Excellent suction power, easy to clean canister and filter, perfect length power cord.

I want a good vacuum with protection plan so I can go back to exchange it if something wrong go with it. So it's a good vacuum and a good plan.

Within 5 minutes of the first use it ripped a hole in a rug. It was a short pile rug and the Bissell was on the 2nd carpet setting. The beater brushes flipped the corner of the rug and ripped a 1 inch hole in it. The machine has been returned to Bissell (2nd Oct '15) and I'm waiting for a response. Our previous Bissell machine was used for over 6 years (including this rug) with no problem. This is the first problem with any vacuum cleaner in 50 years covering several brands and surfaces from tile to long pile carpets.

I bought this vacuum after owning a Dyson Animal for 5 years. The Dyson died right after the warranty expired. I did not get the extended protection from Best Buy when I got it, UGH i regret THAT. So I will compare this Bissel with the Dyson Animal: LOVE - Great suction - Light weight - Levered head (the body of the machine can go low in levels to reach under the sofas and stuff, very nifty) HATE - The hose is tiny and doesn't extend much so you have to hold the vacuum next to you or it will fall on you. The Dyson hose was superior in all respects. - You cannot turn off the motorized head. - Fur and junk gets stuck in the top cyclone part of the canister, so opening the bottom is not enough. You have to put your hand inside and unscrew it to get everything out. Granted it is easy to get it out and get it in but who wants your hand in all that junk? - The location of the extended wand (tiny one too) is where you put the cord, so when vacuuming you need to hold it in your hand or it will fall. I use it so I am stuck carrying it. COMPARISONS - The suction is great compared to my Dyson. I have 1 Golden, 1 cat, 1 rabbit and the Bissell actually picks up fur very well. Also, the Dyson sometimes had problems with the hay (straw for the rabbit) but the Bissell has suctioned the hay no problems even with its not-too-perfect hose. - I love the lightweight, compared to the Dyson this is a feather. It is easy to go up and down the stairs. - The cord on the Dyson was a lot longer, the Bissell gets the job done but you may need to unplug a couple of times depending on the size of your home. Not a deal breaker. - I am unsure as to how long this vacuum will last, but for the price and considering my Dyson only lasted 5 years I could have bought a new Bissell every year and have money to spare. If I had the choice, I would buy it again (unlike the Dyson, never buying one again!!!) - so yes I would recommend it.

Its no Dyson, but compared to other upright vacuum cleaners it does a good job. It hasn't seemed to loose suction yet, but we've only owned for a few months. Quite powerful, gets dirt out of the carpet that isn't even visible, and is very easy to empty. We have a 1br apartment, and this does a great job keeping the carpets clean. The hose attachments work as well as you would expect them to. Very lightweight and easy to use. Compared to other similarly priced vacuum cleaners we have owned, this one is our favorite (and is our third in 5 years, so that's saying something).

I'll admit, I'm not the greatest when it comes to shopping around for vacuums. However, I took my time, did my research, and ultimately went ahead and bought the 'BISSELL - CleanView Bagless Upright Vacuum'. Compared to the others (no disrespect to Dyson's beauty), this vacuum truly does the most when it comes to a great suction and ease to use compartments. Upon opening the vacuum box, it was extremely easy to assemble, by following the little packet that came with it. It's very user friendly, immensely beautiful, and does the job remarkably well. The key thing here folks, is that you MUST clean your vacuum and keep it in running smoothly. Remembering to replace the filter about every 3 months may be a little bit of a challenge, but after a while, you'll notice the difference that it makes. Wiping down the inside with a damp rag or a quick rinse and full dry, that vacuum will continue to work 100% of the time. Registering for the vacuum was just as simple, all the parts of the vacuum fit into their corrected placements, and the vacuum's power truly shows how much dust is in your home. (And I live in NYC, so...). If you have a great home with a ton of carpet and traction of folks wearing their shoes around the house, then I would HIGHLY recommend this vacuum, and maybe implementing some rules in our own households. ;-) All in all, the Bissell is stellar addition to your home, and gets corners in places that our long arms can't seem to do. A true bang for your buck and worth every penny in my personal opinion.

