Oh man, this device just screams Premium! From the time you start opening to finally getting it all setup. The unboxing was an experience in itself. Asus provided Premium packaging and Care. You get the tablet in a Luxurious ProArt Deep Black box! You get the tablet, USB-C charging cable (65W), Mini SD card reader to SD card reader, back cover, and the keyboard attachment. The screen on the tablet is Simply Gorgeous! I'm not sure what Asus is doing but this is the best OLED screen I've had the pleasure of seeing. The deep rich blacks are one of a kind. The other colors are rich and pop with the right settings. The Tablet itself comes with two USB-4 slots and an SD slot. The speakers are good. They lack bass but they get reasonably loud. The keyboard attachment has of Premium feeling as well. The trackpad was a joy to use. I'm not sure if it's glass but man, did it feel nice. The experience of satisfying clicks with each press. I enjoyed the trackpad. Also, the size of the trackpad isn't tiny. It is of reasonable size since it's a smaller form device. The typing experience was good as well. Shallow key presses which are fine. Nothing that was a problem. I didn't know what to expect from this tablet design because I'm so used to laptops. The Asus ProArt pz13 nailed it with the tablet-to-laptop design. The case is magnetic and attaches on. Not once did it fall off, move, or reposition without my choosing. The camera is of good quality as well. I just checked it out briefly. With good lighting the image was crisp. If I had to do any work meetings this would be more than fine for me. Now, the CPU in the device is one I couldn't find much information on. At first, I was a bit disappointed it wasn't using the standard 10-core Snapdragon X Plus CPU. It used an 8-core more efficient version the Snapdragon X Plus X1P42100. This may explain the amazing battery life. At 35% screen brightness I was able to get 20 Hours on video playback live streaming. Yes, you read that correctly, 20 Hours of live streaming video playback. Not all is Sunshine though. For such an amazing device they decided to go with a 60Hz screen. Why oh why, the OLED is amazing. 120Hz would have been ideal since this is targeted to creators. Lastly, you only get 16 GB of RAM. 32 GB of RAM would have been ideal or even 24 GB. This is targeted to creators so more RAM is always a plus. I wish it came with the Asus Pen. You added a slot on the case but you have to purchase the pen separately. Come on Asus that is crap... Overall this is a stunning tablet to laptop. It is extremely lightweight and perfect for traveling. You get an amazing screen. You get 1TB of storage. You get a good keyboard with an amazing trackpad. You also get the capability to go from a tablet to a laptop quickly! I highly recommend this if this fits your niche.

The ASUS ProArt PZ13 is a versatile laptop for creators that seamlessly offer the functionality of a laptop with the portability of a tablet. It is designed specifically for creators so let me explain as I am a creator myself while keeping it short. The ProArt PZ13 has a sleek and modern design, with a thickness of just 9mm and a weight of 850g. The detachable keyboard adds an additional 350g, making it easy to carry around without compromising its performance. The device has an IP52 rating, so it is protected from dust and water splashes. This laptop comes with a brilliant OLED display that has vibrant colors and very sharp details; it is perfect for creative work that I do, photo editing, graphic design, and video creation. The 2880 by 1800 resolution screen shows every detail, I really like how the colors and contrast show. The ProArt PZ13 is powered by a Snapdragon X Series processor, and it comes with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD. In return it offers super-fast performance, so I am able to run multiple applications simultaneously without any lag. I do edit high-resolution videos as well as edit photos and design as well and it does everything well. The PZ13 comes with a long lasting 70Wh battery, and it provides sufficient power to get you through an entire day of work. So now I can do all the work anywhere I am and it is reliable. It also comes with two cameras rear camera with 13mp and the front camera 5mp so I can capture photo and video right from the laptop. One of the outstanding feature the PZ13 offers is the StoryCube, I can use the AI assistance to sort, edit, manage and export files and it is easy to use. The Proart Creator Hub lets me monitorize my device status. I will get the Asus Pen 2.0 to go with my laptop so I can do more. I also like that I can connect it using either one of the two USB-C ports, an SD card slot and since it comes with a microSD card adapter I can use that too. As soon as I take a video or photo I can just insert the SD Card right on the laptop to start editing right away. I can connect it using the Wi-Fi 6 at my house, even a Wi-Fi 7 and via Bluetooth 5.2 so it offers a stable connection. Overall, the ASUS ProArt PZ13 is a fantastic choice for creators like me who need a powerful and portable device. It not only looks amazing, it offers great performance while being reliable. I can continue editing videos, photos and design all day long, there are so many other features like Dolby Atmos sound, 3 mic array, included applications, copilot+ and it can withstand extreme weather.

