This car charger is great only one thing that would make it perfect is the way it holds to the vents. Need to be a four way hold

Overall good charging mount for you phone. The MagSafe is strong enough to hold your phone. But beware if you have a pro model, the phone might rock side to side while driving since the phone is so heavy. If you can find a way to keep your air vent from moving to keep it in place, that would help. Other than that it’s a good mount. Very convenient to mount your phone and charge it all at once rather than plugging it in to the phone port.

I needed a fast charger for my car. This is exactly what I needed!

We now have 3 of these. Wish they had somewhere else to mount of their than the vent. During the winter running heat tends to out unnecessary heat on the phone. I used an old mount with the ball to mount elsewear.

I wanted to love it but since it placed on my vent my phone overheats since its winter and i have the heat on full blast. Great product if you dont have the heat on high often

This charger worked well until it broke about a month into using it. I had not touched it since plugging it into my car, but somehow the metal battery part on the very end got pushed too deep into the plastic component and I can not get it to pop back out. Took it into a store and they could not repair it. Really disappointing because it was such a great charger up until this point!

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to a car magsafe charger, just go for this one. It just works, and does everything exactly as it is made out to do.

For $35 I wouldn’t call this product a worthy phone holder. Due to the fact that it tend to not only fall out of the vent if I accelerate to fast, but also because even having a MagSafe case a single bump on the road can knock my phone off the holder entirely. So for $35 I feel this could have been made a lot better!

It was great for 3 days then it completely broke off and now I can’t clip it on my car vent! It’s useless for what I bought it for!

Easy breaks Cant handle iphone 14 pro max Really dissapointed

It is important to keep our phones with enough charge for our daily activities and having a charger in the car is very helpful, however although this product has features that I like, it does not end up fulfilling its purpose satisfactorily. The charger has a usb cable that is long enough to be able to hide it between some spaces on the dashboard of the car, in the back has the mechanism that holds the charger in the vents. Regarding the charger itself, I can say that it is good, it charges the phone quickly and holds the phone very well, despite the movement that is generated when driving, the phone does not fall. The connection is through a car adapter that besides keeping the charger connected, has an extra usb port in case you want to connect another device to charge it, a very useful detail by the way. I have no problem with the performance of the charger and how well it holds the phone, the only drawback I find, and that at least for me is important, is that if you want to remove the phone from the charger with one hand and the phone has a case compatible with magsafe, the charger comes off of the vent with the phone and you have to reinstall the charger. The ideal way to avoid this would be to use both hands, but then that would ruin the fact that it is compatible with iphone12 and up that have magsafe compatibility. With the above it is clear that the problem is not the charge or the magnet to hold the phone, but the system that has to hold the charger in the vent is very weak and this part is essential in everyday use. In conclusion this device fulfills its purpose but not completely, the factor that it does not stay in place when you remove your phone makes one interested in other alternatives.

No frills vent car mount for your Apple MagSafe with charging. It is convenient to be able to charge when mounted. Specs are 5w/7.5w/10w via magsafe and 5w from the USB-A port. It appears to be fast enough charge to not drain my battery while using Apple Maps or Waze. What I’m disappointed in is that there is no way to tighten the vent clip. It’s a one-setting vent clip so I would be doubtful if it works with larger and heavier phones like the iPhone 14 Pro Max. I can confirm that it works with my iPhone 14 Pro. The magnets also aren’t the strongest but my phone hasn’t fallen off yet. Just make sure you have a MagSafe case or it will never work right. Pros: *Best bang for the buck on charging and phone holder *Easy install *Comes with everything to get started Cons: *No vent clip tensioning *Mediocre magnetism (even with magsafe case) I would recommend this for the price. Just make sure to have a regular sized phone, not the super-sized ones, and have a magsafe compatible case. Those are the ones with the built-in magnetic ring found in my photos.

I wish I could’ve given this a higher rating but it falls short. I’ll explain why below. It’s nicely made. Doesn’t feel or look cheap. It matches the iPhone aesthetic so it is beautiful paired together. The cord is long and it has a solid weight to it. You cannot detach the cord from the unit or the charger portion, so if the cord ever goes bad in the future you’ll have to buy a new charger altogether instead of replacing the cord. However, I do like the additional usb slot for another device cord located on the charger that you put into the 12 volt socket. It lights up blue for clear visibility. The unit fits nice and snug into my air vents. It doesn’t block much of the airflow as I’m able to position it lower. The magnet is strong and holds onto my phone with and without my phone case pretty solidly. But here’s my problem with the unit… When I have my 3rd party leather MagSafe case on, the unit will detect my phone and begin charging immediately, but after 1-2 minutes I notice that it stops charging. As if it’s disconnected but it’s not. It’s still snugly attached to the magnet. If I detach my case I don’t have a problem with the charge disconnecting. However, without my case the phone will overheat if the air is not running or windows aren’t down to allow cool air to circulate around phone while charging. So if it’s hot out don’t have your bare phone charging on this unit. I mentioned I’m using a 3rd party MagSafe phone case because I’m unaware if this would be an issue with an Apple MagSafe plastic case or thinner case in general. Additionally, I have never had to remove my case to charge my phone on my other MagSafe car charger similar to this unit or any one in my home. It’s never been a problem or have interfered with charging before. On a positive note it does charge fairly quickly, but I can’t stand behind a charger that is failing to charge my phone while it’s in its case. I shouldn’t have to remove my case to get a full charge.

