Perfect little entry level security system. Easy to install. Easy to connect. If you plan on storing any of your recordings, Blink offers a plan for $100 a year. The system set up is so easy, I am confident that those who are even technologically challenged can set up the system. Installation is a breeze. The base connects to a surface with two screws and the camera pops right onto the base. I cannot comment on the battery life, for the first month it worked just as you'd expect it to, I easily purchased power cords for mine off of Amazon - if you choose to go this route, take the cameras design into consideration, with the power cord plugged in, it is difficult to tilt the camera downward and Blink has removed the option from their APP to "Flip" the camera if you have to mount it upside-down. So if you are placing it up high and want to run a cord to it, remember this for mounting. If you're just running the battery, you'll have no issue at all. If you're wondering about the range, I have a camera mounted on the exterior second floor of my house, and there are zero issues with recording motion. I also have another camera mounted in a tree adjacent to my front porch, its proximity from the Wifi and the Sync Module is approximately 25ft. One more thing of note, the night video is recorded in black and white, which can cause things like faces to be washed out if they are closer to the camera, if you'd like color night time video, pair this with a dusk to dawn light.

Work great and easy to install. Picture is clear. IR at night isn’t the best but it’s not the worst either. Well worth the investment. Can even talk to the people through the camera speaker. No fee for video cloud storage like other cameras have. Battery life is pretty good once you get the camera sensitivity and other parameters set to what best suits you. I have 8 camera on multiple angles at each corner of the house.

I wanted to put in an easy outdoor camera system that was affordable. And this mult-camera system fit the bill when it was on sale! I have mixed emotions about the entire system. The devices themselves are great. But for every feature I like about the system, there is a system/application limitation that I don't like. The Good Very small cameras, each take 2 AA Lithium batters, and pair easily to the provided hub. They provide a mounthing bracket and an angle adapter to allow for a vertical and horizontal mount. Mounts are held in with a couple screws, and were easy to install. Image quality is pretty good. They have a wide angle of view, and allow you to hear and talk through the live stream. Local storage option (micro SD card) will allow you save your videos locally, and you don't have to have their subscription service. The timeline is pretty easy to use in the app, and it's easy to download videos if you want to save them. Oddly enough, the app blocks taking screen shots and I'm not sure why. Night vision is pretty good. It doesn't see very far on infrared, but, I suspect that is due to it being battery based, and they don't have a ton of IR transmitters on each unit. Motion clips can vary in length, but the app warns you about batterty life if you go much beyond the default. If it's a high traffic area. You probably want to keep them short for high-traffic areas, or plan to replace batteries more frequently. The Bad First, the mounts. Attaching the mount without the adapter was virtually impossible. The plastic was soo hard, and the tolerance was so tight that attaching just the mounting bracket was so hard, I am not sure I could do that when the mount was on the wall. Now, with the horizontal adapter attached, it was no problem at all. so I made sure I picked horizontal mouting locations. I understand previous versions had mounts that were too weak, so perhaps this pendulum swung too far the other way. Where a subscription is no required (yay), they do have application limiations that push you towards the subscriptions, like, when you run out of local storage, you have to delete the videos one by one. You cannot select multiple to delete. But you can with the cloud storage. :-| The biggest annoyance is that, where you can arm and disarm the entire system, or enable/disable individual cameras, there is no built-in capability to arm or disarm based on location, only based on a schedule. To do it, you have to use a 3rd party service called IFTTT, which seems like overkill. The subscription plan isn't horribly expensive, at $10/month or $100/year for an unlimited number of cameras and unlimited storage. That being said, it would be really nice if I could have just one subscription for all of my amazon-owned systems, including Bling and Ring. Or maybe if they rolled it into a Prime membership... or an add-on to Prime even. Summary In summary, the system as some pros and some cons, but overall, I'm pretty happy with it. My biggest goal was not to have to wire my house for cameras, and this system fits that goal really well. If you can wire everything up, there's probably better systems to use (Amcrest, Reolink, etc.). The biggest test will be to see how long I actually get out of battery life. My cameras range from low traffic to occasional traffic, to "higher" traffic, so, it will be interesting to see what the various battery life will be. Plus Winter is coming, which will probably affect battery performance as well.

great but not perfect. ive owned arlo 1st gen and these blow that away. battery life last longer and takes 2 aa lithium as opposed to 4 cr123 lithium batteries arlo takes. pictures are excellent. only downside is the 100 dollar a year subscription needed to remote view. i was hoping i could just use the 64 gigabyte thumbdrive to remote view but thats not the case. overall satisfied.

