I upgraded from a T3i to T6s and now the 5D mkIII. I've noticed right off that there is less noise in my images compared to the Rebel brothers when using higher ISO settings. Even though I rarely used the flash on my T3i and T6s, I wish the 5DmkIII had a built in flash as a backup. Another minor gripe I have is that I wish the screen could swivel like the Rebel series LCD panel. Other than that, this camera is fantastic and is worth every penny.

Expensive, but well worth the price. Perfect for astrophotographers. It has very low noise with high ISO. The learning curve is not bad for those already familiar with Canon.

Seriously, you would if your going from a rebel or the two digits to this bad boy. I know there are newer dslr but with the new ones this still performs better than those.

Bought the Canon eos 6d first, tried it out and it was alright. It was lacking a lot of features. This camera has it all, it is spendy but it's worth it. Spend the extra Money, you will not be disappointed. The lens in comes with is amazing. I also bought the 1 year warranty for 150 dollars, Probably wont need it, cause this camera is really durable. also bought a couple lens filters with a 32 gig sd card. I did a quick Unboxing of the Camera kit, Copy and paste the link if you are interested what comes in the box. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_o0ROq293i0

I researched for six months prior to purchasing my 5D Mark III with the 24-105 lens in the kit. First of all, I love the camera and the pictures I'm getting. If I had it to do over I would pass on the 24-105 lens, it's a great lens if you have enough light but at f/4 (its fastest setting) it is not able to shoot in low light without extreme high ISO settings which results in background noise. I like to shoot wildlife, birds in particular here in Florida. The camera DOES have some point and shoot ability so if you're not the best photographer and have not read the manual completely, rest assured you can pull this camera out of the box, install the lens, charge the battery, install your memory card and get ready to shoot some awesome pictures. Many pro photographers complain about the jpg quality from this camera but they look good to me. Normally I shoot in RAW and those photos look outstanding. The camera comes with a CD of Canon software for developing your pictures. I normally use Photoshop but the Canon software works well and I've been pleased with the results. It's nice to get such a complete software package along with the camera. The 5D Mk III shoots amazing video. You need to put it on a tripod to make it really look good but if you put a little effort in to your set up you can shoot epic video with this camera. Canon 5D Mk III has excellent build quality and is great for outdoor shooting in various weather conditions. Overall I'm very pleased with this Canon camera. Zero regrets. Awesome photos and video.

Great Camera. Had the 5D for 9 nine years....made the move to the EOS 5D Mark III and I love it. Love it for the full frame capabilities, like a glove in my hand, easy to use. Still have not explored all that I know it can do. Paired with the 24-105 lens, makes a great team.

This is an excellent camera that performs really well in low-light. Feels solid and built like a tank. Its 61-point AF system makes it really easy to focus. In-camera processing of RAW images is a bonus in case you want to quickly tweak the settings like WB without having to necessarily process it in a computer after you capture the shot. I bought this from Best Buy with the 24-105 L Kit lens which is a pretty good versatile walk-around lens.

Before purchasing the Canon 5D Mark III I read numerous reviews and knew that I wanted a professional camera. The 5D Mark III was the winner and what I decided on, and I couldn't be happier. HD video recording is amazing, photography feels like heaven. Everything about this camera is solid. Make sure you look into lenses to achieve certain results you might want, but if you're looking into this camera you know what time it is.

This camera has more features than you could possibly use with just normal point and shoot. The quality of the photos is unbelievable. The camera is a bit heavy but reasonably easy to hold.

Have been wanting to upgrade from the 5D Mk II to the Mk III for a while ... and it's totally worth it. The low light performance is even better, and the AF is lightyears ahead of the Mk II. Finally! Now I'll be waiting for the Mk IV ...

Definitely one of the highest end DSLR camera's out there in the market. It really is for the serious photographers and videographers & not a beginner camera. The camera needs to tuned well before you start to get the best out of it. Look up for YouTube tutorials on setting your 5D for the best performance. You won't regret buying this. Make sure you get a great quality card and atleast basic set of lenses to make the best out of it.

The Canon 5d Mark III is an amazing camera. It's not for someone new to photography. Many features that photographers can use to capture great images. There is a great on line class for using the 5d Mark III at Lynda.com that is taught by Ben Long, well worth the price of admission.

Canon - EOS 5D Mark III is really good for amateurs. It provides very good images and the photo is clear is clear no matter how many times it is enlarged. This machine is more than satisfactory. I have taken it for travels three times since I got, and it has never failed me ever since. I like it and I would like to recommend it to friends.