My once top of the line vehicle is a little long in the tooth and simple upgrades like this make it worth keeping just a little bit longer. Best Buy’s magnetic wireless charger provides a simple and useful addition to vehicles that may not have integrated navigation systems. And for those in the delivery or transportation industry who use their own vehicles, this is something that should almost be standard issue. Proprietary apps used to guide workflow do not translate to modern vehicle console information centers and require the users’ phone to be in view to receive updates and other relevant information. This charger will allow your phone to be within viewing range in an easy to install package that comes with the benefits of magnetic wireless charging, an added USB port, and an inadvertent (maybe?) cooling solution for your phone. These phones can generate enough heat during operation to the point the software will shut down charging to extend battery life. If this is mounted in front of an AC vent, this design can prevent that charging shut down process from happening if conditions keep the phone cool enough. The ball joint on the back could be a little stiffer when tightened down. The attachment that pinches on to the AC vent can be hard to get on and I advise caution when installing. Excessive force can break your vents.

After getting a new MagSafe phone, and a new car, I felt it was time to upgrade my phone holder as well. I purchased one that was very strong, and my phone never fell off the mount, but it was constantly sliding off of my air vent. The other downside was that it didn’t charge my phone at the same time, but this Best Buy Essential Magnetic Wireless Car Charger for iPhone has been great! Out of the box, easy to setup and you just slide it on your air vent of choice. No need to assemble anything at all. I adjusted it, and tilted it to my liking and plugged it into the power outlet on my dash. What I noticed instantly was the fact that there is also another USB port for if you need an additional gadget charged, or someone else if in your car and needs charging. You only need one hand to take your phone off of this charger, which is a plus and a feature my previous model lacked. It has not budged, not have I had to readjust it back in my vent. My phone has not fallen, and the magnet is just strong enough to the point it’s not too strong. This also allows you to be able to turn your phone in landscape mode which is such a plus for me. Overall, this is a great MagSafe charger for your phone from Bestbuy. Simple, easy, and gets the job done.

After 175+ reviews as a TIN member, I'm seeing what appears to be BB's attempt to offer well priced, BB Branded items. Similar to how another very large on-line retailer from Seattle started their "Basics" product line in 2009, BB appears ready to answer that bell. This product is a good starting point. Designed to work with the Apple MagSafe magnetic wireless charging system. It is essentially a Qi standard based wireless charger but with the addition of the powerful (and cleverly designed) magnetic attaching system. Personally I am an Android guy, but my wife loves her Apple iOS environment. We used this in her car with her iPhone 13 Pro. The "good" was that it held relatively large iPhone firmly while driving, but it did NOT hold the phone while the phone was in it's case. Admittedly, there are cases designed to allow this, but her being a very active cyclist and general all-around outdoor athlete, she likes the protection that her robust case offers. Is this a ding to this product? Well, no, but just something to note if you are considering this technology. The other minor issue we had is that the "notch" that is designed to be placed into your cars vent is tight. As in VERY tight. It was difficult to get it attached. Additionally, most car vents are not designed to hold the weight of large phone like the iPhone 13 Pro. I would worry about how the vents would hold up over time. We were able (using good old fashioned Country Girl and Boy ingenuity) get it mounted alternatively, but having more standard options would be a "nice to have". End of the day, a decent product and she is happy that she can drive while simultaneously charging her phone and looking at the happy faces of Mr. Sam and The Pinto Bean!

Make sure that you don’t have a very thick case or the magnetic portion of this device will not work. For best results use without a case with a thin case or with a case it has a magnetic mag safe array. Charges a second device with an included USB port which is literally a two for one. Snaps magnetically into place to ensure a secure hold. It will block most of your AC vents so that might be an issue. The style of this wireless car charger is sleek and modern. It will fit in any vehicle as far as design. To charge your device place it on the mount on the center of the wireless car charger with the screen facing out it’s impossible to use it any other way. Plug one end of the USB cable into your car chargers USB port plug the other in into your other mobile devices which could be your watch or your AirPods and once it begins charging your device and the LED lights blue very cool option.

worked wonders in my 2011 Chevy Volt, fits perfectly on my left vent and gives me perfect access to swipe music since my steering wheel doeent have next and previous song controls, and better yet, it has more than enough cable to be able to be ran from my centre console lighter port all the way to the air vent on the left side of my steering wheel with some cable to spare, and gives me an extra usb plug for other things! charges my phone super quick too! amazing purchase, just one change id like to see is possibly a removable cable, but other than that its a 10/10