There are a lot of things to say/cover about this unique and impressive convertible laptop. This is my first convertible/detachable laptop that doesn't have a self-supporting hinge; making it closer to a tablet than a laptop. There are some drawbacks to having a laptop that needs to be propped up in the back, mainly that it will always need space behind it to hold it up. But that's just the nature of this category of laptop. But one of the neat things about this is not only does the keyboard detach, but the back support does as well, allowing you to shed extra weight and thickness to get a true tablet form factor. However, it's still somewhat heavier and thicker than your typical laptop. With the back support/cover and keyboard attached, it's surprisingly hefty feeling for its size. When using it in the laptop form factor, the keyboard sits flat on your work surface. You cannot lift/prop up the top of the keyboard for a more sloped surface. There is enough flex in the hinge part to do it, but there is nothing to keep it in position. The keyboard is otherwise reasonable to type on, and I like the font used on the keys, and has a nice soft backlighting giving it a nice professional appearance. One of special function keys that is actually useful that I think more keyboards should include is an emoji key, which launches a Windows emoji/gif/characters window, which is one of those small things that make you go "why didn't anyone think of this before?". The touchpad includes hotzones for adjusting volume, screen brightness, and launching asus screen expert. These can be disabled in MyAsus, and I'd probably recommend most do so, as it otherwise can make the touchpad feel unresponsive if you happen to touch one of those zone when you don't mean to. The laptop itself has speakers on the bottom left and right sides, meaning they point off to the right and off to the left. Also, I found when holding the computer as a tablet, my hands covered the speakers. To work around this, I'd turn the laptop "upside down", the screen rotates and now I can hold it without blocking the speakers. The left side has the USB-C port in the middle for charging, and accessories if you wish. At the top left there is a cover that you can lift off (it stays tethered) to reveal a SD Card slot, and another USB-C port. You can't put the cover back into place if there is an SD Card inserted. Asus has included a basic microSD to SD Card adapter, so you can use microSD cards too. But many microSD cards also come with such an adapter. I don't really like the USB-C port position, because if you have a dongle attached to plug in some other accessories... it becomes a bit awkward having it all hang off the top left of the screen. The top right includes buttons for volume. Some of the marketing materials imply this laptop comes with a pen. It does not come with a pen. I tore apart my box looking for a pen. No pen. I ordered one from Asus, though hasn't arrived yet. There is a plastic flexible loop to hold the pen. The back case/support is held on rather strongly by a magnet feels equally strong and stiff, meaning it won't accidentally collapse on you. You can fold it from its flat 0° against the screen all the way back to approximately 140°, which gives you a lot of display placement options. Now, this has the Snapdragon X ARM CPU. You'd be forgiven for not realizing that's what's powering this thing. It's a completely seamless experience, with exceptional performance. Better yet, this laptop stays cool... or I think it does. I've never noticed the fans, if they've ever turned on. And the battery life is phenomenal. As I type this review, I'm at 88% battery, where I had previously watched some youtube videos, streamed live TV, some web browsing, etc... and Windows currently estimates 13 hours of battery remaining. And I believe it, I've only had to charge this laptop once (earlier today) since I got it (not counting the first out-of-the-box charge). Asus includes "ProArt" software, and really it's just a way to control the screen color profiles, and manage performance profiles. Speaking of the screen, it truly is nice, the only negative is that it is only 60hz, and after using some screens that are 120-140+Hz, 60 feels like so last decade.

