Nice product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent a couple of weeks reviewing color laser printers online before this purchase. I visited a local store to see how this model functions. Overall I am impressed with 4070CDW. After passing my confidence check with the product after a couple of days, I donated my HP laser and HP inkjet printers to a non-profit without looking back. I bought it primarily for home/personal use. We have 2 computers (one is a wireless laptop and the other is a desktop). 2 more wireless computers for the family are pending. I bought this model aware of some less than positive comments about: - Size of the printer (It is a larger model that came in a very big box, but its size is not that cumbersome once out of the box. From the reviews, this model appears to be more meant for small office/business rather than home so the size was expected.) - noise during printing (True, but the sound does not last that long [warmup plus actual printing]. For a very small home office, it might be annoying. However, the printed page quality is worth the distraction.) - curling of printed page (It is not really noticeable. Relatively minor issue.) - Set up of the wifi (I dreaded the possibility of calling a Help Desk like during the set up of other wireless equipment in the house. However, I was successfully able to get the wifi set up with the provided instructions after 2 trys and about 30 minutes.) - wifi range (Does not seem to be an issue with our house. Works just fine 3 rooms away from the laptop. No complaints from other family users in the house.) I am very satisified with printed pages (both B/W and color).

Awesome Color Laser
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our second color laser and we like it very much! The duplexing is awesome, it prints on one side, then pulls the paper back in and prints on the other, cool. Setup on our wired/wireless network was easy enough. Changing/installing toners is very easy in the tray that pulls out. Paper in and out is on the front (sameside) takes up less room. I would buy this printer again, we have had it a short time (3-4 weeks) but it has been awesome so far. No problems, so far. It was onsale for $400.00 our last color laser was $600.00 and lasted about 6 years. I think this one will last longer. I would say Buy IT, you will like it. Have not tried envolpes or photo paper yet. We use this printer at home.

Amazingly Wonderful Workhorse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are in search of a workhorse for your home/business (other than yourself), this is it. I've always loved Brother products. I still have and use my first HL1240 series that I purchased many moons ago. My reason for purchasing this one, was because I needed color, and an inkjet simply would not do for my home graphics business. The colors are absolutely amazing. And as always, Brother's black - is true black. I was debating between this model and the 4070, but I'm so glad that I saved the extra bucks, because it's worth its weight in gold. Speaking of weight, this printer is huge! I'm pretty sure you could stuff a fifth grader inside with room to spare! So if you are planning to put it on a table, make sure that is pretty sturdy and spacious. Let the people in the store do the lifting. I also love the fact that I don't have to have my computer on, I can just plug my thumb drive right in the front and select my files to print from there. Also, even though it is not wireless, I have it hard-wired into my wireless router, so I don't have to have it USB'd into my laptop! Now I've got 5 computers networked wirelessly. So save the extra money by not getting the "wireless printer" (4070 model), you can use that money to buy your first set of replacement toner cartridges. Ah, you've gotta love technology!

Great Product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a well built machine. The print quality was better than I expected after reading previous reviews. Also, the WiFi set-up went straight-forward. In my case, I needed to plug the printer into my WiFi router (just to get it set-up). We have the printer in a room on the second floor and have no difficulty sending files from anywhere in the house. This is so convenient as all of our computers are MacBooks/laptops. I even printed from my iPhone using the Print Magic app.

Poor Printer, Poor Company
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this printer for generating on-demand marketing materials. The print quality was only fair when new, but in less than a year it has become unusable. When I contacted a local authorized service center, I was told on-sight service required pre-authorization. I never had that issue with HP. I found out that pre-authorization cannot be obtained by email … waiting on hold on the telephone is required. We will probably donate the printer to a school, and stick with HP from now on. I am the CTO of my company, so I know a little about printers and what good customer service should be.

Very Poor Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased TWO of these printers and they are both bad. Very hard to connect wirelessly and the print quality is VERY bad. I am looking for a replacement. Two other associates purchased and are displeased with quality of print as well.
