Average phone for an average small home office.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this phone because I needed a phone from my home office. I enjoyed all of the features the phone has to offer. I especially liked the large buttons, backlit display, and handset phone. The speakerphone, it’s OK, however, it is very sensitive and therefore does cut out at times. Overall, I really enjoy the phone and would recommend it to anybody.

Good phone, but call history feature is inadequate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The overall features of this phone are good, but I am not satisfied with the call history feature. Before purchasing this model I used an ATT 825 speakerphone with a separate caller ID box. If the green light on the caller ID box was blinking, I was alerted that someone tried to call. After many years of reliable service, the caller ID box needed replacement because the display was fading. I opted to replace this with the ATT 17929 phone with a built in caller ID. This is my main phone, but I have a separate answering machine. The problem is that when the phone rings and the answering machine is activated, the screen does not show this as a "new call" to be reviewed, because it has already been responded to by the answering machine. Therefore, I am not aware of any new call activity unless I make the effort to see if there were any recent entries to the call history log. It was so much easier in the past to glance at my caller ID box and look for the blinking green light.

Doesn't fit everywhere.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On the wall it projected out too far. Had to return it. Nice large buttons though, easy to read and use.

disconnection issue
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had issues with hanging up the phone. When I press the receiver button it doesn't disconnect. If you do, the phone will ring and the other call will still be on the line , or dial one comes up.

Good phone for price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My only criticism is that while it is a 2-line phone, I only have 1 line and no one is able to tell me how to turn off the 2nd line so that it's not constantly lit as being "in use".

Great phone except
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this was a great phone, I loved that it sat up nicely and it was very nice looking was clear when on the handset but the speaker phone wasn't great and would cutout unless you were very close to it and the deal breaker for me was that it is not "dual something or other" (I can't remember the tech. term for it) which means that if you and the other person speak at the same time it cuts one of you out the conversation only goes one way at a time if this doesn't bother you and you dont use the speaker phone unless you are sitting in front of it the whole time (desk work) then it is a great phone

OK for my purpose
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only wanted to know who is calling and this does the job. The display is smaller and hard to read. It is a nice speaker phone.

Too difficult to set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my mother, who is 92. It was too difficult to set up, so we returned it for a regular Trimline phone. I'm sure someone with more knowledge than we have would find it easy to set up and use, but, since she didn't need all the features, it went back. Best Buy was wonderful in accepting the return and I give them 5 Stars for customer service!!

It worked but...
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is big and clunky. It does what it is supposed to do. That’s it. Make sure that you have a ton of desk space to fit this monster on or you will be sorry. This phone is not easy to use. Do not lose the instructions.

Fair
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replacing the same phone after only a year. The new phone is working well, but we should not have had to replace after only a year.

there is no answering machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.there is a lot to this phone 2 incoming lines ,a display, a directory but do not confuse voice mail with an answering machine . In order to get voice mail or your messages you have to sign up with your pone service provider at an extra cost this machine does not retrieve messages

Not great but only option
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not need 2 lines but Best Buy has absolutely NO options for a phone with ANSWERING and CALLER ID. Had to take the only option available for a CORDED phone.

VERY POOR QUALITY SPEAKER
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The speaker on the phone is not audible the person on the other end can not hear me well ~ my voice keeps going in and out. I will always have to come off of speaker because the other party can not understand what I am saying they always say you are breaking up badly. Manufacture really needs to work on the speaker part Overall the phone is pretty good easy to set up, but would not recommend to my friends because of very poor quality speaker, everyone needs hand free when working.