The total purchase was 100% easy from ordering thru the website to pickup. The computer setup was flawless and not hard at all. This is a perfect replacement if you don't want to spend the major bucks for a MS Surface. 10/10 would look to BestBuy for my next purchase.

    Beautiful Display, Great Portability

This is a striking table. The display is incredibly at 13 inches with a 2880 by 1800 resolution. This is an OLED display, so you can expect the best contrast ratio. Content pops off of the screen. It is bright, clear, and just a joy to have such an amazing screen on the device. It is amazing portable. It includes a case and keyboard cover, which are separate. Meaning that you can detach or attach the keyboard, but still keep the back of the case on the tablet. This is important because the back of the table case has an amazing kickstand. The stand feels solid and I like that it can adjust to so many different angles. The keyboard is great as well. For a thin keyboard it does feel like it has some travel. The trackpad is very large for a keyboard cover and is great to use. The trackage also has built in sliders (on either edge of the trackpad) for adjusting volume or brightness. The speakers are great as well. It has 16GB of RAM and a 1TB storage drive. It is very fast and the Snapdragon processor might be one of the best things to happen to Windows devices. Performance is not an issue and I’m able to get more than 1 day of use. I use this mainly for working in the browser, but have also installed some development tools that are optimized for the ARM processor. It can also play some games, more casual game, it is definitely not a high end gaming laptop. For an everyday computer, this is great to use. The battery last a very long time, it is very portable. The star of the show is the display, for me.

    Create on the go

The ASUS Pro Art PZ13 is a high-performance tablet with a sleek design and powerful hardware that caters to creative professionals, while the convertible tablet is perfectly portable for on the go. Unboxing the ASUS Pro Art PZ13 was an experience with a nesting set of boxes that were packaged carefully and thoughtfully keeping the tablet and its contents secured and protected. This attention to detail reflects the premium quality of the product. Along with the tablet, the package includes a keyboard, protective case with kickstand, charger, and microSD adapter. Designed and packaged for creative professionals, I was under the impression the ASUS pen would be included, however, to my disappointment and surprise it was not. While the ASUS 2.0 pen can be purchased separately, how the tablet contents come bundled is favorable to photo and video editing, rather than digital sketching and painting. The Pro Art PZ13 tablet features a beautiful OLED display that keeps images and colors crisp and vibrant, while the Gorilla Glass protects the screen from scratches and offers a smooth and responsive touchscreen. Built with military-grade material and weighing less than 2 lbs., I appreciate that the tablet is durable and considerably lightweight, but when it is held over a long period of time it feels heavier. Although they are fairly lightweight, the magnetic protective case and detachable keyboard do add a little extra weight and thickness to the tablet, but not enough to make it bulky or hinder portability. The protective case features a kickstand that is easy and convenient to use on hard surfaces and adjust whether using the tablet on its own or with the keyboard. The keyboard is a full keyboard with a low-profile, large keys, and a backlight for easy viewing in low light conditions. The mousepad is large and includes well placed quick commands for volume, brightness, and playback. The strong magnets on the case and keyboard ensure they stay in place. The ASUS Pro Art PZ13 tablet is equipped with 2 USB-C ports that support quick charging. However, both ports are on the same side, which might be a minor inconvenience for some users. The SD slot with the accompanied microSD adapter makes transferring photos and videos between devices simple. The charger is compact and lends to the portability of the tablet, although when charging the tablet nor charger have an indicator light. When listening to music the sound quality is mediocre and not the immersive audio experience the PZ13 boasts. There is a muffled quality as if the speakers are covered or being blocked. The tablet does not have an audio jack so external speakers or headphones must be connected via Bluetooth. The 5 MP front camera is decent for video conferences, while the 13 MP rear camera captures beautiful and vivid pictures. I do not know how often I will use the tablet to take pictures, but it's nice to have the option. The battery life is impressive, although it ultimately depends on how the device is being used at the time of use. For instance, at 89% I had 14 hours remaining, but after 4 hours spent using the keyboard, browsing the internet, and running different programs including Cricut Design Space, OneNote, and Spotify the battery life quickly fell to 5 hours. When compared to other comparable devices I have used, the ASUS battery life still outperforms and gives me confidence that I will have ample time to work before the tablet needs a recharge. I have not yet jumped on the AI bandwagon, but for users looking to explore or utilize AI, the ASUS PZ13 heavily promotes and features AI compatibility with Co-Pilot. Overall, if you're looking to enhance productivity as a creative professional and need a device that's packed with powerful hardware to support your needs and lifestyle, the ASUS Pro Art PZ13 stands up to the task.

