Kinda disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I love the sound quality and the noise canceling is primo however I don't love how quickly they die and I just can't seem to get a comfortable secure fit in my ear. I also feel like they protrude quite a bit from my ear. I really like when my ear buds sit flush with the outside of my ear. The other thing is sometimes they take awhile to connect and they also don't immediately disconnect once put back in their case. I have to manually disconnect them with my phone

Posted .I'm happy to hear you like the audio and noise cancelling of the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, Teresa! It's true that the earbuds' battery can deplete within 4 hours if you're using the Immersive Audio setting continuously. However, a charging case with 100% charge will supply a further 18 hours of use. As for the fit and the occasional connection issues, please contact your local support team, so we can take a look and help further. Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support

||Posted . Posted .I'm glad to hear you're generally happy with your QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds! Sometimes, it can be necessary to re-sync your buds with the charging case; another thing you can try is a quick reboot of your mobile device, as this can also help establish a strong Bluetooth connection. As for Siri, the in-built microphones of your earbuds act as an extension of the mic in your mobile device. If you're having issues with using your earbuds to replicate functions that you can otherwise use on your mobile device, our support team will be happy to take a closer look for you: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. Disappointing Connection Ability
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is amazing and the noise cancelling outstanding. But even fully charged they cut out in the middle of phone calls and my 1st pair also struggled to connect to anything. So I exchanged the 1st pair but the second pair just cut out on me in the middle of a call just yesterday. My daughter recommended I just get Airpods even though I'm an Android and Windows user. I think I will.

Great Sound Quality/Terrible Mic Noise Cancelation
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality of bose products are always GREAT! But why or how they haven't figured out microphone noise cancellation is amusing with technology now days. If you're in a noisy environment, forgot about using these ear buds. Being in the trades, its definitely something we need, and hopefully an update is released to address this issues. The pods themselves and the changing case are very well made.

Posted .Hi Jeff, it's great to hear you were impressed by the sound quality of the QC Ultra Earbuds, but I'm sorry to learn you had problems with the built-in microphones during calls. It is important to ensure the buds are positioned in the ear so the microphones point directly toward your mouth as if they are improperly inserted, you will find external sound is picked up. Give this a try and you should notice a marked improvement on vocal pickup during calls.
If you need any assistance, we're here to help! Head to https://bose.life/3ET4mCs for further support.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are nice but lack a few things that make the purchase a great buy. Pros Mode selection. You have 3 settings and emerse wow, I cant hear nothing but my music. The slide on my ear bud to increase and decrease volume, love it. Cons The Bose App is really lacking. Unable to find battery status on the case. The app doesng show and case has light. There is no numerical value for the battery of the case. Unfortunate experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these to use on my marathon and the training leading up to it. They sound good but the time i needed them the most at mile 21 the right one stopped working not sure why. Later after upon inspection i dropped one and now the squishy ear tip falls off or gets stuck in my ear. Unfortunate, i want to like them more but they have let me down.

Posted .Hi GentilM,I am sorry to hear the Bose QuietComfort Ultra didn't meet your expectations for volume,
one thing to try is Different media types might produce different quality sound. For example, Podcasts, music stored locally on your phone, MP3s, streaming music services (Spotify, Pandora), videos on your device or stored in the cloud, etc. can all vary in quality.
if you are still having issues please reach out to our support and we’ll be happy to help look into this further for you

A little underwhelmed
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had these for a few months now and use them almost every day for the gym, biking, etc. Pros: -Sound quality and noise cancellation are seemingly best in class -Customizing the fit has been helpful for stability -Quiet mode and Immersion sound about the same (not sure if that's pro or con, just something to note) -They look great and are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time Cons: -Bluetooth often only connects to one headphone when putting them in -If you remove one while they're connected, you can only restart music via your phone, the tap function will not recognize pause/play -Not properly waterproof, have issues in any exposure to moisture where the modes continually cycle making them unusable -Phone call quality is subpar. I generally have no problem hearing, but the other party on the line has consistently reported they can't hear me If all you want is to listen to music, the sound quality on these is lovely. However, the basic features on these such as bluetooth connectivity and touch buttons have had major issues since I bought them, which for buds in this price range is extremely disappointing.

Posted .I'm happy to hear that you use your QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds almost every day, and that you like their sound quality, noise cancellation and customizable fit!
If you're experiencing Bluetooth connectivity issues, try rebooting your smartphone (which can help), and also try your earbuds in a different environment, to compare performance there. Also, if you remove one earbud while the earbuds are connected, you can easily restart your music by re-inserting the earbud into your ear.
As for the earbuds' water resistance rating, they are rated IPX4, meaning they are protected against splashing water from any direction. I hope this explanation is useful. Lastly, if the person you're speaking to says they cannot hear you, try angling the Bose logo on your earbuds towards your mouth/chin, which will allow for the best mic performance. Also, make sure no headgear is blocking the mic holes on your earbuds.
For any further issues, our support team will be more than happy to assist you further: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US.

