Nice and efficient!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There’s a lot to like in this compact and efficient package of the Shark Steam Pickup 3-in-1 mop. Shark advertises that this mop will pick up debris, scrub, and sanitize your hard surface floors in one pass. It uses a brushroll, steam, and vacuum power to simultaneously pick up debris and scrub the floor. This sounds almost too good to be true—can I really mop my floor without spending tons of money on expensive cleaners and mop pads, without sweeping or vacuuming first, and without messy buckets/wringers (and the labor that goes with conventional mopping)? For the most part, the answer is yes with this clever device from Shark. *Setup: Takes almost no time at all. One must click the handle into the main machine, plug it in, and find some place to put the little dock for storing the machine. That’s about it. It took a second to figure out how to take out the reservoir for water, but it just pops out and pops back in. *The good: It works! I have used this mop several times in the laziest manner possible. I read about one minute of instructions, I did not sweep, I did not vacuum, I did not clean before I got the mop out. I filled the reservoir with water, plugged it in and started it up. The brush roll kicked on, the steam started pouring out of the front of the head, and the lights on the unit helped me see more clearly what messes I was picking up. Indeed, nasty stains on the floor and sticky spots were easily cleaned, if not in the first pass by just holding the brush roll over a spot and letting the steam/moisture due its work. I sucked up wads of dog hair, crumbs, and dirt while rolling away, which is fairly effortless because the brushroll keeps the mop moving forward gently whenever it's in action. The steam is certainly steamy, and anything that gets on the floor does dry very quickly, so there’s not a worry about running laminate or hardwood surfaces. Cleaning the kitchen was easy enough, thought it did take a bit of time to roll over all the surfaces, under chairs, and etc. as I have a fairly large kitchen. So, you could probably use a manual mop a bit quicker if you’re willing to scrub fast and hard, but this is definitely easy and very uniform in the job it does. I think I had to refill the reservoir for water once while doing the kitchen and hallway, and perhaps twice again to do my entire living area, bathroom, and front entryway. However, it’s *just water*--so no cost, no sticky residue, and no weird smells or chemicals. *Does it work? Yes, it sucks up debris and deposits the gunk in its interior tray. The brush roll is effective at removing stains and gunk on your tile and hardwood. The floors certainly are noticeably cleaner and free of stains, footprints, splashes and gunk after a treatment. *Should I have swept first? Maybe. I have two very fuzzy dogs that deposit a lot of fur everywhere, all the time. I did not bother to even attempt to pick anything up before trying this mop to see “what it could do.” It’s surprisingly effective even with a large volume of fuzz, but there are two caveats: 1) One has to empty the interior tray and clear out accumulated hair from the brushroll more often, and likely a few times while doing whatever job, if one takes this approach. 2) Because it works by steam, the brush roll and head of the mop tend to steam anything it encounters. When it steams a big clump of fur or debris, you end up with a wet clump sometimes. Sometimes this means the mop is spitting out clumps of wet fur or floppy debris. A few extra passes usually will pick it up, but sometimes, manual help is required. *If you don’t have clumps of fur sitting around, I suspect you will not have any issues with this* Uncertainties: Is it really sanitized? I think it’s a reasonable claim. But there are some specific directions about how long steam must be applied in an area to sanitize. Less good things: *Like most vacuums or robot mops, this can’t get quite to the edge of floors at the wall. *The floor is left not super shiny, and I can see the pattern of the brush roll being left behind as the floor dries. It’s not super noticeable, but I was hoping for a nicer surface. Still looks a lot cleaner. *Bits of fur and hair do end up getting slapped onto the surface by the roller if it's not sucked up into the debris containers. *The bottom of the mopper has a little squeegee flap that helps ferry debris into the debris container. It’s mostly unnoticeable until I got to tile floors. This little flap gets stuck between the tiles where the grout is and sort of flips up. You have to pull the mop back and get the flap into place again. It’s not a big deal, but it’s a little annoying and I’m glad I don’t have a lot of tile.

