    Good tablet , crappy battery

I had an IPad Air ( 16 G) and needed a bit more storage. I replaced it with this tablet. Not a bad screen ect...... but it is ALWAYS plugged in! I don’t use it much , morning to check emails , at night to check weather, surf the web a bit but by NO means a heavy user . The battery life is Terrible! Wish I would have just stayed with my previous tablet . If you don’t mind leaving it plugged in all the time, this is for you . Only 3 months old . Apple disappoints .

Downgrade from 2 years ago even at $80 off

Let me preface this with the fact that I am a devout android user. I got the iPad air for its performance. I specifically used my old iPad to watch shows, movies, streaming services, etc. I really loved the air's performance. It was a good screen at the time and reliable. With this current model I find it's not as clear eg. Baseball service looks like scrambled 80s TV screen. Some others work better, but even at $250 specifically for watching programming, it's constantly buffering. It's slower than my air. I checked the speed to see if that was the issue and I get 30-50 mb/s and that far exceeds the min requirements. Even the best newest addition for the air the finger print scanner is not very responsive compared to my much cheaper moto phones that are practically instantaneous. I have to say after about a month I feel like I got much better performance from my air. I still use it as it seemed like it was on its way out, but has had some sort of rejuvenation of sorts. So, if you want to use this to watch streaming services I'd look at other options as it's been a bit of a disappointment for me and that's what I wanted this for.

    Disappointed at What I Purchased

I like this tablet since it has a modern look and feel to it. However, the keyboard is small so you have to get used to typing using a smaller than normal keyboard. More importantly, be sure to do your research, because if you're not tech savvy efficient, you might purchase this tablet rather than a tablet that is more efficient for your needs. For example, this tablet is only hot-spot capable ~ if you want to use a SIM card, you need the tablet that is cellular capable and this one is not. Unfortunately, the salesperson at Best Buy didn't inform me of that (even after I tried to explain my needs and uses of this tablet). Now, using a hot spot might be simple for others, but this isn't the most convenient way to access data/internet for me. I wish I was more knowledgeable about the difference before I purchased. And although my purchase was in November (and Best Buy states they are extending returns and exchanges), I can't do anything about this. Needless to say, I will no longer rely on Best Buy as an expert for some of my computer/technology needs.

In my opinion, this is an iPad Air that allows you to use Apple Pencil. Don’t waste your money getting it, if you can buy an iPad Pro even if refurbished, or used of any edition will be much worth your money than this iPad.

    IPad tablet review

Bought this as a Christmas present for my mother whose best friend got one and loved it. Her son is a techie but found hard to set up not being familiar with apple products as I have always used Android products. Think apple asks for too much personal info to be stored on the device for safety reasons.otherwise it is a good product that my mother loves having though more costly than an android version. Whatever mom wants she gets because she is awesome!

    Defective Battery

Generally iPads are great products. This is probably my fourth or fifth. But, this one had a battery that wouldn't last 2 days when I bought it (even in airplane mode). The battery has also started to fail "instantly" at points when the battery levels shows as much as 50% which frequently catches me by surprise. Then, when plugged in, it takes a long time for it to charge enough to even wake up. Nothing to complain about except the lousy battery performance.

Actually kind of surprised with this. never used it that often and finds it hard to believe I beeen having as much trouble with it as I have encountered . Will be bringing it in and hope that my apple care covers it or they can see what th e problem is , diagnose it and render me the courtesy of fixing it for me at no cost. This will also determine if I continue with apple.

Bought this due to rave reviews. Not happy. Awkward to use compared to my android. Droid is more user friendly. I do not do games, considering them to be a waste of time. Do not like all the Apple apps that keep showing up at inopportune times. Maybe, with time and use, I will become more adept. If not it will be for sale.

This is a decent device for simple things, but after using the Microsoft Surface Pro, and realizing it is a full power computer, I have not been able to go back. I would have saved my money, and just gotten the Surface, had I known about the power gap.

The new ipad gets very warm when I use it to do crosswords. I exchanged it at BestBuy and the second one does same thing. I returned the second one to BestBuy. My old (2012) ipad did not do this. I have used other ipads and they do not get warm.
