Kinda disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I love the sound quality and the noise canceling is primo however I don't love how quickly they die and I just can't seem to get a comfortable secure fit in my ear. I also feel like they protrude quite a bit from my ear. I really like when my ear buds sit flush with the outside of my ear. The other thing is sometimes they take awhile to connect and they also don't immediately disconnect once put back in their case. I have to manually disconnect them with my phone

Posted .I'm happy to hear you like the audio and noise cancelling of the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, Teresa! It's true that the earbuds' battery can deplete within 4 hours if you're using the Immersive Audio setting continuously. However, a charging case with 100% charge will supply a further 18 hours of use. As for the fit and the occasional connection issues, please contact your local support team, so we can take a look and help further. Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support

Great sound, frustrating software
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst earbuds I've ever owned. The sound quality/battery life are amazing. However, everything else about these earbuds is terrible. They have connectivity issues on a daily basis. Sometimes they refuse to connect to my phone and i have to put them back in their case and take them out to reconnect. There have been multiple times that I have to do this repeatedly to get them to connect. Other times, I have to restart my phone completely for them to connect. Ive tried them with my android and my iPhone and they both have the same issues with these earbuds. Also, while listening to music, they will randomly cut out. When this happens you have to, again, put them back in their case and take them out to reconnect. There's also a rather loud crackling noise that happens when music is paused and sometimes its audible while music is on. Finally, there is no way to find these if you misplace them. Bose does not offer a tracking or find my feature. I would definitely not recommend. The sound quality is made useless by the software. Save yourself 50 bucks and get a pair of airpods. I'm personally going to be returning these and getting airpods

Posted .HI there,
It's great that you found the sound quality and battery life amazing with the earbuds. I understand that you're planning on return the earbuds due to the connectivity concerns you've raised. Before you return them, I'd recommend trying the steps here https://bose.life/47aVuEt to help with getting them connectivity, and here https://bose.life/3tIdQil for them dropping the connection.
I'd also double check that the stability bands on the earbuds are full seated all around the earbuds, this will be to ensure they sit correctly into the charging case.
The static noise is unusual, and I'd recommend following the guide here https://bose.life/46ljNzU to help with this. You can also reach out to us https://bose.life/contact for support as well, as we'd love to have you enjoying the earbuds.

Posted .I'm glad to hear you're generally happy with your QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds! Sometimes, it can be necessary to re-sync your buds with the charging case; another thing you can try is a quick reboot of your mobile device, as this can also help establish a strong Bluetooth connection. As for Siri, the in-built microphones of your earbuds act as an extension of the mic in your mobile device. If you're having issues with using your earbuds to replicate functions that you can otherwise use on your mobile device, our support team will be happy to take a closer look for you: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. Disappointing Connection Ability
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is amazing and the noise cancelling outstanding. But even fully charged they cut out in the middle of phone calls and my 1st pair also struggled to connect to anything. So I exchanged the 1st pair but the second pair just cut out on me in the middle of a call just yesterday. My daughter recommended I just get Airpods even though I'm an Android and Windows user. I think I will.

I really wanted to like these.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these with the optimism that they would perform like previous Bose purchases and have really tried to make them work and like them. In my opinion, Bose released them without proper testing and quality control review. 1) There are frequent connection issues where the earbuds lose connection and then can even require me to have to completely reset the bluetooth link with my phone. 2) The rubber tips have a plastic ring in them that eventually breaks lose and makes them come off in your ear every time the buds are removed. Once it separates, there is no way to fix it (I am going on my 3rd set of the tips now in just 5 months of use). 3) Battery life is not great, I get about 3-4 hours on a full charge. When traveling, it will last about 1/2 way through a flight after using them in the airport. Lucky I still have a spare set of buds I keep in my bag. I am planning to try and return them under the manufacturers warranty this weekend, Hopefully Best Buy will allow this. If not, I guess I have to eat the $300 I paid for these.

Almost Perfect!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Great Sound (a little improvement over the QC II, definitely more bass, a little more highs and better clarity). Much stronger ANC (lower and higher frequencies). Comfortable for hours of listening, they stay in my ears no matter what. The Immersion feature is nice. Makes the music sound more clear (keeping the thumpy bass), but it is not for all music genres. Definitely great for movies. More stable connection with the phone and with the app. Still buggy sometimes with the app, but better than the QC II. Cons: They have a faint static noise on the left earbud. I have two pairs (Black & White Smoke) and both have it. And I've read on the internet that it is a common issue. You can hear it on quiet environments. Hope Bose is aware and fixes this issue with a future firmware update. No wireless charching for a premium earbuds. Although Bose sells a silicone case cover for $50 that enables wireless charging. Not fair to spend an additional $50 on a $300 earbuds. No múltiple connections. It's only limited to one device at a time. Hope Bose enables this feature with a firmware update too. Battery it's still around 6 hrs (less than average), but Immersion drains it faster, 4 hrs. I wish you could turn of the NC or Ambient mode engine so you could get more hours of playtime.

