    If you own the new Galaxy Fold.i would recommend having it.i think it would be expensive to repair if it falls on floor.

    I purchased a Galaxy S20 Ultra with the Geek Squad Complete Protection Plan on 7/5/20. At the time the agent advised if anything happened to the phone Best Buy would just replace it. Well, I dropped the phone and it cracked. I took the phone in and was advised it has to be sent to Samsung and is a 3 - 4 week process. The website even indicates: Drops, spills and cracks. Geek Squad Disclaimer 5 We'll replace your device if you accidentally damage it by dropping or spilling on it in the course of normal use. Why doesn't this indicate the phone has to be sent off instead of "replaced"? I read the 16 page Pdf and it talked about replacement or reimbursement throughout it and never indicated the item had to be sent off for weeks. I have an appt with another Geek Squad agent so hopefully the one I spoke with today was ready to leave and didn't really want to deal with me.

    Accidental Geek Squad Protection

    I purchased the 2-year plan when I bought my 512GB Z Fold 4. 6 days later, the inner panel would only light up on one side and the other side would have a few pixels that would blink. They replaced the phone for me, free of charge since it had been less than a week. 10 months later, after dropping the phone a few times, it would no longer open completely, it would stop at about 80% and the inner screen protector was peeling. I was told by geek squad that they could send it to Samsung to try to get it covered under warranty but it could take 3 to 4 weeks and they may deny it, or I could use my geek squad protection and replace it. I replaced it. $200 to get a new (refurbish) $2k phone, yes please.

    The Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G is a great phone! It looks great and it's fast - I upgraded from the Note 8 - so it took me a while to get used to both the volume controls and the stylus holder being moved to the other side of the phone. But, I do like the finger print reader placed back in the front of the phone. In fact it's under the screen and works very well! The camera shoots phenomenal photos! The screen looks good, too! Although, I would much rather have a flat screen and so I don't much care for the curved edges which not only makes the phone difficult to hold on to but distorts the image pin the edges. Get yourself a nice phone case to protect your phone - it will be easier to hold on to and also protect the huge camera bump on the back and the screen!

    My cell phone died I have always purchased my phones from Best Buy One of the biggest reasons is the customer service. All the associates are knowledgeable in many departments. Marc was our salesman what an amazing young man, He went way above and beyond, Marc didn't try to up sale me, He recommended the phone and the two-year protection, which I agreed on for what I needed. The store showed one in inventory. Marc looked in every possible nook and cranny in Best Buy. to locate the phone. He didn't give up until he found it. Who does that nowadays? That's what customer service is all about, and that is why I will always recommend Best Buy. And the reason I will always be a customer. Thanks again, Marc.

    I think you're better off paying it all at once up front (if you can) I did the monthly plan and because it's something that comes out automatically each month in the event you forget or there is an issue with the billing information your warranty may lapse which could be the difference between you getting a replacement phone and you not being able to. Aside from that the warranty itself is outstanding. Just about any and everything imaginable is covered and with the cost of a new phone these days for under $10/mo you'll be very happy if anything happens to your device throughout the 20/months or however long you purchase it for.

    I bought the plan but luckily have never had to use it. It is like any insurance. It is expensive but worth it for peace of mind. I hope to never have to use it. If I am correct, the plan does not cover a replacement for a new product. Make sure you are aware of that. You will receive a refurbished phone and have to pay a deductible. However, the phone is expensive. I would have to keep paying for it if it was lost or broken.

    I bought a pixel 3 about a year ago and it was not charging properly, it was not accepting usb c accessories with out holding them just so in the slot, battery life was about 2 hours when on battery save mode. Google said too bad factory warranty is up, Verizon wanted to give me $100 in trade for a phone that cost me almost $1000 a year ago, SAD STORY....except..geek squad took my junk pixel back and gave me full retail credit towards a phone of my choosing. I would've been totally hosed BOOO GOOOGLE yay geek squad.

    Geek Squad GSP is great for worry free protection

    I purchase this to protect my investment on my new phone. If your phone provider doesn't offer replacement insurance or their cost is high then you can get the GSP protection for your phone. Competitive price and good service. I have use this service on other devices as well and it has been a good insurance on a variety of products from different manufactures. You never know if you will get a lemon and its great that I can use my expensive device and not worry about it breaking before I paid the thing off or it breaks out of manufacture warranty.

    I am always hesitant to bite on the up-sell at checkout (extended warranties, etc.) like this, but we took the option (don't remember exactly cost) on 2 Samsung S10+ phones last summer (phones like $1,900 as I recall for both). My wife dropped her phone (one too many times - sort of a daily thing), and it developed a flaw in the display. $199 later she got a fully brand new(ish) phone, and great support getting it set-up from new phone. Glad we took the Geek Squad service plan!

    I love the geek squad. I had my phone insured through Verizon and when something went wrong I had to send the phone back to Verizon. The geek squad is right there. They're smart, efficient and quick. I've used them to unlock a computer my dad gave me. Always wonderful service!

    The associate(Willy) that helped me with getting an appointment to have antivirus added to my laptop and also installed Home Office that I purchased with the laptop. Willy took care of every right away and didn't have to wait or leave my new laptop overnight. Willy was friendly, very knowledgeable and also smelled very good...lol I went back the next day to drop off my tablet to get alittle TLC and he was awesome at assisting with moving storage from my tablet to the SD card to provide more room for updates. I am so happy to have the Geek Squad on my side.

    So, thankfully, I got the GSP- Complete protection for my phone cause he came in handy. I didn't get the chance to get the protection, when I got my phone but got it I think a week later. I got it on a Friday, I happen to have cracked & shattered the back of my phone on the following Monday. I did order a phone case, but per usual, it came in the mail, the next day. Go figure. It would've helped more to get it before I cracked my phone, but atleast, I have the GSP to help me out.

    I've bought Geek Squad warranties before and never had an issue. This is the first phone I've purchased where I added the warranty. It's less than the Verizon price and the Geek Squad has helpful employees and it's right in town. We compared costs and benefits and worked out well. I feel confident in the warranty and what it will deliver on if needed. I think the prices are very reasonable.

    Peace of Mind is worth it

    I got this for my Samsung Z fold 3. I paid ~$1400 for the phone, so the extra ~$250 for the protection is a small price to pay for the peace of mind, especially considering that the foldable screen in inherently more delicate than a gorilla glass screen on a flat screen. Fortunately, I have not had to use this service, but my past experiences with Best Buy service leads me to expect good customer service in the future.

    Cheaper than phone insurance

    Geek Squad protection on my phone gives me peace of mind with quick replacement if something goes wrong. It's cheaper than phone insurance through my carrier. The best part is it's not a third party that you have to deal with you deal directly with Best Buy versus a third party and your phone carrier. If my phone breaks I can go to Best Buy and get one that day, just amazing!
