your environment matters!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am in a room with 50-80 people in a not so spacious atmosphere. Usually 60 at any givin time. At 1st they worked really amazingly awsomly ridiculously wicked sweet! Unfirtuanltly lots of others started to show up with wirless headsets, some a50's too. At 1st changing the channel worked, but now because of all the interference from other wirless headsets, they don't perform near as well, but I love them, so I'll prob just use them @home, & get a40's, but I don't want to be wired down....

Worth it if You Got it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had several different headsets for my PS4 and have liked most of them. But none of them can compare to the A50's; there's a reason why Astro has been one of the top audio manufactures. Pros: -I have to start with overall comfort 5/5. I have a pretty large head, but even after several hours of play I sometimes forget that I'm wearing them. -Ease of connectivity 4/5, there's some adjusting you have to do with your settings, but nothing that should give you a headache -Sound quality is at a premium! 4/5 I read a lot of reviews that said the PS Golds sounded pretty much the same; I don't know what the heck those people are talking about. I instantly could notice a considerable upgrade. -Battery life 4/5 -Build quality 5/5 Cons: -Price!!! Yes these are an amazing headset and you will not be disappointed with them. But you first have to justify spending $250-300 on a HEADSET!!! That being said, if you do you won't regret it.

Wonderful headset for movie buffs and gamers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous XP 500s fromTurtle Beach were accidentally broken after a four-year run. I am happy to report that this headset has surpassed my old ones by miles. The battery life is good, not great. sound quality for movies is excellent, but it tends to have a little too much bass with music, although that's just my preference. Other users seem to love the heavy bass. The only real complaint I have on this headset is that if you have no sound playing, there tends to be white noise when set to medium - high volume. My other issue is the price. The only reason why I bought this headset was due to a very convincing open item price. At full retail, this headset is not worth the money. At 30 percent off, it's completely worth the money. Astro needs to lower the price point a little. This headset Is almost es expensive as the actual console!

Great but a little too pricey
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great set of headphones. Bass is surprisingly strong, sound-stage is so-so. You can hear a very low buzzing sound when nothing is going on but you really have to listen for it. I have yet to come across a set of wireless headsets that don't have that problem. Battery life is pretty good as well. My only complaint is that these headphones should be priced around $225 as opposed to $300. That said, this is probably the best wireless headset around right now. If money is not an issue then this is a no-brainer.

Best headset out there!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am what you would consider a hard-core gamer. I have tried everything from turtle Beach to Tritons to Skullcandy all the way to Astros and these things kick everything else's butts! The sound quality is amazing. the wireless feature is awesome and having the mix amp built right in is just genius. Pros- wireless -great sound -comfortable Cons- a little pricey. For the serious gamer out there I don't recommend anything else but the Astro A50s. -O1CABOOSEO1-

Worth the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually don't leave online reviews but i had to leave one for this headset. I previously went though multiple cheaper headsets because my cat would chew the wires consistently, and when i finally cat proofed my last set they failed internally and the mic no longer worked. I decided to finally go wireless and wanted to see what these Astros were all about. They are amazing. I use them for my Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The sound quality is unreal and perfect for shooters and horror games where you need to hear everything. I also get asked constantly about what headset i'm using because my friends say my voice quality is very clear. The charge on these is a consistent 8 hours and even let you plug in and use if you just cant stop playing. Some things i will note. These headsets work with all systems but if you buy this pair (blue) and want to play on Xbox, you have to buy the cord separately(found out the hard way). Also when you first get them, make sure you follow the instructions to update them by connecting them to a computer, otherwise some features may not work correctly. If your thinking about getting a sturdy headset that wont break in 6 months. You'll want to give these a look.

Top of the line!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ONLY complaint I have is that the audio customization is limited to presets. However the surround sound is superb, especially with COD. The sets are very comfortable and lightweight. Battery life is pretty good. I bought an extension usb cable to charge as I play when they start to go dead.

What an amazing headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a tough purchase for me. The price was the biggest turn off, but man am I glad to have made this investment. They are the most comfortable headsets I have ever worn. I can go several hours without the headaches or pains of having something on your head for hours. Mic quality is great according to people that I chat with. Sound is amazing as well. Being able to hear those footsteps can be life or death. Also has the ability to change the profile to voice or gaming mode, which changes what sounds are emphasized. Biggest plus.... WIRELESS and 7.1 is great. This is hands down the best headset I have ever owned and I recommend it to anybody.

Great pair of gaming headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best gaming headset that I have tried for a console. It's very comfortable, is wireless, and the sound quality is topnotch. The headset feels very solid while on your head. If you're looking for the best then be sure to give this headset a try.

Awesome Headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it comes to quality, sound, and comfort nothing is better than the A50. The sound by far is so much better than my PS Gold or TurtleBeach Stealth 500P. The sound is so crisp, you can hear EVERYTHING . I do love the mute option where you know it is muted if you move the mic up to mute or down to talk. Loved that option because before I would forgot I had it muted until I would hear "I can't hear you" LOL. Also, the ability to custom tune the sound from the mix-amp is awesome. The one downside I say it doesn't allow me to plug in my cell phone so I can listen to my Itunes while gaming and chatting. My TurtleBeach has that option but this does not. All around the battery life is really good around 4-5hours except the fact you get a REALLY REALLY small cord length in charging the headset. I will have to purchase a 10" ft cord to be able to charge my headset while gaming at the same time when I am in the master bedroom. Overall if you can afford the headset BUY IT. Save that $100 you will spend on the other headset and get the best. Please be aware before you use the headset you will have to update the firmware for the headset and the MixAmp.

Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After trying different headsets over the years, I've found these to be perfect for me! Although the headset is priced in the higher end of the spectrum, they are completely worth the money that I spent for them. The ear pads are soft and made of very resilient foam, that make them comfortable on my head even after gaming for a few hours (even if you have a larger head). The headband could use a bit more padding, but because of the range of adjustment of the headset and size of the earcups, that poses no real issue in the comfort department. The sound quality is Amazing! The surround sound is so good that watching TV or a movie afterward makes me want to upgrade my home theatre system. But in order to achieve that, you have to have your gaming console set up for it correctly (I use PS4), so if you're not able to mix the game and chat with the control on the headset, you're not experiencing the best surround. They are a bit on the heavy side, but all wireless gaming headsets are, and this brand is no different. I've also read some reviews on a different website about the quality of the mic not being that great, but all of my friends have told me that I sound like I do in person, so I would have to disagree with those reviews. The headset is constructed very nicely as well. Unlike other headsets in the same price range, these aren't cheap plastic toy accessories. They are a very nice combination of metal, and other materials that make me feel like I've got my money's worth. They are easy to set up, and the battery last as long as I can game in a day. Nothing is totally perfect though. I wish that that the charging system was designed better and incorporated in the stand. The stand, which I would recommend using, seems a little cheap. But I think that is my only issue with it (which I guess is a non-issue). I don't see myself having to replace these any time soon at all.

Excellent sound, excellent comfort
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The system sounds as good as any other I've used and feels at least as good. You can wear them for hours and barely notice. No complaints about the battery life and the fact that it's rechargeable with the receiver is a plus, as well as the fact that you can charge and play. My only two complaints: the felt on the headphones doesn't breathe well, but it isn't unbearable, and when the battery starts going dead the alert noise is excessively loud. All in all an extremely good set.

It's a whole new world
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to think over ear headphones and gaming headsets were pointless...I went from using a Beats UrBeats earbuds to using this and it was a night and day difference. It literally felt like a whole new world, games that I've played are no longer the same. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great headset, but the price may be a bit too high for my taste. If the price wasn't this high I would easily give it a 5-star rating. If you're really sure on buying these then take a look at the different colors/versions they have. Maybe you should get the Xbox version instead of the PS4 because they're the exact same price and the XBOX one comes with a 2.5mm cable to use with Xbox. I wish they just provided it for all of them since theyre the same price -_- If you want other options for the same price, take a look at the Turtle beach elite 800. Those only work for PS4 and PC though, however it has bluetooth and can sync with your phone. They have a new model, the Turtle Beach elite 800x coming soon which is made for Xbox and PC. Another headset you can take a look at is the Steelseries H Wireless. All of them are great, I just went with the Astros instead. :)

Worth the Price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound, comfortable even after prolonged us, battery last very well after several game sessions. Usually I leave it to charge overnight. Easy to connect to PS4, PC and surround sound. Only minor set back is that if you connect the charging usb to the PS4 (which also enables the mic) it won't charge the Astro set unless the PS4 is on. So, I have a dedicated cable to charge the headset. Other than that, great headset worth the money.

Astro A50 - Work horse gaming headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son received this headset as a present from me, I'm thinking two years ago, maybe 1, but they are still going strong. He went through a number of other brands, most lasting at most 4 months. I picked up a pair for me during the holiday sales. Comfortable, good sound quality, the wireless feature is very nice. It would be hard to find headphones as nice as these, especially given their toughness in everyday use.

Astro A50-over priced but .....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started with th PlayStation Golds but wasn't feeling then due to ththe lack of bass. They're great headphones none the less. Besides that, I needed headphones that I could connect to my tv, not just my PS4. I've watched movies with it on ththe PS4 and they sound amazing. But I would like it if the high frequencies were a little bit higher. Then, watching movies and tv with them connected to my tv is a god-send. Again, I'd prefer it if the highs were louder and the lows turn down a tad bit to be able to watch the drama or comedy shows but having them wireless balances out. I originally was looking for headphones to be able to watch TV and connect to the PS4 and this does it beautifully with an additional optic cable already connected to the back of the TV for easy hook up. Comparing them with the PSGolds, they only have them beat because of the bass and the fact that they can connect to the tv but if you're looking for just a gaming headset then I'd go with the PSGolds because you really can't beat that price. If it wasn't for the $300 price tag then I'd give these a 4/5.

Excellent wireless gaming headset (PS4)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this headset to replace a pair of Turtle Beach 500p that fell victim at the hands of my young children. As opposed the 500p set, these Astros feel physically better built, look better, and are more comfortable for the long raiding days. I have a big head and was concerned that this product was going to disappoint. This set actually has more adjustments than I expected. They are a perfect fit. I love the sound from this set from both the game and chat. Clear highs and deep lows. I have not had any issues with connection, fit, or sound but the battery life seems a bit lacking for its price. With the 500p set, I managed to use them for approx 2 days without recharge, this Astro set only seems to last 1 day. I managed to get by utilizing a power bank, but that shouldn't be necessary. Overall a great product, and even better when you can find it on sale.