Bose 2nd Gen earbuds are a downgrade
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded to this set after a dismal experience with the Bose QC II debacle. The connection issues were few and far between however still present. Often times I'd have to reseat/remove the buds for a second or two in order to get them to connect. Call quality was probably worse. I grew tired of constantly being asked if i was in a tunnel talking or constantly being asked to speak up. It became normal of being told that i was sounding like a robot whe having conversations. And yet again the right earbud suddenly would not broadcast higher than 10%. I cleaned these as instructed by Bose as always and the identical issue of why i returned the QC II's was the exact reason these were returned as well. The sound quality, fit and ANC were great and i wanted so badly for these to work however at this price point the bad simply outweighs the good. I returned these also. The first gen QC earbuds were simply better mainly because they just functioned as designed. It's my honest opinion that Bose 2nd Gen earbuds are indeed a downgrade from the 1st Gen QC earbuds.

Unbelievable noise cancelling, connection issues..
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound quality is great, noise cancelling is unreal. Its so good I can't believe it. The fit is much better than airpods and they're comfortable. The connection issues are real, which is hugely embarrassing for Bose. Its been an issue for generations, and they don't seem to have a competent team of developers to fix it. They are either like ESPN, embarrassingly bad developers, or they just don't care. Either way, its frustrating.

Great sound - needs work though
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The connection sucks. I constsntly have to either repair the earbuds or they disconnect by themselves. Sometimes they wont even connect first try. Ive seen other people saying the same thing. Overall though, esrbuds normally hurt my wars and these ones I can have in for hours thanks to the tips and in general comfort which is what I was looking for. Noise cancellation is superb. Love it. And sound quality is amazing. That suprised me because I have another pair of Bose headphones that have a lack of bass and have more of an acoustic sound and these earbuds really make up for that. However, if youre on the phone with someone they’ll sound pretty low despite the volume being turned all the way up (I’m guessing for sound protection but it would be nice to hear the other person better). If you’re in a really loud area, the other person wont be able to hear you too well. Other than the connection issues and low call volume and people not being able to hear you well, this is a really great product for someone who travels a lot and doesn’t want over ear headphones but wants everything that comes with them. Oh, the batterylife is pretty cool too. 6 hours of charge time.

Is it worth it?
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using several high-end buds ive found there isnt one best. Each has its plus and minus which is subjective so it depends what features are more important to you. For me the Bose was the best fitting most comfortable set ive tried. The sound was really good however not the best for my ears. With the fit and sound being good i wanted to keep the buds but connectivity became very annoying. The Bose app is terrible, sometimes the buds would be connected to my phone but wouldnt connect to the app. Got tired of messing around with the app trying to get it to connect. While washing my car with the phone in my pocket my music cut off twice. That was the last straw for me the buds were returned.

Posted .Hello,
Thanks for leaving your feedback regarding the QC Ultra Earbuds. It's great to hear you were impressed by how they fit and how good they sounded. I'm sorry, however, to learn you experienced problems with connectivity and the app. Connection issues can generally be resolved by unpairing and establishing a new connection. Failing that, a factory reset can help.

Bose ultra
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is perfect. The noise cancellation is the best I’ve seen so far. Battery is great. The reason I gave 3 stars it’s because the volumes of call is so low. I am a driver so I can only keep one in my ear at a time. And I struggle to hear at max volume. ( something that I wouldn’t have a problem with a very cheap Bluetooth) and also it keeps connecting and disconnecting all the time. To other than that it’s pretty perfect.

Posted .Hello Will,
I am glad to hear that you love the sound quality and noise cancellation performance of your QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, but sorry if you are experiencing low volume during phone calls.
If you are in a busy environment or driving and are only using one earbud at a time, it may explain why you are not getting the best audio during your phonecall. Please try test it using both earbuds in a quieter environment to see if you get a better sound.

Good, but not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoyed these for the most part. The noise cancelation is probably the best I've ever had. The sound quality is very good, too. As is the fit and comfort. Now for the bad. The case is absolutely huge and doesn't have wireless charging. There's no multipoint. Both of those features at this price point should come standard. The battery life on the buds is nothing special, and the app is average at best. But the biggest issue for me was the connectivity issues. Sometimes, when I take the buds out of the case, one or both of them wouldn't connect to my phone. Or, when I would try to switch connections in the app from my phone to my tablet, it either wouldn't connect or it would connect, and the audio would continuously go in and out. Like I said, I really liked these buds but, for the price, there are far better options.
