Absolutely Worth It
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I play this game on PC with my siblings and its a great time. Three full featured modes ensure that you have plenty to do all the time. First you have your normal multiplayer, second you have their expertly made battle royale mode Blackout and last you have Zombies which is fantastic. On PC the game performs wonderfully. Buttery smooth. High recommended.

A great COD game finally
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I stopped playing cod once the whole jet pack thing started. I began playing competitive on BF4. But like every hungry money company they get greedy n try to release crappy games every year. Bfv just like bf1 are not battlefield games n have lost their way. So I decided to give cod another chance since they had battle royal. The game is phenomenal, no more jet packs n more of a realistic shooter. Multiplayer is great, if u enjoy cod games. Nothing has changed in that aspect. But battle royal is were is at. In my opinion the best battle royal out there. Easy to find weapons n action. Highly competitive, n addicting. Makes u want more every single time. The only reason I gave it 4 stars simply because they need to patch up some of the server connection.

It's COD...for better or for worse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've played COD before then you really know what you're getting into. The new Blackout mode is pretty fun but it's not without issue. If you don't like bullet sponge games with a lower tick rate then you won't really be bothered by some of the issues that plague this game. Straight up multiplayer is fun as always though. Runs smooth on all types of hardware and it's very easy to get a locked 60FPS experience. Ran well on my old RX480 and my newere GTX1080 sleighs it!

Get It On Sale
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The online offerings is well enough to keep you interested. The game is split up into 3 main modes (Multiplayer, Blackout, Zombies) with a tutorial mode (Specialist HQ). Core gameplay is the same as past boots-on-the-ground COD games except HP is higher so more focus on skill and head shots. There are manual heals (compared to auto), so you have to choose between healing and reloading in tough situations Armor (Blackout/Multiplayer) and quick scope (multiplayer) tends to be the meta as of this review, but may change from patch updates and/or the community discovers something new to exploit --Specialist HQ. This basically a tutorial mode that explains each of the character class abilities for multiplayer. There is some background story cutscenes: ~30seconds prologue and outro for each character class. Now onto the 3 main modes: 1. Blackout A battle royal game similar to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Fortnight where you and 99 other players parachute down a plane to any point on the map to a survivalist game to see who can be the last person standing. The map is ridiculously large, having the border shrink every time the player count dwindles and/or countdown timer reach certain intervals. If you are outside the border, you constantly lose health, so you're constantly moving. You start off with no weapons/inventory and have to scavenge for them on the map. Every pickup is randomized throughout the map every time you play This game resembles PUBG more than Fortnight due to it's realistic, non-cartoonish setting. Unlike PUBG it's more polished and has less bugs and microtransactions (as of release, may change later??). Also the graphics are way better. Weapon/item variety are more generous in Blackout Character customization is limited as you can only select the gender and race of your characters. There are some some skins you can choose from, but have to be unlocked by completing certain objectives or reaching a certain caps. There's also character emotes/sprays, but i haven't seen anyone use them. There are supply drops, and zombie area on the map to get better loot, but it's a big risk/reward system There are 3 game types: Duo, Solo, and Team. All are essentially the same except Duo and Team consists of 2 player and 4 player teams respectively and has a total of 100 players compared to solo which has 88. === 2. Zombies There are 2 separate stories: one a continuation from Black Ops 3, and a brand new story involving time-travel. There are 3 maps (1 of which is DLC) Zombies are now faster, resembling more of Left 4 Dead series of games. Also have some new wacky enemy types A lot of easter eggs throughout. Like previous COD Zombies there's a lot of comic mischief and jokes character spill out as you play Core gamplay wise it's traditional COD, but with special weapons and elixirs. The latter of which is a temporary abilities booster which has a cooldown period before you use it again. Outside the story modes where you have to figure out how to progress, there's Rush Mode which is traditional horde mode where you don't have to focus on purchasing upgrades with in-game money/unlockables === 3. Multiplayer Traditional online multiplayer for COD. Less changed/new out of the 3. When you first start off, like recently released COD games in past years it's unbalanced until you grind for your desired loadout. This is because perks, weapon attachments and items are unlocked as you rank up. Seeing online is split between the 3 main modes, player selection is less forgiving than past years as you can have someone who played 100+ hours vs someone who just started playing. The game tries to balance this out by having one 100+ hour person and one < 1 hour person on each time for example. If one of the 100+ hour person is more skilled than the other 100+ hour, they may just wipe the other team out like nothing. But if you have "skill" then you can offset this. Other than that, you have to grind for your desired loadout/max weapon upgrades or...git gud. The way i see it, it's not about the wins, it's about learning from your mistakes and having fun, but that's just me. Nothing really changed since the last COD game except maybe some weapons, and maps (14 at launch with some retro maps) Game types include your traditional Team Deathmatch Free for All Search and destroy Kill Confirmed Domination Hiest Hardpoint Control You can also choose between core and hardcore modes. The latter having more restrictions, and more catered towards skill. As mentioned before, you get more health. This along with knowing all random spawn points/maps; differenitates more skilled players over the noobs. This mode is till twitch heavy close quarters first person shooter combat Overall, no matter how you stack it, you get a lot of quality content for the price, even if you play 2 of the 3 main modes. Each game mode can be a game onto itself.

