Pros: Amazing specs for the price. Processor is current gen and very powerful which means you're also getting DDR5 RAM. The RTX 3050 will handle light gaming. Well-optimized games and Triple A games from a few years ago should run absolutely fine. Keyboard is comfortable to type on. Very little flex on the body of the device. Screen is beautiful and I believe it hits 600 nits which means you're getting great HDR since OLED provides per-pixel light control. And with OLED's response times, games look great. Only thing you're missing is the 120fps, but 1080p is much more of a suitable resolution for the RTX 3050 under the hood. The laptop looks nice. I really wanted something that appeared discrete and professional. I didn't want to bring something that looked like it was ripped out of a Stealth Bomber to my local Starbucks. Cons: The back of the laptop is a terrible fingerprint magnet. I can't figure out how to get this thing to use the discrete GPU when on battery power (messed around with power management and in the Nvidia control panel with no dice. I think it has to do with the MUX switch???). I don't want to disable the iGPU because I like that it uses it less intensive tasks to save battery life. Speaking of which, the battery life isn't amazing, but what do you expect? This thing is not some massive gaming laptop or a Macbook Air. The laptop also gets HOT HOT HOT under load. Don't put the thing on your lap or a pillow and do anything intensive. As with any laptop, lots of bloatware is preinstalled, so make sure you delete most of it.

Fantastic for price point and specs! Overall, this laptop gives functionality to both online college use and gaming. I can run a host of games on this laptop and don’t have any many about the system. Pros Display is beautiful and comfortable for multiple hours of viewing Keyboard is comfortable no multiple backlight options offer different environments lighting. It is not multicolor lighting if that is an expectation of yours. Specs Perfect for multi use functionality between school and play Cons Fingerprints stain very easily and after only a little light use, can make the laptop appear very dirty. I recommend either alcohol spray and microfiber cloth to clean, or find a case that the laptop sits in. (I have yet to find one I like so I go for the later option) ****important note**** The first laptop I purchased was new out of the box and I soon discovered it had overheating issues that would cause the fans to run loudly, and the laptop would get so hot underneath it would burn. I exchanged it for another new laptop with best buy and have had no issues since the exchange.

Appalling battery life on an otherwise perfect PC

I should note: I am an absolute ASUS fan. My past three laptops have all been ASUS. I've tried to shop around for other brands, but I inevitably find my way back home to ASUS. This laptop PC is perfect in every way. Beautiful OLED screen. Blazing fast processing speeds and seamless multitasking (practically chuckling at my 30 open browser tabs) while sporting a graphics card that can run all my favorite PC games on High settings. And visually... Oooff. Beautiful sleek design, sturdy build and a slim form factor, and lightweight materials with a premium feel. Even the typing experience on the keys is an absolute delight - just to add a little extra cherry on top. This is a beautifully spec'd, beautifully built device, with a beautifully screen, beautiful harmon/kardon audio, and beautiful internal muscle. It has everything I could have wanted in my new ASUS laptop. ...EXCEPT for the battery. Oh, the battery... Marketed as having "10 hrs" of battery life—and confirmed by many (somewhat suspect?) reviews—I didn't give the battery life a second thought. Until I ran the thing and saw it dwindling precipitously. More experimentation and the truth of this game-capable PC seems to have settled: there's less than 2 hours of battery life at full settings. This thing has absolutely terrible battery life. Truly horrendous. I've switched to Battery-Optimized power settings, and been forced to turn my beautiful OLED screen down to 50% brightness - to add (maybe) another hour. As an example: I am currently doing nothing but writing this review, with a single browser tab open, no background programs, and power set to Battery-Efficiency with 50% screen brightness. I am at 80% battery life with 2 hours left. I am currently at a loss. What's the use of all those visual, audio, processing and gaming specs, if I can't finish a gaming session without plugging in? What do I do with a gorgeous powerhouse of a laptop, if it can only really BE a "laptop" for 1.5-2 hours? There's low battery life, and then there's low battery life... And <2 hours is a mighty hard pill to swallow. I don't often leave reviews, but I felt I had to leave an honest one for this. As an ASUS fan who loves their products, and was excited beyond words for this laptop... This is a tough blow. I want to find every reason to love this device... But I have a feeling I just bought myself a /slightly/ more mobile desktop. I WANT to recommend it; but I can't do so wholeheartedly. This battery issue is just too high a hurdle. In the meantime, I'm hoping this review helps provide some clarity—and caution—for future buyers.

I've tested the laptop for over a month so far and haven't found any major issues except if you need to replace the laptop's battery. If the laptop is still under warranty, bring the laptop to a factory authorized dealer to replace the defective battery. The battery life has been very satisfactory and the processor speed is exceptional. I do like the display, speed, storage space & lightweight feel compared to other laptops. I would've liked more RAM & a built-in Blue-Ray/DVD+RW for the price but nothing's perfect. I would recommend this laptop for business use but not gaming.

