This unit is truly hi-fi for music as well as surround. The internal amps are powerful enough to drive the most demanding speakers. If you’re looking for an upgrade for both music and movies Arcam gives you both.

The Arcam AVR31 produces amazing sound quality with its G Class amplification, it produces details I never heard with my previous Denon 4800XH avr. The immersive and crystal clear audio makes you feel like you’re inside the movie. Make sure Dirac is used for the calibration, as it improves the soundstage and bass a lot. Overall, it’s the best AVR I’ve ever tried

Great sound. However, universal remotes do not seem to work well. I use 4 remotes right now. The set up worked at first and then stopped. I'm hopeful to resolve the situation soon.

The best you can get. Absolute pristine two channel music and clarity in movies. Pricey but that what you pay for premium. This is a high end audiophile receiver. Not the most user friendly like Marantz/ Denon etc. but if you prioritize sound quality, this thing is a beast!

The salesman talked highly of Arcam but I didn’t see it at all. I had a Yamaha before this and it was clearer and better all the way around. The Arcam made my Bowers and Wilkins 804 distort and once they did the amp would shut off. I couldn’t turn the receiver above 80 or it would shut off. I ended up returning the Arcam and spending the extra money and got McIntosh separates and bam beautiful sound with no distortion or problems. I have not looked back since. Don’t buy Arcam it’s junk. The sound coming from Arcam is also just not pleasing to the ear.

Like lost high-end recivers the set up needs to be calibrated. Speapers should match and bi amp wired. New speakers need brake i. Period and most of all get a high quality sound source like Tidel premium with un compressed audio with extrrnal DAC.