Good game, but incomplete
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've enjoyed the multiplayer experience so far with the typical COD multiplayer and now battle royal. Battle royal definitely takes patience and time to get at least decent at. I say this is an incomplete game due to the fact there is no campaign and rating it accordingly. I may have given it 5 stars if the campaign was decent.

Solid game even without a campaign
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blackout beta was alright, yet wasn't excited for this even after hundreds of hours in PUBG. I've played Zombies, Classic Multiplayer, and Blackout. All have strong changes from previous entries or other PUBG/BRs. Zombies has a freshness to it that the past few entries needed. Buffs, crafting, and special class abilities make this shine in BO4. Multiplayer has Heist which is similar to Counter Strike (buy your guns/perks via money after rounds with single life per round). Sounds like a terrible idea but it ended up really fun. This was a surprise and I have been playing this mode the most. Blackout has sound issues (currently) but gives you enough loot to not have to argue over anything with teammates like PUBG or Fortnite. Other than some balancing issues with armor/guns and microstuttering/large frame drops in the open areas with quick movements it's a pretty great BR. Be aware this mode only came with one map. Strangely enough this can be worth it on PC for some multiplayer/BR heavy people even though there isn't a single player. Again be aware there isn't a true single player campaign.

Great Game.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well there is not much to say about this game. The name says it all. I am a player of stories. And I like the Calle of Duty games. They are good games and if you like multiplayer then too.

No Story? Don't fret, Blackout is great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blackout is great especially if you're tired of Fortnite's building aspect. You also get Zombies and Multiplayer, which offers hours of fun. Battle Royale is what keeps me and my friends coming back though. Check it out!

Best COD Since MW
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MP feels the best it has in years, the new Blackout mode is basically a faster paced PUBG that actually works and runs smoothly. IF you're into zombies it seems like this is the most robust version of that to date.

It's Call of Duty, you know what to expect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You should really know what you're expecting when you're buying a call of duty game and this game was no different. I enjoyed all the standard modes CoD was known for but the introduction of a battle royale was definitely a nice change of pace. Just a shame I always have to buy the new version every year or two

Great game, kinna revived cod
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There’s little to zero issues with any part of this game. I love it. Used to hate cod for half baked ideas in the recent years but all around this game has been played by its own devs without any doubt. Solid aim solid power ups solid classes and there’s none of the flying unpredictable annoyances that just aren’t cod in this in any multiplayer mode. Also blackout mode is insanely good compared to pubg. Fine tune it even if you have a great graphics card to where it plays even smoother n butteryier. Overall just a lot of variety and a lot of fun. 10/10

Great Multiplayer Only Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Left 1 star off due to some bugs but overall the game is a great multiplayer experience. The three main multiplayer modes (Regular multiplayer, battle royale, zombies) combined are IMO worthy of a full game price but if you like only one particular mode then maybe wait for a sale.

Multi Player Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played all the black ops games and I have to say I was very hesitant about buying since I always enjoy the single player story on this game but Very happy with game. You have regular multiplayer, awesome zombie game modes and new take on battle royal. The specialist is a nice touch to and I am very happy with the game and will not be putting it down for a long time.

Fast paced action FPS game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is good in the sense of allowing for different options. You can play different modes on multiplayer, play in a battle royale, or the classic zombies.

based on price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only paid $25 after my gcu and rewards certificates so this review is based on that price. CODBO4 has no single player campaign so any price under $30 is okay to buy this game. The multiplayer is improved and the black ops mode is way better than pubg. The zombies mode is really fun as well for this is also a beginner mode to start with.

Great game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a COD player since 2005, and every yearly release delivers and BOIIII is no different. From arena-based MP to the new battle royale Blackout, COD is back in 2018 and better than ever!

purchase good, game lacking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchase from Best buy great. Install and gameplay your on your own. After playing cod ww2 expected a little more from this game. Of course box has nothing but key code in and with download url. Due to not having campain like ww2 you are on your own to learn keys setup, and have guess how to play this game. Maybe is an age thing, but your own you own to learn gameplay. Still finding out from other player chat that there are YouTube videos out there to help to learn. I guess with a lot of trial and error (deaths), I will be able to catch up lol. I do like the maps, etc. So in time I will enjoy more as I have with ww2.

It's Been Awhile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have not purchased a Call of Duty game in quite some time...not since COD Ghosts. I don't mind the part of there not being a single-player campaign, I normally focus on multiplayer. The overall experience has been good; only a few crashes but nothing to deduct a star. I feel like they are focusing on their strong suits and it is showing! There has been plenty of variety of maps, unlocks and game modes to keep me entertained thus far. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that likes a faster-paced battle royale mode, fans of classic COD style matches, and want a more robust Zombies experience. The only knocks that I have experienced are the imbalanced feeling of special abilities for operators but those can be tweaked. I feel like there will be plenty of support/patches in the future to address any concerns and to keep things polished (one launching today, October 19). My only concern with the PC version is the overall pool of players but we will see if the developers can keep hold of the PC community.

First COD game I have enjoyed in a while
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I normally buy both BF and COD games each year, and this is the first COD I have enjoyed in a few years(same can be said for BF, both have kinda stunk lately). Zombies is awesome this time around, and I have enjoyed the MP even(though I normally stick to Zombies if possible).
