The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 in Platinum White is a stunning blend of power and elegance, making it a standout in the gaming laptop market. Here’s a detailed review: Design and Build: The Zephyrus G14’s Platinum White finish is not just visually appealing but also exudes a premium feel. The CNC-machined aluminum chassis is both lightweight (3.31 lbs) and durable, making it perfect for gamers on the go. The slim profile (0.63 inches) ensures it fits easily into any backpack without compromising on sturdiness. Display: The 14-inch OLED 3K display is a game-changer. With a resolution of 2880 x 1800 and a 120Hz refresh rate, it delivers vibrant colors and sharp details, making both gaming and content creation a delight. The 0.2ms response time and G-SYNC support ensure smooth, tear-free gameplay, even in fast-paced action scenes. Performance: Under the hood, the Zephyrus G14 packs a punch with the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. This combination ensures top-tier performance, whether you’re gaming, streaming, or multitasking. The 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB SSD provide ample memory and storage for all your needs. Cooling: ASUS has equipped this laptop with ROG Intelligent Cooling technology, including Tri-Fan technology and liquid metal thermal compound. These features keep the laptop cool and quiet, even during intense gaming sessions. Audio: The audio experience is equally impressive, with enhanced woofers that deliver clear and vibrant sound. Battery Life: Despite its powerful specs, the Zephyrus G14 offers decent battery life, making it suitable for extended gaming sessions or work on the go. Conclusion: The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 in Platinum White is a perfect blend of style, performance, and portability. It’s an excellent choice for gamers and creators looking for a high-performance laptop that doesn’t compromise on aesthetics or build quality. Whether you’re gaming, creating content, or just browsing, this laptop delivers on all fronts.

Screen: Best I have seen in any laptop... Ever. Sound: Best I have ever heard in any laptop... Ever. Keyboard & Trackpad: Best I have used in any laptop... Ever. NVidia 4070: I play all my games on high everything, absolutely do problems. I also utilize the AI features of this specific card and it is fantastic. You will love gaming, coding, and everyday stuff with this laptop and with this card. RAM: It's 32 GB in a laptop. Stop pretending it is better to be able to install RAM. That's only the case if they don't give you enough. 32 GB is enough. It wasn't enough when they sold the G14 with lower amounts of RAM. Soldered RAM is faster and more efficient, especially in terms of power conservation... The RAM performance is fantastic. Lighting: The keyboard lighting is the best on the entire series of laptops. This is my third personally owned G14. I'm responsible for a lot of G14 sales because it's what I recommend to just about everyone. Slash lighting is cool, could have a few more options on how to utilize it, but there is already software for better options. QC: Any complaint I had with the g14 2023 model was addressed with this one. Fantastic build. Amazing look. Storage: 1TB storage is solid both in terms of size and performance. I will probably upgrade this in terms of performance, but I'm definitely not in a hurry because it is really good. Battery: I think it's great. Just take advantage of the power features. People that complain about "only 4 hours of usage" while having everything maxed out are insane. It's a battery. It's sufficient in size and the power options to get the most out of your battery are fantastic. Weight: This this is awesome to carry around. I love the power, performance, weight balance... So was it worth driving 2 hours, one way, to get it? Now that I have both seen and used it... I would have driven 8 hours, one way, to get it. Yes. Go get one. The second you can find it available, go get one. Did you buy one yet? Go get one.

