Ninja double-stacked countertop oven.

I love Ninja air fryers so this review maybe a little biased :) ,... being as i have used similar devices from Ninja I was super excited I was able to get this beautiful Stainless Steel Double Stack XL Oven & Air Fryer. Being able to prepare multiple items at different temps for dinner at the same time in the same oven device is such a time saver, not to mention being able to sync both levels so the food is done at the same time, makes cooking dinner so much more efficient. I could go on and on about how much I just love this oven, the size is perfect for my family and counter top. The design is slick and the stainless steel just makes this oven stand out, looks fantastic. The cook times are great, being able to use different temps on both ovens allows for such a mix and match of things to cook, but for me not having to heat up my standard oven and wait hours to have something finish cooking is where its at..., i can open up the air fryer and throw something in and it preheats and starts running almost immediately... helping to get through a long day with minimum effort in the kitchen is a plus. Pros: unit is packed with goodies (sheet pans, racks, air fryer basket, even an internal thermometer) dual ovens, you could bake some cookies on the top, and air fry some prepared chicken tenders in the bottom dual sync, sync the cooking times of both ovens, even at different temperatures to finish your items at the same time top oven opens independently of the bottom oven, (don't want to disturb the bottom oven, you dont have to with the quick open button for the top portion) multiple cooking design (air fry, broil, toast/bagel, reheat, dehydrate, warmer, conv. bake) on screen timer, inside light cons honestly there isnt many negatives to this oven, it works great, looks great and as long as you keep up on cleaning it after each use, you will be bound to love this thing for years to come! i know i do and will.

I had a Ninja combined air fryer/toaster oven before this. There were times I wish I could cook two different things without having to turn on my full-size oven and thought this might be the answer. And, well, it kind of is. There are a lot of neat things about this countertop oven, but I think it's limited in order to be compatible with your average household wall outlet. And what I mean about that is, in passing mention, and only a couple times in the manuals, it notes that if you are using both ovens at the same time, cooking times will be increased. To me, that means it has to sacrifice oven temperature in order to be able to power both ovens at the same time, due to the limits of the amount of power it can draw from your wall outlet. Besides that, this oven works pretty well, but the difference between all the heating modes in both ovens is unclear. It's also disappointing that the top oven can't air fry either, even though the size of the oven is roughly the size of my old Ninja airfryer/toaster oven. It took some learning on how to operate the two ovens. The first time I started it, I accidentally started cooking in both ovens, and couldn't figure out how to stop just one. (Hint press and hold the button for the oven you want to turn off). Also, since there are so many cooking modes, it's hard to remember which oven has which function, and you can only see all of the options with both ovens if you power both of them on so both control panels light up. If the bottom oven is completely off, you can't see what cooking options are available. That being said, the manual isn't very clear what the difference between Whole Roast, Air Roast, and Convection Bake are. They just give a couple examples of what types of foods you might use with those functions, without making clear what the oven does differently. Same for pizza... it just says it heats a pizza evenly. But, what if I'm heating up a quesadilla, which of those 4 options should I use? The top oven is a lot more clear, and has all your typical options (toast, bake, bagel) and they all work well. The top oven also pre-heats a lot quicker and is a lot quieter, and it's a lot more straightforward and your basic oven. You can open just the top one by pressing on the button and pulling the handle. If you pull the handle without pushing the bottom, whole door opens to give you access to both ovens. The bottom oven is a little strange and I think will take more getting used to. It does air fry very well, and I've been very happy with anything I've fried in it. But again, the other functions are unclear. All the heat just comes from the right side of the oven via the convection fan. (The top oven has heating elements on the top and bottom.) The top oven also takes a lot more time to preheat (though still quicker than a full-size oven. The thermometer and oven sync works really well, so it does help with taking the guesswork out of when something will be finished cooking, and when you should start cooking the companion dish. So, for those reasons, that makes this oven really neat. But some clarity on the cooking modes would make cooking a little less trial and error as you learn this new oven.

Versatile, Convenient, Takes Some Getting Used To

The Ninja Double Stack XL oven is versatile and convenient. With 12 functions spread across two cooking areas, you can do a lot of different things and even do some of them at the same time. It took a bit of getting used to, though. Each function has its own settings, and it took me a few sessions with the quick start guide to get the hang of how the shared controls work. Fortunately, that guide has lots of great information, so I highly recommend reading it while you’re new to the Double Stack XL. Also, the toast function cooks toast a lot more “well done” than I had expected (more on that later), so that also took some adjusting on my part. When I first took this out of the box, I couldn’t decide if this appliance was larger or smaller than I was expecting. At first, comparing it to other countertop ovens, it seemed very large. Then I considered the two separate cooking chambers, and it seemed really compact. I soon realized that the top (smaller) chamber is large enough to do more than just toast, and that the bottom (larger) chamber can handle a sheet pan meal for a family of four. It all fits on the counter below the storage above (with a bit of room to spare), so I settled on an overall description of this being a highly efficient use of space. We’ve had this for a few days, and I’ve used it for simple stuff like toasting bread and bagels and gotten as adventurous as baking cookies on top while also roasting chicken and veggies in the bottom and air frying potatoes on the bottom while also broiling sausage links on top. Being able to do separate things in the same appliance (and even synchronize finish times) is convenient. The integrated thermometer, allowing me to ensure meats are cooked properly without opening the door to check a temp, has really improved my culinary game. My one complaint so far might be that the “toast” function makes bread way darker than you might think. This model was an upgrade for me from another Ninja countertop oven. On the previous model, I was usually using the “shade” setting of 3 or 4 often and getting medium toast. On this model, shade 3 (out of 7) makes my (store-bought whole-wheat bread) VERY dark, and 4 straight up burns the edges. Now that I’ve re-calibrated my expectations, I just always use settings 1 or 2. It makes me wonder if there are other settings that I just haven’t gotten to try yet that will also take some getting used to. Overall, I’m glad to add the Ninja Double Stack XL to my kitchen countertop. I think I’ve used it every day since it came out of the box, and expect it will get frequent, regular use moving forward. I'll continue to get used to how it works and think up new ways to cook two things at once!