Picks Up, Steam Sanitizes, But Questionable Clean
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark Steam Pickup 3-n-1 is marketed as a Vacuum, Steamer and Scrubbing Mop for hard floors only. And for the most part, it does all three pretty well! But the only thing that does bother me a tiny bit is its cleaning. But overall, I’m pretty stoked that a product like this is in the market. The Steam Pickup is a very simple cleaning appliance. Just add water to its reservoir, select a steam setting, and lower the main arm to start vacuuming/mopping/steaming. Yes, that happens all at once. Although the vacuuming is not so much of a suction, but a rotating brush that “picks up” debris and catches it into a bin. A very generous amount of steam is created, even at the lower settings, and in combination with the rotating brush, there is nothing this floor cleaner can’t remove. And with ample cord length, you’ll be able to tackle large sections of your home without having to unplug. The Steam PIckup can be easily disassembled for a thorough cleaning. After a session, the unit stores solids and liquids into the waste tray in two different chambers. It’s actually interesting to me and I still can’t figure out how it works, but that’s what it does. The waste tray can be completely removed and rinsed clean. Similarly, the scrub brush can be easily removed and rinsed as well. Shark claims that it is self cleaning, but a simple rinse now and then wouldn’t hurt. Performance-wise, the Steam Pickup will not disappoint in removing visible dirt off the floor. I’m talking about food remnants (or any for that matter) that is caked onto the floor. The combo scrub brush and steam power through them with ease and completely remove any trace. I’ve cleaned my entire house and even my garage (nitro tiles) with no issues using the device. It’s just super easy to use and way more convenient than bringing out the mop and bucket. It does leave a tad bit of water on the floor, but nothing crazy; it dries in minutes. But that’s where I do question its cleaning overall. Yes, it picks up dirt and debris and it does remove caked on dirt with the power of steam, but it’s the things you can’t really see. Right after I clean an area, I can take a white paper towel and wipe an area only to see that there is some level of dirty water that still remains on the floor. That being said, there is an undeniable clean feeling after walking on the completely dried floor, but it’s worth mentioning that the floor may not be completely clean as one might expect. I’m still pretty stoked about this product overall. It saves a lot of time being a 3-in-1 product, and with regular use, can keep your floor relatively clean and especially sanitized.

Great for hard floor cleaning!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bottom Line: The Shark Steam Pickup 3-in-1 simplifies floor cleanup Pros: steam cleans and pickup up small debris; brush basically self propels; has a built in light; easy, straightforward cleanup; convenient stand for drying brush roller Cons: instructions don’t match product; concerned about long-term durability how water tank is held onto unit; dirty water capacity might not handle large spills Review: Despite being tiled, our basement floor gets pretty dirty. I was therefore thrilled to pick up the Shark Steam Pickup 3-in-1 to clean up dust, dirt, spiderwebs, bugs, and sanitize all at the same time. Setup was quick and easy; insert the handle, fill the water container, and it’s ready to go. There’s a single button that turns the unit on/off and selects the mode. That said, the modes are indicated by a series of three lights, but the lights aren’t labeled and the light patterns do not match what is shown in the instruction manual. Therefore, it was hard to figure out what mode the cleaner was in. Nevertheless, I was easily able to get to cleaning mode with steam and the roller brush. The pull of the roller brush on tile was pretty strong which made the unit feel self propelled. I had no issue picking up all kinds of debris, including dirt, bugs, spiderwebs, string, and small scraps of paper. Steam cleaning works really well, and I was able to scrub out a few dirt stains that were pretty ground into the tile. The built-in light also helps you see what you’re cleaning. I was initially apprehensive that cleanup was going to be difficult, but it was easy and straightforward since the cleaning head is broken into three parts. The top cover is easy to wipe with a paper towel and rinse. I was pleasantly surprised that the there wasn’t much stuck to the roller brush, which was also easy to rinse off. Most of the dirt and debris goes into the bin, and the unit does an excellent job separating solids and liquids. Notably, the liquid debris has a snap cover to prevent accidental spills, although the liquid bays might not be big enough to take care of a large spill. Just from steam mopping, half of one the two bays was filled with dirty water. My biggest concern is that the water bin is held on tightly by a plastic latch built into the body of the unit and a groove in the water bin. The latch holds the bin on tightly to the point where I feel like I was using excessive pressure to detach the bin from the unit. I worry that either the bin or the latch is going to break over time.