This laptop has truly exceeded my expectations and proven itself to be one of the finest I've owned. The remarkable value for the price paid makes it a standout choice. Its impeccable speed and abundant storage erase any concerns. As a student pursuing a cyber security education, I frequently engage in tasks like crafting intricate networks in Cisco packet tracer or coding intricate programs in Python. Remarkably, this laptop handles these tasks without a hint of lag. In comparison, my previous Dell laptop, the 7501 series 2-in-1 with touch pen and 360-degree folding capability, which cost the same a year ago, pales in comparison to the load-bearing prowess of this machine. If you're contemplating a personal purchase or a gift, I wholeheartedly endorse this laptop – satisfaction is virtually guaranteed.

Slim and powerful - with a catch*

First of all, if you can catch this on sale (~$400 off during black friday) its worth every penny. Nothing else comes close to these specs for that price. Design: Crazy thin, light, and sleek . 15.6" is a good sweet spot between portability and productivity. I love all matte black... but beware this finish holds fingerprints like MAD. But if you can live with it, or clean it constantly, it can be overlooked. Display: Bright, vivid colors, perfect blacks. If you've experienced OLED before, you already know. Absolutely stunning display with a catch*** which is the glossy finish. On one hand, glossy finish means the OLED can reach it's full potential, because the coating won't interfere with the display potential. However, it is VERY reflective, which means you will be seeing LOTS of reflections in bright environments - distracting but not unusable imo. But in dim / dark environments, its perfectly fine - actually beautiful. Performance: This machine is perfect for productivity work that requires discrete graphics. The 13900H is about as good as you can get for a mobile chip. The 3050 is enough to do handle most graphic workloads, with the ability to do some gaming on the side. But don't expect it to match a dedicated gaming laptop. Battery: I have experienced excellent battery life unlike many other reviews. I can easily get 8+ hours on balanced mode, doing light tasks (web browsing, youtube, etc). Expect that to be cut down quickly if you are doing anything more intesive.

The ASUS Vivobook 15.6" Creator Laptop is an absolute beast! With its Intel 13th Gen Core i9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, it handles everything I throw at it with ease – from video editing to gaming. The 16GB memory and 1TB SSD provide ample space and speed for all my projects, while the HD display brings my work to life with stunning clarity. Plus, the sleek black design adds a touch of sophistication. It's the perfect blend of power and style, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Purchased this laptop in mid-August 2023, I have been using this for more than a month now on a daily basis. So far, my experience with this machine has been very good. The OLED display is amazing, laptop starts within few seconds (all thanks to the 16GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD). The webcam of this laptop is amazing, I gave few interviews with the video on and I quite liked the quality of it. When it comes to audio, the in-built speakers are quite crisp and loud. The machine does not heat up after prolonged use. It also comes with lot of ports so you can connect your USB devices(including C-type) and HDMI and SD CARD capability. It also has a graphics card, but I am not much of a gamer, so can't comment on it. If you are an engineering student, this would be a good fit for you. I have not encountered any problems, the only complain I have is that the battery life could have been a little better.

PROS •Great Specs for the price (13th Gen Core I9-13900H + NVIDIA RTX3050 6GB Refresh + 1TB SSD) •Solid Build Quality •Excellent Port Selection (x1 Thunderbolt 4, x1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, x2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, Ethernet Jack, Combo Audio Jack, Full Standard SD card reader) •Decent Audio Speakers and Audio Jack Output Quality •Passable Webcam Quality with Privacy Cover CONS •The OLED screen produces fuzzy text (My eyes could not focus - possibly PWM and/or Temporal Dithering issue) •8GB Soldered RAM + 8GB SO-DIMM DDR5 (Can be replaced with a 16GB SO-DIMM - making it upgradable only up to 24GB). Would have preferred if it was 16GB Soldered RAM + Empty SO-SODIMM Slot for upgrade. If upgraded to 24GB, only the 16GB runs in quad-channel mode, and the 8GB runs in dual-channel mode. •Moderately audible fan noise even when just web browsing •Outer Laptop Surface is Fingerprint Magnet (Inner surface is good since it is matte) •Keypad typing accuracy is not good (might be due to small and tightly spaced keys) •Bottom area can get quite warm The ASUS Creator Laptop Q QLED (Q540) (K6502VJ - Mainboard model according to CPU-Z) comes with great overall specs given the selling price. It's almost the perfect affordable creator laptop. Not only does it possess all the necessary specs and full I/O ports, but it also boasts a sturdy build quality. Unfortunately, the OLED screen was a deal breaker for me. My eyes just could not focus when reading text. The text looks fuzzy no matter how hard I try to focus. The OLED screen itself is beautiful when watching movies though. It would have been nice if the aspect ratio was 16:10 instead of 16:9 for more vertical viewing area. The screen is also quite reflective due to it being glossy, which is bad in some lighting conditions. The PWM (Flicker) and Temporal Dithering are major issues with OLED screens. I highly suggest visiting a physical Best Buy store and check the laptop screen to see if the text clarity okay with your eyes. I wish there was an IPS screen version of this laptop with an RTX 4050 or 4060. Hope you find my review helpful.