While I cannot compare this to a $800 Dyson, it does an amazing job for what it is. I use it in a 1500 sq/ft house and it performs well. It replaced an older Bissell that finally gave out on us and this had good reviews and a great price. When I received it in the mail, I was surprised at how light and thin it was. I was about half the size of the vacuum it replaced. It was plugged in and running within 5 minutes of getting it out of the box. It isn't terribly loud (can talk over it and it doesn't sound like its ripping at your carpet) and it pickup up a concerning amount of dirt in the first pass. The canister made it through about 2 rooms before it had to be dumped. Myself or my wife vacuum at least twice a week and the Bissell died about a week before this came in the mail. I believe it was picking up not just new dirt, but dirt my old vac had been missing. I used the attachments on my car and it did just as well with them. It's lightness made it easy to move around the vehicle, however it's hose wasn't as long as I would have liked it to be. All in all, at under $100 for the vacuum and a two-year black tie warrantee plan, I feel like it was worth the money and would recommend it to anybody not wanting to spend "ipad money" on a vacuum.

Very good price, loved the color as an added benefit. Reliable brand, my last Bissell vacuum lasted over 10 years with a lot of wear and tear. Did a great job getting all my long hair off the floor as well as dirt and grime. I went back over an area I had previously vacuumed with another product and it picked up more that was left behind. Pretty good for less than $100. Easy assembly (less than 5 minutes from opening the box to cleaning the floor. Quiet and lightweight.

My old vacuum broke and I needed a replacement. I liked my old one (which was much more expensive than this unit) but this one is better and has surpassed my expectations. It has tremendous suction power, and the automatic cord winder is a welcome feature that I didn't expect at this price point. It comes with extra attachments that normally cost extra (such as the power head for upholstery). It isn't often that you find a quality vacuum for under $100 but this one is a winner.

Got this Bissel vacuum to replace a Hoover Wind Tunnel that was purchased with a protection plan from Best Buy and proved to be a disappointment. Got full purchase price on my return which was applied to this purchase. The Bissel is quiet and easy to use. Does a great job picking up dirt and pet hair on furniture, rugs and tile surfaces. Easy to empty and clean. Comes with a TurboBrush tool, crevice tool, dusting brush and extension wand. Also has a 25 foot retractable cord which is an added pleasure.

This vacuum is very quiet and really gets the job done. It is very easy to clean and maintain. I love the automatic coil up button for the cord!

I love this vacuum. I was extremely surprised at how light weight this was for a vacuum and it still cleans really well. I was surprised how much dirt and dog hair this had picked up off of my floor and how much my old vacuum was missing. I also love the retractable cord feature. The vacuum itself is tiny compared to others I've owned but that makes it much easier to store and tote around compared to most other vacuums out there. Very simple vacuum as far a features but gets the job done quick and painless and is right on price point. Easy to put together and use. Would deff recommend for the average household.

I really like this vacuum. It is light weight and very easy to use. The wand is user friendly. I also like the fact that the power cord has an automatic rewind option. Also the price is very reasonable. I also have a Dyson and this one works as well as a Dyson. I actually have 2 bissell vacuums so that I have one on each level of my home so that I do not have to carry the vacuum up and down the stairs. Also it is easy to empty.

this thing cleans carpets very well and is a breeze clean itself. attachments are very useful. strong suction given its price. highly recommended.

I've been using this vacuum cleaner for about 2 months, it's very easy to use, powerful and lightweight. And the price is very attractive. Would definitely recommend it

I bought this vaccuum for a new apartment with new carpet. The first time I used it I was surprised at all the dirt that was picked up off carpet that was supposed to be relatively clean. It's powerful, easy to handle, extremely quiet, and lightweight. The fact that it was also affordable made it even better. Definitely a good buy.

Couldn't have asked for much better from this vacuum. It was easy to put together, it's compact, light weight, has great suction and clean up after vacuuming is a piece of cake. For the price I wouldn't pass it up. The color options are always fun as well, I picked myself up the orange one.

easy to push great suction and the the best part simple to empty the canister when full other vacs u would have to bang on it but not this one fast easy clean out . light weight smooth rolling one of my better choices in vac that i have made ..

Great for the price, good suction, not very heavy.. The retractable cord is a plus with a toddler in the house who likes to unravel it. It's fairly quiet while on too, which is also good. Only bad thing Is that it lets off a burning smell when I've used the vacuum for over 30 minutes at a time.
