Rarely does it need to turn on the internal fans to cool down the chipset. I have used it mainly for audio and video live applications and it has never slowed down upon my tests. The price on this computer is incredible. I do not recall any price like this with the super package. I traded in my old 2020 model on a 1T storage like this for 800$ which is incredible. Only Bestbuy has the deal like this and with my Plus membership, it gets even better. I bought 4 of them to upgrade my office co-workers old computer immediately with the same package. I was so used to having low storage and RAM that I had totally forgotten how freeing it is to be able to run and install anything on my computer. Even the touchbar is not as bad as I expected, it's quite useful once you install the right tool, I love it.

Great quality! I haven’t purchased a laptop since 2013, my last one lasted me until now. Excited to see how this does with performance and storage. Definitely a huge upgrade frok what i had. I thought about getting the one woth M3 chip but i find this one is still valuable and worth taking the opportunity to save a bit.

I rarely give 1 star, and I love my apple products, but I guess I must have held the bar too high and am really disappointed. There is no place to put a USB drive, no place to put an SD card, etc etc etc. But it has a headphone jack to plug into... what are we going backwards here? Seems way more universal to have other ports, guess thats why they made it that way so you could spend more money. The charging cord isn't that long either. I bought this because it was an unbeatable price on sale with seemingly great storage and memory and preventative before my MacBook Air 2015 intel core dies since the battery doesnt hold a charge, programs and tabs shut down and freeze, and storage issues. This computer has a worked well for my needs. I create music. This computer has more than enough memory and storage to support my processes. My past experience with MacBooks and their performance and lifespan means this computer will last me for years.
