First off, I've had several Altec Lansing speakers over the past few years and most have been anywhere from flawed to junk. Xpedition 4 would shut itself off all the time. Returned it and got another one, same deal. Street Shock speaker wouldn't turn on when first switched on, then would come on like 10 minutes later. After a while it just pops when turned on and never actually turned on. Altec Lansing just makes very low quality products, but tries to charge premium prices. After this HydraMini issue, I believe I'm done giving Altec Lansing more chances to prove themselves. They just make lousy Bluetooth speakers. The issue with the HydraMini is with the TWS linking using two speakers. One speaker works fine by itself. Sure, battery life is really bad, particularly with lights on. Not much bass from this speaker, but then again it is small and you really shouldn't expect something this size to have much bass. It's when you link two speakers together that the real problem arises. Linking two Hydramini speakers was simple enough using the steps instructed. Problem is after a little while playing they will start to get out of sync and sound like an echo. After it gets worse the speakers will like briefly pause, then are back in sync. Or sometimes the sound will just start cutting out for a little bit, then will quickly pause and then be back to normal. And sometimes they will just do a quick pause while playing for no apparent reason. I switched to use the blue speaker as the main speaker to see if it would make any difference compared to when I had the black speakers as the primary speaker, but still the same issue. Sorry, but this is the last straw for Altec Lansing. I've given this company more chances than they deserve to prove they have changed, but they haven't. Bye, Felicia.

Not a super deep base, but for $20, they work well on the patio. Nice to have for grilling and enjoying cocktails with friends. Nice you can control volume and such from your phone. The pairing is great, but it can get a little picky, even with their instructions. I found I pair them first with bluetooth off on my device and then turn the bluetooth on and it worked every time. Good sound, just wish you could have them remember you don't want any lights flashing or on, have to change it every single time you turn them on.

Excellent compact speaker. Great high and midrange the bass is a little weak but adequate for this size speaker.

I bought this for my niece. It is sounds good, lacks in the lows, but it is clear and can go anywhere.

This sounded bad. I ended up taking the speaker back because at high values, the music distorted and the base sounds so muffled. I returned this one and got a different brand.

Easy to set up. Easy to use. Decent volume but only up to a point then bass becomes distorted, "very" fuzzy if too loud. Can only go so far with volume. Will try it out for a few days to see if worth keeping. Ok for price point. Nice color.
