For some reason has to update all the time and it takes a long time. It's also a bit slow, and is not my internet service because I have other devices that has no issues with speed.

I'm truly sorry to hear that it takes long to update. The slow speed or performance is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, the laptop will do several system reboots, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. In order to maintain optimum system stability and performance, cumulative WINDOWS Update needs to be installed periodically. If you are accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance. Also, clearing internet cache or browsing history will improve system performance. Doesn't work with WiFi and Zoom

I use WiFi and was borrowing a computer from my instructor before purchasing this one which worked perfect-- had zero connection problems. When I tried this computer, it froze and cut out constantly so I returned it and spent double on a different laptop which works perfect. If you have a hardwire internet connection, this laptop may work for you, but if you need it to work with zoom, Skype etc and all you have is WiFi, don't get this laptop

This ASUS seemed like an inexpensive useful machine. It's not. So slow, it's slower than my old laptop. Can't do zoom meetings, browsing social media videos stop and go, opening a new tab very slow. This computer is a rip off unless you're just using it to play solitaire and should never have been put on the market. And because it took me over two weeks to find out all of its deficiencies Best Buy is no help, and actually hung up on me when I called to complain about it. I feel like I just threw away $250.00. Guess I learned to test everything about a new laptop immediately, in time to return it.