Posted .Hello,
Thank you for leaving your thoughts on the QC Ultra earbuds! It's great to hear how you enjoyed the sound quality and noise cancelling features of the product.
With regard to static noise, all speakers/headphones/earbuds have a level of hiss present which is normal. The amount will vary from device to device, but the presence of ANC means you will hear it more on good noise cancelling buds as the sound you're hearing is not blending in with the outside world ambience. This will not cause any problems to music playback.

A little underwhelmed
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had these for a few months now and use them almost every day for the gym, biking, etc. Pros: -Sound quality and noise cancellation are seemingly best in class -Customizing the fit has been helpful for stability -Quiet mode and Immersion sound about the same (not sure if that's pro or con, just something to note) -They look great and are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time Cons: -Bluetooth often only connects to one headphone when putting them in -If you remove one while they're connected, you can only restart music via your phone, the tap function will not recognize pause/play -Not properly waterproof, have issues in any exposure to moisture where the modes continually cycle making them unusable -Phone call quality is subpar. I generally have no problem hearing, but the other party on the line has consistently reported they can't hear me If all you want is to listen to music, the sound quality on these is lovely. However, the basic features on these such as bluetooth connectivity and touch buttons have had major issues since I bought them, which for buds in this price range is extremely disappointing.

Posted .I'm happy to hear that you use your QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds almost every day, and that you like their sound quality, noise cancellation and customizable fit!
If you're experiencing Bluetooth connectivity issues, try rebooting your smartphone (which can help), and also try your earbuds in a different environment, to compare performance there. Also, if you remove one earbud while the earbuds are connected, you can easily restart your music by re-inserting the earbud into your ear.
As for the earbuds' water resistance rating, they are rated IPX4, meaning they are protected against splashing water from any direction. I hope this explanation is useful. Lastly, if the person you're speaking to says they cannot hear you, try angling the Bose logo on your earbuds towards your mouth/chin, which will allow for the best mic performance. Also, make sure no headgear is blocking the mic holes on your earbuds.
For any further issues, our support team will be more than happy to assist you further: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US.

Bose Quietcomfort Ultra earbuds
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds are exactly what I was hoping for and more. The active noise cancelling was my priority when buying due to studying in loud environments and I can’t express in words how amazed I was when first using them. I did a lot of research on different opinions regarding the many options of ANC headphones/earbuds and I do feel that these could be the best in class. It was especially surreal when talking on the phone while using them for the first time, and I felt like I went from a crowded bar to being in the same room with the person I was speaking to. The sound quality is superb and is exactly what I’d expect from Bose (I average 50,000 minutes of music listening a year on Spotify). The battery life is sufficient and I haven’t had any issues. There is often a very low buzz sound in the left ear when not listening to anything during quiet mode (specifically when connected to a device), and I have experienced some minor connectivity issues but nothing substantial. I 100% recommend these, whether it be just for music listening or efficient communication in public.

Very good, but not ideal for Apple users
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to upgrade my first generation Airpods Pro. I compared these Bose buds with the AirPods Pro 2nd gen. My main objectives were improved ANC, good sound quality, and ease of use. The Bose are excellent on the first two. ANC is outstanding, far better than the older Airpods. Sound quality was very good as well. However, there were some minor glitches. The connection to the iPhone dropped sometimes and there was an occasional lack of sync between the L and R buds that would create a brief echo effect for a second or two. Also, the integration with Siri is not as seamless as with the Airpods. So I bought a pair of 2nd Gen Airpods, and found that the ANC and sound quality was on par with the Bose buds (though I did not do a deeper dive by comparing musical tracks; at first blush they were both good enough for me), but the Airpods function more smoothly in the Apple ecosystem, with fewer dropped connections, ease of use of Siri, etc. So, I returned the Bose buds. Bottom line: they are very high quality buds with comparable performance to the Airpods, but, as many online reviews say, the nod goes to the Airpods if you're swimming in the Apple waters.