I got this laptop as I'm going into my next semester in engineering. This laptop pretty much has everything I need. Going from an i5 to an i9 is a whole other world, plus the RTX 3050 is great for both simulations and some gaming on the side. The display, while not touch screen, is super clear and I love the high refresh rate. The RAM is upgradable (I added a 16GB DDR5 SODIMM bringing it from 16GB to 24GB) and down the line, the SSD is upgradable too (although 1TB is a lot right now.) Upgradability down the line is a huge perk with this laptop. Very satisfied with the specs for the cost. I'm a Best Buy employee and I recommend this laptop every time!

High performance Laptop available in $1k range. Vibrant display, sturdy build quality and good form factor.Played NFS Deluxe edition and it was smooth. Fan noise was loud while playing NFS. Fan noise grows dynamic means it is based on the task demand on the graphics card and the processor. For other simpler tasks it was quieter. It was quiet understandable for the given form factor and high cooling needs for the demanding tasks. As mentioned by others laptop holds finger smudges. Fingerprint sensor embedded power button works well so far. Overall it's a compact workstation.

This laptop is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a lightweight yet powerful gaming laptop. The keyboard is exceptionally comfortable, preventing finger fatigue even after long hours of use. Overall, a fantastic option for those who want a sleek, fast, and gamer-friendly laptop. The lightweight design doesn't come at the expense of power, making it an excellent choice for gamers who value portability.

It was time to replace my beloved Asus Q524u. This laptop is basically the same thing minus a touch screen and much lighter/sleeker. The Oled... i have no words for how beautiful it is. Everything is crisp and clear. Looking forward to using it for processing photos. Sd slot is a huge plus. Im a software developer so the 16GB memory & i9 is an upgrade to my previos 12GB & 7th gen i7. Compilers are running so much faster. Very happy with the purchase, especially at the lower price point compared to similar laptops. Despite the specs saying there is only one slot, there IS an additional M.2 slot. I have provided a picture with my added ssd inserted for reference.

Very nice laptop...extremely great screen, speakers are nice and loud and crisp compared to the 14x model i ended up keeping because it had touchscreen and a little better battery life. But this unit definitely has more power. Compared it to my old lg gram as well and this model or the 14x are both awesome because of the 500 nits brightness and oled high res screen.

Excellent Windows computer for my needs surfing the internet, email and social networking. Windows 11 is a bit of an issue but not really applicable to this review. There are some nice hardware features like a hardware switch to disconnect the microphone and video camera aside from a shade for the camera. I'm very pleased with the graphics and the extra Asus utilities. I will note that I added additional memory to give me a total of 40 GB. Battery life is not a real issue with me since I use the laptop as a desktop computer. I've got a minor issue with keyboard sensitivity because I get a lot of double letters when I type. The audio is pretty decent for a laptop and there is decent stereo differentiation.

Now that. box is going the route of all-digital, figured Id dive into the PC space. So far, this laptop has me running most games confortably at 1080p, between 45-90 fps. a good average is probably about 55 fps. That is great to me. The fans will quick up, but I never felt the laptop like super hot like others claim; just warm. Anyway, as just a laptop, its fast and responds quickly with ever click Bootup is 5-15 seconds and Im ready to go. And the OLED….. I will NEVER go back to and ISP, LED, LCD, etc ever again. OLED is absolutely stunning. Movies on it look incredible. The games, jaw dropping… NEVER going back. I got this on sale. It came with the highest tier Bestbuy Total Membership for a total of $1030; and I am already taking advantage of the membership by having GeekSquad fix my other PCs at no additional cost. Anyway, tbe laptop is great. As my fisrt gaming laptop and just new laptop in general after about 7 years, I am highly satisfied. If you can get this for 1000 bucks, I think you got a good deal. Oh and you can upgrade the SSD and RAM later if you want.

Absolutely amazing upgradable choice, especially when purchased on sale!! Did some stability and performance test after upgraded to 40G RAM and 3T SSD. Running smoothly for 60-120 frames for several 3A games, and received 12000+ CPU rating with Geekbench 6. There are 9 screws on the back. Once opened, detached the battery, you might need to take off 2 metal huds. Then, ssd can be installed to the left section by driving off only 1 screw, and the replaceable RAM is an 8G 4800MHz DDR5 of Samsung. In the end, I'd describe the i9 version priced at $899 as an incredibly astounding discount and my top choice since last year.

Now that I have been using this laptop for almost a year I can say it was an excellent value. I wish it weren’t so heavy, but that’s a small issue. I needed a replacement laptop in a hurry last summer so this was the best I could afford on short notice and I honestly didn’t expect it to be exactly what I needed. I’m so relieved I didn’t wait to spend more and get something else.

I bought this laptop with the intwntion of using it for school. I am studying data science and need something capable. I also wanted a laptop i could use for light gaming. So far ive had no problem running python(coding language) or playing GTA IV. I upgraded the RAM to 24gb and added a 2nd 1TB SSD. Id also like to add that I purchased the laptop ad an open-box excellent. The laptop came like new with no indicators of usage. This laptop has impressive specs at a reasonable price especially if you take advantage of open-box or other deals. I woupd definately recommend this laptop for any professional or academic setting.