This is my third ROG Zephyrus G14. I've had the 2020 model with the RTX 2060 Max-Q, the 2021 model with the RTX 3060, and now this one (one of the previous ones was returned, and the other was resold). In some ways, it's a step down, notably with battery life. However, the thermals are finally under control. It's not piping ridiculously hot exhaust right onto the screen and it's not getting unbearably hot to the touch while gaming. Also, having a (single zone) RGB backlit keyboard now means that the backlight can stay on without making the keys illegible -- seriously, who thought white LEDs on silver keys was a good idea. I also like that the lid LEDs are now standard and not just a feature of the highest-end models, even though the area is much smaller.] That being said, let's dive in. The combination of the Ryzen 9 8945HS and the RTX 4070 are extremely performant, especially with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Ordinarily soldered RAM is a hard pass for me, but I generally don't go above 32 GB on most computers unless they're going to be used for serious work. A good comparison is my desktop -- it has a Ryzen 5 5600X, a RTX 3070 TI and 64 GB of DDR4 RAM. The desktop is better for running VMs and has more expansion capabilities. The Zephyrus is better at everything else, including gaming. I was perfectly happy with my desktop's gaming chops until I bought this laptop -- but right now, subjectively, between the high-refresh OLED display and the RTX 4070, the Zephyrus feels like it's running circles around my desktop. My biggest gripe with this model is the fact that you only get a single M.2 slot for storage. Ordinarily I like to run at least 2 drives in my computers. Having your files split between 2 drives means that you're putting less wear on each, and having a single drive also means that you have to shell out more for larger storage, and that also means a single point of failure. I upgraded the SSD to a 2 TB drive on mine, cloning from the original using Macrium Reflect. And on the note of opening it, I will say that it's not hard to get inside the Zephyrus. The bottom is secured with a bunch of Torx screws, including 2 under the black plastic pieces on the back edge near the hinges, but there's no shenanigans like screws hidden under parts attached by adhesive. It's easy to get at the parts you will likely be interested in touching (SSD, wifi card, battery). Overall, I've had nothing but good experiences with the 2024 model, aside from the relatively short battery life -- in reality, getting 7-ish hours of battery out of a 14" gaming laptop just shows how spoiled we've gotten in the last several years -- and I think this is definitely worth the price, if you can swing it.

Great gaming laptop I’ve been using this for school and a bit of light gaming. Overall solid performance the 3rd fan does make a noise but it’s not too noticeable Light- very important form factor. The 4070 and 32GB is a steep price tag but it’s worth it as it’s light and packs huge power in a small form factor. Speakers are great it comes with Dolby atmos . Color editing and video editing solid 100 as it can handle everything you throw at it. Same with photoshop and any other demanding games. I’m putting 4 stars because it’s a high price tag to have all these features. Solid battery life performance. Averaging around 8 hours use.

A Software Development major view on this machine

Originally wanted last years model but it turns out, it has worse quality as well as more heat output. With that being said, i think Asus improved everything about this laptop, battery, performance, quality, and more. My reasons for getting this laptop is because I wanted a powerful laptop with good battery life that also looked clean, this fill in all of my requirements for I'm using this laptop for my major in Software Development this fall. I have a 34inch ultrawide as well as a pretty powerful computer at home, the ultrawide may be bigger but I find myself wanting to play on my laptop more due to how much better the colors and how much clear it is alone. My monitor share the same resolution as this laptop and yet I would pick this laptop any day in terms of clarity. I've only recently got my hands on this laptop after waiting months to finally get one so I can't really give a full battery review. But with my normal use of having lots of applications in the background, youtube videos, and watching streams, I can say that I average 4 hours which is pretty good in my eyes. The performance isn't anything that I'm impressed with since my desktop is technically more powerful than it but it's still amazing to see so much power packed in a little machine. With the help of G-Helper, I managed to drop my temperatures from 80c when gaming, back to 67c by disabling CPU Boost which is on by default in some of the modes. I've also undervolted the CPU and managed to average 36c on the CPU with and without it being plugged in, no stutters or anything, which is a bonus. I've got the 4070 model mainly because of the 32gb of RAM, my dream job is to become a Software Developer during or after college and I hope to have this laptop throughout the journey. Based on how impressed i am of this laptop, I would recommend this laptop to any professional who wants a laptop that's like the MacBook but is on windows. I would also recommend this for gamers who won't be playing all day, everyday, this laptop is powerful but it can dip below 60 FPS with RTX enabled, without it however, it will run fine. It's been 3 years since I've had a laptop that's actually mine and I'm glad I've picked Asus despite the recent drama that's been going on, a very underrated laptop but definitely worth it, especially on sale.

