I bought this M2 MacBook Air during the Black Friday sale, to replace my 2015 The MacBook. The good: beautiful colour, Touch ID makes it very convenient and efficient, runs smoothly. The bad: fingerprint marks are very obvious. The ugly: there’s a patch of discolouration over the touch pad which doesn’t seem to go away (photos included). the MacBook Air “sweats” when using it on soft surfaces. (Both are known problems of the MacBook Air). Overall, I’m satisfied with the purchase: it does what it’s supposed to do, for a person who uses the MacBook for reading, browsing, research work and preparing keynote presentations.

Awesome laptop, I havent owned a mac since 2010 so coming back to a new and improved mac is a pretty good experience. it syncs with my phone and watch very well and it never even gets hot. I have the basic model I guess but as a person who owns rigs with i9+3080 setups, this one isn't for gaming but does everything my gaming rig can do, except gaming... WHICH IS WHY I GOT IT! But, it CAN run stuff up to Aethersx2, Dolphin, and everything under that. believe it or not it can be a gaming machine even the basic model but dont expect it to run AAA titles on ultra, you gotta be realistic. My office gets super hot even running chrome on my gaming rigs so my macbook has been my go to for most things like entertainment and web browsing. I can even use it for my music apps since apple has really good music processing logic. overall i dont mind the slower SSD since i attach a usbc 3 one and everything runs fine, not too noticeable of a difference unless you're a spec purist. i knew what i wanted out of a laptop and this one goes beyond my expectations tbh.

Love my new laptop! Got it for college work and everything is really seamless. I already have other Apple products so it’s nice to be able to move from one device to another. The battery life is great I only have to charge it every few days. It doesn’t get hot under the bottom either. Speakers sound good. I’m very impressed with the product. Comes with a charger and ready to go out of the box. (And the charger matches the laptop itself) I haven’t used a Mac since elementary school but the interface is very similar to using an iPhone or iPad.

I got this computer to get me through nursing school, I originally had the MacBook Pro 15 in with the touch-bar 2017 version and this MacBook Air 13 in is a lot more convenient to be carrying around campus, it does not heat up or freeze when working on my clinical simulations, research articles or my many homework assignments.

I have no negative things to say about the M2 Macbook Air! I compared it to my old 2020 Macbook Pro and it surpasses it by such a long shot in performance. M2 Macbook Air is fanless and I haven’t even felt it the slightest bit of warm, I’m in love with this laptop :) Also the starlight color is so majestic

Laptop works amazing. My previous laptop would heat up easily when I barely had any programs in use, now even when I have many windows and apps open, the laptop remains cool.

    The peak of laptop design

The M2 MacBook Air really is the peak of laptop design. It is incredibly fast, yet produces little heat and even has no need for a fan. It is extremely thin and light, yet still packs in a 13.6" screen and impressive battery life (easily 8+ hours). The only complaint I have is that the base model only comes with 8GB of RAM. While normally that would be a deal breaker, the M-series design, with its unified memory architecture and extremely fast SSD, largely mitigates any issues with only having 8GB of RAM.

I have been super impressed with the performance of this macbook. Love the midnight blue color. Extremely portable. Does run a little hot when watching videos for an extended time. Love that the magsafe charger is back.

I am so glad that I traded in my old MacBook for this one. I was really on the fence about trading in because my previous MacBook was only 3 years old but it was soooo slow and sounded like it was gonna blow up whenever I had more than 3 tabs open at once. I know that it was a base model but I remember being disappointed the day I bought it when the fans immediately went full throttle upon start up. The M2 MacBook Air is amazing! I also got the base model but it doesn't feel like one. This MacBook runs smoothly and I haven't had any problems with it, doesn't even get warm to the touch when I have multiple applications open at once. Gets kinda warm when I open the Sims 4 but that's expected with only 8gb of memory. I bought this laptop mainly for school and I am so glad I did.

I really like this Mac. It’s the perfect size for what I need and I like the look as it’s very sleek. It’s quite, doesn’t over heat, it’s really fast and it’s not a requirement to shut it down after use.

This compact laptop is great! I use it for daily school work, gaming, and editing. When gaming the MacBook has a gaming mode but I still experience a little bit of lag. On the other hand this thing handles editing like a beast it is extremely smooth and it stays cool for about 2 hours then it starts to heat up and get a bit laggy. If you have a iPhone or iPad they work great with the features on the Mac. For example, say you want to copy and paste from your iPhone to your MacBook with just a click and drag you can do that. Overall this laptop has been the best bang for my buck. Though the price may seem intimidating it is SO worth it.

    Better than a 2015 mbpro.

Was upgrading from a 2015 mbpro, so I knew the improvement would be substantial. On my old macbook pro, Word documents—hundreds of pages, tracked changes, comments, templates, etc.—would make the base of the machine hot. The fan would spin loudly, the thing would freeze. Not so with this macbook air. The thing is whip fast and silent. I can have a ridiculous amount of documents (tracked changes, all the bells and whistles) up at once, and this thing doesn't so much as stutter or get hot. It's incredible--and incredibly lightweight. Hard to believe an AIR is better than my PRO used to be, but there you have it.

This is a great laptop. It is very lightweight and does not seem to radiate an extreme amount of heat. The keyboard is lit which is a nice feature. the screen size is just right also. Overall i am pleased with the purchase and my shopping experience with Best Buy in general. Looking forward to utilizing this new purchase for a podcast .business

I've loved this Air from the minute I turned it on. So lightweight and much faster than my 2017 Pro, not to mention it doesn't get hot or do the dreaded wheel when I have a multitude of windows and programs open.

Great computer... I got it for travel. I was afraid it would run hot, as per some reviews, because it has no fan, BUT during the snow and sub zero temps lately I used it in my hotel for several hours non stop and NO overheating. Color is pretty, subtle. I must say that more than once Best Buy cancelled my online order to pickup in store for reason "not enough info about me" or some such reason, and this was annoying. I was forced to go to the store.

NGL I really love this thing. I bought my last MacBook in 2015 and laugh at that all you want but this upgrade has me in a chokehold! Sure there’s no ports for a usb but whatever- The starlight body is resistant to fingerprints and I love her. Battery life is impressive and it doesn’t get hot. I’m not a tech person but performance wise I’m happy!

Exactly what you'd expect from an Apple computer. This replaced my mid-2014 Macbook Pro, also a base model. That one was still on the original battery, which was struggling to give me 70 mins of power. Combined with no more software support, it was time to upgrade. This Air is superior to my Pro in every way. I get every bit of the claimed 19 hours battery life, and I've yet to feel this machine get even remotely warm, doing the same things that would have my old Pro toasty enough to heat your coffee. At the price point Best Buy is offering these, it's a steal. If I get anything remotely near the life I got out of my Pro, I'll be ecstatic.

This computer is wicked fast. Battery life is great. When charging, it doesn't seem to get warm which was a big cause of shorter battery lives. I'm thrilled with this computer.