This is an upgrade from our traditional air fryer. It’s probably twice the size of our first air fryer, so if you don’t have the counter space that might be a problem. No real setup involved. Just take out of box and remove packaging and you are good to go. It has two sections. The top is for baking, reheating and keeping warm. The bottom is used for air frying, roasting, and broiling. First use was for air frying chicken nuggets in the bottom section. it has a preheat cycle so that was new for me too…but it does seem to heat very evenly across the machine. We went to roast a pork roast but found the machine doesn’t come with a roasting pan. You have to buy that separately so we decided to wait as I ordered it. The prepackaged chocolate chip cookies came out nice and even from the top section. So far that’s all we’ve used it for but so far it’s been good. Pros -Can do two functions at once -Easy to use -Looks good -Food is cooked evenly -Comes with a internal thermometer -Comes with 2 racks, 2 bake pans, and crumb catcher -front opening door give easy access Cons -seems a little slower but does heat evenly -doesn’t come with recommended broiler pan Overall awesome machine. Not going to take a star for not coming with something because the machine functions very well and as it should.

I wish i would have gotten one of these way sooner than i did. This air fryer is the most awesome air fryer i have ever used. I love making pizza but i hate that i have to turn on my electric stove and let it heat up for 15 to 20 minutes to get the the proper tempter. With this air fryer it takes literally minutes and its already cooking the pizza and when i make one in the oven the outer crust is always hard as a rock and the center is just warm. Not with this air fryer it evenly heats the pizza across the whole top so it's evenly cooked and it takes half the time to cook it. So you want to make fish and chips AKA fries well no problem. You can toss your fish of choice in the bottom part of the fryer and your fries in the top part and have them get done at the same time. No more your fish is done well now your cooking your fries and your fish is cold by the time your fries are done. The best part is there is no cross cooking smells. I don't know how it's done but it's like magic that my fries don't smell or tase like fish. You can cook literally anything you want in this fryer from French fries to a chicken. Also if you have picky eaters in the house no problem you can cook two completely different meals at the same time. This Air fryer makes your food healthier, taste better and cook quicker than your oven ever will.

I love having this. If I had to change something, I would have liked it to be 2 of the same things. I feel like the bottom is more for your oven/air frying needs while the top is more for appetizers, toasting etc. Especially with having a smart finish where you can have both top and bottom finish at same time. That said, it is nice that you can still bake on the top and then air fry on the bottom. So, if you have kids that enjoy nuggets and tater tots, you can set it to cook both and have it finish at the same time. It is a little on the bigger side for kitchen appliances so you will need to have a spot with room. For me, having this, the biggest advantage is being able to dual cook with it and have things finish at the same time. No more having to start one thing, set a timer and to start something else. This will do that for you. I enjoy mainly air frying tater tots on the bottom and also doing vegetables on top portion. Or you can also do hot dogs on the top and fries or tots on the bottom. Overall, it is a great kitchen appliance to have. I also enjoy Ninja products so another great Ninja product.

The Ninja Double Stack XL Countertop Oven & Air Fryer has been the star of our kitchen, since the moment it came out of the box! There has never been a more convenient way for us to make dinner for the whole family! Unboxing and learning how to use the machine was very simple, and within 15 minutes we had our first meal cooking! While not glamorous, the chicken nuggets and fries were the easiest they have ever been and also cooked up in no time! It is so nice to be able to cook 2 different items at 2 different temperatures at the same time! We have also used this to make cookies, and it was so much easier than firing up the oven! Some of the other favorites of the kids in this is pizza which comes out excellent and roast chicken which I can cook at the same time as some of the sides we make by using the 2 different cooking zones. You can even use this in the morning for a quick breakfast! We have made a few different egg bakes and even cinnamon rolls! This is a larger device so be sure to set aside plenty of counter space for it, but I promise you it is totally worth the investment!

I gave this a 4 star because toasting is hit or miss. Some breads toast ok others not well at all. Everything else works well.

Excellent machine but the oven and fryer were too small for my usage. Returned it.
