Customers are saying

Customers admire the ROG Zephyrus M15's performance, graphics capabilities, and long battery life. Many appreciate its lightweight design, comfortable keyboard, and ease of use, finding it a good value for the price. However, some users note that the fan noise and heat generation could be improved, and the lack of a built-in camera is a common point of feedback. Storage capacity is also mentioned as an area for potential improvement by some users.

Have had this laptop for a couple of weeks now and it’s been great. I love the design, not too flashy for a professional setting. The fan can get loud while your playing games but it’s not even noticeable for me when I’m actually playing with a headset in. It’s fairly quiet when your just using it for internet browsing. I don’t have much computer knowledge but i was given the thumbs up to get this laptop by friends who do.

First things first, not much of a gamer. Needed something with beefy graphics for work (3D acoustics modeling). The price was right and it's lightning fast for what I need. Only complaint is the chassis isn't as stiff as I'd like. Considering the price, that's the trade off to get the specs it has. Get a bag with good protection if you'll travel with it.

My husband said I’d give this 6 stars if there was an option. He absolutely loves it. The display is amazing and has so many options and neat things to do to customize your experience. Very nice looking sort of light weight but doesn’t feel cheap or like it will break easily. Gets sort of loud when playing cod but overall awesome purchase

This is my second gaming laptop made of aluminum which was fat, ,hot and slow compared to this Sleek , slim , fast machine xD. I had to lol Anyways after around 4 months of using it I can fully recommend it to anything its the right price for what you get compared to what I got for 1600$ MSI GE70 Apache pro in 2014. Only regret is not going for a higher graphics card, had the cash but with covid was being hesitant, like the 2070 or even the 2060. The laptop has Three modes with specific tuned settings(silent, Performance and Turbo). on performance playing warzone i get 96 fps on normal/high settings, while in turbo mode i get 112fps. I was also surprised when I hooked it up to my TCL 4k tv via HDMI warzone was at 50fps with some settings turned down but fortnite runs at 60fps 4k no tearing or other issues. Looks really nice coming from someone that have never experienced 4k gaming till now. Thermals are good in performance mode with an ave. 76c with a cooling bad it drops to 72 c which is not bad and you get a bit of an fps boost. Turbo mode is pretty loud at 42db but games run a bit better since you get a pretty decent boost but i run 80-82c with cooling pad. Overall I would recommend this product its light and powerful!

Great performance based laptop and so far it runs quiet. The GPU delivers strong graphics, but some of the colors are a little muted. The laptop is lightweight, and so far seems durable. Battery life is amazing, and it last 6+ hours. I recommend this laptop for users that need a strong laptop to code, design or edit video.

I love my new gaming lappy. It’s my first one. I had a regular old thing I used for work but this one is sooo fast. I can play my games while having down time while working and my computer keeps up amazing. I love it so much. Would recommend for sure

The only complaint, if you could even call it that, I have is battery life. There’s no way you’re going to be able to game for more than a few hours on this thing off battery alone, but otherwise it’s pretty nice and I have no issues playing games on their highest settings. Also, it heats up pretty fast so I definitely suggest a cooling pad!

The laptop didn't disappoint me considering what I upgraded from. It's my first laptop with a 144HZ display. I was able to play games like AC Odyssey and AC Origins on it. When using the ROG Armoury Crate, you have the modes which are window, silent, performance, turbo, and manual. When playing on performance mode for the games I mentioned on an Intel i7 and GTX 1660 Ti, the FPS average is between 40-70. On turbo mode, the FPS average is between 50-90. An issue I encountered is a screeching sound that happens once in awhile where the SSD is located in the laptop when you start your laptop for use. That shouldn't happen unless there is a rotating disc in the storage device (i.e. a HDD). Also, the WIFI card has an issue where it disconnects from your modem/router or it has a hard time connecting to it once in awhile. Overall, I decided to keep the laptop despite the minor issues because I needed a new laptop after my old one broke and everybody bought up all the good gaming laptops because of the pandemic and the computer chip shortage.

I'm an engineering student, and this exceeds all of the requirements, as well as allows me to run several games that require a lot of processing power. The only downside is not having a camera and the fan noise. Apart from that, I have enjoyed using this laptop for the past 5 months!

This was my first "open box" purchase from Best Buy. The experience was fine. In fact, I'm writing this review using this computer. The speed has been excellent, the battery life has been excellent, and the screen display has been excellent. This is also my first ASUS product and I'm very pleased.

