Exactly what I was hoping for! Upgraded from a Ryzen 3600, simple drop in upgrade after a BIOS update. Timespy CPU score went from 6817 to 10405. I waited for the 5700X3D because I was hoping I could use the Wraith cooler that I kept from my old 3900X CPU and to my excitement it works great so far. CPU boosts to 4100 ish and holds steady at 67 degrees Celsius. Idle temp is around 41 Celsius. MW3 FPS saw a big boost compared to my old 3600. Still playing around with it, but impressed so far. Best news is it appears you can run this on a good air cooler and not melt the CPU. I attribute that to the low boost clocks. I am using a Gigabyte Aorus Pro B550M with the latest BIOS, 16 GB 3200 DDR4, 3060ti

Absolutely love my new Ryzen 7 5800X3D!! Upgrading from the 5800x while going to an RTX 4070. Its a dream combo! Call of Duty will give me 150+frams @1080p & 120 Frames in 1440p. Bottlenecking is not an issue with this combo and highly recommend within the budget. The cooling phase is great, CPU will not emmulate a toaster in your pc!!! I dont really have anything bad today. For the price, what els could you ask for? Its a SOLID cpu that will atand for the ages.

I used this CPU for building a new system using some old parts I had lying around. I was surprised to know that my old B350 motherboard would support this CPU, after a bios update. I paired this cpu with an RTX 4060 and performance has been very smooth and stable. The advertised “3D V-Cache” is definitely doing its thing and keeping frame rates high and consistent. It’s very similar to the 5800X3D in performance, but at $100 cheaper, this cpu is a no brainer. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a budget CPU!

I wouldnt call it an upgrade for me personally. I wasnt doing any core loaded work, so I sidegraded from a 5900x to the 5700x3d. I play at 1440p so my frame gains arent much, but the frame time and lows are consistently better. Plus I use less power. Would recommend if you want a cheaper x3d am4 cpu. The 5600x3d is exclusive to another retailer that I would recommend over the 5700x3d, but if theyre too far away, this is still totally worth it.

Great gaming performance and the last hurrah for AM4. Despite using an older socket this can keep up with much newer CPUs. Highly recommend if you're on AM4 with no immediate plans to upgrade.

"Side graded" from a 5900x to the 5700x3d. Wanted a 5800x3d but at twice the cost for 5 to 10% improvement just wasnt worth it. Much better 1% lows. I dont miss the 12 cores. X3d is the real thing. Im seeing much more stable frames in world of warcraft. Especially the main cities and raids. I have also been playing star citizen which gets huge gains from the increased cache. Really great value, am4 is still alive and well for those not wanting to jump to AM5. I have this paired with a 3080ti and 48gb or ddr4 3600 ram. Playing in 4k.

Upgraded from a 3900x to this 5700x3D. All games I have had a performance gain from the 3D vcache. Anywhere from 10-20% uplift in most games I play. Well worth it and an amazing CPU for the price, highly recommend

Bought this as a drop-in replacement for a 5600X CPU, running on a B450 motherboard with a Wraith Prism air cooler (cooler model that shipped with 2700X CPU years ago). No issues! Incredible upgrade!

This thing is a beast for the money! It only trails the 5800x3d by about 4% overall. This cpu has the best gaming performance on am4 for the money and should be a no trainer to buy.

I bought this processor as an upgrade for my system going from a r5 2600x, it was a major uplift for me. Went from being cpu bottlenecked to actually being able to game at 1440p along with my amd 7800xt

The biggest boost in my upgrade to this cpu wasnt the fps highs, it was the fps lows. My now lack of stuttering in 4k gaming has been so nice to experience. Keeping most games above 50 fps instead of dropping into low 20s or even single digits is truly underrated.