Another Quality Shark Product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark steam pickup 3 in1 is a pretty impressive floor steam cleaner. This 3 in 1 steam cleaner can scrub your floor, pick up dirt and steam sanitize. What I like is that I have different floors. Tile, Hardwood, and Laminate and this steam cleaner can work on all these floor types. Add stone, vinyl and tile thus making its use universal. On setup attach the handle, add water and off you go. The steam cleaner separates out debris and water through what they term as a self-cleaning roll. I have to say, we have used it three times and the roll seems very clean. The unit comes with a very long cord which is a huge plus to me. The tray is easily emptied. The design allows for you to get into corners, but not all corners. It is lightweight. Easy to maneuver. A no chemical use with just the added water. My wife started cleaning with the floor dirt and the cleaner separated the dirt from the dirty water. The cleaner roller rolls well, but I can't give five stars on the deep scrub aspect. A lot of effort went into a sticky part of the tile floor. It cleans. It cleans very well, but I'm not sold on 'deep cleaning'. Having said that I do think this is a very good steam cleaner and a recommended buy product. The steamer comes with a mounting tray incorporated with a brush roll drying post which just speaks to the Shark quality. Overall I am very satisfied with this product. Shark does it right.

37 weeks pregnant and obsessed!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to invest in a floor steamer for a while and I am happy that I waited for this one. I am a huge fan of Shark products, and the Shark SteamPickup 3-in-1 Mop did not disappoint. This baby is a versatile cleaning tool that makes it easy to sanitize, pick up dirt, and mop my floors all in one go. A must-have for any nesting mom like me. I love how easy it was to setup and use, even with a growing belly, but make sure you read the instructions carefully before using it for special warnings like not using it without wearing shoes. The steam function is great for sanitizing my floors without harmful chemicals, and the pick-up feature makes cleaning up spills and messes a breeze. Why this steamer is worth it? Super simple to use, simple controls, attachments, and decent cord length. The 3-in-1 functionality of course. You can steam, pick up dirt, and mop in one use without hurting your back. The steam cleaning is a natural way to clean without harsh chemicals, making it safe for pregnant women. It sanitizes floors, getting rid of bacteria and germs to help create a healthier environment for you and your family. So if you're a pregnant woman in the nesting phase, or not, the Shark SteamPickup 3-in-1 Mop is a must-have. Highly recommended!

This One’s a Keeper!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this Shark combination steam mop and vacuum. As the saying goes, a jack of all trades is usually a master of none. However that is most definitely not the case with this model. It does what it claims to do, and does it extremely well. I normally have to vacuum before I mop, but this innovative model has eliminated the first vacuuming step. I used it the first time to fully vacuum and steam clean approximately 2000 square feet of engineered hardwood and ceramic tile. After I was done, I was very pleased with how clean and fresh my floors turned out. Shark has always designed innovative and intuitive products and this model is no different. Instructions for its use are attached to each relevant section, so how to use and clean it is never in doubt. The water reservoir is compact, but goes a long way because the steam function is so efficient. How long the water will last before needing to be refilled will depend on the steam level selected. The steam selections are low, medium, and high. I use low on my hardwood and medium or high on the tile. There are a few other features that really make me like this product. First is the 25 foot power cord. This extra-long cord really helps with maneuvering it around with fewer stops to change outlets necessary. Another thing that I like is the compact size which helps me get in and around floor objects without having to stop and move as many thighs. The LED headlight also helps illuminate dark sections of the floor to insure little things are not missed. This product is designed as a combination vacuum and steam cleaner and it superbly fulfills that function, but I would clarify that I consider it more of a light vacuum. This is due to the light suction power and the small debris compartment. If there is a lot of debris to be picked up, I would likely use a traditional vacuum or broom to clean up first because the debris compartment will fill up quickly if there is alot to vacuum up. But I consider this a positive trade off because it is relatively quiet and lightweight compared to a larger and more powerful full size vacuum. Product maintenance is very intuitive and consists of opening the debris compartment, removing and emptying the compartment, and then removing the washable brush roll. I then rinsed out the brush roll, lid, and compartment and left them to dry. It is that easy. I strongly recommend this Shark product. I am very glad that I got it, and am looking forward to using it in the future. It is easy to use and maintain. This product is a keeper that I plan to make a regular part of my cleaning rotation. Shark has once again surprised me with an innovative product that I did not know I needed until I got it.

