Didnt even last 13 months

We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused.
All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last, this is a random problem. We recommend to do a hardware reset by pressing and holding the reset switch with a pin for about 10 seconds and try connecting it to another known good surge protector and AC outlet. If this was already performed to no avails, we recommend sending the router in for warranty service. A RMA number is required to send the product in for service. Good speed but a number of problems

Stability problem. Every few days it'd lose its ability to connect to the internet. Will work after reboot. So I schedule it to reboot each morning at 4 am in the administration section. But, that introduced another problem. 2. After each reboot it would reset the DDNS server hostname back to www.asus.com rendering AiCloud useless. AiCloud relies on DDNS for one to access the 'cloud network files' from outside. If DDNS is not working, then AiCloud does not work. I tried to use www.asus.com as its DDNS but it's not reliable either. It does not update the router's IP assigned by Verizon frequent enough. Therefore, whenever Verizon changes the router IP, www.asus.com DDNS is still using the old out. Again, that renders AiCloud not working. So I changed to www.no-ip.com. That works better except now it get revert back to www.asus.com whenever the router reboots. Very frustrating. 3. AiCloud is not functioning consistently. On some day it will show all Samba networked PCs, but on other days it would not. You can never count on able to access your 'cloud' files remotely. Sometimes you can access files on your PC, sometimes can't. You can never predict when it will act up. Basically, AiCloud just does not work. So don't count on this feature if you are buying cause it suppose have a home cloud feature. Just does not work.

don't waste your money

Started out great but started to drop connections, could not get it to easily reset and overall overpriced for the performance. returned this to Best Buy and bought another NetGear router.

Asus Routers

I would never ever buy another Asus product. The first one just completely died after 2 weeks of great operation. The second one was more pain than it was worth.