Just bought this laptop on Black Friday for good deal! And I could not be more happier. After done research on what’s the best 14 inch gaming laptop that’s out there. This laptop has it all! The build quality is solid , the oled display was amazing, the sound system is probably one of the best gaming laptop thats out there. The cpu runs super fast and as well as the gpu. The cooling system and the fan works very well it’s quite even on performance mode and I was surprise this laptop dont even get as hot with such a thin laptop with a powerful performance. I definitely recomend the Zephyrus G14 If you are looking for a portable gaming laptop with best over all performance. This laptopg will not disappointed you.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2024) is an impressive gaming laptop that scores high with its stunning 2880 x 1800 OLED display and powerful performance from the AMD Ryzen 9 CPU and NVIDIA RTX 4070. It handles demanding games smoothly and boasts a commendable battery life of around 8 hours. The port selection is decent, offering multiple USB-A, USB-C, HDMI 2.1, and a MicroSD card reader. However, it has some drawbacks, including limited configurations and soldered RAM with a maximum of 32GB, which may not meet the needs of heavy multitaskers. Overall, I give the ASUS ROG G14 (2024) 4 out of 5 stars. It shines in display quality and performance but could improve in upgradeability and RAM options.

Excellent laptop. I was very sceptical at first specially with how balanced it would be taking into consideration the overall raw power, the battery life, fan noise and heat along with build quality. I can happily report after a month of usage that the laptop checks all the right boxes. Asus has done a really nice job balancing the overall device. My typical usage for the device is bits and pieces of video editing from my go pro, editing photos on photoshop or lightroom, a lot of coding including building, training and running machine learning models and a decent bit of gaming (I am mostly happy as long as I get 60+fps with highest visual quality). The audio quality is another excellent thing as far as this laptop is concerned. Surely this is the best sounding windows laptop. I still use both Armory crate and GHelper together to setup the options related to fans, dgpu vs igpu etc. Based on my use case I'm getting 5 to 6 hrs on an average depending on what I am using the laptop for. Usually when I'm gaming or using the dgpu a lot, I prefer to plug my device in. For regular coding work, photo editing, studying etc I lean on the igpu and by tweaking the settings as per your specific usage you can easily get 6+hrs of battery life. Lastly the 14inch model is as compact in size as a 13inch laptop from other brands. Thin and light without compromising the premium build quality. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

The laptop that replaced my m3 MacBook. Build quality is amazing, screen is amazing, I prefer this keyboard of a Mac keyboard. The trackpad is nice and clicky, haptic would have been slightly better but I have nothing against this trackpad. Battery life is fantastic once setting up g helped and optimizing everything. In the end chose this because I travel a lot and like to game and work with development a MacBook just doesn’t cut it for gaming so in the end this killed two birds with one stone.

To be honest the main reason why I bought this laptop is because it is really pretty. Even though it is a gaming laptop it is not as bulky as the others and the silent mode is perfect for the quietest environment. The oled screen is perfect for watching movies and the speakers ARE SO GOOD LIKE REALLY GOOD! The only two problems are that for some reason I have to reset the Face ID thing sometimes bc it doesn’t work, and the battery life :((