Great hybrid vacuum and mop for hard floors
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to simplify my life with cleaning my hardwood floors. Usually, cleaning them require me to first make one pass with a vacuum and then use steam mop (a Shark) for a second pass. I would definitely save some time if I only need to do one pass with one device and this is where the Shark SteamPickup 3-in-1 Steam comes in. Now I usually do a full clean (vacuum and mop as opposed to just vacuuming) every two weeks so my floors usually aren't too dirty. That said, the Shark 3-1 did a great job cleaning my hardwood floors. It sucked up whatever small dirt and debris that was present, while doing a good job moping and sanitizing my floors. My floors never felt cleaner. Several features I like about this device from the start. The first is that the cord is sufficiently long. I often have to use a cord extension with my Shark S3501 Steam Pocket Mop because the cord isn't long enough, but you will have no trouble here. Second is that the device is incredibly light and it's silky smooth to maneuver. Unlike the mop I use, the brushroll applies some friction, which is better for wiping away stains. I should mention that this device is rather quiet too. All in all, the 3-1 is easy to operate (it is recommended to use distilled water) - after you set the steam level you just need to step down on the head to cause it to activate. Some caveats though. The suction could be better. I don't expect it to be as good as a vacuum, but sometimes I feel like I need to do more than one pass to pick up very small debris. Also I cannot comment on the longevity too much because I have only owned it for a week so far. Thus, I cannot comment on easy it is to clean the brushroll as cleaning the mop head on my Shark mop was very easy with just throwing the mop head into the laundry. Overall, this is a great device to have if you want to expedite your hard floor cleanup time. While this won't replace a vacuum, it is an excellent alternative to a steam mop.

Perfect for homes with lots of foot traffic!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having the Shark SteamPickup 3-in-1 for my home has dramatically increased my ability to keep my LVP floor clean throughout my home! A tool like this is a must-have if you have a home where a lot of dirty foot traffic occurs, as cleaning dirt, footprints, debris, etc. from my floor is now an effortless task that I can do multiple times a week without feeling like I’m spending large amounts of time cleaning! The main mechanism for floor cleaning is a high-heat “steam roller” (imagine a textured paint roller placed underneath a vacuum cleaner that also releases heated steam), and the cleaner basically drives itself across your floors, steam mopping and picking up debris while you control it - it’s as simple as that! You may need to go over some extra dirty spots on your floor a few times to adequately clean them, but overall the device cleans very well, and using it far beats having to tirelessly scrub dirt off the floor manually! As for notable features, the device has a refillable water tank for generating steam, there are three levels of steam cleaning (the highest being where sanitization of floors occurs), the cleaned floors dry relatively quickly (within a few minutes generally), and while steam mopping, the device picks up any debris it encounters (very well I might add!) into its disposal chamber, which requires emptying between uses. The roller and dirty water container (also part of the disposal chamber) require cleaning/emptying between uses too, as if there is a large amount of dirt collected on/in them, dirt and dirty water can be left as residual streaks on your floor while cleaning. Definitely be sure to wear shoes while operating as well, as the steam and mop head can become very hot in use, and verify before use if your floor can be steam mopped under high heat! Needless to say, cleaning with this is extremely easy and effective, and has greatly helped me keep my floors more consistently clean!

Great and convenient floor cleaner
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent motorized mop/floor steamer. It’s fairly lightweight (7.8 pounds), well-built, and easy to use. There are 3 steam intensity settings, and the cleaner does a great job with mopping our hardwood floors. Since it can also pick up debris, there’s no need to do a preliminary pass with a vacuum (unless there’s a lot of debris -- the waste compartment is pretty small). The steam helps to clean as well as sanitize the floor (and it’s only water that’s used -- no need for pricey cleaning solutions). The head has a nice pivoting action with a good range of motion, making it easier to reach inconvenient areas. Components (like the water tank, debris and liquid collection compartments, and brush roll) are simple to remove for filling/emptying and cleaning. Cleaning is straightforward -- just scrub the components in the sink with dish soap and let them dry. This cleaner is corded -- it would’ve been nice for it to be cordless, but at least I don’t have to worry about a battery inevitably wearing down and needing to be replaced. The cleaner comes with a stand that has a place for the brushroll to dry after maintenance. I have a few other items from Shark/Ninja, and they’ve proven themselves to be reliable makers of high quality products. This looks like another one!

