I recently purchased the limited edition, green Bose speaker, I charged 100% made sure he was charged 100%, I tested it out playing a few of my gospel country music. I can definitely hear the base in it. It’s very loud and I had the opportunity to test the regular sky blue at work so I know it like this was a speaker that deliveres, sound and quality! however, with that being said, I played a few songs. I listen to a lot of gospel country music so there is a lot of bass with that being said I feel like if you listen to a lot of song that has a lot of bass and it’s constantly pin the battery is going to die enormously I do believe that because I’ve only played about 15 songs and the battery went to 80%. , It went down to like 60% and that was only being played 10 to 15 songs again the ones that I’ve tried they’ve lasted way longer so I’m kind of confused on that but I’m going to test on my country music and see if it is the fact that the song has a lot of bass so it’s a lot of battery power? Already do believe that is a problem and if being that so I might have to return this, which would basically be a bummer

      Hello Tiny,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the SoundLink Flex speaker.

I am glad to hear that you love how this speaker sounds. Please note that the battery life is on average up to 12 hours at typical listening volume, but the usage of the speaker at extreme volumes will reduce its playback time to as little as a few hours. Also if you typically listen to music with a lot of bass, that can also impact the battery life.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our support team: https://bose.life/contact Best regards, Lau - Customer Support bose

Sounds decent and gets loud. But the different parts of the music get lost and just mix together. I missed the return window and if I could I would return it. There is also a noticeable dead zone in the sound that can be played by the main speaker and what is played by the bass speaker. At least it has great build quality.

Hi Nathan! Your SoundLink Flex speaker will last for 12 hours at typical listening volume. Using the speaker at extreme volumes will reduce this to as little as a few hours. If you're having issues with volume, make sure the volume on your connected mobile device is also turned up. As for overall sound, the speaker's PositionIQ technology will adjust the EQ based on the speaker's orientation, e.g. horizontal, vertical, or on its back. Give this a try - there's nothing else you need to do to make these adjustments. Warm regards, Fiona M. - Bose Customer Support bose

The main issue is the Bose App Sadly pairing 2 Bose speakers you will need to always use the Bose app. Yes it’s easy but the lag responsiveness to link 2 speakers successfully has issues. Will definitely return one. If you have the patience then buy 2 for stereo mode. Enjoy! =]

Great sound quality at low to medium volume, but distortion at anything above. Battery holds out great for about 8 hours or more at medium or less volume. Charge time is not that bad and wireless connections are decent with once in a while having to connect/disconnect on my iPhone. This appears to be a unit that could take a beating, especially at a construction site and keep on going. I also love the ability to connect 2 of these for a stereo sound, as I tried it once with a Bose sound link color, which is a previous model and it worked great. You need the Bose app for this though, so keep that in mind. That being said, the audio quality should be way better at higher volumes for a Bose product.

I have owned more than 5+ Sony speakers and this is the speaker with the highest and clearest and crisp quality. I still prefer Sony Speakers for Bass and Battery Life. Pros: -Clear Sound Quality (Crisp and Sharp) -Can Pair Multiple Bose speakers at once - Waterproof. - 6 hours of battery life (continuous) - Bose website claims 12 hours - but I am only getting 6 after testing speaker for 2 months. Cons: - Battery life is not the best especially if you plan to stream music for more than 5+ hours on the highest volume. -Does not come with charging brick. However, package includes USB-A to USB-c charger.

Purchased this speaker because everyone raved about the sound quality. For the price piint it lived up to it. Nice sound. Good bass. Great build. All around great speaker....however.....i dont know if its got to do with the older version of bluetooth or what, but the speaker constantly keeps disconnecting from my phone or completely powering down altogether. Sometimes i wouldnt make it through a single song and it would just shut off. Ive tried connecting my phone with the Bose app and also via the bluetooth settings within my phone as well. People were complaining that the Bose Connect app was causing said issues but i had no luck at all. Bose definitely puts out a great sounding product, but i had to return it

The sound is great but the shape is odd and it rolls over often. The charging port makes it awkward to charge. My least favorite feature is the voice that tells you it's ready to connect over and over from the other side of the room when you disconnect and don't turn it off.

