I bought this Chromebook to supplement my gaming laptop. This is used for just browsing the internet, watching YouTube videos and just basic things like looking up walkthroughs when playing videogames. My only complaint with this is the speakers on it as they are pretty weak but serviceable however it’s nothing a Bluetooth speaker can’t fix. Overall I’m satisfied with the item.

I bought this laptop to have something to play Xbox Gamepass on while I'm traveling and I have not been disappointed. The controller just needs to be connected with a usb-c wire cause it doesn't work correctly when it's connected through the bluetooth. It's a good size screen, cheap price and runs well.

Only used it a few times, so far but it works great! Lightweight but sturdy, quick and easy! LOVE the fact that it comes with a USB-C charger and the free case is a really nice bonus too! See how it holds up over time but so far, not at ALL disappointed... especially since i got it on sale! Overall, EXTREMELY happy!

We bought this for our 7th grader since he was planning to homeschool this year. It has been a wonderful tool for his learning. It was a great price and does everything he needs it to do, plus it is touch screen which is great!

I have had this laptop for over 6 months and no issues. I replaced my think pad for this Acer. If you are an avid google user this laptop is for you. Performs very well, battery life is great. I would recommend this laptop to my family and friends.

I bought this to mainly watch YouTube and stream movies and tv shows, and it works great! The 1080p IPS display is incredible at this price point, and it looks good. It is set to get updates until June of 2029.

Any other laptop for this price would be 10 times worse, and even though it’s not the fastest thing, the specs are amazing! I use it for school and as a travel laptop and it hasn’t let me down! Also, it comes with 1 year of free Google one with a vpn and 100GB of storage. Love this thing!

Not good. I bought this in late October as a Christmas gift for my daughter. We have had nothing but trouble with it since we have turned it on. First, it would not let me make her an account so I had to make it on another device. Second, once I had to sign in and verify as her parent, it had said I could not be verified. We clicked try again and have been on a “please wait” screen for almost an hour.

I have never been much of a Chromebook person - as a student, I used to crave more functionality out of Chromebook than they gave. Fast-forward a few years, as everything has turned virtual, I can easily say that Chromebook are now a worthy competitor as companion laptops, and the Acer Chromebook 314 competes well! This Chromebook is slim, sleek, lightweight, comes in a nice color, has excellent battery life, and has a good keyboard, well lit and color-rich touch screen and hinge! It also comes with a nice carrying sleeve to protect the Chromebook, a nice addition! In terms of hardware, it lacks a bit in the video quality from the webcam (could be better but is very usable) and the responsiveness of the trackpad at times, but it honestly does the trick if you're just looking for a simple computer to bring with you on the go, as both are still very decent and usable for web browsing/navigation and video calls. Where this Chromebook shines is in it's integration with your android phone, and it's simple software that can seemingly do anything you'd need it to nowadays with modern Chrome OS. From unlocking the Chromebook with your smartphone (by simply unlocking your smartphone), to being able to seamlessly use your phone's data connection for internet, receive your phone's notifications on the Chromebook, sync google data and Chrome tabs, and even run android apps, the Chromebook is an absolute essential companion to any android phone and interconnectivity champion! I also haven't had any performance issues with this Chromebook, as Chrome OS is fairly lightweight software, so the specs of this Chromebook are a sweet spot for performance at a decent price point! Also, Chrome OS natively supports running a Linux terminal in the OS, so programming is possible on these for anyone who may be considering that before purchasing! Currently, I am attending college to get my masters degree. I have been carrying around a powerful, yet heavy gaming laptop, which is overkill for my college needs. As soon as I got this Chromebook, I logged in with my existing Google credentials and I was ready to use any of my files in no time, thanks to Google Drive. The Acer Chromebook is much lighter, quieter, and has a longer lasting battery than my gaming computer. What this means is that on a single charge, I can spend 4-5 hours in college without worrying about being near an outlet to charge my computer. This is great, because I don’t always make it on time to sit near an outlet. The screen size is just big enough to read most files without zooming in. When I do need to zoom in, I can do that with the touchpad or by pinching the screen like a tablet. Having a touch screen helps in some situations and it makes for a smoother working flow. The Acer Chromebook also came with a laptop sleeve which has a side zipper for pens or other small office needs. The sleeve is well padded and makes me feel comfortable tossing it into my backpack without worrying that it’ll get damaged. I have tried several brands of Chromebooks, but this Acer is the one that feels most like an actual laptop. I really enjoy how the keyboard keys are spaced like a normal-sized keyboard and how silent they are. --- APPROVAL --- Overall, this is a great Chromebook for any highschool/college student whose needs don’t go beyond a word processing or presentation tool. It’s great for web surfing and checking emails.
