    does everything quick and it’s fun to use, nice keyboard and trackpad and a beautiful screen great sound go music or videos and a fantastic battery life. but the processor blows, can’t run a lot of apps and many times native app windows (like settings) will open with very awkward quirks like sometimes completely black, or extremely zoomed in for some reason in ability to remove installed programs can’t r

    Good Laptop but Screen Flickering Hurts Rating

    Purchased in early November, I was very eager to test out the Qualcomm ARM CPU experience as the reviews for the laptops powered by these CPU's had been good. Performance wise, I concur with the reviews, the performance is quite good and the specs are good for the price. This laptop has the OLED screen which is very much appreciated in this price range, but it has been very problematic for me. The screen has a flicker that causes it to go black and then come back on, several times an hour. All of the drivers are up to date, I've reinstalled the package with the video driver, and nothing I do resolves the issue. I have almost taken it back to Best Buy a couple of times but I am hoping I discover the cause of this, which I think might be software related, or an update from Microsoft or Asus comes along and the problem gets resolved. Overall, the machine has decent build quality, there is some flex in the deck, but that is probably to be expected with a laptop so thin and light. The screen, when not flickering, displays gorgeous colors and HDR content and seems quite color accurate. Storage and memory are both totally fine and quite fast and WiFi 7 will come in handy down the line. I hate to knock the score down on the machine but really, this screen issue, it's a major problem and I don't know if I just got a bad display or if this is a software issue. I may end up returning it if I can't get a resolution on my own.

    Excellent while it lasted. I hope I just got a dud

    The laptop was excellent for the 2 days it worked flawlessly. It's extremely fast, you NEVER hear the fan even while running CPU intensive apps, screen is beautiful, and it's extremely light for a 15-inch laptop. Games that are built for ARM run fantastically. I'm running a PS2 emulator in 1080p with texture packs and it runs flawlessly at 60fps with no fan noise. Unfortunately, games not built for ARM don't run great at all (which is most of them right now). A few things that I'm not a fan of though. First, no touchscreen. At the regular $900 price point, competitors have touchscreens. I bought it during Black Friday so I can't complain for how much I spent. Secondly, speakers are bottom firing speakers. They sound great, but only when the laptop is on a table. They're pretty muffled if you use the laptop on a bed or any soft surface. If the laptop is on your lap, they sound pretty good but not as good as if the laptop is on a table. Lastly, there's no Play/Pause/Next/Previous media buttons. Beyond annoying for me. The fact that I have to download another software to do this in Spotify is sad. Now for the "dud" part. Laptop still works, except that when I unplug it, there's a good chance that it'll just reboot. Every time I power it on from an off state, it'll start loading, reboot, run a disc check, and then load Windows. No idea what the problem is but it's annoying again. Overall, I'm pretty picky and really like this laptop. Hoping Asus comes through and fixes mine so I don't have to return it.

    Cut rate CPU gimps performance

    16 Gigs of RAM is the new standard. 512 Gig 2280 SSD is upgradeable. 3K OLED screen is very sharp. Battery life is around 10 to 13 hours, so not really MacBook level. The APU on the other hand, was an after thought, a cutdown 64 model (42), with a cutdown GPU. This presents a huge issue as it takes away CPU and GPU cores, leaving you with an overall average CPU that has more issues emulating X86 software and that’s unfortunate. Look at the MacBook Air, those things live up to the hype.

    Really disappointed...

    Maybe standards in the PC industry have eroded in the last decade or so but this laptop is a big disappointment to me. To start with, I understood the keyboard to be backlit. But it's not. there is decorative illumination *around* the keys, but the characters on the keys themselves are not lit up at all. So it's kind of like using little xmas tree lites as a work light. Not good at all. Then trying to to install existing software which runs on my desktop and other laptop is a problem here because of the skimpy Windows OS setup. For example Adobe Photoshop Elements, which I have running on a Win10 laptop & a Win11 desktop, to me a day and a half to get installed because of DLL files missing in the common OS library. Now it's installed but waiting for me to change some Windows security settings to get running. I wish I had returned it within the 15 day return window.

    Someone at Asus needs to go back and test this thoroughly, starting with the paint finish. My god the fingerprints. It is a total fingerprint oil magnet. Who at Asus thought this was a good idea? Also, why does it shut down randomly while it's asleep? And the OLED display is horrid if you're sensitive to PWM because yes, it runs on it.

    Overall a fine choice if you get it on sale. Be aware that it will struggle to run unsupported applications due to the processor. It is also incredibly delicate, any small drops or bumps will dent this computer forever.

    The display is still worse than Macbook or Samsung. The camera area design looks not very stylish. Don't see heating issues.

    No touchscreen as advertised, may have to return

    I was told it had a touchscreen. It does NOT have a touchscreen. Otherwise, I like ASUS