Runs great for my uses. (light gaming & regular use). Solid build quality. Fan noise is a little high but you can adjust fan speed modes and curves using the Asus software. Battery life is great when not gaming and has features to help extend the life of the battery. Overall happy with the laptop

Works great, runs most modern games (Halo infinite), witcher, Apex on low/medium settings with high FPS 100-120 With a cooler pad I was able to get it to run 120-180 on low/medium Older games such as Halo master chief collection runs on highest settings.

Laptop is amazing ! I love everything about it. Of course a better GPU would make this thing an absolute beast but the 1660ti is perfect for gaming. 90-100fps is WZ. Same with APEX. Only downside if I had to choose would be that it gets hot pretty quick so a cooling pad is recommended.

I have been incredibly happy with this laptop. I had a Surface Pro 4 and wanted to get something nicer that I could game on and do school work. I found this as an open box item on vacation so I got a great deal on it! (pretty darn lucky!) I have played Call of Duty (Modern Warfare 3), World of Warcraft, and Age of Empire II on this computer. I have had zero problems since getting this laptop. When I game on this laptop, the computer can get a bit noisy because the fan is pretty loud. The computer gets hot but I have never stopped playing because of the temperature. I performed a heat test and it never exceeded the temperature I was looking for (I don't remember the numbers). The computer is able to go as long as I want. (I know I probably shouldn't push it as hard as I do but why not, I'm having fun). My Surface Pro 4 specs were not very impressive. When I would open up several applications and multiple tabs the computer would freeze. This computer, I can open 10 different applications, several internet browsers with multiple tabs, and play music and this laptop just handles it without slowing down. My current set up - I use this computer for gaming and for school. I don't have any storage issues. The 15" size makes this computer easily portable. When I am at home, I connect the computer to a USB-C hub that connects the laptop to two monitors, speakers, headset, camera, keyboard and mouse. My 15" laptop becomes a desktop with plugging in one USB-C cable. I tried to connect a MSI gaming laptop with similar specs to my USB-C hub and it did not want to connect as easily as this computer. Display - On a 15" monitor, I can't say I would complain of any resolution issues. I feel I can see everything clearly when looking at the 15" screen. Most of the time, I am connected to my 2 monitors and have no problems. Battery - Battery seems to last 3-4 hours if I do not game. If I game I would say 1-2 hours is the battery life. This computer is extremely fast coming from a surface pro 4. It was able to handle everything that I have thrown at it in the last year. Camera - I almost returned this computer because it did not come with a camera. I decided to keep the computer because I liked it so much and bought a $20 camera that can be plugged in by USB. I got this computer about a year ago (December 2020 I believe). My only debatable regret is, should I have waited for the new Nvidia graphics cards that came out at the start of 2021? As far as my experience with this laptop, I am extremely happy.

Intermediate gaming laptop and great value on sale

This is an awesome laptop! Currently being used for mild gaming and video editing. I was able to get this as an open box in perfect shape during a Christmas sale for $750. I would say this is an intermediate level gaming laptop as it has the 1660ti and the 144hz screen. It also has the USB 3.2 w/ display port - which means that you can run 2 additional monitors off this laptop. If you intend to do regular gaming or editing I would recommend a cooling pad as this laptop can heat a small room when stressed. My only complaint is that, from time to time, it does not like to come out of sleep/hibernation. You have to hold the power button for around 20 seconds (not 5 like most laptops) to get it to turn off. Then you can restart it. Then it boots up slower than usual and takes a few minutes to get back up to speed. Probably a bios update will eventually fix that. This is not uncommon with ASUS laptops. This is an amazing machine for $750 to $899. Even at it's regular $1299 it is a solid unit.

You might think is a 1660ti but it runs better than a 2060. I got this laptop and a Msi gs66 2060 to run a test. The result comes out this is way better than the 2060. Don’t know how asus did it. But one complain is loud fans and can’t control them. You can only change the fans profiles

Excellent laptop. Runs very fast. Nice keyboard layout. So far the battery has a long life before recharge is needed. I had a small minor issue with the lighted keyboard which is run by software. There is no direct button to adjust the lighted keyboard. Other than that it's a great buy.

Good, just the fans are very loud, but everything else is fine. However, if you run high-graphical/quality games, it will heat up very quickly so I recommend giving your computer a game every session(30 minutes) so it doesn't overheat too much. Good laptop generally.

I just bought this laptop because I needed something for gaming & for video editing. I haven't gotten the chance to edit any videos with it yet, but I am certain that it can do the job. It's quick, it's smooth, it seems reliable. I'm happy with this purchase.
