I decided to get this over a full size vacuum as my apartment is mainly hardwood flooring. This vaccum does the job on carpet. My only complaint is that it takes 8+ hours to charge this thing and it will last for only 10 minutes when you put it to use. Plus you have to clean the vacuum after every use especially the brush roll.