Bass-y!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These truly do have the bass compared to the Beats and iPods Pro. I like the Moonstone Blue color as opposed to the black and off-white. They fit quite well and really are husband-cancelling (oops noise-cancelling). It takes a little getting used to at first. I don't care for using the Bose app to connect via Bluetooth but it does have an equalizer.

Most of hype is true
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being a long time Bose fan back to the black and white plug in headphones from 90's /2000's. Their noise cancelling has progressively improved and the sound quality has always been top tier. With these earbuds the following are awesome; * Noise Cancelling is unbelievable * Battery life with noise cancelling easily 5-6 hours consistently *Spatial /Immersion sound is unbelievable For the money you spend they deliver in above and are my first buds i grab for commute and headed to work. Sitting in most cubes now you will encounter the loud talkers and i hardly every hear those people with these. Only thing i will knock them on is the call quality is not as good as Air Pod Pros and they disconnect from your bluetooth on occasion for no reason. Other than that they are awesome.

Sound quality is great… Connectivity, no so much.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the sound quality of these earbuds. The fit is so comfortable that I sometimes forget they are in my ears. Because of this, I am willing to deal with the connectivity issues. The buds automatically connect to the last device you had them connected to. You cannot go from device to device seamlessly and you have to go into settings and select the buds on the device you are switching to. Also, I can be listening to music on my phone, get a call and answer it, but the caller is heard through my phone and not the ear buds. I have the iPhone 15 ProMax. It is pretty frustrating and I am sure Bose can do better. Hoping for an UPDATE!!!

Bose 2nd Gen earbuds are a downgrade
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded to this set after a dismal experience with the Bose QC II debacle. The connection issues were few and far between however still present. Often times I'd have to reseat/remove the buds for a second or two in order to get them to connect. Call quality was probably worse. I grew tired of constantly being asked if i was in a tunnel talking or constantly being asked to speak up. It became normal of being told that i was sounding like a robot whe having conversations. And yet again the right earbud suddenly would not broadcast higher than 10%. I cleaned these as instructed by Bose as always and the identical issue of why i returned the QC II's was the exact reason these were returned as well. The sound quality, fit and ANC were great and i wanted so badly for these to work however at this price point the bad simply outweighs the good. I returned these also. The first gen QC earbuds were simply better mainly because they just functioned as designed. It's my honest opinion that Bose 2nd Gen earbuds are indeed a downgrade from the 1st Gen QC earbuds.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds - A Symphony of So
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds stand as a paragon of acoustic engineering, soaring above competitors with a sound quality that transforms the auditory experience into something almost ethereal. The ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) feature of these earbuds is nothing short of a marvel, significantly outperforming rivals like the SONY XM4 earbuds, especially in challenging environments such as a room filled with server fans. The QuietComfort Ultra earbuds don't just cancel noise; they create a sanctuary of sound. One of the most intriguing features is the 'immersion mode.' It's as if the narrator of your favorite audiobook has been teleported right in front of you, their voice a clear, tangible presence. This feature adds a dynamic aspect to the listening experience – when you turn your head, the narrator's voice remains fixed in place, creating an almost surreal experience. It does adjust eventually if you change positions, but the initial effect is quite impressive. However, every masterpiece has its flaws. The QuietComfort Ultra earbuds inherit some quirks from their predecessors, the QuietComfort 2. The microphone quality, for instance, leaves much to be desired, especially while driving. This could be a deal-breaker for those who rely on clear communication in transit. Additionally, these earbuds occasionally struggle with connectivity. Pairing them with each other and other devices can be temperamental, requiring frequent resets. This can be particularly frustrating in noisy environments like server rooms, where you need them most. The reset process, involving seating them in the charging case and holding down the pair button, is straightforward but can be time-consuming. In summary, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds are a fusion of remarkable sound quality and advanced features, with ANC being a standout. The immersion mode is a delightful bonus for audiobook enthusiasts. However, the microphone quality and pairing issues are notable drawbacks that might dampen the overall experience for some users. Despite these issues, for those seeking an unparalleled auditory escape, the QuietComfort Ultra earbuds are a sound investment.

Unbelievable noise cancelling, connection issues..
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound quality is great, noise cancelling is unreal. Its so good I can't believe it. The fit is much better than airpods and they're comfortable. The connection issues are real, which is hugely embarrassing for Bose. Its been an issue for generations, and they don't seem to have a competent team of developers to fix it. They are either like ESPN, embarrassingly bad developers, or they just don't care. Either way, its frustrating.