The Zephyrus G14 Is an absolute beast of a laptop, in a small package! As of writing this review, I've had my laptop for a little over two weeks. I must say, I'm addicted to it! From playing heavy and light games to doing everyday productivity and work, it does it all with ease and comfort. To start, the build of this laptop is phenomenal! The chassis of the laptop is all metal, except for the keys and touchpad. It is sturdy, yet so lightweight weighing around three pounds. I find it incredibly easy to tote this laptop around in my backpack with its charger and an external mouse. The screen of this laptop is beyond gorgeous. The crisp 3k resolution, bright and vivid OLED with deep blacks, and an exceptional 120 Hz for smooth picture. It feels great on the eyes, especially in the dark with dark mode enabled. I honestly can't go back to a normal LCD display after using this! My eyes are so happy haha. The keys are a good size, fitting my fingers well, and being a good distance apart for easy typing. The only keys I have trouble with are the arrow keys, since they are so thin and tightly together. But that's to keep the layout clean and compact, which I can't complain much there! The keys have RGB backlighting, which you can customize in either armory crate, or G-helper, which is what I prefer to use. The backlights are nice and bright for day use, but for night I have gotten them very dark, just enough to see the keys, without being a distraction to the screen itself. I also have to give props to ASUS for the very large touchpad! It's incredible to use, offering tons of space for navigating the screen, and allowing easy 3 finger and 4 finger shortcuts built into windows. The touchpad is made of glass I believe, offering a smooth and satisfying texture for long and comfortable use. Now, we can't forget about the internals of this trooper. The RTX 4070 and Ryzen 9 8945hs offer wonderful performance, allowing me to play heavy duty games with very high frame rates. I have been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 with beautiful ultra and high graphics at 1080p, and am getting smooth framerates averaging at 80 fps, even in busy areas. The laptop does get hot running heavy loads, GPU easily reaching max temps at 86 degrees Celsius, and the CPU reaching 70 to 80 degrees, with CPU boost DISABLED! It can easily go into the 90s with it enabled. The metal chassis can get warm all around, but extremely hot above the keyboard, next to the armory crate button. The vents of the laptop are in that area, shooting out the back, sort of onto the bottom of the screen which is a little concerning to me. So far I have had no issues though. The battery life is pretty good in the laptop when using just the integrated graphics. Don't expect all day use without a charger, but you can definitely get several hours doing basic work and doing basic productivity tasks. The integrated graphics are actually very good, and perform well! smaller or mid end games can be achieved with integrated graphics with good framerates. Overall, the laptop is phenomenal. An absolute incredible piece of technology, surely to last a good amount of years to come! I am satisfied with this purchase, and would recommend buying it on sale since it is on the more pricey end. Easy 5 out of 5!

Overall this laptop is the best tech purchase I've ever done, It has a fantastic display that once you try it you will never see any other LCD display the same way, great components that makes it powerful enough to run any program you try, and, As a designer myself, I can carry it around at work without doing any effort because its weight is so minimal compared to other laptops its gonna make you miss it everytime you lift any other laptop. The ROG ZEPHYRUS is the perfect laptop for every college/graduate person that has responsabilities but still wants to have something to game with at night or during free time, honestly I cannot recommend this enough, If you are considering buying it and are having doubts because of the 2025 models, I'd say this is still a great option having every single feature the 2025 model has but with a little worse performance in gaming, still, this laptop is giving me 150+ fps in marvel rivals which is a pretty recent game, with every setting in high and native res, so, with a little optimization lowering settings or something you can easily get 240 fps , if you are planning on playing on a different display, maybe even more fps with every config in low, So, yeah, just buy it. You'll regret it if you wont.

This laptop is amazing. It’s truly a great balance and I love the look and feel. Performance in games surprised me, except for cod for me. I had constant issues with packet burst for whatever reason. The screen is wonderful and so crisp. It’s quiet and on silent it’s silent which I really enjoy. I really wanted a laptop that could game but also use to watch Netflix in my bed, and this did that almost perfectly.