1 and Done Shark Steam Pickup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Three in One Floor Cleaner. Sweep - Steam - Mop Review: The Shark Steam Pickup SD 200 Series is a very nice and lightweight machine for floor cleaning. The only thing that needed assembled was inserting the handle. I liked the fact that it has lights that didn’t glare on the floor and you could easily see what you are cleaning. The hardest part was taking the bottle off to fill it with water. I have arthritic hands and had to have help with it. I feel it will be easier as I use it more. I tried it on 2 different floors-linoleum and tile-and was impressed by the power and ease of use. The steam was hot and visible while cleaning and along with the brush/roll, it got my whole kitchen and bathroom done fairly quickly. There were a couple of spots of food debris that were somewhat hardened on the linoleum. When I followed the instructions-just let it steam for a while, then start the brush up and go over it several times and it lifted right off. The assembly was easy to take apart and clean after finished mopping. It rinsed off and cleaned up very easy. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a three-in-one floor cleaner. I would give this unit a 5-star rating

Squeaky Clean
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This steaming, sanitizing mop is great and I'm very pleased with it. Here are the pros: - It has a long cord for a far reach - Light weight for easy handling - Easy to swivel due to its smaller size - Produces generous amount of steam and has 3 levels of steam - Brushroll picks up small debris well - Sanitizes as it steams - Does a nice job at removing dirty spots or stains - It is easy to clean - It has a dock with a brushroll holder which keeps your floor clean and makes it easy to stow away. Here are the cons: - Since it is somewhat small, it doesn’t cover s very large area - Steam may run out somewhat quickly since it cones out quite fast - Small water holder means you may have to fill it up multiple times for larger areas - It doesn’t pick up long hairs very well. - It picks up smaller debris but not bigger than a quarter or so. That means you have to prepare the area to steam and remove larger debris. Despite some room for improvement, overall, I'm very satisfied with the results.

Solid and Simple!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a simple and easy way to clean the floors. It is also simple to set up. The steamer comes with a decent-length cord. It is also simple to use, and it has multiple modes. To get started, pop off the water holder. Fill it no further than the marked line. Pop the holder back on and plug it in. You can also easily clean the debris from the steamer. There are two buttons you push in, and it pops out the holder to be cleaned. I enjoyed the steamer's ease of use. You don't have to vacuum beforehand, and it is also lightweight. The steamer does produce steam, and the water is very warm to the touch. After using the steamer I was amazed at how clean the floor was afterwards. It wasn't sticky at all and dried quickly. This was mainly on hardwood floors. The benefit of not having to sweep beforehand is another great addition. I can finish two things in one. Sweeping and mopping with the steamer itself. It also doesn't take up much space for storage when not in use. It isn't very loud also while in use.

Great for pet messes, but be mindful of cat litter
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great for pet messes, but you should probably sweep or dry vacuum cat litter first. I have cats and dogs that make all sorts of messes on the marble floors. I was using a cordless mop vacuum from a different brand, but got tired of how finicky it would act and all the dirty water it would leave behind. I decided corded was the way to go for better suction and so I got this shark steam vacuum mop. It works really well. I don’t know if it’s the steam power but it does kind of pull forward like it has a mind of its own while cleaning. It got up old and fresh cat vomit. The older residue needed a few passes. The cat litter it picked up collected and stuck everywhere inside. I knew that would most likely happen since litter is designed to absorb moisture. It wasn’t hard to clean out with a paper towel, just be mindful of it to keep everything clean.

A Great Mop Clean with LIttle Effort
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife says this is a great mop since she didn’t have to use it! But since i did, my review might be more credible. I felt like this was a great purchase and here’s why: I’ve owned another shark mop steamer before in although it was great you had to put a lot of effort into it. This model is low effort since it propels itself. I could see this being a great benefit to somebody who can’t exert a lot of effort when cleaning their floors . It comes with three different levels of steam, comes with a very long cord, has a pretty good sizable reservoir and is easy to assemble since all you have to do out of the box is insert the handle. I used water and about 10 to 20% distilled vinegar mixed in. Although shark says you can use just water. It comes equipped with two LED lights on the front and vacuums at the same time which is collected in a canister underneath a door you removed by pinching the two clips together easily. I cleaned a 2600 square-foot home today and had to refill the reservoir three times on the low steam setting. When I was finished, the roller head was easily removable in order to rinse with dawn soap. I could also remove all compartments and the tray underneath where the roller sits in order to wash them since I just moved into a new home and it had a little bit of extra dirt and dust. The unit is considerably very quiet since it does vacuum you can’t really tell. Even then the low setting it removed some light dried paint drippings which I was impressed with. All in all a very good machine I guess if I had to complain about one thing, I would choose that the roller had could be wider .