    Niche product, worth it?

As a content creator constantly on the move, finding the right device that balances performance, portability, and display quality is crucial. Recently, I decided to invest in the Asus ProArt PZ13 laptop/tablet, a product from the renowned ProArt line known for its studio-quality PCs and displays. Pros: Display Quality: The display of the Asus ProArt PZ13 lives up to the ProArt reputation. Indoors, the clarity and color representation are exceptional. The colors are vibrant and accurate, making it a joy to edit photos and videos. The 13-inch screen size strikes a perfect balance between portability and usability, providing ample screen real estate without being cumbersome. Included Accessories: The included keyboard and rear cover are thoughtful additions. The keyboard self-aligns and snaps into place effortlessly thanks to the magnetic connector. This feature is particularly handy when you’re setting up quickly in different locations. The keys themselves have a satisfying feel and response, making typing a pleasant experience. The touchpad is also well-sized and has a nice tactile feel, contributing to the overall usability of the device. Portability and Silent Operation: The 13-inch screen size is ideal for a portable device. Additionally, the device operates almost silently when not under heavy load, which is great for working in quiet environments like libraries or cafes. Cons: Outdoor Usability: One of the significant drawbacks of the Asus ProArt PZ13 is its outdoor usability. The screen is highly reflective and becomes almost unusable in direct sunlight. For a product marketed towards on-the-go content creators, this is a considerable limitation. The display looks washed out and loses its brilliance outdoors, which can be frustrating when you need to work outside. Keyboard Issues: I’ve encountered occasional issues with the keyboard becoming unresponsive. At times, I had to press the power button to put the device to sleep and then wake it up again to get the keyboard working. This could be a bug that might be fixed with a software update, or it could be related to specific applications I was using. Camera App and Touchpad: The camera app has crashed several times during use, which again is hopefully just a bug. Additionally, while the touchpad is generally good, it has a slightly tacky feel that might not be to everyone’s liking, although this does aid in precision. Weight and Stylus Omission: Despite being marketed as an on-the-go device, the ProArt PZ13 is relatively heavy, which can be a drawback for those who need to carry it around frequently (I have full blown 17" laptops that weigh less). Maybe it's very durable, as they say it is, and that adds weight to it. It's not overly heavy, just heavy for it's size. Moreover, the omission of an included stylus seems like a significant oversight, especially for a tablet computer aimed at content creators. A stylus would have enhanced the device’s functionality, particularly for tasks like drawing or note-taking, but instead you'll need to buy that separately. Summary: In conclusion, the Asus ProArt PZ13 feels like it is a niche product with its standout feature being the display quality (at least indoors.) The 13-inch screen size is perfect for portability, and the included keyboard and rear cover add to its usability. However, the device falls short in outdoor usability, size-to-weight ratio-and the lack of an included stylus. So I'm not really sure who this is for. If you need a more versatile device with better outdoor performance and additional features, you might want to consider other options in the same price range. The 13-inch laptop version of the ProArt line offers more capabilities, is probably just as portable, and could be worth exploring.
