Canon EOS RP with the 24-240mm lens; My first mirrorless cam. I’m not a professional but all the things I wanted are here. Fast focus, from basic manual settings to smarter than me, and FAST! Unbelievable lowlight capability and ability to easily tweet any setting. Smaller than the mirrored DSLRs, which concerned me at first, but I quickly adjusted my thinking. Lighter and honestly, more comfortable to hold, and I’m not a little guy. Came with the EOS to Mirrorless Lens converter does I can still use my older DSLR lens.

I am a consummate hobbyist and have owned well over a dozen cameras starting in 1977. This is by far my favorite. Love the size, picture quality, and low light performance. Having used the RP for a month now, I have 3 Nikons, 7 lenses, etc., up for sale! Best purchase this decade!

Long time Canon user. When this camera and lens came on sale I knew this would be my best choice upgrade. From simple point / shoot user to advanced amateur such as myself this camera has it all. Highly recommended! This shot was a series when this Egret showed up looking for food. This one has him just got a fish about to land in his beak!

I went from a Canon 60D to this. Love the sleek, smaller design and the fact that it’s mirrorless full frame. I shoot in raw manual and have no complaints about the performance. Love the feature it has allow you to use the touch screen, adjusting the focus point by sliding your finger on the screen. I would recommend this camera but do yourself a favor and purchase the extra protection. This time I decided not to do so and now ended up dropping and breaking my lens. And I am one who takes pride and keeping a tight grip on my cameras. I’ve attached a random unedited shot I took from it.

For beginners to professional photography this cameras capable of both. Some photo/video editing software can be beneficial. Great for hobbyist too!

Good: Good full frame sensor. improved focus where the in focus scene elements are clearly marked. Outstanding resolution. Not good: Scenery under bright sunlight is not clearly visible like the mirrored cameras Overall: Good still trumps the bad.

Bought this camera as an upgrade over a Rebel T6 and the results are absolutely stunning. This camera is the cheapest way to get into the full frame mirrorless market and it does so very well. Images are sharp, startup and cycle times are fast, ISO performance is great for its price class, and the included 24-240mm lens is a step above. You might be missing out on a few key features higher end bodies have (silent shutter in more than one mode, dual card slots, etc) but you will pay hundreds more for features you may not need. This included kit lens excels as a lens with a very wide focal range, something that typically requires some sacrifices, but not in this case. Using the built in lens profiles in DPP4, images are sharp, little to no chromatic aberration, and no black edges at any focal length. This lens is the perfect carry around lens. The best part, you dont have to stop down to see increases in sharpness, its actually sharpest wide open in most tests! (You can find technical reviews of this online). Sure, if I spent more I could have gotten a better body with slight ISO improvements, but I would have to spend much more to get a decent lens with it. Only cons: Battery life is poor at best, but with conservative use turning off the camera when not shooting I can easily get 600+ photos out of a battery rated for 250. Couple that with USB C (PD) capable charging on the fly, and its not that bad. It is worth noting the video capabilities of this camera are lackluster compared to the competition, but it has excellent quality for someone who shoots occasional video on a photography built camera.

Crisp images. Video quality is good. Light weight when compared to the Sony ar7ii that I have. Best for travelers. The photo quality is good. You will not regret buying this camera. Thought of buying EOS R, but have to spent $1000 more so ended up buying EOS RP. The lens 24-240 serves all your needs. This is the one I recommend for all who’ll would love to travel and would not like to carry on too much. weight

I purchased this camera to be able to expand my kit that I take to weddings as well as enjoy a new horizon in the mirror less world. I can say I have not been let down. Canon has made fantastic DSLRs and the RP holds up against some of the top mirrorless at such a nice price range. This body paired with the RF lenses from Canon makes this a perfect camera for those who don’t want to break the bank but still want really good quality. The touch screen makes going between settings incredibly fast, and adjusting on the spot has never been so easy. For my tiny hands, this grip fits perfectly, and the weight is not enough to make me tired after a full day at a wedding venue. Overall, fantastic camera, A+!!!

First, let me preface this to say that I don’t consider myself to be a photographer, let alone a digital photographer. I have, however, been a Canon fan since the days of their Digital ELPH and PowerShot cameras in the early 2000s. I tried advancing to their Rebel Ti Series but found DSLRs in general to be too intimidating and too bulky. I finally switched to the EOS RP because it feels great in my hands and feels easy to use, more like a point-and-shoot. There’s much about this I need to learn, so this won’t be a deep technical review but a subjective review from a newbie. For what it’s worth, however, my dad is a photographer who took a lot of pictures in the ‘80s and ‘90s with his Nikon SLR. He didn’t jump to digital until I convinced him to try the Canon EOS RP. He fell in love with it, too.

If you are looking for a beginner full frame or a backup to the EOS-R or 5D Mark IV look no further. This camera produces great images without a crop factor. What your focal length and aperture is that is what it is. Video shooters needing dual pixel auto focus in 4K it doesn't utilize it. But if you can manual focus then the 4K is usable.

The overall quality and design of the camera is unbelievable. It's sleek and lightweight yet sturdy is a plus. Canon has removed the bulkiness and I love it. Sharp pics and vivid colors have gotten me locked in. I would recommend this to anyone switching from the normal DSLR to mirroless

I love this camera. It's my first mirrorless and honestly, this is worth every penny. Yeah, it doesn't film in 24fps, but I'm looking at it from a photographers perspective. The quality is amazing, the interface is easy to learn and it feels fantastic in my hands. Lightweight compared to DSLR cameras, this is a great purchase for getting into Mirrorless cameras.

Excellent camera. The full-body frame is definitely worth the added cost and is cheaper than most full body frames without sacrificing quality. Haven’t used it for video, so can’t attest to this, but the photos are superb.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. He needed a nice camera for college and he loves it. So much lighter and more features than my Nikon dslr. Expensive but if you are going to use it in your field well worth it

I love Canon camera and the Canon - EOS RP Mirrorless Camera with RF 24-240-mm F4-6.3 IS USM Lens is great. Easy to use takes amazing pictures.

Pros: Probably the best value Full Frame mirrorless. Great professional photos! Cons: 4K video is probably not any better than a basic 4K camcorder. Video on a tripod is okay.
