We have only had this refrigerator for a week but we love it. The meat drawer is awesome. Freezer holds a ton of food. The lighting is great. Ice and water dispenser is sleek looking and functions well. In the pictures we had not yet added the recessed waterline, so it is actually more flush with the counters after we made that upgrade.

great fridge but the color is more dark blue than black. doesn't look like the picture. Hot water and precise fill is awesome.

Love it, we just upgrade from GE profile to the cafe appliances and couldn’t be happier, is fancy everything works well, and I can now have my tea ready when I wake up. Wouldn’t change to any other brand

We chose the Cafe' series in Matte White for the remodel which means our 15 y/o Kenmore Elite unit which was still kicking was sent to the garage. This one is counter depth which freed up some space in our kitchen but we don’t seem to notice the loss of space like others. No one has these in store to look at so it was like Christmas waiting for them to show up to match colors etc. There are several reviews that go into detail but let me focus on the few items that we have noticed in the last few months. Noise - I had hoped the reviews were wrong but this thing does make more noise than our old Kenmore. It seems to run about 80% of the time whereas the Kenmore was about 50%. Don’t really have other options so we deal with it but it does make noise and you just need to be aware. Protective Film – All I can say is it’s a royal pain to get the protective film off this thing. I know they want to protect it but the film was pitched with components. The water dispenser recess area was about an hour lot of fun to get the film pushed into the seam (Pic before clean up) Refrigerator Area Freeze Ups – Have had the top refrigerator area freeze liquid items twice. We used the recommended setting of 37 degrees but have since switched it to 40 degrees. I bought a NSF thermometer to put in the cooled area and it seems the refrigerator runs about 5 to 7 degrees lower than it says on the actual readout on the display. If it does it again I am calling GE for a repair. Even with those few issues we still are in love with our new refrigerator but I can say without question they really don’t make things like they used too (That’s all the manufactures)

This review is for the product only because trust me when I tell you there isn't a low enough number to choose from for the Polaris store, ordering process and delivery. The fridge is great. Wifi was easy to set up through the app. This is our first fridge with an ice maker and my daughter loves it. The adjustment for the shelf depth helps with taller items for sure. Got cold super fast upon initial setup and have had zero problems to this point. Only negative is the freezer door comes out of adjustment occasionally whenever you pull on it from off center position. It fixes easy but I'm sure if it continues it will strip the gears on the track.

The color is a beautiful matte black and it’s nice to have programmable hot water directly from the fridge, even if it is only ~8oz. It is a practice shift to have to push the door shut but otherwise, and the water and ice dispensers are kind of deep so you may have to hold the glass and press the dispenser with your finger.

Sadly it’s been Nothing but constant trouble.. First one came with a broke door. Waited 2 weeks for a new one to arrive and it was not installed by the delivery men. So I had no idea it was also broken until after they left. Had to have GE come out to look at it. They found no leak, yet it was leaking from the door. Finally got a second person to come and a new door replaced only to have new issue with this one As well. I have nothing but GE products in my home but this one falls far from the mark. Not sure I would recommend to anyone

bought this after returning a defective samsung. this unit cost about twice as much so i am hoping that fact and the GE brand name leads to a better outcome. it has an industrial look to it with the bar style door handles and the water/ice dispenser looks pretty high tech. this function also takes up room in the left hand door,resulting in shallow shelves on this side. the crisper drawers are also small. everything seems to be working so far although there is no thermometer on the door to know exactly how it is performing.

For some reason GE Cafe products are expensive. This refrigerator is really nice but like all counter depth fridges there is minimal room inside. Not recommended for more than 2 people. The Best Buy contract installers did not not remove all the blue tape inside which is not easy to get removed. Not keen on bottom freezers. Frozen food has to be removed and placed aside while I find what is hidden underneath.

Bought this refrigerator because, my LG refrigerator gave out on me after only 2 years. The technician at Anthonys said that all 80% of his trouble calls have been on Samsung and LG. I went with CAFE. Its sleek and I was over the stainless-steel bandwagon. Wanted something different than everything everybody else has.

Good product. Seems to work well. Looks nice. We like the features.

I gave it a 3 but should of been a 1 but because of its beauty I gave a 3. I get a lot of compliments. The white color goes beautifully with my white cabinets. *** It’s not deep enough. I can’t even place a gallon of milk in it, I use the door instead. This fridge isn’t ideal for a big family. I’m very disappointed on the size of the inside. Not sure how I’m going to manage on thanksgiving trying to place platter’s of food in it.

We purchased the open box product and it is exactly what we wanted. There is plenty of space. The shelves are adjustable. Very happy.

We got it because a brand new LG instaview refrigerator had a bad plastic smell/taste in dispensed water and bad taste was not an issue that I can get a service. Thanks to BestBuy return/exchange policy, we moved on to this GE. After flushing the amount of water in the manual, the water tastes good! What a relief! This particular model comes with hot water dispenser and touch control panel. The hot water dispenser is okay in a pinch but I wonder whether it actually first boils the water then cool down to the target temperature. Touch control panel is bare minimum and the quality of panel is not top notch. Precision water filling is also very handy when I brew tea/coffee and preparing ramen. All in all, this is a solid refrigerator and I can comfortably recommend. Compared to the LG, the build quality is somewhat lower (e.g., the gap between handle and door) but we really fed up with LG customer service and the bad taste water.

We have had this unit for about 4 months. So far, so good with no issues. It is a very good looking refrigerator with a lot of features. I am a bit disappointed with the smallish amount of ice in the ice making unit. If you are looking for more ice making capability, an internal ice unit might make more sense.

We have had some challenges recently with refrigerators. Our 14 y/o GE Arctic unit developed a leak from inside the door. The solution was a repair coasting over $1k, but the rest still being a 14 y/o unit. We decided to get a new one. We ordered a GE Profile int eh same size, but low and behold that one leaked too! Fast forward to looking at a lot of alternatives, doing research, etc. but ultimately stepping into the Cafe' series. The overall capacity is lower than our previous unit, but that's okay for us. The space is efficient and I have to guess that the actual usable space is much closer than a basic size spec reveals. Good access to everything inside, great lighting and a great water / ice dispensing system. We also love the counter-depth size with the flat doors verses the rounded doors of the profile side by side. It looks a lot better in out kitchen space The only concerns noted so far are (1) the unit is louder than we would prefer. We will withhold judgement on this until we get the unit filled. Suspicion here is that the unit is working hard to maintain temperatures while nearly empty. Refrigerators are always much more efficient with items in them. The next is the freezer pull out. It seems a bit wobbly, but again, we want to get some items in the drawers to see if that provides more stability. All good so far, and first impressions are very positive.

This is a beautiful refrigerator! I also like the top part as all refrigerator because you can find things easier. It seems to be more spacious. I can always find things easier in the freezer section too. My old refrigerator had narrow deep shelves so you really had to dig around. This one does make some noise sometimes. My old one never made a sound.

The refrigerator is very nice. Delivery went well with a call the day before giving us a 2 hour delivery window. We received a discount for a small scratch on the side.

Love the frig.. but not happy that the freezer tray came thru w/ a blemish on the finish... had a bubble in the plastic coating. Brought this to the attention of Pacific Sales...just wanted someone to look at it... wouldn't come out... but the sales rep did send out a replacement part. Not sure if I should be required to make repairs to a brand new refrigerator but who knew!!! Still like the frig tho...
