    They can help you in limited areas. Originally the geek squad could help you with any of your electronic problems and installation now. Only with a few of your problems, you couldn’t get someone else to do it elsewhere at a higher level of technical knowledge.

    Had a Geek Squad covered Samsung TV crap out at the 3 year mark (use for about 4 hours per day average). This plan replaced the TV; however, the closest model to my TV was about $100 higher in price (my original TV I bought on sale for more than $100 off mind you)..so I had to pay the extra $100 to get same model or downgrade to a different model/ manufacturer. They should replace it with comparable product, and not base replacement on whether it is on sale or regular price.

    Good plan, poor options to transfer

    I purchased this plan to give with a gift for a birthday present I was giving, a brand new bluray player. I was assured you can transfer ownership of the plan to someone else. You can, but honestly it is a PAIN. Best Buy needs to create a website that can automatically handle such changes or allow more tools to do this in store. It has taken two phone calls and nearly 90 minutes of my time to have the plan properly changed to the new owner. This is inexcusable, and the only reason it gets two stars is due to the plan itself being very good and I would still recommend over an internet plan like Square Trade. The experience to gift the plan though is what drops three stars here.

    Sony Blu-ray players have become short-lived

    My first Sony Blu-ray DVD player lasted 5 years, my second one 2.5 yrs, and this one less than a year and a half. It shuts off, won't respond to the remote, has to be unplugged, and shut off for at least 2-5 minutes, then restarted. It's gotten to the point where I have to do this about 15 times before it stays on. Getting it to eject the tray for a DVD is worse.

    I’ve never once used the Geek squad. I don’t even remember buying it. Havnt needed it so far.

    To be honest i baught it to go with my lg oled 65 but it freezes on most movies even when they are new. If you have a high end hone theater i would look into another player