Hi Chris, I'm glad you like the SoundLink Flex's audio performance! If you're not enjoying the voice prompts, don't forget you can turn these off by turning on your speaker, and pressing and holding Volume + and Volume – until you hear a confirmation. As for speaker position, the Flex is designed to be used horizontally, vertically, or on its back, and shouldn't roll over in these positions. We'd like to know more about this issue, and the charging issue you mentioned as well, so please contact our support team here: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. I have to say I am and have been a loyal customer to Bose for as long as I could remember. I also must say that unfortunately was not blown away by this purchase. the sound quality is fantastic as usual but the volume leaves alot to be desired. I was unimpressed by the lack of volume. I would have exchanged this speaker and was willing to upgrade me purchase but Best Buy said it was past the 15 day return policy. I am very disappointment because I was under the impression It was a 30 day exchange policy and the speaker was a gift not given until a week before the deadline. So unfortunately I am displeased with this purchase and will not purchase from Best Buy again.

Firstly let me start by saying I am a huge fan of Best Buy. I purchased a couple of different Bose speakers as gifts for Christmas, however this speaker came with no USB cord or any other means of charging the speaker. Of course there was no way of knowing that until after it was opened on Christmas day. Th person I purchase the gift for borrowed a charger. The speaker sounded very good. To hear it you would think that the speaker is a lot larger than it actually is. I would have rated the speaker a solid five(5) star had it come with a way to charge. PS. It is listed as a USB included.

If you want a bluetooth, portable speaker that is easy to use and has average sound (you know the rules, when it's only highs and lows, its a Bose), this may be a good pick for you. However...if you want those things and great sound quality, you may want to listen to the Marshall Emberton II before you make this purchase. I perform a sound quality test between Bose, Sonos Rome and Marshall Emberton II. Bose was easy to use, but the sound quality was average at best. Sonos was frustrating as heck. You have to join it to your Sonos eco system and when you are able to use just bluetooth, you lose functionality...and the sound is not worth the price and not much better than the Bose. The Marshall was ready to go right out of the box and the sound quality blew me away no matter what genre of music I threw at it.

It was unfit for me personally. I didn't like that whenever you tried to strap the speaker to your side and when you would move; the speaker would always sway in and out blocking the noise. The sound was perfect and bass was fantastic. It's just that I thought it would be smaller. The speaker isn't bad I just didn't like it.

The battery life is no were close to 12 hours. At full volume, after 3 hours the battery is at 50 percent. The sound is very clear. Not very loud, but it’s loud enough for a small speaker. Very easy to take everywhere.the best thing about this speaker is the clear sound.the new Sony SRSXG500 is bigger with great sound it a little heavy.

I wanted a speaker that I could use at the gym. Loud, durable and have a great battery. I bump this speaker...there's no way this lasts 12 hours. I went from 100% to 90% in three minutes. If you're in the market for a speaker that will last when turned up...it's not this one

      Hello,

Thanks for leaving your thoughts on the SoundLink Flex.

You should achieve around 12 hours of playback at an average listening volume. This will reduce at much louder volumes as it requires more power-use for output. The speaker can be used while charging, and charging takes roughly around 4 hours.

Great BASS. But not sure if it’s a manufacturing error or if I got a defected speaker. For some reason when the bass goes it sounds like a blown speaker unless the area where you charge it is covered by a cloth or piece of tape. It tends to rattle and makes the sound quality very poor

Sound quality is good as I would expect from Bose, the only thing saving this review from being a 1. Was torn between this product and a similar priced Marshall product so I ordered them both. The Soundlink Flex connected seamlessly to both my phone and computer. I like that it has a mic and can be paired with another speaker for stereo sound. Unfortunately, the sound is just not good. I do own several high end speakers so maybe I was expecting too much. I thought the base and treble were decent. However, the mids were just too muffled. I have some older portable bluetooth speakers (UE boom) that sounded just as good. I then tried the Marshall. Big difference! Not quite audiophile quality, but in line with what I was hoping for out of a tiny speaker. I just wish the Marshall had a mic and could be connected with other speakers. In the end, I will keep the Marshall and return the Bose. Hope this review helps.