Excellent product, easy install and the batteries last a long time which makes it great for a wireless camera, that way you don't have to worry about charging the batteries constantly. The added sync module also helps with storing recordings to a USB flash drive so there's no need fpor a subscription. (USB is sold separately)

Purchased and installed this system over the weekend replacing an older Arlo (1st Gen) quickly noticed really low quality of night vision with Blink. Blink support did not help much and only told me that’s the best 1080p could do when it clearly wasn’t. If you really need a camera system during the day, this is a great inexpenaive version to go with but my experience was not the same results for night. It may work for you just sharing my own testimony. I hooked up the old cameras from Arlo and quickly did notice the better quality in Arlo. Will be returning the Blink system and returning to Arlo for now. Also if it’s a big deal to anyone, Blink does not have it yet have compatible capabilities for screenshots snips to be viewed on Apple Watch like Arlo provides. Just one thing that helped without having to pull phone out and open app to view what could be just an animal over a person or vehicle.

These Blink XT’s are a no frills, easy to setup, and easy to use camera system. 1080p resolution looks great on the app, and battery power simplifies setup in areas without an electric socket. One thing to be aware of, since these are battery powered, you don’t get an always-on live feed, and there is a delay when you want to start a live feed, but when the system is armed, motion will automatically trigger the camera to record and you’ll receive a notification of the event via the app. Installed this system in a new location, and I’m able to seamlessly view both old and new locations using the same account in the Blink app without issue. Definitely would recommend these if you’re looking for something that’s simple to install and easy to use.

Incredible for price on just how versatile, reliable and user-friendly the product is. They are able to go into spots normal wired setups would be too restricted by space, wiring or practicality concerns. This unit can go up independent if anything other than he sync module and a connect signal to it to be effective. I have had a neighbor harassing me for months and no way to prove my argument even to my wife who could not hear him when he would start playing games across the alleyway. For months I only had my word to go on if tying to pursue anything but with a family to protect. I bought a blink outdoor unit and t allowed me to place cameras in positions where no laws were being violated on my behalf and over the course of a week and spits that ruled theories out I finally found a spot on my property overlooking my vehicle and no private views in line of sight that finally intersected with a vantage point he needed and voila! The son of a decent woman was dead to rights in the can and hanging his self all night without realizing I completely installed a cam location and had whole operation on running in plain sight and he never caught on until I notified him. The final setup had me using a blink mini tethered to my units outliers near the front door for constant recording if needed and the original outdoor blink I purchased covering the only other avenue of approach somebody else could have used to be aiding the harassment. This took almost six months of patient watching over my castle and being stoic and 90% of everything wrapped up in last days of the ordeal after purchasing the blink and add-on. By using a mere blink outdoor, blink mini, sync module, blink app and some app familiarization I got a much needed validation and peace of mind for under $150 and within the 30 tee trial hitch is extended with the blink mini. The only remaining issue is do I go to the cops ASAP, or should I put the rest of my combat veteran skill set to use while I’m at it and put some lumps on him first—of course during the rare instance of a real blink glitch happening during the 120 seconds missing between crossing paths and him napping on the asphalt alone of course. Thanks Amazon. This camera seems great. I used to run Lorenz system security and was hamstrung by structural limitations and being tethered. The mobility of the blink at the drip of a hat was unbelievable. It had its pitfalls but I didn’t run into them and one can allowed the flexibility of many. The mini finished the deal. For the photos the unit he was in was immediately to the left and the blink for the checkmate tucked suddenly into the corner of my threshold unawares to Sir Douche’. The second photo is the moment said bag realizes he may have just been rope a doped.

I recently purchased these Blink wireless cameras. The picture quality is good during the daytime , and better than I expected at night. If you add a good motion sensor spotlight near the camera, The night videos, are drastically improved. The mounts for the cameras are much better than I expected when I installed them. The clip together attachment of the camera do the mount had me worries that the cameras would pop off with the first wind gust. I was wrong. The wind never lets up at my house and the cameras withstood the recent 50-60 mph gusts like a champ. I did have one problem with a couple of the cameras not detecting motion. I walked in front of the cameras several times during daylight hours and never got an activation. I checked the Wi-Fi signal and the signal was good, so that wasn’t the problem. Reset the cameras a couple of times and would occasionally get a motion detection. I really liked the cameras but I couldn’t trust the reliability of a couple of them. After a month I removed them and replaced them with another brand.