As an amateur (please be aware - "amateur" as in my wife and dog are my only fans...) hardware reviewer who’s tested everything from high-end desktops to gaming laptops, I can confidently say the 2024 Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is the most well-rounded, versatile laptop I’ve ever used. After reviewing heavy hitters like the MacBook Pro 14/16 (M3 Pro/Max), Legion 9i Gen 9, MSI Titan 18HX, and Razer Blade 18 (RTX 4090), the G14 stands out as the clear winner in 2024. Let’s start with design. This machine strikes the perfect balance between portability and power. It’s small but not too small, with a sleek, premium look. The keyboard is top-tier, providing a smooth and responsive typing experience that puts other laptop keyboards to shame. Meanwhile, the trackpad and the iconic slash lighting add a touch of class that’s both functional and aesthetic. The screen is where this G14 truly shines. The 120Hz 3K OLED display is hands down the best I’ve ever used—vibrant, sharp, and a joy to look at whether gaming or working. It outshines the 2023 G14, which had frame drops and heat issues. This 2024 model nails the visual experience. Moving on to performance, the pairing of the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS and Nvidia RTX 4070 is stellar. I’ve been playing games like Ghost of Tsushima on max settings with AMD Frame Generation, and this laptop blazes through it without breaking a sweat. No stuttering, no frame drops—just smooth, seamless gaming. Even GTA 5 runs like a dream. What’s even more impressive is how cool and quiet this laptop stays during heavy gaming sessions, thanks to its efficient design. The sound quality is a pleasant surprise, too. I initially thought it was average, but after tweaking the Dolby audio settings, I was blown away. It’s the best sound I’ve heard from any gaming laptop. The battery life is also outstanding—using GHelper and optimizing settings, I’m getting 9-11 hours on light use, which is nearly unheard of for a gaming laptop of this caliber. While I’ve tested some beasts this year (looking at you, MSI Titan 18HX and Legion 9i), they couldn’t match the G14’s overall package of performance, portability, and value. Sure, the RTX 4070 isn’t a 4090, but in this machine, it’s perfectly balanced and gets the job done without making you feel like you’re lugging around a desktop replacement. In conclusion, the 2024 Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is my new daily driver and the best laptop I’ve ever used. Whether for work or gaming, it excels in every category that matters—performance, design, display, sound, and battery life. It’s the ultimate gaming laptop for those who need versatility without compromising power.

To say this laptop has been an eye opener is a gross understatement. The graphics are incredible, there are two type C video display ports to which I have two monitors connected. There is also an hdmi port but I prefer the type c DP. The battery power is great I can get three hours of work done unplugged if I need to. I work with maps and spreadsheets and word docs, it handles everything so easily. I’m sorry I didn’t buy this earlier. I’m sure gaming on it is amazing bc watching movies has been epic! I would give it ten stars if I could!

Incredibly light laptop, very portable, it is the same size as my 13'3 Surface Laptop, but lighter than it. Best speakers of any Windows Laptop, and onboard audio is good enough to drive even more demanding headphones like Dan Clark Aeon X Closed (barely). Very good keyboard and amazing trackpad. Fan noise is very acceptable, doing office work (internet browsing, watching videos) the fan doesn't even run, when doing more intensive tasks and gaming it can get loud but not loud enough to bother. Also, due to the amazing speakers the fan noise is hardly a distraction in the end. I don't play a lot of games, but it does a pretty good job delivering "good enough" performance in any title. As a buyer you need to have the right expectations, this is not a super powerful gaming laptop, or a desktop replacement, this is an incredibly portable, light, that can run pretty much any game you throw at it 45+ fps just fine. If your primary use is gaming, there are better options, but this is something you can do anything you need very competently, including gaming, and still carry it around anywhere with you. There are just two areas for improvements, the storage (1tb is too small and it is not a fast NVMe) and keyboard backlight is average at best. If you swap the storage for a higher performance and spacious one, and don't mind the backlight this is the best 14 inches laptop in the market, period.

I've been using the ASUS Zephyrus G14 for a while now, and it's been an absolute pleasure. The display is stunning—the colors are vibrant and accurate, which makes a huge difference, especially when I'm working in DaVinci Resolve. Video editing runs incredibly smoothly, with no lag or stutter, which really surprised me for a laptop this compact. The keyboard is also super comfortable to type on—responsive and smooth, making long sessions feel effortless. Overall, the G14 hits the sweet spot between performance, portability, and display quality. Highly recommend!
