GTA V 1080p, 60fps with no graphics card? I'm in!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is great. I can run minecraft smooth as can be 48 chunks out, GTAV medium at a solid 60fps, and probably a bunch of other stuff I haven't gotten around to trying yet. The little guy is not cut out for the still horribly unoptimised PUBG, but if I wanted to, I could drop an RX570 or 580 in there and still be in great shape with 4 cores and a 4ghz boost clock. A great way to build a budget or starter system that can be upgraded later. Just be sure to give it 16gb of fast ram as with any Ryzen. I did corsair 3000mhz OC to 3200 and it's on point.

Good processing power, good graphics power
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good processing power, good graphics power, low power/heat. I mostly use it for home theater where it is awesome. I coupled it with 32GB of matched ram and a 500 GB SSD. It even edits and transcodes HD videos quickly. The integrated video is fast enough for most video games, and that surprised my game geek son as much as it did me. Some games get a little rough at times, but few of them aren't worth playing. It allowed me to build a very quiet home theater system; I love this processor. The drives were life extending upgrades to an older AMD based HT CPU . The system booted strait up, downloaded updated drivers, and went strait to work with only one reboot. It has run around 12 hours a day for a month now - flawless.

Amazing budget cpu
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing processor for the money if you're looking for a budget system. This processor includes Vega graphics, making it one of the best for a system if you're not planning on using a standalone graphics card. The 4 core 8 thread cpu portion is more than enough for light to moderate gaming, as well as productivity. Something to note however is that the graphics portion of the chip will take a few gigabytes of ram from your system to run it effectively. I would recommend at least 16 gigabytes of memory for best preformance. The included cpu cooler is also great, as it is free and effective, saving around $20 for a cheap third party version with the same preformance.

Excellent CPU
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a CPU with a GPU for a DeskMini A300 build. The CPU handles everything extremely well, and the Vega 11 graphics is a very good alternative to a dedicated graphics card. The system memory is shared with the GPU, so it makes sense to install the fastest SODIMM DDR4 you can afford. Also, count on having 2 GB less RAM in your system. The only downside is that for a DeskMini build the supplied heatsink and fan are too tall, had to get a compact heatsink/fan combo. This will be the CPU/GPU combo to get for a while, as the newer 4xxxG CPUs will only come with Vega 8 graphics.

Great value and Exceptional On-board graphics
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This APU (CPU + GPU) is a beast. At the time of purchase I got it for MSRP and is a great option if you are saving up for a powerful graphics card. You can play any modern PC game if you willing to lower video settings and/or resolution. Even on it's own as a just your CPU (after you install a dedicated GPU) It will hold its own for your normal computing tasks.

Best Processor with graphics money can buy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For basic computing tasks it is more than enough and can handle most games at 720p or 1080p with lower settings. If building a computer on a tight budget looking to play single player games and do basic computing this processor is what you need. If you want maximum FPS for competitive gaming look elsewhere. For what it is this APU is fantastic.

Nice combo for a beginner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since this is a first time building a pc and a lot of researching and watching YouTube lol. I decided to go with the Ryzen 5 3400g with its integrated Vega 11 graphics for now which it’s great for me I have no problem playing the games I like. And with all the over priced and out of stock graphics card I’ll can wait then maybe when it settle down??? I can upgrade my cpu and get the graphics card l want.

A+ Budget Build
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With GPU's still expensive and the 3400G being an APU, decided to do a budget build with headroom to upgrade down the road. Great buy!

Gaming without a discrete graphic card!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a gaming PC but with GPU and CPU prices out of reach (3-4x MSRP).. I settled for this APU. Ryzen 3400G has Vega 11 so i paired it with 16GB 3200Mhz RAM, B450 Motherboard and Samsung Evo NVME drive. I can play the Witcher 2 (2012 game) on high settings at 1080p with an average framerate around 32fps. You can overclock the CPU and iGPU for a bit more performance but the speed is limited to RAM speed. You will get an even higher frame rate with 3466 Mhz RAM, just make sure your motherboard support those speed. My mother keep crashing when i overlocked my 3200Mhz ram to 3466Mhz so i changed it back down to 3200Mhz. This is the APU to get if you want to play something now and wait until the prices of CPUs and GPUs come back down to earth.

Great APU, fast...cool...and productive!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I built a custom PC with the AMD Ryzen 5 3400G and I'm very pleased with the performance and capabilities of this APU. My programs and web browsing is super fast and workflow is excellent. The best part is that a dedicated graphics card is not needed and this means that you can save up money for other important components.

Excellent product at this price point
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the best mid-level processor available with integrated graphics available when I needed to do my new build. It has been very stable and hit the performance benchmarks that I need given that I don't really game or currently have the need for a discreet graphics card.

Great IGP for modest gaming in a mini ITX PC
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for a mini itx HTPC build. I used an Asrock B450 Fatal1ty mini ITX motherboard in a small RGEEK L80 case that is 200mmx200mmx80mm. It looks very mac mini like. I am replacing a Gigabyte BRIX AMD A8-5557m based machine. The 3400G has better GPU performance than the old BRIX. The old BRIX couldn't play anything modern. It struggles too much. The 3400G does let me play a more modern variety of games. Some games do require me to drop to 720p with medium details, others can run at 1080p. The 3400G will not stand against a dedicated discrete midrange or higher GPU but for a tiny PC build with some gaming chops it is fantastic. I wanted small, cool, and quiet as my requirements. And for the most part this build is good on all 3 points. I am always paranoid on temperatures being high because of cramped space in the chassis. And I used a couple extra fans for better cooling and airflow but that adds noise. Though when movie watching or game playing the pc noise is not distracting. I used a Noctua NH-L9A cpu cooler because its quieter than the included Wraith Spire cooler and also delivers better cooling than the Wraith and its shorter height compared to the Wraith was needed to fit physically in my selected case. The Wraith Spire as a pack in cooler is fine and if this was a non HTPC build, I would have used it but for this build the Noctua made more sense. It's hard to review a cpu on it's own. The whole build has to be evaluated. That being said, the shortcomings of this build I feel are based on my other component selections. The one thing I would not change is the 3400G.

Need updated version
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good CPU but, AMD needs to release the updated version of this. Not sure why this version never got Zen 2 and is only Zen+. Still one of the better APU on the market. Just need to drop the price to make it a good value. Plays games fairly well. Does struggle with some of the newer titles at 1080. Was able to play some older games at 2k resolution and low settings.

Hands down the best HTPC CPU available now!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great value for what you are getting. I would highly recommend this for HTPC or a casual gamer that plays light games. AMD has really created something special with their Ryzen line up. The best part of owning an AMD CPU is you can upgrade the CPU in the future as their motherboard normally supports the same socket for at least 3-4 generations. Well back to this CPU, it can support 4K 60hz playback with ease. I use it along side my TV to stream and watch content. Occasionally I will use it to emulate older consoles and works flawlessly.
