Great product but bad support from Canon

The device is excellent and I bought this in 2021 and I just had to buy printer ink for the first time this year and I print a lot. I wanted a laser printer to handle the large volume of printing needs I have now and this fits the bill. If I would have known there were color laser printers I would have purchased that but I didn't know at the time. This printer is great, quick and wireless and just all around amazing. I love it. I did have some problems with it this year and Canon was amazing and sent me out another printer, once I escalated the matter. But a con is that Canon shut down repair centers and I had a problem with an error code and the person on their end told me my printer was broken and that I would have to replace it since it was out of warranty. It was not broken and I could still use it and the person was just wrong so the support for Canon products, at least this one, is not there so I would not purchase if that means something to you and you are not like me who has the Holy Spirit of God to lead and guide me in all wisdom and who told me not to take what that person said as truth. Other than that, great and durable product from a great company and now that I have a brand new one provided by them I am very happy. Make sure your paper tray keeper inner thing is there, mines wasn't with my first printer.

Ok, would of gotten 5 stars, but has an issue with the software you install if you have auto IP addressing wireless/router. Set your router's IP address for this printer to be static, otherwise so far it is having issues. I think you can do it from the User Panel on the printer, but who wants to do that with numbers? Easier to set it on your network router. That being said, solid printer, especially for the cost.

Excellent laser printer for home use. Print quality is very good in general but print presets mmmmmm lacks adjustability, overall a good value for the money. However the user interface is old school, badly needs update with a modern look.

I got tired of ink jet and don't need color, so was going to get another Canon that my brother in law recommended. It was out of stock, so after some research I picked this model for low volume home office use. So far I am very happy with it - just gave it 4 instead of 5 stars due to the cost of laser "ink" refills and my lack of confidence in getting an off brand refill. The paper holder has more capacity than I need as well. I would rather have it lower profile with less capacity, but didn't see a model with that option. So far so good anyway!

Only issue I am currently facing is wifi connection. It keeps dropping and may be due to the fact that I am not an expert in fixing IT related issues. Overall good product.
